because of double-digit inflation and,rising prices at the grocery store,people are scrambling to figure out how,to get food on the table,at a reasonable price and one of the,options is to consider a meatless meal,one of my youtube friends linda at the,new orleans garden and then also one of,my friends mary and mary's nest have,talked about the possibility of meatless,meals and linda challenged everyone to a,meatless monday well i have the perfect,solution for a meatless meal and it is,the,15,bean soup,this bean soup is absolutely delicious,it is very filling,and it is also nutritious and the good,thing about this 15 bean soup it is very,easy to make all you need is a bag of,the hearse 15 bean soup mix it's just a,collection of beans 15 different beans,that provide a variety of nutritional,elements,you're going to need a can of petite,diced tomatoes,now when you make the soup you've got a,couple of options you can either make it,with eight cups of water,or you could make it with half water and,half say chicken broth or vegetable,broth for extra flavor i'm going to use,chicken broth chicken broth that is,homemade as the base and then i'll add,some water to that it just gives it more,nutrition and just more flavor,and i know what's in it since it's the,chicken broth that i've made myself for,just pennies on the dollar,you'll also need a teaspoon of chili,powder and i like to add a couple of,dashes of red pepper flakes now just a,couple of dashes because i don't want to,make it hot i don't want it real spicy,in addition i'll put in a dollop or two,of heinz chili sauce now,chili sauce has,much much flavor,but none of the heat so you can't go,wrong with a little bit of chili sauce,you'll need,one onion,chopped roughly and i always like to add,a carrot to my beans why because,carrots add a natural sweetness and it's,just a little bit extra nutrition,you need the juice of one lemon and you,also need a teaspoon of garlic and i'm,using the spice world,garlic that's already been minced and,all that good stuff and it's in a jar,just a little easier,but you don't have to do it that way you,can use one or two whole cloves of,garlic,and mince and chop your own,you can leave the carrot out if you like,but i encourage you to put the carrot in,because it really adds such nice flavor,so let's get it started,this video is brought to you by apron,diva,pretty and practical we believe that an,apron can be a homemaker's best,accessory,visit us at www.aprondiva.com,this bean soup turned out absolutely,delicious,and it is so nutritious now here's the,thing you can totally do it completely,as a meatless meal option however,if you didn't want it to be completely,meatless you wanted to give it a little,bit of flavor just a hint of meat you,could add a hambone just put the ham,bone in the soup and just let it simmer,once the soup is almost done and that'll,just add a little bit of that meaty,flavor that your family may be looking,for,and then take the bone out,and your soup is nicely flavored and,you're good to go and your family won't,miss the meat because of course they've,got that meaty flavor,so that's an option as well it's just a,way of,reducing your expenditures in the meat,department and on your grocery budget,and i purposefully wore my thankful,apron today,because i am reminded that i am thankful,every time i'm able to put a meal on the,table and actually when we first got,these thankful aprons in we were getting,them in for thanksgiving but a couple of,my viewers said you know some people are,thankful all year round,and that is so true we've got to be,thankful,all year round,for every meal that's on the table for,every roof that's over our head for,everything that we were able to do for,our family,so i did get in a new stock of these,thankful aprons and i will link them in,the description box,click here to check out my mac and,cheese recipes and click here,for more budget friendly meal options,and i'll see you over there,i must admit i'm flexing just a little,bit now,i reorganized my spice cabinet a few,weeks ago using some life-changing,kitchen advice from k the organized,soprano,and it is still working my pantry is,still looking,absolutely amazing with both of us going,in and out it's still working so,i just wanted to share

The BEST Vegan 15 Bean Crockpot Chili EVER

welcome to brand-new vegan and this is,Chuck and today we are making some chili,some crock-pot chili and it is so easy,and so good and you're gonna love it and,this is brought to you by my friends at,Hearst and beans those little bags of 15,bean soup mix that's what we're gonna,use and it makes one of the most,incredible chilies you've ever tasted so,here we go we got some ingredients,coming up got that little bag of 15 bean,soup you can find those at most grocery,stores we have some simple veggies some,garlic de spice mix I'll have all the,ingredients in the recipe below that's,the chili powder I use McCormick people,ask me that all the time,we've got some veggie broth some,tomatoes some tomato paste and of course,we've got our crock pot so the rest,start by opening up that little bag of,15 bean soup we're gonna dump our beans,into a colander where I take that little,seasoning packet set it aside for now,we're gonna pick through the beans make,sure there's no rocks or twigs or,anything weird in there and give them a,good rinse,into the crock pot they go and go the,onions green bell pepper red bell pepper,this is a jalapeno you can leave this,out if you'd like and some garlic then,give that quick stir these are dried,beans by the way no soaking required,we're gonna take an entire carton of veg,broth I use the low-sodium and goes the,veg brought the entire carton then we're,gonna add about 3 cups of water pretty,easy so far huh,there's 2 cups and our third cup,in goes the will seasoning packet from,the bag of beans and goes our own spices,again all the ingredients will be in the,link below give all that a good stir put,on the lid plug in your crock pot turn,it on high and walk away,this is it about four hours five hours,later you come back give everything a,stir make sure the beans are nice and,soft and I did a little test right there,it should be nice and nice and soft and,throw a little bit crunchy just let them,cook a little bit longer now we can add,our tomatoes and our tomato paste if you,add the tomatoes at the beginning of,this the acidity from the tomatoes will,hurt in the beans and make them really,tough they take forever to cook so add,your tomatoes will last you've had a,good stir let it simmer for another hour,and then only if you'd like I use this,masa tamale flour a tablespoon that adds,a nice thickening agent to the chili you,don't have to use it a good pinch of,salt or two if you have ever seen a good,stir let it simmer for another 5-10,minutes and you've got crock pot chili,it is so good so easy obviously he was,dump everything in the crock pot turn it,on and there we go,again this was brought to you by my,friends at hers hand beans hope you,liked the video come by my website in,the link below and see what other kinds,of recipes I have and I hope to see you,soon again this is Chuck a brand new,vegan thanks for watching

hidey-ho their friends and neighbors,Bobby here today what am I doing here,today folks I am actually picking,through some beans here that I am going,to make a pot of beans so if you stay,with me here guys I'm going to show you,how to make a pot of beans today beans,are cheap cheap way to eat you make a,lot of food for a lot of people for not,a lot of money it's good for you good,and protein and fiber so stay tuned if,you want to see how to make a pot of,beans guys the first thing I'm doing,here is actually just picking through,this bag of beans I'm looking for,anything in here that might not look,like I wanna eat let me show you a,perfect example this thing over here,that I took out a minute ago I don't,look right to me it looks like it's been,I don't know what happened that bean but,I don't want to eat that so that's why,you want to pick through your veins so,step one open up your bag lay them out,on the table on a clean surface clean,table and then just kind of look through,them and drag them off into a another,container and you'll be ready to go we,got all our beans picked through here,and we've got our slow cooker out ready,to go we've got all of our ingredients,here we've got our water for our beans,to soak in we're ready to go here guys,let me backtrack here may I'll show you,what we're actually doing today we're,doing the Hearst ham beans brand of,their 15 bean soup okay and these come,either in a Cajun flavor or a ham flavor,it comes to this little seasoned pack,that will actually add light later and,it just simply says ham flavor,you know first slow cooker and I'm gonna,read you off the back here they have a,little recommended recipe here and we're,gonna pretty much stick to it,we might alter it a little bit cuz you,tells you that you're gonna need the,pack of beans you're gonna need an onion,you're gonna need some diced tomatoes,some chili powder some lemon juice some,1 to 2 cloves of garlic and optional a,ham hock or smoked sausage ok so I'm,going to show you how I do it okay I,actually have of course we have the,beans here I'm gonna put them in here,just a minute I'm gonna go ahead and,I've got a heaping teaspoon of salt,heaping teaspoon of pepper I'm gonna add,in at the beginning we've got eight cups,of water,okay these beans are gonna soak up a lot,of water for the first half of the day,and that's what we're gonna put in here,just a minute and then later on we're,gonna open up a can of diced tomatoes,we're gonna add that we're gonna sear up,this little ham steak on the stove and,then we're gonna dice it up we're going,to throw that in there later this,afternoon we have an onion we're,actually gonna saute some of that onion,and saute some of this garlic fresh,garlic while we're doing the ham steak,and then we'll throw all that in later,this afternoon okay and optional here I,don't like things that are real hot and,spicy but I will add a little chili,powder to taste and I'll add that as I,go today,all right so with that said let's go,ahead and get started one thing I like,to do that anytime I cook anything in a,slow cooker I will go ahead and take,some cooking spray and spray the inside,of this thing when I start okay that is,just gonna make it easier to clean up,later whether I make a spaghetti chili,beans whatever step one is to put a coat,of some sort of cooking spray in there,or I guess you could use butter or,whatever that's what I do now let's go,ahead and just add the beans look at her,you see about how many there is okay,and don't look like you feed a whole lot,of it just wait till later today okay,all right you see how it covered the,bottom here it didn't even hardly cover,all of it and now we're gonna add 8 cups,of water you're gonna notice ooh I mean,that looks like a lot of water for them,a little bit of beans,see how far it filled it up but in a,little while probably four hours into,this thing this those beans are gonna,grow and they're gonna soak up all that,water let's reach down here and flip,sucker on high on the slow-cooked side,and we're gonna cap it off with the lid,here and just a moment let me grab the,lid Oh hold on wait a minute I want to,go ahead and add my salt and pepper I'm,gonna add that right now and then let's,see here what's this thing I got the mix,with right now just kind of stir up a,little bit and we're gonna let that,start cooking okay we're gonna cap it,off and let that start cooking for a,three or four hour and we'll come back,and show you what it looks like hearing,a little bit let me go and put the cap,on it right quick so guys it's just that,easy to get a pot of beans started okay,so we'll come back in a few hours we'll,take a look and then we'll show you how,to add the other stuff later on alright,guys it's been about three or four hi guys it's winter now and it's must to,have soups in chilly winters let's start,with this 15 bean soup recipe,this is a healthy bean soup and you can,see it has a variety of beans in it,this has the large lima beans the red,kidney beans,the black kidney beans and the pinto,beans,and chickpeas and lots of other lentils,in it,if you don't get this pack of 15 bean,soup in your region,you can mix any five beans at least that,you have at home,wash and soak this beans for overnight,or around six,hours the beans should be soaked in,double the quantity of water than the,beans,and this is how it looks after soaking,i am going to use my pressure cooker you,could use instapod or,slow cooker i am starting by adding,coconut oil to this,any oil works but i like the flavor of,coconut oil,when the oil heats up i'll add chopped,onions and saute it until it becomes,slightly transparent,add finely chopped a minced garlic,saute these two well then add some,chunky pieces of tomatoes,i have used three tomatoes one i have,cut it into chunky pieces and rest into,fine pieces,and added all its juices,try to use the juiciest tomatoes here,since this is a vegetarian soup add,whatever veggies you like here i have,taken red bell peppers,and carrots,don't go overboard with the veggies just,add two or three,because there are already lots of greens,in this,add your soaked beans now,i've used two cups of beans here so i,have added five cups of water,you could also go with four cups of,water here if you want a thicker,consistency,add salt to your taste,one teaspoon of cumin powder and half a,teaspoon of red chili powder,now i am going to close the lid and,after this comes to a boil,that is one whistle i am going to simmer,it for 20 minutes,after around 20 minutes it looks like,this the beans are well cooked and some,of them are broken,if you can see in this one i can show,you one more spoon of this,when you see that the some of the beans,are broken and some are firm,that is when you know that it's cooked,i know many of you like thicker soups,for that my trick is to puree some of,this,bean soup in your blender and add it,back to the soup,so that it becomes thicker you can make,it thicker by adding more,beans puree and make it to a consistency,of a vegetarian,chili but i like it this way also i'm,going to keep some of this in the fridge,and it thickens over time,so now it's time to season this let's,serve it in a bowl,and i'm going to season it with lemon,juice and coriander leaves,you could go ahead and also add pepper,if you like it spicy,and oregano give it a thumbs up if you,like this video and subscribe to our,channel,see you guys with more interesting,recipes bye bye

hey friends welcome back to another,whole food wednesday video we're going,to jump right into this with a quick and,easy instant pot recipe,so for today's recipe we're going to be,making a simple dump and go 15 bean soup,now you do have a little prep work,because you want to soak your beans,overnight so you're going to want to,soak these for at least eight hours,overnight and this is going to help,reduce your cook time but most,importantly this is going to make these,beans more,um receptive to the digestive system,because one thing with kidney beans,especially is they're really harsh on,the digestive system so soaking your,beans ahead of time really helps reduce,those kind of issues so we're gonna go,ahead and take our rinsed drained and,soaked beans and dump them right in the,instant pot and then i'm gonna add some,frozen kale but you could use fresh and,then i have a can of petite diced,tomatoes and of course you could use any,kind of diced tomatoes it doesn't matter,fire roasted in this is really delicious,sometimes as well,this recipe is great because it's just,dump and go we're not gonna saute,anything ahead of time or anything like,that we're just gonna toss it all in,there,set it and forget it so then we're gonna,add a large yellow onion,three minced cloves of garlic and of,course as always the full written recipe,will be in the description box below,either written out or a link to my blog,post,and then i have some cumin chili powder,smoked paprika,oregano a bay leaf and some cayenne,pepper you can adjust the cayenne pepper,to your liking whether you want it,hotter or milder,and then we're gonna add some vegetable,broth you can use whatever vegetable,broth you have on hand we're keeping,this sos free,so,i just have some homemade broth,and,i'm also not adding any salt to this,recipe so we want to keep this one super,healthy for our sos free friends so,we're just gonna add all this stuff in,the instant pot and then we're gonna,give it a good mix,now we're going to go ahead and place,the lid on our instant pot and we're,going to set this at high pressure for,12 minutes now if you want a more softer,bean you could do this for 14 to 15,minutes but we do 12 minutes because we,are going to freeze these and warm them,back up for lunches so i just want to,show you here really quickly the cajun,ham beans that i bought you could buy,any of the ham beans but we tossed the,seasoning packet because as you can see,here the ingredients are not easy to,pronounce and it's full of oil so that's,not something you want in your,recipe so we go ahead and just toss that,and use the beans so now i'm going to go,ahead and release my pressure after 12,minutes of natural release so i cooked,it for 12 minutes then i allowed it to,naturally release for 12 minutes and,then i release the pressure i usually,put a rag over the top because it helps,so it's not spewing all over my kitchen,and then it's ready to serve of course,you want to remove that bay leaf,um this recipe is great because it,freezes really well so that's why i like,to do 12 minutes because i freeze them,for my husband's lunches and so when he,warms up the beans don't get overly,mushy or anything like that but like i,said if you're just making it to keep in,the fridge for the week which you can,keep it in the fridge for up to six days,you could cook it for a few extra,minutes in the instant pot if you would,like your beans to be a little softer so,that's it this recipe was super simple,and easy it's super flavorful it's super,nutritious there's no salt no oil,it's all good things i really like,making this sometimes with less broth,and adding it over the top of some,potatoes or some rice it's super,delicious you could add a little brown,rice on the side,and it's just a really great easy,instant pot dump and go meal i hope you,guys enjoyed this recipe and let me know,in the comments down below what you want,to see from me next i have some potato,salad recipes coming from you for you,guys but i love a challenge and so if,there's something you want to see me,make whole food plant-based and oil-free,leave a comment down below don't forget,to like comment subscribe share this,video with your friends and we'll see,you next wednesday with another whole,food plant-based oil-free recipe bye,guys

here's how to make cheap soup in a crock,pot so ham beans is 3.49 at the grocery,store i got the cajun version which is,not too spicy it tastes real good so i,like the seasoning on that one you're,gonna need the juice of half a lemon,you're gonna need crushed tomatoes i'm,using,28 ounces but some people use half that,use the smaller can depends on how much,you love tomatoes two celeries one onion,one red pepper i'm putting jalapeno in,it for extra spice the equivalent of two,carrots all i have is baby carrots so,it'll do a little turmeric a little,pepper a little salt and then somebody's,eight ounces of farmer john uh raw,classic pork sausage and the sausages,are 2.49,so all this stuff combined,is less than 10 bucks so this is cheap,poor people soup if you serve it with,rice you even get more mileage out of it,so,you'll want to rinse the beans a few,times in water before you put them in,the pot um using a strainer and then a,bowl full of water like this is an easy,way to do it see it's dirty down there,so the vegetables look like this i think,a little too oniony but i didn't use the,whole onion that's about three quarters,of an onion and then i also added a,little garlic i forgot to mention,earlier for extra flavor,so all this goes in the pot with the,beans,to cook for seven hours,and i've chopped up the sausages into,little pieces and there's a lot of,grease these are pretty fatty so all of,that gets dumped into the pot,greasy,there we go that's where the secret,flavor comes from,note at this point i have not put the,tomatoes in there those go in at the end,and then i have not put any seasoning in,there either so all of that gets done at,the end also the lemon juice goes in at,the end,so now we add eight cups of water now,this at this point you'll be wishing you,had the big crock pot if yours is a,medium like this one so this barely fits,in here so i might have to short water,it but eight cups of water is what you,want then,mix it up real nice,throw a lid on it,then you're going to want to set it to,the highest setting,and then you wait seven hours,seven hours later it looks like legit,soup,at this point you want a season to taste,does not need a whole lot of salt like,there's,there's enough salt and whatever else we,did to this probably in the sausages but,so we're going to put some turmeric in,there,a little black pepper generic canadian,cajun seasonings,add the maters if they'll fit let's see,if they'll fit,tight fit up we're up to the brim with,tomatoes,and the ingredients call for half a,lemon whatever you reckon half a lemon,is,dump it in there,stir it up and you got dinner,that's it 10 soup,you
