hey lovelies beans beans they don't call,them the magic fruit for nothing,they're loaded with fiber and protein,and nutrients and of course there are,endless ways to prepare them today I,want to show you three really simple but,satisfying bean salad ideas that can all,be made during your Sunday meal prep and,then enjoy throughout the week the best,part is they all taste absolutely,incredible we're going to get started,today with this really easy but,delicious fresh three bean salad and as,with most salads this one starts with,our dressing so to make my dressing I am,keeping things really really simple I've,got a little splash of avocado oil,headed into a bowl to that I'm going to,add some apple cider vinegar and I'm,also going to be adding a teaspoon or,two of Dijon mustard of course Dijon,mustard is absolutely flavor packed so,it's going to be perfect in this,dressing I'll hit that with a little,salt and a little pepper give it a whisk,and then this dressing is already it to,be poured over this amazing salad now,that our dressing is prepared it is time,to bring our salad together so this one,features a three delicious beans I am,starting with some chickpeas I'm using,canned beans here because they're super,convenient these have already been,rinsed and drained to that I'm going to,add some red kidney beans as well as,some cannellini beans otherwise known as,white kidney beans now I wanted to add,some nice crunch and flavor here so I've,got a heaping helping of chopped celery,and then I've got some red onion as you,can see I have finely diced my red onion,you don't want a big chunk of red onion,just when it's sort of almost like,confetti through your salad my final,ingredient is going to be a big helping,of freshly chopped parsley we could,probably use some basil in this recipe,that would work nicely as well and then,I am just going to pour over all of that,amazing dressing,I'm gonna hit this up liberally with,another good pinch of salt and pepper,give it a stir and oh my gosh guys this,is something you can feel really good,about eating what I love about it being,salad like this is you can make it,during your Sunday meal prep pop it into,the refrigerator,and it just gets better the longer it,hangs out in that yummy dressing this,salad can be enjoyed just as is as a,hearty lunch or you can use it as a side,dish for a yummy dinner my next,delicious salad is this amazing Asian,style being salad it's got some crisp,green beans as well as a beautiful,edamame which I love these days you guys,know I use at a moment quite a bit on,the channel it's one of my favorite,types the beans now I'm going to get,started by making a really really,flavorful dressing for this salad,because of course the secret to a great,salad is often in the dressing and that,is definitely the case with this one I,am starting with a little bit of oil in,my bowl this is just some flavorless,canola oil you could use vegetable with,here as well to that I'm going to add,some rice vinegar for a bit of Tang and,tartness a little bit of soy sauce for,some savory flavor as well as some honey,for a bit of sweetness we've got some,nice balance happening here then I have,got some ginger going into my bowl as,well,and for just a touch of heat I've got,some sriracha you want to skip the,sriracha in this recipe of course you're,welcome to but you guys know how much I,like to eat Oh,give this all a quick whisk and our,dressing is all set it's time to get our,greens happening once your dressing is,complete it's just a matter of mixing up,your greens I love this recipe because,it's got tons of great texture and,crunch starting with these green beans,I've lightly steamed them but left them,with just a little bit of a crisp bite,because I want there to be great texture,in this salad to that I'm also going to,be adding some mini cucumbers that I've,thinly sliced and I'm going to be adding,a big helping of shelled edamame or soy,beans you might not know this but not,only are these being packed with fiber,but they also have a ton of protein as,well I'm going to shake in a good,sprinkle of sesame seeds here I'll mix,this all together and come on guys isn't,that a lot of green,goodness in a single ball I like,dressing the salad just before serving,it and then topping it with a few more,sesame seeds and some red pepper flakes,for good measure for our final bean,salad today we are going south western,style with a dish that is affectionately,known as cowboy caviar,the reason they call this dish cowboy,caviar is because all of the ingredients,are chopped into really small pieces so,it's sort of reminiscent of caviar what,I really love about the salad is that it,can be eaten all on its own or enjoyed,as a salsa with some (laughs),for the interruption.,(laughs),And now moving on,,let's do the recipe. - Okay.,- All right, so this is from "Bobby Deen's Everyday Eats",,and the common theme here,,is that everything's under 350 calories,and they're 30 minutes or less.,- Yes. - And they're all,really simple recipes,,not necessarily-- - Yeah, it's hard to believe,that every one of them is under 350 calories.,- I worked hard to put these books out.,This is not necessarily five ingredients or less,,but it's pretty simple, if you look here you see--,- Where you have this stuff in your pantry or your fridge.,So we're gonna start with a red wine vinegar, right?,A Sherry vinegar.,So in your book you said,,that's gonna give you a double punch.,- Shallots, thinly sliced.,- (indistinct) is shallots,,I was thinking it was garlic.,- I'm sorry, garlic and shallots,,this is the shallot, that's the garlic.,- Okay. - Sorry.,- That looks like a purple onion to me.,- Well it's not, it's a shallot.,- Okay. SIMPLE VEGAN BEAN SALAD RECIPE

welcome to the yes to live show the,channel for healthy and delicious vegan,fitness recipes,my name is samuel and today we're,preparing an italian inspired,bean salad super simple quick and easy,and very delicious if you're new to the,channel make sure to subscribe to get,new videos every week,if you're in a time when your week is,very busy where you have a lot of work,to catch up or you have to pick up your,kids after school,often you don't have time to cook and,that's when i like to prepare quick and,easy salads to taste,great and the way to add protein in this,case,is through beans now i like to always,have some beans at home,and i like to combine beans so in this,case i have white beans,and kidney beans and if you have them in,the cans,at home you can keep them for several,weeks or months and it's no problem,at all you can also use black beans,chickpeas or whatever you have at hand,but i just want to show you how great it,tastes when you combine at least two,different sources of beans,and then mix it together with vegetables,and a nice dressing now for the first,step super easy,i take my beans and i add them to the,mixing bowl first the white beans,as well as the kidney beans and now when,you eat it,first of all it has a nice color,contrast right i can show you right now,so it looks more delicious for the eye,but also the beans have very different,flavor and it makes the whole,dish more interesting into that i add,some chopped tomatoes,and i like to have them rather small the,same goes for cucumbers so i like to,chop small squares,so as you can see this is very quick and,the chopping took maybe like five,minutes now to make the sauce i first,chopped a little bit of garlic because i,want to leave it in the sauce,to give some of the flavor it makes it,more interesting overall,and then into that i'm gonna add some,olive oil,you can use as much as you want i would,go for around one tablespoon,maybe max two and now the trick is to,add the right,kind of vinegar with that and actually,like to combine,two or three different types of vinegar,it's called layering the acids because,that makes the flavor profile,way more interesting so depending on,what you have at hand i right now have,apple cider vinegar,rice vinegar and lemon you could also,use,balsamic vinegar white vinegar whatever,you have in your kitchen,and i'm gonna add some apple cider,vinegar for now,now be aware that different types of,vinegar are more or less acidic so apple,cider vinegar for instance is more on,the acidic side,whereas the white vinegar or the,balsamic vinegar usually tend to be more,on the sweeter side,so don't replace them like one by one,and then to add that i add a little bit,of,rice vinegar i actually like it a lot,because it has a very,clear almost neutral flavor and lastly,i'm gonna add a little bit of,lemon juice so first squeeze it a little,bit,so the juice is really easier then cut,it in half,and then take a fork and drizzle in some,of that,lemon juice but don't go all the way,with the lemon juice you have to taste,it and then adjust it to your,preferences now we had a video on flavor,hacks and how you can make your food,taste,better and one of the things i mentioned,is soy sauce because it brings out umami,and saltiness and i,like to add it to my dressings so i,would advise you to try out the same,and a little bit of sweetness as well so,we add a pinch of sugar,you can leave that out of course if you,want but it will have an impact on the,flavor,now stir it and then test it for,yourself,for me it's nice like that i like it,when it's a bit on the acidic side,but if you want it less acidic use less,vinegar,or add a little bit more olive oil now,all you got to do is you pour,that dressing over the salad we use a,bit of salt,to season it as well as some pepper,and then lastly i like to take some,basil leaves,and just rip them apart by hand add them,in there,and that brings out this,nice aroma of basil it's just,something else okay go for as much as,you like,i think after that i'm good yes,now all you gotta do is miss everything,and you're ready to go this probably,takes in total like 10 minutes,with the two cans of beans inside you,have somewhere between 20 and 30 grams,of protein so that's also nice,it's a good source of fiber it has,vitamins so what more do you want,and because comes in,you know you want to get it right,so one of the things i would share with,them and and they would say i'm doing,everything right i've already cut the,eggs i've already cut back on cheese,i've already i only have bacon once a,week i'm already doing everything i can,and i go well what have you been adding,to your diet and they're like,adding i go well what about beans have,you been adding hello everyone today i'm going to be,sharing with you six healthy 300 calorie,meals,for those who are counting their,calories so let's just jump right into,it,the first recipe i'm sharing with you is,avocado wrap with cucumbers,we're going to start by getting a large,bowl and adding in two tablespoons of,plain greek yogurt,i'm then going to add in three,tablespoons of pesto,i'm then going to take one large english,cucumber and just,dice it take your time to do it and then,get some fresh dill and just chop,it as nicely as you can so we have one,tablespoon of it which we're going to,add to the bowl,now give it a good stir and combine all,the ingredients so that we have,what to fill our wraps with then you're,going to want to take five,weight watcher tortillas i'm using them,because they're lowest in calorie,divide around 2 cups of mixed leaf salad,on each tortilla,and top it up with our pesto cucumber,mixture finally,we want to take one small avocado peel,it and then reseed it,and obviously just slice it we're going,to cover all the ingredients with,avocado slices and a little bit,of salt make sure that all filling,ingredients are placed on one side of,tortilla so that we can easily,roll it up then just roll it up cut it,in half and serve it each tortilla wrap,is around 244 calories,it's fresh crisp fuss-free bright and a,herby meal you can easily make,the next recipe is herb crusted salmon,with garlic and tomatoes,we're going to start by getting a sheet,pan with parchment paper on we want to,pour 5 cups of cherry tomatoes on one,side of it,then i'm going to sprinkle it with some,salt black pepper,and drizzle it with 2 tablespoons of,balsamic vinegar,then we're going to take a small bowl,and get 8 garlic cloves,i'm going to press them with a knife to,make sure they get peeled and then i'm,going to just press them in into the,bowl with a garlic press,i'm then going to take some fresh,parsleys and just finely chop them take,your time doing that,you want to have around half a cup of,them and then get around half a cup of,fresh basil and chop it as well as you,can,we're going to add the herbs into the,bowl and top them up with one tablespoon,of olive oil you're going to want to,combine these ingredients as well as you,can so that they form this nice,rub finally we're going to take four,salmon fillets with skin on,and we're going to place them on the,other side of sheet pan sprinkle them,with a little bit of salt and black,pepper,and then we're going to rub the heart,mixture on top of them you're going to,want to pop the sheet pan,into the corn,i'm using canned corn but make sure it's,drained,then we're going to take one cup of,cherry tomatoes and half,each of them we're going to add them,into the bowl then get one small red,onion,peel I'm going to make a pasta,and being with vegetables the pasta is a,card and by eating this cold you will,lose weight all you have to do is throw,a little googling on resistant starch,it's something I came across then I go,wow this is great not only its resistant,starch that means corn eaten cold now,won't give you that many calories rights,so well me this is the way I'm gonna,start eating the only item and I show,you how to cut is the plum tomato,because the plum tomato has a thicker,skin and that's the only part you want,so you're going to take out the inside,do that with a spoon and I'm not gonna,waste it I'm going to eat it with,something anyway you just take out all,the seeds and now look how much meat,there is to dice up for the salad even,though a a nice beefsteak tomato was,delicious the heart of the beefsteak,tomato is what makes it not the skin so,that's why I'm using the skin I'll show,you all the other ingredients and then,we'll just put this together and,guarantee you're going to lose weight by,eating this but the only way to eat the,starches is cold and there's a process,when they enter the body what happens,look up resistance starch learn correct time harvested and you never,know how long fresh produce sits around,before you bring it home I buy fresh,there's nothing wrong with using frozen,of course if you're making a crew to,take you would not want to use frozen,cauliflower or broccoli so I'm wasting,the film now like I said I'm gonna pour,this pasta right on top of the beans and,there's the tomatoes now what I do with,the tomatoes I made some small dice and,I made some julienne so you could see,how it works in the salad we'll be back,in a few minutes to finish this well I,made an error in telling you that I was,going to pour the pasta over the beans,in the column that that doesn't make,sense at all the beans are already,cooled down but what I'm gonna do is,going to add all of the ingredients to,the beans and allow the pasta to be,strained and I'll toss it while it's,still hot so it doesn't stick together,and then I'll add it to this mix now the,mix if I find that some of the items the,amounts are incorrect I will adjust it,and you won't see the incorrect amounts,just remember you know this recipe I,never made before,like Walmart recipes they do them on the,fly most of the time I guess work is,pretty good and other times it's not so,my adjustments are done in the,description right under the video that,shows you the amounts of everything so,people don't have to,send me a complaint that where were the,ingredients they have to just don't be,in such a rush everybody in New York is,in a rush both time,that's just how light they slow down a,little and you do better and somebody,complained that I talk slow,well sometimes you talk slow to get the,pink the point across you want to listen,to some videos where people just write,along anyway this is all set and this is,going to be a nice salad healthy for,weight loss thank you,I forgot to mention also at the very end,which is just about now I put in the,frozen corn,just to heat up the corn,I don't really cook frozen vegetables,because once you throw them out just,take a bite and you'll see Wow well,that's what happens from there frozen,that's good enough now I'm going to,drain this I'll be done in a few minutes,so the pasta the only
