what's up y'all welcome back to face,oven today in face oven we are going to,be making a 15 bean soup have you guys,tried 15 bean soup how do you make your,15 bean soup so uh when the pandemic,first started one of my girlfriends we,went to jersey to go visit them and all,of our kids we just kept saying what is,everybody going to eat so many of us,and so she pulled out her bag of 15 bean,soup she was like let's do two bags and,see what happened it was delightful so,ever since then i get no complaints,what do you say i say,i love 15 bean soup because,it's homemade it's super good,deliciousness yeah and you can add green,onions,so i love green onions i love the egg,right now,and i'm surprised that she actually,liked the green onions in it so i had,green onions on top but anyway this is a,super easy cook all day meal if you like,crock pot a pressure cooker or onto the,stove top is all on you so i cooked mine,on stove top and today i was out all day,and i had my beans cooking on low just,so that i wouldn't burn the house down,you know what i mean but the texture was,amazing and the bean is a little the,beans are amazing and my kids love it so,that's all that matters for the most,part and i love it the most yeah so we,really enjoy 15 bean soup i don't know,how you guys make yours but join me with,fenty bean soup and you guys make it,also don't forget to like subscribe bell,pepper and onion and garlic and celery,so you guys have to stop the press real,quick this bag says cajun 15 bean soup i,had no idea when i bought the bag,and then the other bag says chicken 15,bean soup i just had to stop so that you,guys can see this make sure you get the,same bag because they were the same area,and i grabbed two different bags you,guys they used to just say ham beans,but now,they have all these different flavors,cajun and chicken but anyway just make,sure you guys get the same bag so we're,going to start by chopping our celery i,have four stalks of celery they're kind,of short so,that's all good and then i have one,green bell pepper i chopped the whole,entire bell pepper,and then in between chopping my,vegetables i started my pan on the heat,so i added about two tablespoons of oil,and i put it on low heat or medium low,and then i cut my white onion and i,chopped some garlic now if you guys have,a garlic mincer go ahead and use your,garlic mincer but i just decided to,chop my garlic,all right so to our hot pan we are going,to add the onions the bell pepper and,the celery and we're going to let that,stuff come to a simmer and we're going,to let them cook until they're pretty,much translucent i'm not going to add my,garlic just yet i'm going to give my,vegetables a nice little stir and let,them cook for a little bit i just don't,want my garlic to burn so i didn't add,my garlic yet,i added my garlic at this point and i,continued to stir,everything smells amazing,smells so good i don't know what it is,about bell peppers and onions and garlic,and,ah celery just smells so good,so i went ahead and i added both beans,both bags of beans you guys and then i,added 64 ounces of vegetable broth and,then i added 64 ounces of water so,if you have vegetable broth on hand just,do 8 cups of vegetable broth and 8 cups,of water or just do all water or do all,vegetable broth completely up to you,so i added everything and then i stirred,and i kind of mixed the beans with the,vegetables that we're cooking,so once i add all of my beans and my,water and my vegetables i go ahead and,give it a good stir so this is the vegan,packet the cajun vegan flavor packet and,then i added the chicken vegan flavor,packet i didn't show that on the video,but that's okay you guys i just went on,ahead and i mixed both of them the cajun,with the chicken and guess what it came,out amazing i'm so glad it did because i,was like let me just test this then i,added a tablespoon of salt ah pink,himalayan salt i let my beans come to a,boil,and then i stir just a little bit more,and then i turned my heat all the way,down because just like i said you guys i,was gone for the day for about,maybe five hours i turned my heat all,the way down on low and i let my beans,cook for that time and,they came out beautiful,you guys i have to stress that it does,not take that long for beans to cook it,usually takes about two hours two and a,half hours but like i said i turned the,heat all the way down because i just,wanted them to,cook while i was gone then i made myself,some rice if you guys need a rice recipe,the easiest rice ever to always get,perfect rice my viewers have requested more soup,recipes and here you go,i'm tess and tonight i will show you how,to make a 15 bean italian soup,trust me this soup will be one of your,favorites,since the weather has been so cold i,thought i would share another homemade,comforting soup recipe,you probably have seen these bags of 15,different beans in the store and wonder,what you can make and i will show you,how to make a delicious soup,you can make this in the crock pot or,instant pot but tonight i'm going old,school and using the stove top this 15,bean italian soup does take a little,time to cook but trust me it's worth the,time,in my soup pot on medium high heat i'm,adding in 1 tablespoon of olive oil and,1 pound of sweet italian sausage,cooking and chopping for a minute and,then i'm adding in half a pound of,ground beef,the combo of meats really add some,flavor cooking and chopping until fine,and no longer pink,now i'm adding in 1 cup of diced onion,2 stalks of diced celery,two diced carrots,and a pinch of salt and a quarter,teaspoon of black pepper,i'm not adding much salt right now,because the beans will tend to remain,tough if you add too much salt or,acidity,cooking and stirring for two to three,minutes,adding in four cloves of minced garlic,and two cups of diced cabbage,stirring to incorporate,i rinsed and drained the beans and i'm,adding to the pot,this is eight cups of homemade chicken,broth if you're using boxed or canned,chicken broth make sure that you choose,the low sodium or no sodium,stirring and turning up my heat to bring,this up to a simmer,to boost the flavor i have one teaspoon,of chicken bouillon,two bay leaves,a pinch of red pepper flakes,and a quarter teaspoon each of thyme and,oregano,and a teaspoon of parsley,giving that a good stir bringing up to a,low simmer covering and cooking for one,and a half hours occasionally stirring,it's been one and a half hours and now,i'm adding in one 28 ounce can of diced,tomatoes,and one cup of diced bell pepper,turning my heat up once again to bring,this to a simmer,i'm tasting for any seasonings and i'm,adding in a quarter teaspoon each of,black pepper thyme oregano and some,garlic powder,bringing this to a low simmer covering,and cooking for an additional 30 to 45,minutes or until the beans are tender,the soup is just about done and finally,i'm adding in a quarter cup of fresh,chopped parsley and stirring for a,little freshness,the soup is done and ready to eat let me,fix you a bowl,this 15 bean italian soup recipe is so,good and hearty i love all the flavors,and textures my family requested this,soup on the menu on a regular basis,the only thing i would add to the soup,would be a parmesan cheese rind i think,it would add another depth of flavor,garnishing with a little more parsley,and serving with a piece of buttered,black russian bread,this 15 bean italian soup is a meal in,itself,trust me you are going to love this soup,give it a try and enjoy,if you like this video recipe please hit,the like and subscribe button remember,to hit the bell next to the subscribe to,make sure that you get my future video,recipes,you can also find me on facebook and at,my website,feel free to share this recipe and my,channel with your friends and family and,until next time much love,you

oh my goodness y'all this is a season,that everybody's coming in and visiting,with you and you know I've talked about,one-pot males that you needed to have,ready for all your guests and we've,talked about spaghetti sauce which I,showed you how to do that we've talked,about a big pot of chili which we have,done that and we've done other things,it's a one pot meal like chicken and,dumplings to me that's a one pot meal I,mean you know you got everything in it,you need but today we're going to do,something different and I've shown y'all,this before,um if you make some 15 bean soup,it makes a huge pot you could add all,the stuff you want to add to it this was,one of George's very favorite things if,we had 15 bean soup and um,cornbread I had a happy husband,and as a matter of fact I've talked to,heart doctors before when they said you,need to eat at least dry beans,uh was awake now I they told us that,George had heart problems and so I know,about the dry beans once a week and so,you know you change it around like this,time you could this is just uh plain old,15 bean soup and it's got your little,flavor packet in it but I always add,other stuff and I'm going to show you,how to do that but you could get uh this,kind,if y'all like the cable you could get,the Cajun bean soup and the difference,is the beans are the same,see they but the seasoning is different,the little packet in here is different,okay or you can have split tea one day,uh and this one's got let me see what,flavor it's got It's got the ham ham,flavor or if you had a ham Bowl you,could just put that in there too and,here's my favorite of all I love these,um these are navy beans,and these are great Northerners these,are great Northerners but navy beans,look just like them except they're,smaller and so,anyway today we're going to cook just a,regular 15 bean soup and here here's all,you do there's just nothing to it but it,does take a while to cook so when you,get up and you have your biscuits and,whatever in the morning you need to go,ahead and put your soup on so let me,push you back over here and show you,what I'm gonna do,I'm just going to open these up now a,lot of y'all wash your beans and that is,perfectly all right if you do I don't,now if you don't like the way I do it,you get over there with your calendar,and you wash your beans oh you want to,look how pretty that is,see that it's got all kinds in it,there used to be a craft that everybody,did with this,and it was a,they made a rooster and every feather,that came out of the rooster was a,different bean and it was beautiful that,was back in the I think that's like back,in the 50s or 60s they did this here's,your package,so there's your little your little,flavor packet,for your bean soup okay I'm gonna,sprinkle this in,and here's what I do with mine I put one,can off Tomatoes I like tomatoes in mine,and George did too you don't have to do,it but I like to do it so I'm gonna put,one can of diced tomatoes in there,you could put the kind it's got the,peppers in it if you wanted to I'm gonna,put one can of tomato sauce,and now I'm going to uh do the by,another part and then we're gonna,all right so here's what I do I turn my,Skillet on high and I'm and I'm gonna,put a pound of sausage and I put link,sausage in mine this is your heel top,link sausage and that's what I'm gonna,put in mine,and what I do is I cut them in circles,so see this is a one drop meal you've,got your sausage,or what is your bait you got your beans,which is high protein good for you and,I'm just going to cut these really,quickly in little circles like this,these are the baby links right here you,can get the big kind of if you want to,whatever y'all want whatever you like,darling whatever you like,but George and I love this and what I,usually do with this is um I usually,make a little pan of cornbread to go,with mine so we have for supper 15 bean,soup and cornbread and what else nothing,but a little something to drink and,that's it okay all right here we go I'm,gonna put these on,that,we're gonna fry them up I'm not gonna,fry them hard I just want to fry them a,little to get a little a little bit on,the outside of them now I always put an,onion in mine if you don't want to you,don't have to but I love the flavor of,the onion and I'm going to saute it and,uh with my,um,sausage,that's what I'm gonna do,I'm gonna do it,now these like I say it takes a while to,cook so what you want to do is bring,them to a bowl,then turn them down I'm gonna put water,all over that and as they're cooking,when they turn down and as they're,cooking they're going to absorb y'all,this is important they're going to,absorb the water that's in the bean okay,you are gonna have to put some more,water in it,because what we put in additionally will,not be enough,those dry beans just absorb that water,right up,okay let me cut us some little squares,here we're going to throw those in with,our sausages and we're going to saute,them,and then we're going to put them in o

hi foodies well while lasagna,is a fantastic leftover i think all,italian food is better the next day,i thought that this 15 bean soup which,is what you're probably familiar with,i make a 16 bean soup would be perfect,for this snowy,afternoon evening and because i did,lasagna i'm kind of lazy today so i want,to utilize my instant pot which is,pretty much,it does all the work for me only thing i,had to do was prep look at those,beautiful beans i've rinsed them,cleaned them i've got some diced tomato,i'm going to be using four cups of water,and four cups of veggie broth,uh this can be vegetarian if you wanted,to be definitely utilize some of the,celery leaves with the chopped celery,if you've never had celery leaves on a,on a lobster roll,you've not lived but you can cook with,those and it adds a delicious flavor,we've got some turkey smoked sausage,because my cardiologist would be happy,with that a,some diced red pepper oh boy i'm going,too fast onion carrot,we got red pepper flakes bay leaf and,thyme some tomato bouillon,salt and pepper and lemon juice from a,fresh,lemon about 2 3 cup i trust me,on that you cannot omit that plus some,fresh parsley,i try to make these fast for you guys,but man i'm i'm way ahead of myself so,now i um i got the instant pot on saute,and i put in some oil you can use,whatever cooking oil you want,and i'm adding all of my veggies except,the garlic and the parsley,and i'm gonna saute these until they're,softer,about two or three minutes or so once,they,are softer then i'm going to go ahead,and add my garlic,saute it for another 30 seconds or so,and then i'm going to go ahead and add,the smoked turkey sausage you could,of course can use regular smoked sausage,you could even use ham,and that other uh brand the 15 bean,comes with that ham,packet seasoning i throw that away it's,awful but,okay if you want to you can use it so,i'm putting in the spices the red pepper,flake the,bouillon the bay leaf and the thyme i,already put in the salt and the pepper,now i'm just stirring that up i've,turned off the saute function,uh it's still hot obviously but now at,this point you want to turn that off and,i'm adding in my beans,and then i'm going to add in the water,and the broth you can use all broth,but you can use all water uh it's,entirely up to you i just didn't have,enough of the veggie broth so i did a,half and half and it does not affect the,flavor this soup is so flavorful,it is so good you guys you have to try,it like it is fantastic,and i've had the traditional 15 bean,soup that they the recipe on the back,no it's okay this,is fabulous i would not lead you wrong,on this,so now obviously i'm just stirring,everything up i'm going to,put the lid on make sure my instant pot,is sealed,and i'm going to do a manual cook,manual pressure for about 45 minutes,this is why you do not have to pre-soak,or pre-boil your beans the pressure,cooker does that for you,it is such a time saver you don't even,have to worry about beans anymore if you,have an instant pot,i'm so in love with it so now it's,been 45 minutes i let it come down to,a natural release for about 30 because i,got busy,but you can you know lift it up after 45,minutes or you can do what i did,and just let it natural release it it,only adds more dimension and flavor,at this point now i'm putting in the,parsley uh,and that's to taste and the lemon juice,the fresh,lemon juice you guys honestly this it,elevates it it won't be the same if you,don't put that lemon juice in,and the diced tomatoes and i think the,reason that when you wait on that it has,something to do with the physics of the,beans and the acid,and the tomatoes and the lemon juice so,now i'm resetting it to,the saute setting for,about another 10 minutes or so because i,want the flavors to sort of simmer,together so,basically it's like being on the stove,for another 10 minutes,and letting those flavors of the,tomatoes and the lemon,and the parsley,start to infuse the soup oh man you guys,you have no idea how good this is,so now um it's doing its thing,it is definitely starting to simmer,and now we're getting ready to serve it,up,and boy is it fabulous so here we go,a big bowl and you can you know put some,little tabasco on there you can garnish,this however you'd like,we're just doing traditional like soup,oyster crackers,um which is so yummy and we ate,both between us we both ate like three,bowls,honestly each i have like one bowl left,for lunch today,gotta try it get you an instant pot for,real

the secret to my recipe is i make my own,ham,stock for my ham bone now if you want to,see the video and how i made that,there'll be a link at the end of this,video and if you remember in that video,if you make your own hand bone stock,you're going to want to take the ham out,because we don't want to cook all the,flavor,out of that ham and we're going to add,these back to,the soup when it's done the second,secret to my 15 bean soup is i don't,over soak the beans,eight hours is maximum we're going to,start by sauteing our vegetables i like,to use grapeseed oil,because it doesn't add a lot of flavor,to the,actual finished dish we're going to add,our diced onion,celery carrots,mirepoix in it for an extra little added,flavor i'm going to add a little bit of,some diced leek,now we're going to let them sit for a,couple of minutes to caramelize and get,some nice color and flavor on there,now that we have some color on our,vegetables let's go ahead and add our,garlic,and our tomato paste,now it's very important to cook this,tomato paste down for at least two,minutes,because you want to get that metal,tasting flavor out of it,much richer flavor boy that's looking,and smelling great,next we're going to add our dried basil,and thyme,we're going to give that a little saute,here,then we're going to add our drained,beans,then we'll saute them up to give them,some flavor for about maybe a minute,then we'll add our stock,now this stock was really reduced so,it's concentrated so i'm going to add,about another,cup and a half to two cups of water,now that we've got a little bit of a,simmer going right now we're gonna lower,the heat to its lowest setting,pop on that lid and leave the vent so we,can breathe a little,and we'll cook it for one and a half to,two hours by the way a special shout out,to lavino p in italy as our first,member on our channel welcome lavino p,glad to have you,so in the meantime while this thing,cooks down i'm gonna have a little bit,of wine,and we'll be right back boy after an,hour and a half,the house smells fantastic and we,stirred this,a few times during that cooking process,and it is looking phenomenal now we're,going to take our,ham pieces that we saved out of the,fridge and get them back into the pot,we're going to add in two cans 15 ounce,size,of our tomatoes and as a special layer,for flavor,and texture we're going to add some,fresh spinach,this is going to wilt down in only a few,minutes,and we'll taste we haven't added any,salt,so we may have to add some,just a little bit not much maybe a,teaspoon,we're going to top with some sliced,green onion tops,green part thinly sliced,as a garnish and some shaved parmesan,cheese,hey thanks for cooking with me today,you're always welcome in my kitchen,please consider becoming an insider who,is one of our members and as always,thanks for watching

hey everybody it's me again I'm making,you a 15 bean soup,it's like 15 different beans black-eyed,peas lima beans red beans black beans,all kind of beans and I cooked them for,like an hour and a half with smoked,turkey leg or smoked turkey wing or mmm,or smoked turkey thigh whatever you have,smoked turkey is good and then I add,onions white onions red onions or,whatever you have I add chicken broth,that's mine,it's awesome I add black pepper seasoned,salt turmeric and that's it so I have my,15 beans I soak them overnight they're,ready to go in the lot and as I said it,will take an hour and a half possibly to,cook them but you know when they're done,because you squeeze them to the side and,if they burst they're done I also forgot,to tell you before I added the beans,with that little order I had two cups,additional and the pot before I put them,in,so now I'm gonna put the smoked turkey,in now smoked turkey either was already,smoked that means it's already done so I,just put it in for flavor and let it,cook for that hour and a half whatever,it is and then I'll add the onions have,them on this awesome cooking board and I,have flavors like chicken broth this,really makes it nice whenever I make the,beans people come from miles around to,get these paddy beans because they're,all that in a bag of chips so that's,enough of that and I have black pepper,it's heavy coarse pepper and I also use,cayenne pepper and habanero peppers and,jalapenos if I want it because I like it,most people don't but I do but I don't,put them in because they can't take it,and I had a little bit of seasoned salt,and I also add turmeric it's good for,your digestion and it's beautiful that's,enough,so now I'm gonna put the top on and let,them cook for an hour and a half but,every 15 minutes look in the pot and,make sure it's still enough water,because being spread and all the starch,comes out and if you don't add water you,want to have some burnt beans so check,it every 15 minutes okay,okay the beans are done and beautiful,and they taste even better I wish you,could smell it but you can't but I'm,gonna garnish it with pepper egg on top,whichever way you want to pronounce it I,call it pepper Rica and it's not spicy,when people see red it gets scared and,scallions to make it really pretty on,the top I'll use my hands and their,onions inside also but this makes it,better and this is parsley flips a,little green on my food and in my pocket,so mix it up there you go it's done only,in an hour in a few minutes our in 10,minutes and it's so much smoked turkey,inside and like I said the onions and,the chicken flavor and it's all good and,it's all ready bye

hello everybody welcome to joyfully ever,after home with Venus Maison theists in,today's video I'm going to be making 15,bean soup here are the beans and I will,list all of the beans that are in this,they come in a packet so you don't have,to go around and try to gather them all,but I will let you know later in the,video which beans are in here now the,ingredients that are going to season the,beans are garlic and fortunately I,already had some minced and chopped up,vegetables this is celery and onions and,shallot and carrots and red and green,bell peppers so I don't have to do that,cutting because I did it for another,meal and it already had some left over,we are also going to have some sea salt,black pepper dried thyme dried rosemary,and one bay leaf,I have a just 1/2 of a shallot and a,very small red onion left over just kind,of sitting around and about to go bad so,I will go on and chop those up and put,those in the meal as well for the,seasoning meat I have one smoked turkey,leg that's what's going to go into it,now these are the drag beans this is,what they look like before they start to,soak but I have been soaking them now,you can do two methods you can do the,overnight soak method or you can do the,quick method which is where you clean,the beans and then you boil them and let,it sit for an hour I'm kind of doing a,semi of both because I clean the beans,and then I put the rinse them off real,well and picked out all the bad ones and,then I put them in a soak and you can,see how some of the holes are already,floating and if you look at the,difference between the size and these,beans and these dried ones you can see,there's quite a difference and plus the,water is a little muddy muddy not,meaning dirt just muddy from debris that,has come off the beans so of course I'm,going to be rinsing them again so those,are the steps we're going to use right,now and I'll be right back with the,second step,okay so I've rinsed the beans off and,now I've transferred them to a pot of,boiling water I'm gonna let the water,come up to a rapid boil and then I am,going to let them boil for just a few,minutes at that rapid boil temperature,and then I'm going to lower the,temperature on the heat and cover them,and let them simmer at a very low,temperature for about an hour after that,I'm going to just transfer them with all,those goodies that I showed you earlier,into my slow cooker I'm gonna let the,slow cooker do the work because I don't,want to stand over a pot stirring and,checking and so forth because beans can,go dry I am notorious for burning the,beans so I'm gonna let the slow cooker,do the work,well I have a whole hour to kill so I,might as well put it to good use,okay in gold the beans in my slow cooker,now they have done their quick soak and,I'd already oops I cooked that last,segment off a little bit quicker than I,meant to I was just going to say that I,had already added the vegetables and the,seasonings with the turkey legs and,actually I decided to go ahead and cook,a second turkey leg so they're just,going to summer now they just kind of,hang out in the pan or the pot rather,and I'm gonna go do some other things,I always go in the wrong direction okay,I'm just gonna put these for about two,hours and I'll go do something else,I've removed the turkey drumsticks from,the soup mixture because I don't want,all of the flavor from the meat to cook,out of the meat while it's simmering,along with the beans I want a little,more of the liquid to cook down out of,the soup I don't want it to be so,liquidy and but at the same time I don't,want the meat to just get to the point,where it doesn't have any more taste so,I took it out took the drumsticks,actually had two drumsticks and I,started out with one but I added a,second one I took the drumsticks out,after the beans started cooking down and,softening and I cut the meat from the,bones and I will add it back in after,the liquid cooks out a little bit more,okay we've got the 15 bean soup going,here I've added the meat and I'm going,to take out this bayleaf give everything,a really nice stir and we have got,ourselves a delicious 15 bean soup I'm,just gonna add some sides I think I'll,have some stewed okra and some cornbread,mmm good eat and here you have the,finished results here's my delicious 15,bean soup and has a little side I have,some stewed okra and myself I'm gonna,have some zucchini bread and my husband,is gonna have cornbread to go with it,thank you for watching be blessed and,stay safe this is Venus
