hey guys what is up so it's the morning,time it's like 8 A.M I'm going to a,doctor's appointment,um going to a doctor appointment we're,gonna be making a really sugary salad,um this takes like a few hours to put in,the freezer but actually it takes like,probably like minutes to make so I don't,even think it's gonna be like a real,Cookie Monster video I have been,obsessed with like ambrosia salad like I,swear I like didn't even know what it's,called I was talking about it like,literally months ago in the pool and I,was trying to like describe it to,everyone around me like no one knows,talking about like fruit salad potato,salad,and thanks to Twitter you guys told me,it's ambrosia salad now obviously I,didn't think I heard of Ambrosia style,before but someone's like oh Edward,scissor Hannah mentions it and I was,like oh yeah so I looked at the clip and,she mentions Ambrosia style but that's,not what I was thinking of it but I,always saw this like salad I'm from the,Midwest this is considered a salad and I,just always wanted to make it everyone's,like it does not sound good like people,in my like life are like it does not,sound good that does not sound like a,tasty thing you're not gonna like it but,I'm making it today and I'm really,excited so yeah I'll show you guys the,ingredients we need okay so we are going,to have true whip this is like whipped,topping oh I didn't even show it in the,frame whipped topping I actually like,love Cool Whip but she specifically said,like whipped topping so I don't know,about that then we have some vanilla,yogurt okay then we have some Mandarin,oranges canned,some crushed pineapple,some fruity marshmallows which I've,never seen before but the recipe called,for also I followed a recipe on a Blog,so I'll link below the recipe,some pecans which I don't think we,really like but we're gonna throw those,in there and some shredded coconut I,don't even know like how much to put in,or anything so I'm like just so we have,some unthawed whipped where's it called,whipped topping Not Cool Whip and so,we're gonna just I mean kind of unthawed,I took it out relatively early but okay,so we're mixing that with,the vanilla yogurt do we put the whole,thing in I think so we'll just put the,whole thing because why not I guess you,could use this tub,I kind of gotten a cool whipped kick,lately like the blue one not this kind,um because of Strawberry Shortcake and,it's like over my childhood like,seriously this is not like a stereotype,Midwest people love this ish,okay and then I guess we'll just um,mix in some vanilla yogurt I guess I,have no idea again there's no video on,this so I'm kind of just,so mine's already kind of like melty a,little bit,so I don't really know how you're,supposed to like mix this together maybe,I should use like a spatula,like I'm assuming it's supposed to be,all the same consistency,maybe this isn't like thought enough,like am I supposed to whip it mix it,maybe I'll just mix it with like a mixer,I don't know y'all this smells kind of,funny with the yogurt,they're cool if you had me at the court,but this I don't know,I guess you're supposed to like freeze,it back but,cool the whipped topping was maybe,supposed to be a little more,okay I'm gonna try and mix it all,together so we're not just tasting like,a big yogurt chunk,does this even look good I don't even,know,I put the whole whipped topping thing,maybe it was just about more than one,I just don't know the texture at all,I've never made this never seen it at a,party like I've seen it on like TV I,guess and that's how it's like in my,mind,I just feel like it's supposed to be,more like cohesive,like I'm supposed to whip it more,this might be it this might be a fail,anything baking related I just,immediately can do,but I want to get this smooth,because the next step is throwing all,the fruit pieces in there and I just,don't want to like chunk them to start,right,okay I'm gonna try and chunk this down,flatten it and then we'll throw in the,fruit so that's a pretty good,consistency I think I don't know that's,the spot that's good we're gonna get so,we're going to throw in the oranges and,the pineapple and kind of just,everything and we're gonna mix it,together I'm also doing a tick tock yo,sorry,add in the oranges,I'm gonna put too much in either okay I,guess that's not that much all right,and then we are going to add in the,pineapple,add in some pineapple,foreign,oh it's kind of Juicy still okay,that's okay let's just take a little bit,out,again I don't want to put too much,because I don't know if I put enough,cream stuff in all right so that's our,fruit she kind of has it all together,and mixes it all together,so,these are fun the marshmallows,I just don't want to get any of it oh,man there's like pineapple juice in,there ah okay I don't know if that's,okay but you know,it is what it is okay,some fruit marshmallow,it's got everywhere but that's okay we,keep a clean kitchen I actually love my name's Joyce and I notice that you,have not tasted any of the ambrosia,salad that I made especially for you,allow me,welcome to vlogtober answer if you dare,welcome back to vlogtober day six today,we're making ambrosia salad,the first thing we're going to do is mix,in our Cool Whip,next we're going to add in our sour,cream,now let's add in our pineapple chunks,why did I start talking like a,southerner,we're going to add in our maraschino,cherry,now let's add in our Mandarin London,laughs,now let's add in our sweet coconut,flakes,now we're gonna add in our mini,marshmallows,here we have our lovely ambrosia salad,now what I'm gonna do is I'm going to,take,these three glasses here,and I'm going to fill one with a little,bit of a pistachio pudding packet,this one I'm gonna go ahead and put in,some of our maraschino cherry juice,and this one is going to be the original,I'm gonna see which one is my favorite,and then we're gonna go from there,go ahead and add in some of our pudding,mix,feel like that should be in there then,I'm going to add a few drops of some,green food coloring,let's go ahead and mix her up,next we're going to add in some of our,cherry juice,and a few drops of our red food coloring,and I will see you see you in my next,video and I will bring the ambrosia,salad

so come this way,Eddie no come in here come in here I,want to welcome you to my beautiful,kitchen and I just want you to make,yourself at home thank you so much for,coming here with me today I'm very,excited to work with you we're gonna,learn so much from each other oh we're,gonna make my famous ambrosia salad and,then I have something very special that,I want you to help me with so let's get,started on that and precious salad,now Eddie I want you to come in club so,you can see all this there are quite a,few ingredients but don't you worry it's,going to be so easy because we're gonna,do it together all right now pay,attention Annie painted that we are,going to go through the things that we,need to make it first of all now rest,assured I have everything ready we're,gonna look at them together one at a,time you're gonna need 3/4 of a cup of,heavy cream chilled which we have right,here and then you're gonna need a,quarter of a cup of powdered sugar which,I have right here and then a half a,teaspoon of vanilla extract which is,this oopsie I got some on my nails you,wanna lick it off no that's alright I'll,wipe it on a napkin now pay attention,honey we're gonna clean it right off,after we do the vanilla extract are you,following me,alright we're gonna need like a half a,cup of sour cream which is right here,that's nice and then we have a four cups,of the adorable little mini marshmallows,and I got the ones that are the,multicolored fruit flavor oh it's gonna,add such a nice taste to this ambrosia,salad alright and then we need one and a,half cups of sweetened shredded coconut,which we have the sweetened coconut,flakes right here that's gonna make it,taste so exotic it's fascinating and,then we're going to need 11 ounces of,mandarin oranges and I have a can of,dome right here that we have drained and,it is ready for us next you're gonna,need three quarters of a cup of,maraschino cherries with the stems,removed which I have done already okay,then you're gonna need 1 cup of,pineapple tidbits drained which I've,also done we have the middle of tidbits,here of the pineapple don't you just,love pineapple it's a yellow like,sunshine now are you ready to begin,because now we have to get into the,instructions first thing we need to do,is move this little bag out of the way,I've already cut it as you can see,that's gonna make it pour right out of,it and we can measure our 4 cups of,marshmallows that way I'm gonna set it,aside though all right Eddie now what do,we need to do first in a clean,medium-sized bowl like this one here you,want to combine the heavy cream powdered,sugar and the vanilla extract so first,we need the heavy cream it's gonna bring,this in alright oh I did it again I got,cream on my fingers Oh,we're just making a mess maybe later we,can clean up together there we have the,cream for that and then we need the,powdered sugar that quarter of a cup,just enough we're gonna sprinkle that in,like this we're just gonna distribute it,over the top now this is all gonna get,blended quarter of a cup of that and,then we need the vanilla extract can you,help me measure the extract it comes in,this adorable little bottle here now we,are gonna need a half a teaspoon of this,so you pop it open you tease out the,little measuring spoon and you gently,carefully measure out 1/2 of a teaspoon,doesn't that smell wonderful and we're,gonna just drizzle it nice and easy over,the top just like that and now we are,gonna set this aside now at this point,we are going to need to take an electric,mixer to mix this together on high speed,until you get stiff peaks in the mixture,sort of like a Cool Whip consistency so,let's mix it up Eddie all right I just,like that Eddie there we have it are,they stiff peaks maybe we better check,oh look how stiff that is I think you,did an excellent job blending that we,scrape it down from the sides a little,bit like this doesn't that just look,delicious,well it looks just delectable just as it,is right there but we're not done yet,and now we're gonna set this aside and,get a large mixing bowl,yeah oh now don't worry this is what,this is what it's gonna be presented in,when it's all done right now in this,large bowl we are going to add the,marshmallows coconut oranges maraschino,cherries and pineapple so it's,essentially everything else see all,right now before we add the other we're,gonna have to add these sour cream to,the first mixture that we made we're,going to let that sit with its stiff,peaks for just a few minutes but while,we wait for that we're going to do this,part now in this one we are going to,needs you add the marshmallows so we,need four cups of mini marshmallows so,what we're going to need to do is fill,this one two three four times with this,little colorful marshmallows now here we,have see the bag so we're just going to,slide this up a little bit make room for,dimension now you have to be careful,because if you're if you're not I spill,all over we're gonna do this full word,size let's

good moral lovely little ghosts and,welcome to the dark Orchard for Lara,Watson's 13 days of vlogoween,as I said my intro this is a following,video more specifically today I'm going,to be showing you how to make ambrosia,salad but not just any ambrosia salad,my ambrosia salad this is a recipe that,I adapted from other Ambrosia salads and,it's pretty simple in comparison to,others mostly because you don't have to,put coconut in it a lot of people are,not okay with the texture of coconut so,instead I use coconut extract or coconut,flavor to counter balance that to keep,all of the textures smooth and not have,like that hard gritty crunch of actual,coconut in my ambrosia salad this of,course comes inspired by,Edward Scissorhands where there's that,scene where everyone in the neighborhood,is trying to get Edward to try their,Ambrosia salads and everyone has made a,different kind I noticed that you have,not tasted any of the ambrosia salad,that I made especially for you,guys,very easy to make your own it's,basically just a fruit salad,with some specific Staples literally,when I make this,it's gone,so fast and the last batch that I made,lasted two days two days with two people,eating on it in the fridge just gone in,two days so if that's any Testament at,all this is a good dish a very delicious,dish and something that you can,definitely take with you to picnics and,Gatherings and it will be an absolute,hit it's very refreshing it's not heavy,and it's something that people can snack,on if they're waiting for a main meal so,without further delay let's get started,okay this has got to be one of the most,simple recipes I've ever shown you in,that saying something we're going to,make our whipped cream I know it sounds,really tedious but it's not because all,you need is,1 4 cup of powdered sugar,and 3 4 cup of heavy cream,then I'm going to take my electric mixer,plug it in and mix in our whipped cream,until there's some kind of stiff piece,there we go,so now I'm going to add half a teaspoon,of vanilla extract,and I'm going to mix that in real quick,gorgeous so now I'm gonna do something,that sounds a little weird,this is one half of sour cream,to the one half cup of sour cream I'm,going to add a fourth a cup,of coconut extract,there's no actual coconut in it it's,just the flavor,and then I'm also going to combine that,to my whipped cream,foreign,now,it's time for the things that make,ambrosia salad ambrosia salad so first,we're going to open our pineapple,and then our Mandarin oranges,and we're going to drain them because,they need to be drained they need to be,as drained as you can possibly get them,because the more drained they are the,less,liquidy they'll become lighter so what I,usually do to remedy that is I pour them,into a strainer and just kind of agitate,them around for a while,and then add my favorite ingredient,the maraschino cherries,now you can strain these just like you,have with the fruit but I like to just,add them because,they're not going to add that much juice,once the cherries are in you want to add,your fruit next,and then the best part of ambrosia salad,some marshmallows I like to use the,Lucky Charms marshmallows because,I have fun shapes,I just love the colors this adds,usually when you get the Lucky Charms,marshmallows they aren't this melted but,I had a problem with my last Food Lion,pick up,I also ordered a pumpkin and it was,rotten when I received it,okay then I usually take a spatula and,mix it all together I don't want to use,my mixer for this because there's just,too much that would slush about,using the spatula,you can combine it all and get,everything coated,if you want your ambrosia salad to look,like one from Edwards because your hands,you can always add a little food,coloring,I personally like the colors that the,marshmallows add and the cherries and,the oranges,so once everything is fully combined,you'll want to transfer this into a bowl,that you can serve out of and transport,to your next get together,something like this,so I'm going to,transfer it over,and you know you can mix in different,fruits different flavors but this is the,basic,ambrosia salad,it's got a lot of Mandarin oranges in it,which makes it so good and juicy the,cherries really give it a good pop too,like this is the,this is a very refreshing thing to take,to say a picnic,it would be a lovely treat to take to a,picnic or have an ambrosia salad Bake,Off that'd be fun,because everyone makes a difference that,was kind of the joke in Edward,Scissorhands is that everyone's in,Precious salad,versus her hands inspired ambrosia salad,doesn't that look so yummy I am always,amazed by how pretty it looks the pop of,red from the maraschino cherries I like,to keep them whole too in case you,didn't notice because when you bite into,them you get that like juicy Crunch and,oh it's so nice and then the pineapple,just kind of breaks it up with a,slightly different texture but nothing,too gritty then of course you have the,the Mandarin

foreign,in today's video I'm going to be,bringing you a nostalgic yet iconic,dessert to give you a hint this dessert,has been previewed in the movie Edward,Scissorhands any guesses,if you said or if you're thinking,ambrosia salad then rest assured that is,what I am going to be making today,without any further Ado don't forget to,like comment share and subscribe and,let's get in the kitchen,all right so here's the bowl that I'm,going to be using today the ingredients,that I'm using are marshmallows whipped,cream,cherries fruit cocktail chunks and then,a bag of pretzels the recipe it's not,very specific however I like something a,little salty in my sweet so that's why,I'm using the pretzels now all you're,gonna do is put all of these ingredients,and blend them in here with the spoon,and I'll show you guys what it looks,like,foreign,so the only thing that I didn't use in,its entirety was the marshmallows and,the pretzels I just kind of eyeballed to,see how much I would need and then the,marshmallows were a little too big for,my liking so I just went ahead and,snipped them in half,foreign,for the next step I believe I used about,three handfuls of pretzels and I decided,to go ahead and crush them using my,hands and my fingers and this salad I'm,making is for my family my hands are,already washed and cleaned so don't,worry about sanitation it's it's all,under control here,foreign,foreign,so now I have everything in the bowl,so now I have everything in the bowl and,I'm just going to whip it all up I did,use the whole thing of whipped cream in,case you guys are wondering,now for the fun part we'll mix it all,together,why are you laughing like that Mama,okay,leading up to the final reveal this,turned out so cute it's so pink and,fluffy if I was a dessert I would be,maybe a little something like this salty,and sweet and there you have it my,ambrosia salad,thank you guys so much for watching I,hope you enjoyed this video as much as I,had fun making it building those,memories and bonding with the family in,the kitchen there's nothing else like it,I will hold on to those memories and,cherish them for as long as I live I,encourage you to do so as well if you,have any family or friends nearby grab,them go in the kitchen build some funny,memories make something crazy or even do,something creative in the living room,with your arts and crafts if you enjoyed,this video please don't forget to like,comment share and subscribe and turn on,your bell notifications on so you'll be,notified every time I post a new video,thank you guys so much for watching and,I'll see you in the next one,bye guys,so I'm going to be brief a little bit,that is exactly what I'm going to be,making,thank you guys so much creative

hey y'all you know over the years I,think one of my most rewarding and fun,projects that I have been able to do,over the years is my to children's,cookbooks it was just wonderful duck,duck to get down with the kids you know,and just have fun with them in fact this,little thing right here that's mine and,Michael's nice that's um,that is Lauren these are other children,I didn't know but weren't they cute but,this is Lauren our niece Nicky and,Jodi's daughter and Jordans sister and,she is getting ready to graduate from,the University of Georgia right now and,then she's going into pre-med she's,gonna become a veterinarian so I just,love looking at that picture because she,really hadn't changed a bit she's just,she's just a little taller,alright so get the children around the,phone or computer or whenever you want,you know because I am make the next two,recipes I am going to share with y'all,is out of this cookbook my first,cookbook and I remember giving Jamie his,first cookbook when he was six years old,and if memory serves me right he still,has it in his library,yeah alright so this is so simple and,y'all don't have to cut on the stove my,little angels so we don't have to worry,about y'all getting burned,all right now we're gonna start and if,children don't know how to read I have,pictures of things so they can tell by,the pictures what they're supposed to be,doing and I'd go home it's not just,recipes y'all it it's like we touch on,table manners and things like that that,I think are just really important for us,to try to teach our children so when we,take them out to eat,they don't make us want to crawl,underneath the table you know gonna mean,with embarrassment all right so here we,go children we've got a half a cup of,sour cream a small let me see how many,ounces this is an eight ounce can of,crushed pineapple that you have dreamed,then I tell you what we're making we're,making an ambrosia salad and I know all,the children out there most of them they,love their fruit the next thing we're,gonna put in it is a can 15 ounce can of,mandarin oranges which has been drained,let's see how much sweetened coconut is,then 1/2 a cup of sweetened coconut oh I,feel like we could almost like being,Hawaii doing the hula with all these,ingredients,all right now boys and girls I'm gonna,add 1 cup of miniature marshmallows you,know so you ask your mommy or your daddy,whoever the cook is in in your house ask,them if there's anything else,maybe that y'all could put in this,recipe to make it really really your,very own you know you could add cherries,maraschino cherries yes you could add,nuts,you could add raisins you could add,grapes,you could add bananas would be wonderful,sliced in here but you just have to,remember that you need to toss those in,a little lemon juice and they go turn,brown on you quickly but I think how,easy can you get and when you sit at a,table tonight with your family you can,look at everybody and smile and say I,made that,and good now enjoy children
