welcome to cost covered my name is greg,and today we're looking at the paisley,farm,for bean salad,all right so here we are paisley farms,for bean salad uh first thing you might,be interested to know is that this is,actually,made by the family of country music,superstar brad paisley,that's actually not true i just made,that up but it is a new product here at,costco and,i'm pretty excited to try it if you're,curious the types of beans included here,are green beans kidney beans garbanzo,beans and wax beans,also looks like there are some onions in,here as well,so you can get a,little better look at that,so let's pop this bad boy open,and see what we got,everybody wants to be the pickle jar,hero you know,i'm just kidding,here we go,uh,let's spoon ourselves some,beans into a bowl you know how it is,all right,a couple beans here and grab a couple,more,all right and get a look at that,there's our beans,for bean salad all right let's give it a,try here,okay,right off the bat,i guess i guess it makes sense these are,like pickled,uh,in a sense but uh,man the sweetness,hits you right in the face there,mmm,really sweet beans,was not i probably should have been,expecting it i guess since these are,like pickled but,all right so yeah we're getting,per serving,20,of our,allotted sugar,for the day which,you know you hate to burn it,burn your allotment on,burn it all up on vegetables you know we,got desserts and all kinds of other,goodies to eat so,the fact that these are really high in,sugars,a little disappointing the taste is,they're uh,they're sweet,so,compared to just like a you know canned,beans that you could just heat up in the,pot i think i'd prefer those they're a,little,more neutral,more mild,these are,are very sweet,um,i will say one thing i could see as,being a nice benefit here though is,you can just slap the,cap back on here throw it in the,refrigerator,and on nights when you're you know,coming home from work,you don't have a lot of time to mess,around with cooking dinner stuff like,that but you still want to get your,allotment of,vegetables for the day,you know you you rip off a chunk of uh,breast meat from that rotisserie chicken,you got earlier in the week,spoon out a couple of these,throw these on the plate and,quick meal you know it's not gonna be,anything special not gonna be anything,you write home about but,it'll do in a pinch if you need to fill,your,your vegetable quota for the day but,again,probably not my,my first pick for,for beans for vegetables,that sweetness is just a little bit much,for me,all right so score,it does have the utility of being,convenient i will say that,but pace-wise,i will say also the texture is good on,them they're not like mushy or anything,like that,so that's another plus but that's,sweetness a little bit much so,score,i'm gonna go,with a,2.5,2.5 on the beans,that's the score we'll see you next time

sometimes when you have,a meat dish that doesn't have a lot of,flavor,like with pork or chicken unless you,serve some kind of a,vegetable with it that has lots of,flavor it kind of seems like your meal,is a little bland,so today i'm going to show you how i do,a three bean salad,you can use several different kinds of,beans if you want to,you can use a white bean in it you can,use,a garbanzo bean if you want to or a,black bean,but i have chosen today the dark red,kidney beans,and i have drained those well,a yellow wax bean and these are kind of,hard to find sometimes so,that's why you can substitute different,beans for that,and a green bean,i'm just going to put them into my bowl,to that i'm going to add a,half of a sweet green pepper that i've,chopped,and i try to chop my pepper and the,onion about the same size,that way you're getting a little equal,there,and about a half a cup of red sweet,pepper,or i mean red sweet onions,and i can tell you this onion was not,all that sweet,made you cry just trying to get,that cut up now if you have a fruit jar,a fruit jar works great for this but i,don't i'm,just going to mix it together in a bowl,and it is,1 4 cup of apple cider vinegar,2 tablespoonfuls of granulated sugar,and i'm gonna mix that together with my,little whisk,let that sugar dissolve just a little,bit,and it'll turn from a cloudy color to,clear,and to that i'm going to add two,tablespoonfuls of,you can use any kind of a good salad oil,i like,olive oil so i'm going to put olive oil,in mine,two tablespoonfuls,olive oil does not change the taste,of what you're putting it in and i like,that,and it holds together well,i'm going to add to that i have minced,garlic here and i'm going to put one,nice little tablespoon full of that in,there,now if you want to you can use one,garlic clove and mint set up yourself,but i had the,garlic in oil so i'm going to use it,one half teaspoon of celery seeds and,one half teaspoon,full of your ground dry mustard,and just mix that up really good,this is such an easy little vinaigrette,to pour over the beans,you can use it to pour over different,kinds of vegetables,and i'm going to pour that over my green,beans,and then i'm going to toss so that it,kind of gets even,on those green beans and all of the,other beans and onions and stuff that's,in there,you want to mix them up so that they,look pretty in the bowl,and that's pretty good i'm going to put,my lid,on this,and i will set this in the refrigerator,and let this,chill while i fix the rest of my meal,this morning,and that should be all about an hour,hour and a half,it kind of lets all of the flavors in,the stub,stuff absorb up into the vegetable,okay our bean salad has been in the,refrigerator for at least one hour,while we prepared the rest of our meal,i'm gonna stir that up just a little bit,to get everything with the vinegar,dressing on the bottom,give it that little added flavor,and we're ready

yo what's going on guys have you ever,been invited to a backyard barbecue or a,party and you're instantly thinking like,what the heck am i supposed to bring,i mean seriously you don't want to be,that guy that's bringing the uh boring,baked beans or another pasta salad again,right so,i actually have the perfect recipe for,you it's my zesty three bean salad it's,a really popular one actually i've had,this on the website for a long time and,people absolutely love it and seriously,if you bring this to the next gathering,you will be the party rock star so hey,let me show you how to make it,so the key to the vast majority of my,recipes are the chili peppers of course,and in this particular case,we're starting with some bell peppers,bell peppers are huge in flavor they got,no heat though but with this recipe i,love to do a combination of,roasted and fresh peppers roasted for,that delicious roasted pepper flavor but,also fresh for the crunch factor so you,can use only fresh or only roasted but i,just love the combination for both,flavor and texture so in this case i've,got a couple of bell peppers here i've,got uh this this mutated beast of a,green bell pepper look at how huge it is,and i don't know what happened to my,little little red guy but uh but they're,gonna be amazing anyway so i'm gonna go,ahead and slice these in half,like so,this guy looks kind of surprised,core them out just remove the,kind of the innards here and the seeds,all the white pithy innards,set it onto a baking sheet,like so,screaming pepper,all right pop this out here,and,onto a baking sheet so there are,different ways that you can roast,peppers and i'll leave a link to how to,roast peppers but in this particular,case i'm just going to broil them it,makes a little bit easier,so i can concentrate on doing other,things while these are roasting so all,right let me pop these into the broiler,all right i got my peppers roasted here,it only took a few minutes in the,broiler and you can see how the skins,have all charred and puffed up,so i'm going to let them cool a little,bit then we can peel it right off and,it's super easy but if you need to you,can steam these to loosen the skins even,more you can add them to like a bowl and,cover them or a baggie or even like,maybe put a little towel or something,over the top of it and it'll uh kind of,help steam,that that hot steam will loosen the,skins but all right let me cool these a,little bit we're gonna peel and get,chopping,all right i got my peppers all chopped,up and i got all my my chopping station,all done here so let's make the bulk of,this bean salad recipe so here are my,mixed,roasted and fresh bell peppers,it's gonna get everything into a large,bowl,like so,all right and i'm also gonna add a,jalapeno pepper this is optional really,we're gonna add some zing and heat a,little bit later but i like to add,jalapeno for that extra fresh pop of,spiciness,and i just love jalapenos very much so,and now this is a three bean salad so,therefore we will have three different,types of beans so here i have some light,red kidney beans,it's a 15 ounce can,that are,rinsed and drained,and i have a can of black beans,and i have a can of garbanzo beans or,chickpeas,rinsed and drained,three beans of course you can use other,beans but these are my favorite,combination for this particular recipe,and i have a small red onion chopped and,it's about a cup or so,and you can easily add a little bit more,if you want to or less,but red onions got a beautiful crunch,and,love it,and i have about three good sized cloves,of garlic that i minced,sometimes i put the garlic in the,vinaigrette that comes later but i'm,just gonna add it right here today,and i have about a quarter cup of,chopped cilantro,fresh chopped cilantro,here we go,and add a little bit of salt and pepper,salt and pepper is pretty much always to,your personal taste,i of course love a lot of black pepper,so just go ahead and mix this together,all right this is just the base this is,the core of our recipe,you know the real reason why this recipe,works so well and why it's such a great,recipe is the combination of the three,different beans along with the roasted,and fresh peppers they're just a great,combination with the garlic the jalapeno,everything comes together perfectly just,melds together so wonderfully such a big,crowd pleaser everybody loves it,but the real secret here is the,vinaigrette that's where a lot of the,extra zing and flavor is going to come,from so let me show you how to make the,vinaigrette,so to make the vinaigrette it's very,simple,here i have a quarter cup of a good,quality olive oil,and a quarter cup of red wine vinegar,and you can use other vinegars but i,love the combination of uh of red wine,vinegar vinegar with oil with this,recipe it's delicious,and a couple tablespoons of fresh lemon,juice,and here's an optional ingredient it's,not optional to me but,it's some spicy chili flakes i got about,a teaspoon,and lastly my friends hot sauce so,

Hello my lovely foodies, welcome back to Kanak's Kitchen,Today I will show you how to make healthy Chicken Salad,This is a cool and refreshing salad to prepare at home,This is very filling and healthy and at the same time it is,tasty also with the combination of tendered chicken,vegetables, perfect dressing with some herbs in it,This is great for lunch or even for suppers,This satisfies the taste buds with all the nutrition intact,So let's see what you need for this,Ingredients,First marinate the chicken breast with some salt,Pepper, ginger garlic, little olive oil,vinegar, dried thyme, you can also use fresh thyme,Red chilly flakes, let it marinate and coat on all sides,Spread out the marinate evenly,Let it rest for around 15-20 mins,Start preparing the dressing for the salad,In a large bowl, add the mayonaise,Add the yogurt, I am using the thick yogurt.,The combination of both really gives a nice and creamy,texture to the salad. Next add the lime juice,Olive oil, mustard sauce, Worcestershire sauce,Fresh cilantro and mix well,Mix little salt as well, make a thick yet flowing consistency,Put it in the fridge to chill,In a bowl, mix in the onions, lettuce and tomatoes,You can use other vegetables of our choice as well,Now heat olive oil in a non stick pan,Place the chicken breast onto it.,Let it cook on each side for 2-3 mins,Flip it to the other side and check if it done,Pork a knife into the chicken to make sure it is cooked,Once done and if it gets good golden brown color,Remove it onto a plate and let it cool down a bit.,Cut it into strips,Now comes in the assemblig part,Mix the vegetables, chicken strips,into the dressing and give it a good mix to coat well,You can also check for salt over here.,Also add in the celery,Add in the walnuts, almonds over here,Add the croutons and mix well.,Add in the Parmesan cheese,Now the healthy and bautiful chicken salad,is ready to plate.,Here I cooked the chicken first, but if you want,you can use any left over chicken,For veg, you can use bell beppers, mushrooms as well,Try this recipe and let me know your feedback.,Do give it a thumbsup, subscribe to the channel,You can get regular updates from my channel,every Tue and Fri,I will see you next time Bye Bye

Today on The Stay At Home Chef,I'm showing you how to make Mediterranean Chickpea Salad.,This simple healthy salad is full of Mediterranean flavors and it's super easy to customize to your own personal taste preferences.,Feel free to leave out or add in any ingredients to mix things up and make this recipe your own. ,To start you'll need 30 ounces of canned chickpeas, which are also known as garbanzo beans.,These are generally sold in 15 ounce cans,,so you'll need 2 cans.,Then give them a quick rinse,,then we'll pour these all into a large mixing bowl. ,Then it's time to cut up all of our vegetables.,You'll need either 1 English cucumber, which it has a thinner skin,,or 2 regular cucumbers.,If you're using regular, I recommend you peel them a little bit,,and by a little bit,,I mean peel it so that there's those little stripes that you often see on sliced cucumbers.,To dice a cucumber you'll want to start by slicing it in half lengthwise,,flip each half over,,and slice them in half lengthwise again.,Then you should be able to chop them into little bite-sized pieces.,Then we'll add these in with our chickpeas.,Then we need to halve some cherry or grape tomatoes,,you can cut them in half lengthwise or down the middle,,and if they're large you may want to quarter them.,What you really want is just to make sure that everything is bite sized.,Of course we'll add these into our mixing bowl as well.,Then we'll go ahead and dice up a bell pepper,,I'm using green, but really you could use any color for this.,With the bell pepper I like to do a little smaller than bite sized though,,just so you get that little bit of crunch spread throughout the salad.,It is fun to use like a yellow or an orange bell pepper just for the mix up of color in the salad.,Now red onions are best for serving raw in a salad,,and you can either slice these very thinly or dice them up, whichever you prefer.,You want to use 1 small red onion or half of a larger one.,Next up are our fresh herbs.,Today I'm using a combination of fresh mint and fresh basil,,but feel free to play around with things,,and you can always substitute in fresh parsley.,I'm gonna mince up the mint first,,and you want leaves only for this,,so pull out any stems,,and just mince it up.,You'll need 2 tablespoons total.,I just love the fresh, cool flavors that the fresh mint brings.,With the basil, same thing.,It's leaves only,,and you'll need about 2 tablespoons total.,You just want to give that a fine mince.,Basil and mint go really well together.,We're also going to add in 1/2 cup of sliced kalamata olives,,and 1/2 cup of crumbled feta.,That's it for our salad ingredients.,Now we can move on to the dressing.,While you still have your cutting board and knife out,,slice a lemon in half cuz you're gonna need some freshly squeezed lemon juice.,Give mine a squeeze here,,you need about 2 tablespoons total,,and depending on the juiciness of your lemon and its size,,it'll probably be about 1 small one or maybe 1/2 of a large one.,We'll go ahead and pour that lemon juice into a little mixing bowl where we're going to make the rest of our dressing.,Next add in 1-2 tablespoons of honey,,and if you microwave it for about 10 seconds first it mixes in a lot easier.,You'll also need 3 tablespoons of good quality extra virgin olive oil,,about 2 tablespoons of white wine vinegar, or you can use red,,then last you'll add in 1/4 teaspoon of salt and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper,,and whisk this together.,You can always add more salt and pepper to taste.,Just remember you already have some salty items in the salad with the feta and the olives,,so what you'll want to do is make the dressing as is,,and then add more salt and pepper to taste.,All that's left to do is drizzle this over the salad and toss this altogether.,Course you can just serve this up in the mixing bowl,,but I'm gonna transfer mine to a nice, pretty bowl for serving.,This will stay good in the fridge for several days,,so it's great to make a big batch of this at the start of the week and enjoy it for meals the rest of the week.,Thanks for watching.,You can find the full written recipe in the video description.,Be sure to subscribe, like, and follow, and check out the rest of my videos,,where you can find hundreds of restaurant quality recipes,you can easily make at home.,See you later.

hi and welcome to uncle Scott's kitchen,today I'm going to show you how to make,the world's best three bean salad with,four beans it's one being better it's a,delicious bean salad it uses sugar and,apple cider vinegar and the marinade,giving a good balance between sweet and,acidic flavors it's got a nice texture,it's a good-looking salad lots of color,and as a bonus it's very easy to make,with ingredients you can find at your,local supermarket Costco or Sam's let's,get started we'll start with the,ingredients now the ingredients from,recipe are also listed in the,description of this video so don't worry,about writing these down if you don't,want to I use two cans of yellow wax,beans one can of cut green beans,one can of dark red kidney beans and the,fourth being the one that really levels,this recipe up a can of garbanzo beans,now for the fresh ingredients I use 1,green bell pepper 1 slicing cucumber and,1 white onion I've gone with mutant GMO,Supermarket veggies here for the,marinade you need 2/3 of a cup of oil 1,in 1/3 cups of apple cider vinegar,one in 1/2 cups of white sugar 2,teaspoons of table salt and 1 teaspoon,of ground black pepper and for the,equipment nothing really fancy here I,like to use a glass bowl I don't use a,metal bowl for this just because of the,acidity and the vinegar I don't want any,metallic taste coming into the salad but,you can use a plastic bowl bonus points,if you have a glass bowl with a fitting,lid if not plastic wrap works just fine,and then just a few standard kitchen,items like measuring cups and spoons a,cutting board a good knife a strainer a,peeler and a can opener making the salad,open your cans drain and add the wax,beans and green beans to your bowl,drain and rinse the kidney and garbanzo,chickies and add those,vinegar,sugar pepper salt,good stir next we'll chop and add the,veggies let's start by slicing the,cucumber thin or thick slices your,choice if you want to level up take your,peeler and remove a strip of peel every,so often,then when you slice your cucumber you,get these neat little pinwheel effects,remember nice presentation makes your,food taste better I use about half of a,cucumber but add more or less to your,liking for the bell pepper I'm a little,wasteful and don't really use the top or,the bottom remove the top and bottom,then the ribs sounds a little painful,and seeds then slice them up into little,squares,finally the onion we want a bunch of,little onion rings here so cut thin,slices then pop out the little rings now,small to medium sized rings work best,bigger or fine too but just note that,they don't fit quite so easily on a fork,so your guests will have to cut them,whereas all the other ingredients are,easily scoopable I think that's what,they call a first world problem so ingo,the rings give it another stir on goes,the lid and then into a fridge for at,least three hours and there you have it,a beautiful colorful delicious easy to,make three bean salad with four beans I,think it's the best in the world but why,don't you make it give it a try and see,what you think if you come up with some,ways to improve it why don't you post,those in the comments below and then the,recipe will get even better if you,enjoyed this recipe video please,subscribe to the old channel here at,Uncle Scott's kitchen if you didn't,enjoy it please subscribe anyway do your,good deed for the day thank you for,watching and we'll see you again next
