Baby Formula Shortage? Mom's Can't Find Baby Formula? Fix This NOW!!!

good morning everyone this is  tony from her homestead skills  ,well first i want to show off my lovely flowers  that were brought to me by my lovely daughter  ,yesterday and we spent a few minutes together  which to me was more uh of value than the  ,flowers the flowers are lovely but the time i  get to spend with them is even more precious  ,and that just makes me think today about how  angry i am at some of the news that i've heard  ,lately and i'm containing myself trying not  to get too terribly upset it doesn't affect me  ,personally but it affects me personally i'm  a mother so it bothers me and that is the, shortage of baby formula i'm  horrified i'm actually horrified  ,to think that there is a shortage of baby formula, yes the old people are vulnerable but there is  none more vulnerable than a child a baby and  ,unfortunately, they can't substitute one food for another as  an adult you're short of one food there's always  ,something else you can eat here you don't  have any bread you can eat beans you don't  ,have meat you could eat rice there is always  something you can substitute but for a newborn  ,that's almost impossible  and i do understand that yes,you can breastfeed and you don't need to rely  on the industry to provide you with product  ,unfortunately not everyone can breastfeed i've  seen a new mother cry because she couldn't,and that's painful to see she eventually worked  at it and was able to breastfeed but it took  ,a tremendous amount of effort and some  natural herbs i understand that she took  ,to help i don't know what specifically  but she took something to help that along  ,during the time that she was  breastfeeding but some can't,myself i come from the times  where with my first children um  ,breastfeeding was frowned upon and you  were encouraged to use baby formula  ,10 years later when i had my last child i knew  better and she was breastfed and i had no issues  ,but the big issue for new mothers today too  is once you turn off that font there's no  ,turning it back on there's no saying okay i  can't get formula so i'm going to breastfeed  ,once you dry up you dry up and you have no choice  and that child still needs to eat so yes i'm angry  ,i've done just the tiniest little bit  of research and i understand that most  ,baby formulas are made from cow's milk that are  modified to resemble some breast milk somewhat  ,and i don't see that there's any  shortage of cow's milk and if there is  ,take it away from everyone else and make more  formula for babies i would be furious i would be,terrified if i was a new mother right  now that was depending on this product  ,and more has to be done they can't just  say well we're doing the best we can no  ,do more than the best you can and make more and  make sure that there is enough there for children, okay i'm done with my rent okay well i'm  off to my garden now to work off my anger  ,hopefully somebody with some sense will  come up with a solution to this issue, this is tony from her homestead  skills i hope you enjoyed this video  ,and we'll catch you on the next one bye for now

Baby Formula Natural Alternative if You Can't Breastfeed - Functional Nugget #205

Baby Formula Natural Alternative if You Can't Breastfeed - Functional Nugget #205

are you a new mother whose circumstances, won't allow you to breast feed your, newborn with the next best option be to,set your newborn on fire,I don't think so well if you are feeding, that newborn the number one pediatrician, recommended formula that may be just, what you're doing I'm dr. John Barr,Damas and I'm putting the pieces, together to help you live a life at,optimal breast milk is the mana sent, from heaven for our newborns breast milk,is the food nature intended for our, babies to consume once they were born, that leads to optimal health through, optimal growth and development there are, circumstances unfortunately where, mothers cannot breastfeed or the baby, won't latch or or whatever and if those, circumstances arise then obviously we,need an alternative fuel to feed that, baby or perhaps you can breastfeed but,you don't produce enough so you have to,supplement the baby with something well, modern modern society has developed, formulas to fill that gap but if we look,at the formulas we see that they're,filled with sub optimal nutrients, potential toxins pro-inflammatory,nutrients or pro-inflammatory,ingredients so we need to look for, alternative options - these man-made,products and so the number one doctor, recommended formula for newborns is in,famille and if we look at the Enfamil, package they even agree on the package, experts agree on the many benefits of,breast milk but we know you may need a,formula so if you use a formula here's,the number one pediatrician recommended, formula so let's dive into what's inside, this formula if you look at the, ingredients on this formula the very, first ingredient is corn syrup solids so,we're starting off with corn syrup for,the child in corn syrup is going to be a,very very high sugar content ingredient, and much of the,in the united states is GMO this product, says it's non-gmo so we hope that that's,true corn is also a known gluten cross, reactor so we need to be wary of that, the second product or ingredient, vegetable oil vegetable oil in a,combination of um coconut soy and, sunflower oils soy oil and sunflower, oils are high in omega-6 which may swing, the baby's omega-6 to omega-3 ratio, towards a pro-inflammatory profile and, inflammation can drive many symptoms the, next ingredient is partially, hydrogenated or partially hydrolyzed,non-fat milk and whey protein, concentrate again from soy so soy is,estrogenic and so if we're feeding baby, boy newborns lots of soy that has, potential to interfere with normal, hormone profiles and maybe drive that, boy you know feminine so we want to be,careful with introducing tons of soy to,these babies soy also as an own cross, reactor with gluten if we dive in,further here to the nutrient profile, looking down through the vitamins the, folate is folic acid folic acid is the, poorest form of folate and if a child, has a MTHFR genetic mutation folic acid,is it's a double whammy to use folic, acid versus a methylated form so that, could leave lead to issues or maybe not, issues but suboptimal growth and, development so instead of calling this n,famille I would rename this in flameel, and the light there we go,in Flamel so if we're driving our child,to be inflamed inflammation is the, fundamental building block to every, chronic disease in our society today, whether we're talking about diabetes, heart disease, answer autoimmunity whatever you're,talking about but what have we seen over, the past couple decades in our children,we're seeing them obese at ages that, they shouldn't be obese at because, they're not even eating enough to be,obese all right or we're seeing them, with diabetes type 2 diabetes which is,supposed to be adult onset diabetes,we're seeing two-year-olds with type 2,diabetes three year olds and younger and,so what could be driving this other than, the most frequent input into their, bodies everyday which is their nutrition,or their food so for starting them out, with number one ingredient is sugar and, multiple potentially pro-inflammatory,ingredients following the sugar in,addition to the sugar then we may be,setting up our children from birth for, these issues another well-known formula,on the market is Similac and so Similac,if we look at the ingredient profile the, first ingredient here is water but the, next ingredient so the first ingredient, because water's you know water is not, doing anything is corn syrup so again,we're loading them with sugar off the, start here this one nowhere on the label, does it say non-gmo and it does say soy, based so this one is going to the child, with lots and lots of soy in it corn, syrup next is soy protein isolate high, oleic safflower oil safflower is high in,omega-6 so it could be pro-inflammatory,then is sugar then is more soy in the, form of soy oil then some coconut oil,and then modified corn starch so we,don't see non GMO on the package and you,see something modified something or,modified corn starch we could probably, bet some money that there is GMO corn in,this and so again starting our, children's life off on a GMO prod

A Really Cool History of 7 Up Soft Drink (1950)...You Could Glaze a Ham With It!

A Really Cool History of 7 Up Soft Drink (1950)...You Could Glaze a Ham With It!

you, hmm, yes yes some of us like our music, and some of us like our music sweet, some people prefer the classics, while others would rather hear the old, songs, you,Oh,still others just don't like music it is,as we say a matter of taste a matter of,personal preferences individual likes, and dislikes that all of us have not, only for music but for almost everything, else in this world of ours now take, clothes for example a man's taste might, dictate dark colors simple patterns or,it may run the drape shapes stuff cuffs,Andrey please then ladies hats this is a,tailored model, now this well if she puts it on her head,it's a hat,it's a hat choice of reading to is a,matter of taste love and romance rate, high with some people while others, prefer to curdle up with a mystery, personal preference in flavors of food, and drink is a matter of taste in more, ways than one caviar to some is the food,of the Angels get to others it's nothing, but meh related buckshot so it goes, flavors that appeal to some people will, often be unappetizing to others but, there are some flavors that almost, everyone likes and one of these is lemon, yes most everyone likes lemon we use its, juice for flavoring to add pick off see,to other flavors on salads on shrimp and, most all seafood cocktails in pies cakes, and different desserts we use it on,cantaloupe and other fruit yes for its,own sake and as a complement to other, flavors most everyone enjoys the fresh, clean taste of lemon so doubtless it has, been ever since man first sampled the,Sun colored fruit,so it was two during the 1920s on a soft, drink company planning a new carbonated, beverage made a study of flavors most, appealing to the American palate lemon, one of the first fruit flavors ever used,in carbonated water was one of the most, popular of all yet strangely enough, though hundreds of lemon flavored drinks, were on the market at that time no one, brand had widespread distribution much, less national popularity each was, different different in sweetness, sourness and in color there was no,standard of taste in spite of these, facts or more likely because of them the, company decided to make lemon the basic, flavor of their new drink from 1925,through 1927 the desired characteristics,of the drink were worked out and in 1928,experts set out to perfect a formula for,a lemon drink that would succeed where, others failed a lemon drink with just, enough lime flavoring added for extra, piquancy and delicate taste appeal a,drink that would be good that would be,wholesome, that would be more than just another, prop selected bottlers located across, the country about a dozen and all worked, right along in these experiments they, made up the drinks distributed them in,their territories invited criticism from, both dealers and public alike and, reported results to the company in this, way formula after formula was made up,tried out and discarded until finally, the verdict was unanimous the new drink, was good it was right brisk,clean-tasting distinctive in flavor, outstanding in quality yes sir this was,the drink destined to sweep the, continent as America's fresh up drink, introduced in st. Louis Missouri during, the darkest years of the Great,Depression the new drinks old proud of,their product and pledged to maintain, topmost quality of its flavor and, goodness your local 7up Butler like John,Hunter here is always happy to welcome, you to his plant where you can be sure,he will make your visit and interesting,as well as a pleasant one,hey arles white oh thanks a lot thanks,Jackie not so fast oh that's all right, mrs. wife let him drink all he wants,it's good for him but zip it Jackie it,tastes better that way you know we're,mighty proud of what goes into our drink,in fact we list the ingredients right on,the label carbonated water sugar citric, acid lithium soda citrates flavor, derived from lemon and lime oils, carbonated water of course is water that, has been charged with carbon dioxide gas, this is the same gas that forms when, baking powder or yeast is added to cake, dough and causes it to rise it's the, same gas at flowers and trees and all, plant life live on in fact life on this, earth would be impossible without it the,gas in carbonated water is held, imprisoned you might say in the later, released it rises to the surface quickly, and easily in clouds of tiny balls, forcing these same bubbles into the, water for our drink is something else, again it's a highly complicated business, but let me explain the principle to you, briefly here we have the water in the, tank above the water we introduce the, carbon dioxide gas rushing into the tank, under pressure the bubbles fill the, empty space and then begin to penetrate, the water until pretty soon the surface,is crowded with it as more bubbles into, the water this crowding at the surface, makes it extremely difficult for the, rest of the bubbles to force their way, through and this of course makes further, penetration a relatively slow process, that's not so good so to overcome this,we simply spread out the same am

Hidden Killers of the Victorian Home - Full Documentary

Hidden Killers of the Victorian Home - Full Documentary

it was the Victorians who cherished the, idea of home as a domestic Haven they, coined the phrase safe as houses, and in this age of invention homes were, bursting at the seams with new gadgets, products and conveniences in the bedroom, with the latest beauty products and, manufactured clothes while in the, nursery the toys were brand new and, factory produced and for the first time, the stove warmed the entire house the, original home sweet home, but there was a problem many of the, exciting products and appealing, innovations they welcomed into their, homes were not just health hazards they, were killers and with the aid of science, our seek out these domestic assassins, their houses were disgusting I'll be,revealing what the Victorians couldn't,see inside their homes these things, undoubtedly would have killed many, children and showing the terrible, injuries that went inflicted in the name,of progress what you need to do is move, your bust up occasion just and I'll feel, the strain of chasing the Victorian, ideal, welcome to the perilous world of the, real Victorian home in the second half,of the 19th century cities exploded to,house the booming middle classes in just, over 50 years their number grew from two,and a half million to over nine and, these new urban middle classes took, immense pride in their homes they had, money and they wanted to spend it on,making their houses cozy havens of,domesticity and comfort not for these, people the grim perils a Victorian, factory life or the gritty reality of,the overcrowded streets the sort of,family who lived here enjoyed a level of,comfort and luxury previously unknown to,ordinary people the cost of necessities, fell dramatically and new mass, production techniques made Goods, available and affordable this meant a,level of conspicuous consumption never, witnessed before they filled their rooms, with things that made the house a home, they've been inspired by the Great,Exhibition of 1851 which showcased the, latest and the best in gadgets and, consumer goods what had been happening, now for the best part of a hundred years, suddenly crystallized in this, extraordinary exhibition it wasn't so,much that he was new as it was just, suddenly boom in bulk,as the century went on and consumerism, began to increase one of the fascinating, things is that the phrase standard of,living first appeared for the first time,in history you measured how good your, life was by how many objects you, possessed when you think about it that's,actually a very strange idea, you couldn't just buy anything what was,and what wasn't tasteful was discussed,at length in the many and various new, household guides and magazines John,Ruskin the leading art critic and social, theorist impressed on Victorian, consumers the importance of making the, right choices good taste is essentially,a moral quality what we like determines, what we are and to teach taste is,inevitably to form character yet while, the Victorians fretted about abstract, notions of morality they were oblivious,to the real dangers that came from, things they had welcomed into their, houses every room in the Victorian home, was filled with hidden killers and one,of the most dangerous places, was the drawing-room,the Victorians were really rejecting the, idea of the eighteenth-century,classicism the restraint the delicacy, the white walls that was all over they, wanted clutter they wanted color they, wanted accessory they really furnished,to show that for them color and clutter, and objects that was wealth and that was, that was importance and that was riches, one thing that particularly indicated, both good taste and status was wallpaper, the richer the pattern and the darker, more vivid the color the better, why because with the introduction of gas, lighting for the first time in history, there was enough light in the house for, ordinary people to have and enjoy, intense color on their walls as a result, there was something of a wallpaper craze, manuals like castles household guide, which told the Victorians how to do,everything outlined principles of good, taste and told them which patterns of,wallpaper to buy they were influencing a,massive market wallpaper sales had shot,up from around 1 million pieces a year,in 1834 to 32 million by 1874 castles, even gifts what its cause its theory of,color it describes his rules for the, artistic appreciation in dress in,furniture and it recommends green it,calls it a color of repose says the eye, experiences a healthy and peculiarly, grateful impression from this color as,opposed to something like yellowish red, which it says is the preference of,impetuous robust men and savage Nations,a particularly brilliant green known as,Sheila's green was all the rage she'll,was the swedish scientist who first, mixed the pigment to produce an,intensely vivid color that didn't fade, its incredible popularity meant that it,was used in everything from carpets,BrahMos candles and children's toys but, most of all it was used in industrial, quantities in wallpaper, there was one strange coinci

Vintage Clean with Me! ~1950s "Jubilee" Wax ūüćí Retro Cleaning Product!

hello everyone thank you for joining me,today I am so excited to share this, video with you guys you know I like to,keep my house as if it's 1955 and that, includes for me using a lot of vintage, products so today I'm going to be,talking about something called Jubilee, kitchen wax which I actually saw, advertised in one of my many many 1950s,magazines and I did research online and, discovered it's actually still on the, market which I couldn't believe so last, year I ordered a bottle and I started, using it and not only did I notice that,it did an amazing job of keeping, fingerprints and spots off of my table,in my refrigerator and cabinets but it,also smelled like my great grandmother's,house which I haven't been to for, decades but I'm convinced that she used, this let me read what it says about it,here it says it's excellent for, furniture refrigerators countertops, cabinets laminated plastic bathroom, fixtures Chrome faucets woodwork vinyl, leather plastic and ceramic tile it says,it's an easy to use Liquid Furniture wax, made for protecting well cleaning, appliances,so how you use it is you shake it well, and this is just the first process there, are two steps the first one is you go in,with your damp paper towel that has a,little bit of a product on it and you, just rub really well cleaning as you go,and just being aware that it will be a,little bit of a white film until you get,to the second step,so the second step is to get a fresh, paper towel and go in and rub off any, excess you want to do this all over the, surface and you'll know that you've,achieved the right amount of product on,the surface when it just kind of Glides, and so it leaves kind of a matte satin, sort of finish but this makes it so easy,to clean up if there's any spills and I,just love the product,so with the table done I'm moving on to,my retro refrigerator so this, refrigerator by the way is actually a,modern reproduction unlike my table, which is close to 70 years old,so you can see the bottle up close it's,kind of like a creamy white consistency, and I'm just putting a little bit again,on my damp paper towel, and because this refrigerator is black, you're going to notice the white color a,lot more, but don't worry the excess is all going,to come off,so I'm now coming in with my dry paper, towel which is step two and I'm wiping, off all of the excess, and then I'm detailing around the, lettering and around the handles, foreign,so because this is not an all-natural,product I always wash my hands after, using it I definitely would not use this,on any product that's going to have food, directly on it such as a cutting board, for instance and then I'm going in with,a regular spray and I'm cleaning off the, handles just so that,it gives it a shinier finish and any, excess of Polish comes right off,and this is the finished result it looks,so nice and clean and shiny and it,smells really good too I think I forgot,to tell you guys that part so I will, link the product in the description box, below you can get it on Amazon it's,super duper easy also the red housewife, dress that I'm wearing I'll be doing a,video for that soon I made it like I,make all my dresses and the funny thing,is it actually kind of looks very, similar to one of the red dresses in the,Vintage advertisement from the 50s,also my Redford refrigerator and retro, toaster are available online as well and,I will link those so I'd like to thank, you guys so much for joining me I hope, this has been fun for you guys to watch,I know it was fun for me to film I have,my week three of the white Christmas sew,Along coming this Thursday and I will, see you next time here on the Edelweiss, patterns YouTube channel, foreign

Homemade Ice Cream Without a Machine in Just 5 Minutes

Homemade Ice Cream Without a Machine in Just 5 Minutes

("Dio e Zinargo" by La Municipale Balcania),- Hi, I'm Jerry James Stone,,and you're watching Cooking Stoned.,In today's episode, I'm gonna show you,how to make ice cream using ingredients, you probably already have at home.,It only takes five minutes, not a whole lot of stuff,,and it's really super easy, and you get homemade ice cream.,How great is that? So let's start.,The first thing you need is milk.,I suggest using whole milk.,You can use 1% or 2%, but you'll get a lot of ice crystals,,so it's really, I mean, if you're gonna be eating ice cream,,you just eat the fat, right?,The next thing you want is cream,'cause, like I said, you want the fat.,Ice cream. It's in the name, cream, right?,We're gonna do vanilla.,And a half cup of sugar.,And just take everything and mix it together.,You want the sugar to be completely dissolved.,So the next thing we're gonna do is transfer, our ice cream mixture to a plastic bag.,Now, I recommend using a bowl,,and I recommend using a bag that has a zipper, because the zipper...,Well, this bag is gonna go inside another bag,,and you really don't want it to spill.,So using the bowl,,just pour mixture into this bag.,("Dio e Zinargo" by La Municipale Balcania),And now we're just gonna seal that up.,Permit some of the air.,So next we're gonna create our ice cream machine,,which is pretty much this plastic bag filled with ice.,So just go ahead and add in,a few ice cubes to get it started.,("Dio e Zinargo" by La Municipale Balcania),Then we're gonna add a half cup of rock salt.,Now, you don't need rock salt.,You can actually just use any kind of salt,,but the salt is important,,so you wanna make sure you have it.,This is what's gonna help bring the temperature down.,So go ahead and take the smaller bag,and put it inside your ice cream maker,,which is just another plastic bag.,And from there, we're gonna add in the remaining ice.,("Dio e Zinargo" by La Municipale Balcania),Trying to cover it on both sides.,I recommend wrapping this in a towel, because it gets cold 'cause ice cream.,So take the bag.,Wrap it up, and then we're gonna shake the heck out of it,for about five minutes or so.,You can do it less if you want it to be more like, soft serve, or you can do it more.,It's up to you.,(ice cubes rattle),Okay, so we shook that for five minutes.,And now we're gonna remove our bag of ice cream.,As you can see,,it's a lot firmer than it was when I put it in there.,Inside we have our makeshift ice cream,,which I'm then gonna scoop out.,The great thing about this is you can make, any ice cream you want.,You can make strawberry ice cream, chocolate ice cream.,It's all at your fingertips any time you want it.,Or you can just put your favorite toppings on.,("Dio e Zinargo" by La Municipale Balcania),There you go.,(hip hop instrumental music)
