hi everybody this is Diana from sweety,Salado and today we're gonna make a,seven layer taco dip which is very,popular not only because it's delicious,but also because all you really need to,cook is the beef and for that we're,gonna use the taco seasoning that we,made in a previous video and as always,the link for this recipe can be found in,the info box below the video to make our,beef we're gonna use lean ground beef,and we're gonna place it in a large pan,and cook it over medium-high heat until,it's completely browned once it's cooked,we're just gonna drain the fat then,we're gonna add water we're also gonna,add taco seasoning this is homemade and,I'm gonna leave you the link for that,recipe in the info box below and because,it's homemade we're gonna add corn,starch we're gonna give it a swirl and,then we're gonna let it simmer for about,three to four minutes or until the sauce,thickens and once it does we're just,gonna let it cool completely to assemble,this top a dip we're gonna place a nice,layer of refried beans on the bottom of,the baking dish I'm using canned refried,beans but if you want to make them from,scratch more power to you but can be,fine,now on top of the refried beans we're,gonna put a nice layer of cheese any,kind of cheese that you want I'm using,Mexican blend then on top of that cheese,our third layer is gonna be our ground,beef the fourth layer which goes on top,of the beef is gonna be sour cream then,on top of that sour cream we're gonna,place a nice layer of guacamole,it could be homemade I have a wonderful,recipe on the blog but you can use any,kind of recipe that you want on top of,the guacamole we're gonna place a nice,layer of salsa I'm using salsa from a,jar just to make things easier but if,you want to make it from scratch I also,have a wonderful recipe on the blog and,of course I'm gonna leave you that link,in the infobox below then on top of the,salsa we're gonna place another layer of,cheese then for the final layer I'm,using chopped tomatoes and chopped,cilantro but you can finish it off with,whatever you want you can use black,olives green onions and even jalapenos,and that's all there is to it that's,your seven layer taco dip which by the,way it's best when you serve it at room,temperature but if you want to store it,in the fridge all you have to do is,cover it with plastic wrap until it's,time to serve it,if you enjoyed this video and this,recipe please give it a thumbs up share,it with your friends and if you haven't,done so already subscribe to this,channel so you can be up to date with,all the new videos that I upload in the,future thanks everybody for watching and,I hope to see you next time bye bye my,bro itch

hi guys,seven layer dip is a dip that everyone,loves and is such a crowd pleaser,this version is also super simple to,make and is perfect to bring to your,next party or gathering,this is one appetizer that's gonna,definitely leave you wanting more,so let's get started the ingredients,we're going to be using today,are 1 16 ounce can of refried beans 1,tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon of taco,seasoning,1 15 ounce can of diced tomatoes with,green chilies,2 10 ounce packages of guacamole you,could also use homemade,16 ounces of sour cream 2 cups of,cheddar cheese,2 roma tomatoes seeded in dice half a,cup of sliced black olives,and a third cup of chopped green onions,begin by mixing in a bowl refried beans,diced tomato with green chilies and taco,seasoning,make sure to drain the tomatoes before,you add them in,mix until well combined,spread the bean mixture onto the bottom,of a baking dish,my dish is 7 by 11 inches but you can,also use a 9 by 9 inch dish,next spoon the guacamole over the beans,and spread evenly,next spoon the sour cream over the,guacamole,it's easier to spread the sour cream,with a knife and you want to make sure,the guacamole is covered,this will prevent it from being exposed,to the air and getting discolored,especially if you want to make this the,day before,next sprinkle over the cheddar cheese i,like to use the fine cut for this dip,next sprinkle over the diced tomatoes,next sprinkle over the sliced black,olives,i usually use the canned ones feel free,to add more or less depending on your,liking,and lastly sprinkle over the chopped,green onions,you can serve this dip immediately or,you can refrigerate it and serve it the,next day,for the full written recipe i have,everything written in the description,below,oh i can't wait to dig into this this,dip is so delicious and refreshing,and perfect to bring to a potluck if you,don't feel like cooking,you saw all the work i did just chop up,some veggies and spread everything onto,a dish,and don't forget your tortilla chips,they are your vehicle for this tasty dip,so good well i hope you guys enjoyed,this video,please like subscribe and hit that bell,notification don't miss out on any of my,other simple and delicious recipes i,make cooking videos weekly,thanks for watching and see you next,time,you

welcome back to everyday eats with,michelle today we're going to be making,taco dip now whether you decide to serve,this up alongside some other snacks at,your football party or you just want to,go ahead and call this thing dinner you,can have it on the table in absolutely,no time let's get started first thing,you're going to need are equal parts of,softened cream cheese and sour cream now,if you're like me and you always forget,to take the cream cheese out of the,fridge ahead of time to let it come to,room temperature don't worry just pop it,in the microwave for 15 to 20 seconds,and you'll be good to go,now i've got eight ounces of cream,cheese so i'm gonna add in eight ounces,of sour cream,my container holds 16 ounces so i'm just,going to scoop out half the container i,don't feel a huge need to measure this,here,we'll stir it all together until it's,nice and creamy and combined and then,you're going to add in your favorite,taco seasoning about a quarter teaspoon,to a half teaspoon should be more than,enough and again we're going to stir,that up so those spices can get nicely,distributed throughout the cream cheese,then we're going to take a rimmed baking,sheet mine's 15 by 10 inches and we're,going to put our sour cream cream cheese,mixture right down on the pan and spread,it out with a silicone spatula until we,have one nice even smooth layer,you may need to turn your pan every now,and then to get it into all the corners,you're looking for about a quarter inch,thickness but don't get too crazy with,it's not that important as long as you,got a smooth layer you're good,no there's my charlie cat he's a bit of,a crackhead when it comes to cheeses,don't worry he didn't actually touch,anything so we're okay,once you've got it in that nice smooth,layer you can go ahead and pop that in,the fridge to let it set up a little bit,and move on to our ground beef,in a medium skillet over medium high,heat we're going to cook up half a pound,of ground beef just a half a pound i,know it doesn't sound like a lot but,trust me it's more than enough for this,recipe,next we'll season this with a little bit,of sea salt a little bit of freshly,cracked black pepper then you're going,to take your wooden spoon and you're,going to break up that beef into smaller,chunks also helps to distribute your,salt and your pepper throughout and then,we're going to add in some more of that,taco seasoning i usually just sprinkle,an even layer over the top of the meat,works out just fine don't have to bother,measuring not a big deal,we're going to give that a stir and then,we're going to add in our secret,ingredient a little bit of the pickle,juice from some pickled jalapenos it's,not going to add a ton of heat don't,worry but it will add a nice acidity,that's gonna brighten up the flavors of,this taco dip trust me it's fantastic,you gotta try it,we're gonna let that cook for a little,bit until all the pink has been cooked,out of our beef and then we're gonna go,back to our sour cream mixture,now apparently i forgot to hit record on,the pouring of the taco sauce part not a,big deal take your favorite taco sauce,pour some down over the sour cream get,it spread out into one nice thin layer,notice how you can still see the sour,cream cream cheese mixture through the,taco sauce,that's all you gotta do,once you've accomplished that we're,gonna add in our cheese i've got one cup,of finely shredded extra sharp cheddar,cheese yes i shredded it myself i don't,rely on the bag stuff for this fresher,is always better,and once you've got as much cheese as,you would like we're gonna add in our,ground beef i usually just break it up a,little bit with my hands as i add it,because sometimes i don't break it up,enough in the pan not a big deal,usually just me and chris eating it so,i'm not worried about wearing gloves but,if you're serving a bunch of people you,might want to put on a pair of gloves,so for those who thought a half a pound,of beef was not going to be enough to,cover this whole pan i think we may have,just proved you wrong on that,the final step is adding our shredded,lettuce,just a little bit you don't need to go,crazy here i usually go ahead and just,buy a bag of shredded lettuce at the,store instead of cutting up a whole head,of lettuce less is more and that's our,taco dip whether you're eating it as,part of other game day snacks or like we,do just as dinner grab your favorite,tortilla chip and just start scooping,if you like this video,hit that thumbs up please consider,subscribing if you haven't already,thanks for watching and we'll see you,next week,you

4 Simple Ways to Make Your Mexican Layer Dip 100X BETTER!

i wanted to make a mexican layer dip,that would blow,any store-bought version out of the,water so i figured out,four simple ways to build up the flavors,in those layers yet still keep it easy,on the cook,first up quite possibly the most,important layer,especially if you're asking my mother,the guacamole,in my house growing up we never used the,pre-packaged stuff,i promise you can taste a difference,between fresh avocado,and the stuff with the plastic wrap on,top what do you think it looks like it,came from the store,next up the sour cream layer instead of,just dumping that sour cream,into the dish and spreading it around,we're gonna look at that sour cream as a,blank,canvas and see just how much delicious,we can get,in that one layer onto the beans have,you ever scooped refried beans out of a,can,so we're just going to make one simple,swap to solve that problem,on to my favorite part the cheese i'm,going to show you a side-by-side,comparison,of pre-packaged shredded cheese versus,freshly grated cheddar cheese i promise,you will see the difference but most,importantly you'll definitely be able to,taste the difference,and of course this is a seven layer dip,so we'll have a lots of yummy goodies to,pile on the top but we'll get to that,later,for now you just need to know this is a,recipe,totally worthy of your time and your,taste buds,all right first layer up guacamole,to cut into an avocado just hold your,knife parallel to the cutting board and,twist,twist it open and you've got your two,little halves here,i like to just take my knife pop it,right into the center,and twist and now we'll just do the same,thing with avocado number two,just get the flesh out of the avocado i,am using a soup spoon,and just get it right into a small,little mixing bowl here this is,two ripe haas avocados,now we're gonna cut into one lime,and just add all of that juice right in,there,the whole lime add about three quarter,teaspoon,of salt grab a fork and get to mashing,if you wanted a really smooth layer of,guacamole,you could actually just add all of these,ingredients to a food processor,fitted with a blade attachment and let,it work,we're on to the sour cream layer and in,this bowl,i am stirring together three quarter cup,of sour cream and,one third cup of mayonnaise we're gonna,also add to this about a tablespoon of,rice wine vinegar as far as vinegars go,rice wine vinegar has,sort of like this mellow sweetness but a,really great,pop of acidity and it's going to be,really delicious in this dip,if you don't want to buy rice wine,vinegar you can totally just add the,juice of half of a lime and the next,thing we're going to do to add an,extra punch of savory to the sour cream,layer,taco seasoning give it a stir,and i'd say this is looking a whole lot,better than just plain jane sour cream,i've got,nothing against canned refried beans but,for this seven layer dip we're actually,going to just buy,canned bean dip it's gonna have a,creamier consistency,a little more of that tex-mex mexican,flavor built into it,and it's gonna be much more dippable now,we're gonna move it along to the cheese,layer,so just grab yourself a block of cheddar,and get to grating the texture of,freshly grated cheese is going to be,softer and creamier the flavor,is going to be sharper and more,pronounced,just about one and a quarter cup is all,you need,all right so all that prep work is just,about done,now let me show you the best way to,layer,a seven layer mexican dip start with,the heaviest or most dense layer first,so that is going to be our bean dip just,add it,right to the bottom of your dish,and spread it around all the way to the,edges,if you get a little overzealous and,you're spreading just come in with a,paper,towel and run it along the sides if,you're not using a clear dish you don't,have to worry about this but for an,extra pretty presentation,i like for all those layers to really,show up,and not run into one another and i clean,my spatula in between,every single use so that nothing gets,muddied looking in there,now we're going to add the guacamole,layer the next,heaviest element going down,layer number three the sour cream add it,right to the top,spread it to the edges,now for that freshly grated cheese layer,just sprinkle this all across the top,and i like to leave some of those,corners poking through,so that you can see that zesty sour,cream mix,underneath layers five six and seven,we're gonna have some sliced green onion,some chopped up tomato and some sliced,black olives,i'll start with the green onions just,gonna take the root off,and give them a nice thin slice,just move these off to the side for now,and we'll get into a,roma tomato and i cut it in half and now,i'm just going to slice right into this,now we're just going to top it off start,with your,tomatoes,then i'll add on a handful of black,olives,and last but not least green onions,right over the top,now here we have our homemade delicious,seven layer dip,and this is what you'd find at the

little,trifle you know dishes and make it look,cute,but you can use whatever dish you want,to use you can use a bowl casserole,thing,whatever you want to use okay so right,now i'm going ahead,and grounding this ground beef this is,two pounds of ground beef,she almost done but i still got,some seasons and uh stuff to put in i'm,gonna put some garlic powder,how y'all doing on this taco tuesday,i hope y'all doing good,putting some onion powder in this thing,okay we're gonna put some onions just,like a half of an onion put that in now,just let that cook like this,and yeah we're going to put some,guacamole in here,we're going to put some refried beans in,here,we're going to put uh what else we put,in this thing some salsa,some cheese girl you gonna see,you're gonna see we're gonna hook up,wait for the hooker up,and yes i'm gonna drain that grease off,i know y'all already looking yes i'm,gonna drain it,i'm gonna drain it,and i'm also gonna put my taco,well i'm gonna put my taco seasoning in,i'm gonna use one pack of taco seasoning,go ahead and put that out for now,bam,put that out for now,and also get you another taco pack of,season yeah did i say that right another,one taco girl let me see get you,one pack of taco seasoning,and we're gonna put that in our refried,beans and we're gonna put,uh some cream cheese in it sugar y'all,trying to mess me up,kinda mess me up girl,put some water in them,and you basically follow the directions,on the back of your taco season,well if you want to make your own taco,season that's fine too,whatever floats your boat girl,okay and i'm just gonna let this simmer,i'm gonna let this simmer y'all and uh,get all incorporated and stuff and i'm,gonna be right back and i'm gonna show,you how to put this thing together it's,gonna be real quick and easy i'm gonna,show you i'll be right back,okay y'all i'm back okay now what we're,gonna do we're gonna put this,cream cheese make sure it's room,temperature okay so you can work with it,good okay,put that out for now,and remember that taco seasoning i was,trying to say,you gotta put that taco seasoning out,put that out for now,and then we're just gonna mix it,together,see how easy it is to mix you can also,put it in the microwave for a few,seconds too,like if you forgot to take it out to let,it get you know soft,stir it,get up in there,you can put that elbow in there like,that,circles or whatever you want to call,them okay,now they're like she good let me see,make sure she good good okay,she good all right now,you're gonna take your dish mine is a,trifle,so hold on girl,hold on hold on,okay now we're going to put it in here,oh it smells good i love refried beans,oh y'all this is two cans of the 15,ounce,refried beans okay two cans,okay now,hold on girl kicking stuff on my hands,all right now we're going to smooth it,out,smooth it out,like that,okay y'all and next we're gonna put our,sour cream this is 16 ounces of sour,cream,put that out for now,okay,bam like that,smooth that out,now if you got to try for this you want,to try to get it to the edges,so you can see the layers,okay now,get your guac your clock,put that out for now,this is just about two cups of guac,just about two cups of guac girl,okay spread it out,try to get them layers to show,like so,okay y'all now we're gonna put in our,ground beef that we cooked okay,put that out for now,okay,put it on the edges,sorry y'all it knows i'm sorry i'm sorry,forgive me girl put on the edges,kind of fogging up a little bit because,it's hot,okay,and that's what one two three four,that's four of them right there,five we're gonna uh put in salsa,put in your sauce so you can make it or,you could buy from the stove you're,already made,and guess what we're gonna do you know i,didn't make it,you know i didn't make it girl quit,dripping i got it from stove,i got it from the stove,this is like two cups of salsa,two cups of salsa,just spread it out,top of that good old ground beef,just like that,okay y'all then you can do this any,order you want i'ma put down some cheese,some shredded cheese,like this,yes i am throwing some of it out of the,bowl girl yes i see you,i see a girl i'ma get it,i ain't gonna put it in a bowl y'all i,ain't gonna put it out,okay and then you can just put some,lettuce,because that's one two three four five,six,topping off with a little hello and welcome today i'm going to,show you how to make a mexican-american,casserole because friends if i put that,this is mexican somebody's going to be,like it's not mexican and in reality in,mexico you don't eat like this but here,in the states we do so i'm going to show,you how to spice up your casserole and,let me tell you your family's gonna ask,you for more you've always wanted me to,say this to you this is not our phrase,but take it away,for this recipe we're gonna be making,frijoles puertos and all that is it's,pork and beans so you're gonna take,porturiso ham bacon your choice of beans,you're also going to need some pickled,jalapenos and if you can't handle,jalapenos definitely get this so that,you can use the juice from this can,you're going to need your choice of,cheese and this is going to be honest,honestly just this alone is going to,amplify any meal,and for our ground beef layer we're,going to be using ground beef and we,have a wide selection of your basic,spices and for those of you that don't,know what to put in here i'm going to,talk about it once we start making it,for our pico de gallo i have chopped,tomatoes,cilantro onion serrano we're gonna,squeeze a little bit of lime juice and,that's gonna be to taste sprinkle your,desired amount of salt give that a,loving mix and now we're just gonna set,this dish to the side,we're also gonna need some sour cream or,crema fresca and what i'm gonna do is,i'm gonna combine both and it's just oh,my gosh it just tastes so much better,you're gonna need some avocado some,lettuce are you going to tell us how,much you paid for those,you guys don't want to know i got fancy,and bougie today,yeah i did okay it was a spa day at the,market,some corn tortillas and friends i paid,3.99 for all of these corn tortillas my,family is going to be super corny this,week and that's too and that's to offset,the cost of the papal sauce and avocados,yes,and friends let me tell you for this,recipe it doesn't matter if your,tortilla falls apart this is a casserole,that's exactly what we wanted to do in,our bellies,i remember when i can get bottle sauce,for for a dollar i'm going to tell you,how much i paid for this,don't show us i'm going to show you i,don't know but it was at our local,market it was a dollar 39 but i go to my,local market because i believe in,keeping mom and pop shops in business so,that they can take care of all their,beautiful family so if you guys want you,guys can add some bottle sauce to this,dish for those that were here yesterday,you saw what happened to my blender,somehow it's working again which i'm,happy because i don't have to deal with,shipping,so go ahead and add your beans and since,they are canned beans i did rinse the,beans and i'm using fresh water because,i don't need any gassy bears in my house,today so you added one can of beans and,then you filled up that can with water,yes ma'am okay and now we're gonna blend,until smooth,you've always wanted me to say this to,you this is not our face but take it,away,and boom done friends i didn't sneak,anything in here it's just that my,blender's a little stained from the,chili and it was so worth it,you mean business with that cuchara,and for those of you that got a spanky,with that i hope that you're healing,well and we're sorry we're sorry that,happened and remember parents hands are,not for hitting hands are not for,hitting i've been telling you guys this,for a long time we're going on five,years of telling you hands are not for,hitting,they're for making guacamole yes okay,what's your guys's favorite line that,has to do with guacamoles,the favorite line uh-huh in the movie um,look i like the one from the aquabots oh,really i thought you're gonna go with,the fool's russian one i do like that,one but since i always have the babies i,like the holy guacamole we got chips oh,that's a good one,and then well that goes along with the,whole burger ring but which one's your,favorite,um well now that you mentioned that one,i do like them because it reminds me of,the babies but i like are you offending,maria's guacamole from fool's russian,that's a good one,nothing goes to waste,you guys are gonna eat that,we're gonna eat it a day at the spa,sprinkle sprinkle guys,it's now called sprinkling add a little,bit of lime or citrus juice whatever you,have on hand,while i clean my area cloud's getting a,little bit of water for us,don't trust me to give you water because,i take the,best cup that you have in here it really,is the best cup you guys in your cabinet,i'm hey friends welcome back to my kitchen,and welcome to the recipe therapist so,today before we get started I just,wanted to give a big heartfelt thank you,to all my new subscribers and followers,this week it really touched my heart to,see so many of you comment doing this,past holiday and show me pictures of the,things that you made,I really feel blessed to be able to do,what I do here in my kitchen and I just,want to thank you for joining me each,week on this journey now I have a really,really good recipe for you today,another crowd-pleaser it's my seven,layer taco dip trifle it's so delicious,it's not that hard to make and I'm,excited to share with you so let's get,started let me show you what I put into,my taco trifle we're gonna start out,with one package of ground beef that,I've sauteed up in this skillet with,some onion some salt and pepper now my,secret ingredient is my chili lime,powder I got this at Trader Joe's if you,can't find it you can just use regular,taco seasoning it will work just as well,we have a sour cream our shredded,cheddar cheese and our a package,guacamole now this is about 2 cups of,guacamole and in this package here I'm,only gonna use one of these which is one,cup and I'm going to take two avocados,and mash them and mix it all together I,just find that the flavor is so much,better and it's so more fresh tasting,now to preserve the guacamole I am gonna,be adding some lemon juice just so it,doesn't you know oxidize now over here I,have my two cans of refried beans with,one package of taco seasoning and block,cream cheese I made my tomato salsa,yesterday which is about probably about,2 cups and I drained most of the juice,out because we don't want it to spoil,the look of our trifle now my secret,ingredient in my tomato sauce,is I add about a teaspoon or so a pepper,jelly,it's a sweet jelly with that hint of,like jalapeno spice in it I got this at,Trader Joe's you can find this like,anywhere a lot of local girls carry it,today,but it is an option but it really really,elevates the flavor of the salsa now for,the top of our trifle we're going to be,using some sliced black olives some more,cheese and salsa tomato salsa some,lettuce and some cilantro,now extra special crunch for the top I'm,gonna be using either do Eidos you can,buy or I just picked up from Trader,Joe's some nacho cheese tortilla chips,all right so let's start out with the,guacamole part of this recipe so what,I've done is I've taken these two,avocados and I mashed them up into this,bowl what I'm gonna do at this point is,just add a pinch of salt just for a,little extra flavor okay,and I also like a little garlic powder,so I'm just going to add a little right,on the top okay mix that in and like I,said before I'm gonna add like I don't,know a little like half a teaspoon of,lemon juice just to preserve this fresh,guacamole because it was you know turned,by the time we're gonna eat it tonight I,want it to stay fresh and now I'm gonna,take one package of my pre-made,guacamole and I'm just gonna get it all,out and I'm gonna put it all in here and,we're gonna mix the two together and,there's enough you know vinegar and,lemon and spice in here to make it you,know to keep it preserved for next you,know two hours and I'm gonna mix this,all together and you're gonna see it's,gonna come together really creamy and,nice and that's our bottom all right so,now let me show you,we do the refried being part of the,recipe so what I've done is I've taken,the two cans of refried beans and I,place them into this bowl what I've done,is I've taken the black cream cheese and,I put it in the microwave for about,depending on how hot your microwave is,it could be between 20 to 40 seconds to,get it to be soft so we're not wrestling,with it so I'm going to add my softened,cream cheese do this and then I'm going,to add my whole package of taco,seasoning okay and I'm going to begin to,mix this all together and it's
