15 Bean Soup - The Perfect Meatless Monday Meal

because of double-digit inflation and,rising prices at the grocery store,people are scrambling to figure out how,to get food on the table,at a reasonable price and one of the,options is to consider a meatless meal,one of my youtube friends linda at the,new orleans garden and then also one of,my friends mary and mary's nest have,talked about the possibility of meatless,meals and linda challenged everyone to a,meatless monday well i have the perfect,solution for a meatless meal and it is,the,15,bean soup,this bean soup is absolutely delicious,it is very filling,and it is also nutritious and the good,thing about this 15 bean soup it is very,easy to make all you need is a bag of,the hearse 15 bean soup mix it's just a,collection of beans 15 different beans,that provide a variety of nutritional,elements,you're going to need a can of petite,diced tomatoes,now when you make the soup you've got a,couple of options you can either make it,with eight cups of water,or you could make it with half water and,half say chicken broth or vegetable,broth for extra flavor i'm going to use,chicken broth chicken broth that is,homemade as the base and then i'll add,some water to that it just gives it more,nutrition and just more flavor,and i know what's in it since it's the,chicken broth that i've made myself for,just pennies on the dollar,you'll also need a teaspoon of chili,powder and i like to add a couple of,dashes of red pepper flakes now just a,couple of dashes because i don't want to,make it hot i don't want it real spicy,in addition i'll put in a dollop or two,of heinz chili sauce now,chili sauce has,much much flavor,but none of the heat so you can't go,wrong with a little bit of chili sauce,you'll need,one onion,chopped roughly and i always like to add,a carrot to my beans why because,carrots add a natural sweetness and it's,just a little bit extra nutrition,you need the juice of one lemon and you,also need a teaspoon of garlic and i'm,using the spice world,garlic that's already been minced and,all that good stuff and it's in a jar,just a little easier,but you don't have to do it that way you,can use one or two whole cloves of,garlic,and mince and chop your own,you can leave the carrot out if you like,but i encourage you to put the carrot in,because it really adds such nice flavor,so let's get it started,this video is brought to you by apron,diva,pretty and practical we believe that an,apron can be a homemaker's best,accessory,visit us at www.aprondiva.com,this bean soup turned out absolutely,delicious,and it is so nutritious now here's the,thing you can totally do it completely,as a meatless meal option however,if you didn't want it to be completely,meatless you wanted to give it a little,bit of flavor just a hint of meat you,could add a hambone just put the ham,bone in the soup and just let it simmer,once the soup is almost done and that'll,just add a little bit of that meaty,flavor that your family may be looking,for,and then take the bone out,and your soup is nicely flavored and,you're good to go and your family won't,miss the meat because of course they've,got that meaty flavor,so that's an option as well it's just a,way of,reducing your expenditures in the meat,department and on your grocery budget,and i purposefully wore my thankful,apron today,because i am reminded that i am thankful,every time i'm able to put a meal on the,table and actually when we first got,these thankful aprons in we were getting,them in for thanksgiving but a couple of,my viewers said you know some people are,thankful all year round,and that is so true we've got to be,thankful,all year round,for every meal that's on the table for,every roof that's over our head for,everything that we were able to do for,our family,so i did get in a new stock of these,thankful aprons and i will link them in,the description box,click here to check out my mac and,cheese recipes and click here,for more budget friendly meal options,and i'll see you over there,i must admit i'm flexing just a little,bit now,i reorganized my spice cabinet a few,weeks ago using some life-changing,kitchen advice from k the organized,soprano,and it is still working my pantry is,still looking,absolutely amazing with both of us going,in and out it's still working so,i just wanted to share

hi foodies well while lasagna,is a fantastic leftover i think all,italian food is better the next day,i thought that this 15 bean soup which,is what you're probably familiar with,i make a 16 bean soup would be perfect,for this snowy,afternoon evening and because i did,lasagna i'm kind of lazy today so i want,to utilize my instant pot which is,pretty much,it does all the work for me only thing i,had to do was prep look at those,beautiful beans i've rinsed them,cleaned them i've got some diced tomato,i'm going to be using four cups of water,and four cups of veggie broth,uh this can be vegetarian if you wanted,to be definitely utilize some of the,celery leaves with the chopped celery,if you've never had celery leaves on a,on a lobster roll,you've not lived but you can cook with,those and it adds a delicious flavor,we've got some turkey smoked sausage,because my cardiologist would be happy,with that a,some diced red pepper oh boy i'm going,too fast onion carrot,we got red pepper flakes bay leaf and,thyme some tomato bouillon,salt and pepper and lemon juice from a,fresh,lemon about 2 3 cup i trust me,on that you cannot omit that plus some,fresh parsley,i try to make these fast for you guys,but man i'm i'm way ahead of myself so,now i um i got the instant pot on saute,and i put in some oil you can use,whatever cooking oil you want,and i'm adding all of my veggies except,the garlic and the parsley,and i'm gonna saute these until they're,softer,about two or three minutes or so once,they,are softer then i'm going to go ahead,and add my garlic,saute it for another 30 seconds or so,and then i'm going to go ahead and add,the smoked turkey sausage you could,of course can use regular smoked sausage,you could even use ham,and that other uh brand the 15 bean,comes with that ham,packet seasoning i throw that away it's,awful but,okay if you want to you can use it so,i'm putting in the spices the red pepper,flake the,bouillon the bay leaf and the thyme i,already put in the salt and the pepper,now i'm just stirring that up i've,turned off the saute function,uh it's still hot obviously but now at,this point you want to turn that off and,i'm adding in my beans,and then i'm going to add in the water,and the broth you can use all broth,but you can use all water uh it's,entirely up to you i just didn't have,enough of the veggie broth so i did a,half and half and it does not affect the,flavor this soup is so flavorful,it is so good you guys you have to try,it like it is fantastic,and i've had the traditional 15 bean,soup that they the recipe on the back,no it's okay this,is fabulous i would not lead you wrong,on this,so now obviously i'm just stirring,everything up i'm going to,put the lid on make sure my instant pot,is sealed,and i'm going to do a manual cook,manual pressure for about 45 minutes,this is why you do not have to pre-soak,or pre-boil your beans the pressure,cooker does that for you,it is such a time saver you don't even,have to worry about beans anymore if you,have an instant pot,i'm so in love with it so now it's,been 45 minutes i let it come down to,a natural release for about 30 because i,got busy,but you can you know lift it up after 45,minutes or you can do what i did,and just let it natural release it it,only adds more dimension and flavor,at this point now i'm putting in the,parsley uh,and that's to taste and the lemon juice,the fresh,lemon juice you guys honestly this it,elevates it it won't be the same if you,don't put that lemon juice in,and the diced tomatoes and i think the,reason that when you wait on that it has,something to do with the physics of the,beans and the acid,and the tomatoes and the lemon juice so,now i'm resetting it to,the saute setting for,about another 10 minutes or so because i,want the flavors to sort of simmer,together so,basically it's like being on the stove,for another 10 minutes,and letting those flavors of the,tomatoes and the lemon,and the parsley,start to infuse the soup oh man you guys,you have no idea how good this is,so now um it's doing its thing,it is definitely starting to simmer,and now we're getting ready to serve it,up,and boy is it fabulous so here we go,a big bowl and you can you know put some,little tabasco on there you can garnish,this however you'd like,we're just doing traditional like soup,oyster crackers,um which is so yummy and we ate,both between us we both ate like three,bowls,honestly each i have like one bowl left,for lunch today,gotta try it get you an instant pot for,real

what's up guys welcome back to healthy,recipe we're gonna be making today a 16,bean soup 16 bean soup it's just kind of,a mixture of being is that they sell,dried we're gonna be using our pressure,cooker and also adding a little bit of,rice and some kale on it gonna make it,absolutely delicious and full of,nutrients so let's get right to please,don't forget to hit the subscribe button,below and the notification bell so every,time we upload a new video you get,notified for brand new healthy recipes,all right so let's go over the,ingredients that we're using for this,soup I have here the 16 bean mix and I,just soaked these for about two or three,hours I'm gonna be using the pressure,cooker so it should be they should,tenderize really well so this has got,like 16 different types of legumes in it,they have some lima beans which they,opened up which i thought was kind of,crazy how they they turned out after,being soaked but it's got 16 different,types of beans in here and it comes in a,bag is a two pound bag I think it was,like a dollar or something at Target I'm,using one cup of diced red tomato about,six cups probably 8 cups of kale now,maybe 6 cups of kale shredded and this,time for the first time that I've done,with a with a soup I left the ribs in,and I shredded it thinner because it's,gonna be in the pressure cooker I think,that the ribs will tenderize and I'll be,able to use to get all those nutrients,that are in the in the ribs of the kale,I think also that the fact that that,there will be pressure cooked will make,them really really tender so I have my,Thai chili mix just Thai chilies ground,up,one cup of diced red onion 1 cup of,medium grain white rice and this rice,just really starchy kind of like our,borio rice so it'll make the soup,premier and thicker you could use brown,rice definitely probably would be even,better but I had this leftover so I,figured I would use it I have some cumin,ground cumin extra virgin olive oil my,new smoky paprika Chipotle seasoning mix,I have about 1/2 cup of minced parsley,about 8 cloves of freshly minced garlic,and I have here about 8 cups of,vegetable broth and this vegetable broth,is actually from all my leftover veggies,that I cut the odds and ends and I cook,it down until I get you know some stock,that I can freeze or use for later for,other ingredients has got all the,vitamins and minerals from those,leftover veggies so if you guys throwing,away your your organic veggie pieces,save them up and boil them and use that,for your vegetable broth you could even,make teas and all kinds of stuff with it,there's this broth is loaded with all,those vitamins that seeped off into the,water so first thing we're going to do,is we're going to go over to kasoori,pressure cooker and we're gonna start,working on some aromatics with a sautee,function alright so now that we've got,the sautee function on the pressure,cooker I'm going to drop in about 1,tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil and,this pressure cooker apparently sautés,at 284 degrees Fahrenheit that's their,preset setting so that's pretty good,now we got the oil hot I see you should,be still a little cool I'm gonna go,ahead and drop the onion in just to,infuse it after this I'm gonna go ahead,and grab and drop the garlic your Roma's,are already permeating the building but,now for this I'm gonna go ahead and add,the rice to get a nice hosting effect,and also to infuse it with olive oil and,garlic and onion flavor,when I get the rice a little toasty it's,now we're gonna add the tomato and this,is kind of God defuse those sticky bits,from the bottom with the moisture that,it has that's the actual saute function,that is hot enough but we're not gonna,worry about that if you're gonna go,right too soon once we're done here okay,now I'm gonna add in the kale and all,this here is gonna break down you know,it's almost nothing and a reduced in,size,as it cooks,that's exactly what we want and add a,little bit of our bra we don't get,anything stuff at the bottom too much,now we're able to release all those,flavors at the bottom of the pot just by,over mixing them with a spatula that's,all gonna release into our super I'm,gonna add in about 1 tablespoon there's,about a heaping tablespoon right sure,our Chipotle seasoning about 1 teaspoon,of cumin 1/2 a teaspoon of cumin a pinch,of Thai chilies,give it a good mix in here,so everything blends together well,before adding the rest of the,ingredients all this smells already wow,I love that Chipotle seasoning and,Sunday I'm going back I'm going to buy,all their stock of the help up in,vegetable all right so now what we're,gonna do is I'm gonna go ahead and add,our beans and then we gotta go ahead and,add our Robin all right just about eight,cups to be right above the line of the,beans so I'm gonna go ahead and put the,cover on and we're gonna hit the soup,function on this and let me tell you,guys how much stop cancel soup all right,so the soup function on this rice cooker,is 25 minutes so it

chef buck here and today we're,going to make a super simple bean soup,doesn't that sound awesome,bean soup it's just just we dreamed,about when you a child,so the first thing we're going to do,boom get us a pot soup sized pot and,we're going to put it on a medium-high,heat we're going to heat up a little bit,of oil because we're going to saute some,onions and garlic first so throw you in,there boom you know maybe a tablespoon,or two,all righty so my oils heat it up I'm,gonna let these go for a couple of,minutes what the head even before we let,him go for a couple of minutes I'm going,to throw my garlic in here I got like,five cloves of garlic here but you need,to follow your garlic heart on this one,as much as you want so I got my onion,and garlic in here and I'm going to,saute it up for just a couple of minutes,all on this multi when you was a kid you,know that saying kids always said beans,beans are good for your heart the more,you eat beans the better you feel you,remember saying that all the time of,year a kid did you grow up in a rougher,neighborhoods in I do our own yinz and,garlic have been sauteing up here for a,couple of minutes I'm gonna go ahead and,throw some seasoning in here now this is,all I'm puttin I got a little fresh,ground black pepper some salt and a,little bit of heat this is some chili,pepper but this is that Chipotle you,know if you wanted to you could put a,fresh pepper in here last time I made,this I put a whole jalapeno in here,season everything in hamburger was less,than thrilled she wasn't in a hot mood,you know but this year I had a nice,flavor so stir your spices up into your,own yinz,so we got our onions and garlic going,there what else do we want to put in now,we're not going to do our beans yet,we're going to put in our bra this is a,32 ounce container I'm going to go ahead,and raise the temperature up pour this,in here and bring it up to a bubble,that's very inappropriate somehow while,our soup is coming up to a bubble over,there I'm going to cut up a little bit,of sausage we got some leftover,breakfast sausage and this is already,cooked up you know but if you don't have,any sausage you don't have to you don't,have to use that you don't have to add,any at all but this is a nice addition,you know for a nice little little flavor,and texture but you could also use ham I,mean some cooked ham some smoked ham,that would be fantastic,I mean ham and bean is a great,combination soups come up to a bubble,our onions and our garlic and our broth,we're going to take this sausage that's,already been cooked up and like I said,you could put any kind of meat in here,you want if you want meat but you don't,have to pack and we're gonna bone we're,going to throw a bay leaf in there too,because it's soup and bay leaf and soup,that's just a natural combination right,now we're going to add in our beanies,alrighty I got some cannellini beans two,cans I've already rinsed and drained,them so I'm going to throw my beans in,here these are white beans,like I said cannellini but you know,that's kind of boring,I like cannellini beans for a bean soup,but you know it just needs a little,pizazz so I'm going to take one can of,black beans and when you add your black,beans only use the finest black beans,that be in whatever's on sale,who'da thunk it whoo - whoo - there you,have it,black and white beans living in harmony,I wish the world could be just like this,this soon,I mean hand you can't cook already so we,got our whole mess here,come up to a simmer we're going to go,ahead and reduce it down to a low and,then we're going to cover it up we're,going to let it cook low and slow for,about a half hour,you know simmer wet get those flavors,going and you know they will unite you,know harmonious being medley of joy name,here we are it has been 45 minutes you,know so a little bit more than half hour,why it doesn't really matter I mean soup,you can be loosey-goosey with soup you,know I started watching that,skateboarding videos on YouTube watch in,the fail yeah it's all about,skateboarders and poor decision skills,you know when I had it on super duper,low you know low and slow and you know,haven't really evaporated much of our,liquid but if you did evaporate a lot of,your liquid you could just add a little,bit more you could add a little bit of,water in there but we're going to take,our bay leaf out and discard that this,is pretty lumpy junky you know there's,lots of stuff in here we got lots of,beans we got our sausage we got our,onion some we're going to go ahead and,we're going to zum-zum it up,you don't worry me and creamy it up a,little bit not a lot though you could,creamy it up as much as you want to but,I do like it to have a little bit of,texture so I'm not going to do too much,of that now if you don't have one of,these if you don't have a little hand,blender you know you could just you,could just take a few cups of this out,and you know liquefy it up in a blender,blender blender type blender but I'm,usin

3 Bean Stew with Rice & Vegetables | Quick & Easy Heart-Healthy Recipe

so even though we're in the smack middle  of summer i really have a hankering for a  ,bean stew you know it's one of those times  where your body's asking for heart healthy  ,food to give you the energy to tackle on the  day anyways today that's exactly what we're  ,doing here on spain on a fork we're making a very  simple three bean stew with rice and vegetables  ,now this is the kind of dish that promises  to fill your body with so much goodness  ,it's very easy to make and the best part it  comes together in just 40 minutes folks as always  ,serve this bean stew next to a crunchy baguette  and a bottle of spanish wine and you're gonna have  ,yourself one heck of a delicious meal really  quick before we begin a shout out to a couple  ,of my patreons Karen Bird, Barbara Eastman, Uncle Bud and Jim Schallert again guys thank you so much for  ,being patreons of spain on a fork you know how much  i appreciate you all right let's just dive right  ,into this recipe i'm going to add 2 cups of cold  water into a saucepan which is 475 milliliters,then we'll season the water  generously with sea salt  ,and heat it with a high heat while the water's  heating let's start getting our ingredients  ,ready i'm going to begin by measuring out  1 cup of long grain rice which is 190 grams,add the rice into a sieve and rinse it under some  cold running water until the water starts running  ,clear underneath the sieve of course to make this  recipe you can use whatever type of rice you like  ,though the water to rice ratio might be different  so make sure to check the package instructions,we'll also roughly chop half of a large onion  roughly chop one carrot that's been peeled  ,thinly slice one celery stick and  roughly chop four cloves of garlic  ,once the water comes to a boil in the saucepan  i'm going to add in the one cup of rice,we'll give it a quick mix and then place a  lid on the saucepan and lower it to a low heat  ,at the same time i'm going to  heat a stockpot with a medium heat  ,and add in a generous two tablespoons of  extra virgin olive oil which is 35 milliliters,after heating the olive oil for about one  minute i'm going to add in the chopped veggies  ,and we'll mix the vegetables around that way  they're all coated in that olive oil and like  ,i always tell you it's very important to mix  them continuously that way they all evenly saute,after about three minutes and the  vegetables are lightly sauteed  ,you don't want to brown them too much i'm going to  ,add in one teaspoon of sweet smoked spanish  paprika which is about two and a half grams,and one teaspoon of dried  thyme which is about one gram  ,and we'll give it a quick mix that way the  paprika and the thyme are evenly coating all  ,the vegetables as always the spanish paprika  that i'm using is from kiva like i always tell  ,you one of the best spanish paprikas out there  you'll find a link where you can get some in the  ,description box below and if you buy it from that  link you'll also get 25% percent off your order,then i'm going to add in a 14 and a half ounce  can of diced tomatoes which is about 410 grams,and we'll season everything with a kiss of  sea salt and some freshly cracked black pepper,and we'll give it a quick mix that  way everything's evenly mixed together  ,and then simmer for a couple minutes that  way the juices from the can diced tomatoes  ,can really thicken up in the meantime  let's start getting our beans ready i'm  ,going to add in a can of white beans into  a colander a can of red kidney beans and  ,a can of pinto beans each can is 15 and  a half ounces which is about 440 grams,and we'll rinse the beans under some cold running  water to remove any of the preservatives or sodium  ,that way later on when we add the beans into  the pan they can absorb all the flavors,after simmering the diced tomatoes  for about 3 minutes and you can see  ,that the juices have really thickened up i'm  going to add in the beans into the stockpot,and we'll also add in two and a half cups of  vegetable broth which is about 600 milliliters  ,you can also use water here but let me tell you  by using the broth it gives the stew an incredible  ,depth of flavors then we'll give it one final  mix that way everything's evenly mixed together  ,and remember to be gentle here otherwise  you can easily break those beans apart,and we'll turn up the heat from a medium heat  to a high heat and bring that broth to a boil  ,once the broth comes to a boil i'm  going to place a lid on the stock pot  ,and lower the fire to a low heat while our stew  is simmering let's move back to the rice it's  ,been simmering on a low heat with the lid  on for about 15 minutes and at this point  ,that rice should be perfectly cooked through once  again make sure to check the package instructions  ,in the rice that you're using i'm going to remove  the pan from the heat remove the lid from the pan  ,and using a fork i'm going to fluff up the rice  this is going to help separate

hey this is chuck from brand new vegan,welcome to another recipe video,this time we're making a vegan white,bean soup,i hope you enjoy it's coming right up,all right guys so easy i got a five,quart touch dutch oven there,and we're going to add one yellow or,white onion,about two cups chopped and a little bit,of water or veggie broth to keep it from,sticking,we're gonna sweat those down sauteed,summer,however you want to say it so the ends,get soft,then we're going to add about a cup of,celery that's two socks or two ribs,and some carrots that's probably a cup,and a half,of sliced carrots this is our base for,our soup,we'll let those soften up about 10,minutes,then we'll add our veggie broth first,we're going to season it with a little,salt,a little pepper a little sage,and a little basil,i'll be using rub sage and the,difference between rub,sage and powdered sage is the rub sage,is more like the leaf,so i always get the leaf kind not the,powder kind,there goes the basil about a teaspoon,we'll mix that up smells incredible,already,put that simmer for a bit we want those,carrots be nice and soft,add some garlic in my case a lot of,garlic because i love garlic,i put about three cloves of garlic in,you could add two,or one or you can leave it out if you,want,give it a stir,now goes to veggie broth that's a cup,and a half,that's low sodium pacific brand,vegetable broth,and half a cup of,non-dairy milk i'm using almond milk you,could use soy milk,you could use oat milk hemp milk,whatever you like,about half a cup just make sure it's not,vanilla flavored or,sweetened and now,come the beans i'm using three cans,those are 15 ounce cans,of white bean white beans are navy beans,they're great northern beans they're uh,cannellini,i got two cans of navy and one can and,cannellini rinse them,drain them nadja beans and that's all,there is to it,cover that up let it simmer for about 20,minutes or so,beads are already cooked but we don't,get those vegetables nice and soft,then we add a 15 ounce can of diced,tomatoes i did drain the juice out first,if you can get no salt added tomatoes,perfect,and a couple handfuls of spinach or kale,whatever greens you like they'll start,to,wilt immediately so put the lid on,give it a few minutes and that's,basically the recipe,that's the soup it's good,it's very good this is one of my,daughter's favorite soups,so hope you like it speaking of like if,you do like the recipe,remember to hit the like button that,makes,youtube happy which will make me happy,and subscribe if you haven't already,that'll make me really happy and ring,the bell,notification bell so you know when i put,out another video,which will be soon i promise i know i've,been gone for a while,between the health scare i had in,february and this whole covent thing,it's been kind of rough and the office,remodel and all this stuff but,we're getting back into it so hang with,me and we'll get her done,until then this is chuck from brand new,vegan thanks so much for watching,oh i almost forgot the link to the,recipe,down in the box below but you knew that,didn't you

hi guys it's winter now and it's must to,have soups in chilly winters let's start,with this 15 bean soup recipe,this is a healthy bean soup and you can,see it has a variety of beans in it,this has the large lima beans the red,kidney beans,the black kidney beans and the pinto,beans,and chickpeas and lots of other lentils,in it,if you don't get this pack of 15 bean,soup in your region,you can mix any five beans at least that,you have at home,wash and soak this beans for overnight,or around six,hours the beans should be soaked in,double the quantity of water than the,beans,and this is how it looks after soaking,i am going to use my pressure cooker you,could use instapod or,slow cooker i am starting by adding,coconut oil to this,any oil works but i like the flavor of,coconut oil,when the oil heats up i'll add chopped,onions and saute it until it becomes,slightly transparent,add finely chopped a minced garlic,saute these two well then add some,chunky pieces of tomatoes,i have used three tomatoes one i have,cut it into chunky pieces and rest into,fine pieces,and added all its juices,try to use the juiciest tomatoes here,since this is a vegetarian soup add,whatever veggies you like here i have,taken red bell peppers,and carrots,don't go overboard with the veggies just,add two or three,because there are already lots of greens,in this,add your soaked beans now,i've used two cups of beans here so i,have added five cups of water,you could also go with four cups of,water here if you want a thicker,consistency,add salt to your taste,one teaspoon of cumin powder and half a,teaspoon of red chili powder,now i am going to close the lid and,after this comes to a boil,that is one whistle i am going to simmer,it for 20 minutes,after around 20 minutes it looks like,this the beans are well cooked and some,of them are broken,if you can see in this one i can show,you one more spoon of this,when you see that the some of the beans,are broken and some are firm,that is when you know that it's cooked,i know many of you like thicker soups,for that my trick is to puree some of,this,bean soup in your blender and add it,back to the soup,so that it becomes thicker you can make,it thicker by adding more,beans puree and make it to a consistency,of a vegetarian,chili but i like it this way also i'm,going to keep some of this in the fridge,and it thickens over time,so now it's time to season this let's,serve it in a bowl,and i'm going to season it with lemon,juice and coriander leaves,you could go ahead and also add pepper,if you like it spicy,and oregano give it a thumbs up if you,like this video and subscribe to our,channel,see you guys with more interesting,recipes bye bye

16 Bean Soup | Instant Pot Recipe -- THE BEST!

today is soup day and I have got a,wonderful suit planned the those,wonderful people at nut stop calm have,sent us a 16 bean soup mix which is,actually better than the ones you get on,the in the store because those are think,fifteen being these look like a,wonderful variety and I'm gonna make a,soup in my instant pot so I'm gonna,bring you on now I'm gonna open them up,let's take a look what's in here all,right take care all righty,because on the label it doesn't say what,the different beans are but I can see,we've got some pintos kidney red beans,there's lentils I don't know whether,that's a key or a soybean maybe black,beans oh wow,little tiny navy beans black-eyed peas,lentils a split peas a yellow split peas,well this is a really really nice mix so,so I'm going to go through these beans,and kind of sort through them make sure,there's maybe not any little pebbles in,there then I'm going to give them a,really good rinse I'm not gonna soak,them because of such a wide variety of,beans it would be really hard to,determine you know how long to soak them,but I will be doing a full 40 minutes in,my instant pot so once I get these ready,to go we'll be back okay I have rinsed,and sorted those beans and I have to,tell you really clean very clean beans,no pebbles they were very clean they,didn't have a like that dust on them,that you'd find so I'm gonna bring you,down and we're gonna get started on this,pot all right bring you in a little bit,so you can see better there you are okay,there you are okay all right I'm gonna,start some olive oil in here I've got my,pot heating putting about a tablespoon,of olive oil in there and I'm going to,add some celery onion and carrot,Dizzy's a nicer,and what some stock hip just a little,bit I don't want them to stop because,I'll be you know cooking them for about,40 minutes you know on high pressure so,don't want to put them too much now I'm,going to throw a couple of bay leaf in,there and some garlic,you got three cloves worth of garlic,really what I want to do it these onions,celery and carrots let's just give them,a good coating and I will salt after I,am done I think sometimes being send the,instant pot I actually do a better I've,noticed chop you know i I've athletes,sometimes I do it with salt sometimes I,don't and now I'm gonna add my beans you,should see this is beautiful color cuz,it's almost like a symphony great great,great Dorothy very pretty colors all,right and I am going to add a little bit,of cayenne to this a little bit,half a teaspoon little less that happen,those are quarter teaspoon and their,shirts that I'm using and then I'm going,to add oh seven cups of water you could,add stock chicken stock vegetable stock,but I've decided to keep this up a vegan,vegetarian recipe so about seven cups in,there for that pound of beans what's,nice about this I have looked up a lot,of multi bean soup mixes and of all the,ones that I have found online I need to,pull that out Oh a lot of them have like,a seasoning mix in them and everyone,that I not everyone but many of them I,saw said they didn't like the seasoning,mix so this is kind of nice it doesn't,have one and you can you know select,your own own seasonings all right I'm,gonna turn that off my saute and put it,on my manual and I'm gonna put my lid on,make sure it's on you know on closed or,sealed and I'm going to give this 41e,have it 40 to 43 minutes odd number huh,okay got my pot ready to go here once it,is done I'm going to let it go natural,release don't want to do a quick release,when you're doing beans and once it's,done I will open up the pot and we'll,see what's going on inside very excited,to taste this I've never had,a 16 bean soup so this is a new new,thing for us and so we're real excited,to to taste it anyway once we're ready,to open the pot we'll be back,the soup is done and actually I have to,say I took the lid off it after the 43,minutes and it was just a little al,dente so I gave it another 10 minutes,and they're perfect now so all I've done,is tasted a bean just to make sure they,were done so I'm gonna put up a bowl of,this and we're gonna give it a taste,are you ready to try this it's no good,in there,oh my gosh smells good all right this,soup is very hot oh you know first yes,first oh yeah,there's so many beautiful beans in here,as I was you know putting some in the,bowl I saw they were like these big,butter beans in there mm-hmm now I put a,little salt dessert enough salt in there,yeah oh there is enough salt okay,because I cooked them with no salt,whatsoever oh wow yeah we've never had a,16 bean soup before mmm really mmm,Oh golly gee okay oh my gosh you sound,like it sounds delicious mm-hmm that's,really good really huh oh well mmm,that's one of the best bean soups I've,ever had in my life well you know it is,oh wow come on some of that there's that,view that's one of those big butter,beans I just got something that Cayenne,I stuck in there way in the back of the,throat you know what you think it
