hey 'preebs nation Jordan page with fun,cheaper free calm here and today I'm,giving you a look inside my recipe oh,yeah if you've been here for longer than,like 2.3 seconds you know that I'm all,about cooking and the grocery shopping,and feeding your family affordably I,actually hate to cook but I do it,because it saves my family so much money,that's a good example for my kids and it,allows us to spend our hard-earned money,on things that I'd rather spend money on,so how do you cook for your family,regularly affordably and simply well one,of my biggest secrets is a recipe,notebook and I'm gonna show you all,about it why you need one how to do it,and I might even share a few of my,favorite recipes with you alright let's,go do it do you find that making dinner,is kind of like the worst thing ever,girl I'm with you I feel that I,absolutely hate coming up with what to,make for dinner I hate it I feel like,sometimes when it's 4:30 and my family's,starving I will just like run to,Pinterest for the internet or apps or,whatever and I'm just scrolling and,scrolling and something looks good but,then I don't have all the ingredients or,something looks easy but I feel like we,eat it all the time and I just get,stumped and then it's tempting to just,go get a $5 pizza and call it a day so,this all started when Bubba and I were,newlyweds I started a recipe binder and,it has been such a saving grace ever,since think of it kind of like remember,those old-school recipe cards that your,grandma had and your mom had and they,would sort through them and pick out,their favorite recipe and make dinner,well times have changed and we don't,really write down our recipes on recipe,cards anymore what happens when you make,a recipe that is fantastic your family,loves it it's quick and easy and a few,weeks later you want to go make that,recipe and you can't remember what it's,called you can't remember what webs,you found it on you can't remember what,ingredients you need it and it just gets,frustrating well our recipe binder saves,the day let me tell you how it works and,then I'm gonna give you an in-depth look,at mine the concept is simple anytime,you cook from a recipe you print it out,or you photocopy it and you put it in a,binder very simple right let me show you,why this is important as you can see,here I might need a little bit of a,cookbook order I love that I do like,finding my recipes on the internet but,the reality is I also love a good,printed recipe in a book that I love,Terk you rainbow so sure it's easy when,you're cooking the recipe from the web,to print it out but what about all these,cookbooks there might be some amazing,stroganoff recipe that you want to make,and you don't know what book it's in you,don't know where it's at so even though,I have my cookbooks here even though,some of them I do feel like I know like,the back of my hand even these go in the,recipe binder when I want to cook a,recipe from a cookbook then I open it up,and I cook it straight from the cookbook,when I'm done I write my notes directly,in the book but then I print off the,recipe and it goes in my binder which is,essentially a collection of all my,family tried-and-true favorites that we,all like and enjoy and the kids are,coming in and getting really loud mmm,I have to show you guys this cool little,gadget that I love so much this is what,I use when I cook a recipe whether it's,printed out or from a cookbook this one,specifically is from I actually don't,know where it's from but I will try to,find the closest thing I can on the web,but what's nice is its glass it's super,heavy and weighted so that when I'm,cooking from a cookbook it actually,holds the pages open though I'm not,doing that weird awkward flip thing,while I'm trying to cook,ignore all the kids in the background,welcome to the page household you've,tried a recipe whether from the web or,from a favorite cookbook you love it,made notes about it so now that's where,the recipe binder comes in you print it,out or you photocopy it and you keep it,in this binder so that when it's a busy,night or you're planning out your meals,for the week you have all your,tried-and-true favorite recipes in one,place let me show you the inside of mine,and how I organized it and how I do it,morning it is not pretty I've had this,bad boy for a very long time and these,recipes are well-loved so don't judge,first of all the notebook I have so many,cute notebooks that I have found on,Amazon I will link those below but this,is one that I just picked up a target,forever ago so just make sure it's cute,the only other things you really need,for inside the binder are clear page,protectors and divider tabs and I highly,recommend going plastic on everything,don't use paper tabs trust me,this is gonna get well-loved also your,cooking so your hands are gonna be gross,and you're gonna be flipping through,stuff and you don't want to ruin the,pages the next thing you want to do is,divide your recipe binder based on what,makes

hey guys it's me valerie the crafty val,girl,i was just sitting here at my desk and i,was making some,recipe cards so i just thought i'd bring,you along,show you how i make them i've just um,i do the both three by five and the four,by six today i'm going to do four by six,recipe cards,all i've done is i've taken some,cardstock and cut it down to four by six,or you can buy them at this size too i,believe so,and you can use white ones you don't you,have to use colored ones but i'm going,to use um,coordinating washi tape with these,this is what we're going to make this,one was fairly easy,we're just gonna put some washi tape,across the top and then we'll do this,one,a little more distressed and i have some,lines a line stamp that i'll put on here,if you don't have a line stamp you can,use a piece of,corrugated cardboard and use as your,stamp for the lines,or you can pencil your lines in or,just purchase lined paper and do it that,way too,or you could decoupage on a piece of,lined paper however you want to do it,okay so here we go,all right,i hope you guys enjoyed these videos,those are kind of fun for me to make,it kind of keeps me trying to keep my,creative juices going a little bit i,guess,i like washi tape it's you can use it,for,so many different things and i like this,because it just,dresses up plain old index,card,now sometimes your washi tape don't want,to stick very well,that happens just take your glue,and just dab a little glue underneath it,and that will help,it stick,i'm using archival ink it's a more,permanent ink,and i like this stamp because it's not,it gives kind of a vintage lined look,it's not a very,solid line i'm gonna leave a little,space at the top for the,recipe name,give that a good press leave it on there,a second for all the ink,to absorb into the paper,okay i'm going to distress this one,like the distressed look of things,i don't know it just makes it look like,it has a story to tell,makes it look older,just as easy as that y'all,look how cute i love that,this one i think i'm going to put just,feathers across the top,where's the edge there it is,this one because the tape is more narrow,i'm gonna leave just,a little bit of space,on the top i'm gonna run the,tape all the way to the edge,just gives it just a slightly different,look you want to run it to the edge,run it to the edge,you don't have to put lines on your,recipe cards,if you don't want to i'm not very good,at writing in a straight line some,people are fantastic at that,i'm not one of them i wish i were,because it leaves a nice clean,look to the paper when there's no lines,on it but,i'm going for the lines because i just,do much better with them,and this one i'm not going to distress,i'm just going to kind of leave it it's,original color and i'll show you both of,them next to each other to kind of show,you the difference in what,this the difference of what the,distressing does to the paper,okay so there's a little recipe card,and here's our distressed one,okay yay,all right as easy as that let's,just kind of piddle and we'll do one or,two more,here let's see what color washi tape do,i want,oh let's use this one this one's got a,little of the teal in it,i think this one i'm going to put down,each side,or do i want to do the top and bottom i,think i'm going to do top and bottom,just a little bitty bitty bit,of the paper showing below it,okay,and you can put stickers,on your recipe cards if you have,the um you know the words,recipe or ingredients and stamps or if,you have the,letter stamps and you can spell them out,that would be kind of another fun idea,that you could,do let's see well those lines fit in,between i believe they will,there we go how fun is that,give it a try you guys bye

Woodworking: How to build 3 different kinds of recipe card boxes

hey folks welcome to fisher shop today,i'm going to be building three different,recipe boxes using three different kinds,of hardwood three different kinds of,joinery techniques and implementing,three different kinds of accents for,each one so it can be a really big,project so i'm going to need to get,right into it but stay tuned because at,the end i want you to vote for your,favorite ones alright let's start it,here by rough drawn plans and,measurements the first two boxes I'll be,making will be for the four by six,recipe cards the measurements for the,box is going to have miter joints is,pretty straightforward I'll use a,half-inch material and leave 1/8 inch,play for the cards and another eighth,inch for the saw kerf when to cut the,Box open when considering the half lap,joints as sidewalls must be a quarter,inch narrower on the front and back edge,since they'll be fitting into the rabbet,so to make up for this I add another,half inch for the three by five cards,you'll see that the measurements are,just scaled down by one inch and with,finger joints the sides must be wide,enough to span the total depth of the,box so with half inch material means,added in another inch let's go pick out,some wood so the three woods that I,chose to go with our mahogany oak and,poplar so with the mahogany I'll use,that to make the box with the mitered,edges and oak is going to be used for,the half lap,and popular will be December jokes so,here I am,first planing all these boards down,smooth and flash and getting them down,to the desired thickness which in this,case is going to be 1/2 inch so as you,can imagine it takes quite a while,getting a 3/4 inch piece of stock all,the way down to half-inch running it,through the planer but it was my only,option I managed to fill up a couple of,these buckets with shavings,but thank God for dust collection so,checking the boards with the calipers,every few passes through I was able to,get them all down to pretty close to a,half inch at least you know within a few,thousandths of an inch and for this,purpose that was that's just fine but,once they were all at the desired,thickness then I was able to take him,over to the jointer and flatten one of,the edges and want with one of the edges,flat then I can cut them easily on the,table saw here what I'm doing is I'm,actually feeling for the snipe on the,boards and trimming that off on the,miter saw so that that would not be,shown early this night wouldn't show up,in the finished product so setting my,table saw fence to the desired width and,trimming off the excess from the boards,getting them to exactly where they need,to be and once we trim up all three of,the types of boards then we can move on,to the next step,and that next step here is cutting the,sides and the fronts and the backs and I,thought the easiest way to do that we,would just be using a stop block on my,crosscut sled and some of the cuts,gotten a little bit tiny bit so starting,with a poplar I'm setting up the finger,joint jig right now so getting the,appropriate height and depth set up on,the saw blade so it's at the right,height using that little key I can,offset one of the board's 1/8 inch width,of the curve and then just and I stepped,the board's over the top of that other,little stationary key on the jig and you,can cut any integer pretty easy make,snap break together and it's always nice,when it fits perfectly in this case it,was a little tight so once I had that,concept proven I went ahead and,continued cutting all the finger joints,for all the rest of the sides from the,back and left and right side,gluing them up can be kind of a,challenge I figured I was going to try,just doing them all at once so it is,kind of important to get all that glue,inside of there but managed to do that,and you get that clamped up and move,down to the oak box so here I am cutting,the fronts and the sides and the backs,and since they're both the four by six,boxes I figured well let's just do the,mahogany one too so I'm only setting my,stop block of Fonz the mahogany one's,going to be mitered so here I am setting,the table saw blade to exactly 45 and,get it there it is and cutting the,miters,so here it is with the back at 90,degrees and I'm cutting the lap joint on,the oak panels and I just did that by,adjusting the defense here's my little,shot buddy little puppy cameo at this,point I'm using the crosscut sled to cut,the rabbits in both of the mahogany and,the oak boxes so that we can drop in the,tops and the bottoms I did the poplar,one a little bit different so I only did,this on the two four by six boxes but,once those are cut then it was time to,start gluing them up gluing up the half,flat box was actually really easy it,tended to stay true and square all on,its own so really only you have to clamp,it in one direction so just through four,clamps on it and call it good and it was,perfectly square the mitered one however,it was a little bit more difficult as,you would imagine it kind of wants to,

hello everyone thanks for joining me,today with stamping with loretta today,i'm bringing you a,recipe card i use this recipe book that,i bought,from a thrift store,and i am now cutting my pieces for the,actual,recipe cards they measure four by six,inches each consecutive layer is a,quarter inch smaller than the one before,it just like with the card i made,yesterday,i'm also using some rubber stamps i,should say some polymer stamps from,um,who are these from,paper smooches,and i use my momento tuxedo black ink,to,stamp those here you see me layering up,the card pieces and getting everything,ready to go,and later you'll see me actually use,some of those scraps on your right hand,side,on my actual cards once i cut those out,i sponge the edges with some distress,ink,and a rusty hinge this is from ranger,incorporated it is a tim holtz,product,i am,now going to stamp a small glove onto,the recipe card as you saw,these recipe cards were fairly easy to,put together since i cheated somewhat by,using an old recipe book that i already,had,and cutting those down to size to fit my,recipe cards i do choose recipe cards,that i know are going to fit on my,four by six platform or in this case,they're three and a half by,five and a half,by time you get to the third layer and,each recipe,recipe itself is different sized only,because of the way that they were,printed this particular book was not,printed on both sides so the recipes,themselves were only on one side of the,paper which made it very convenient for,me as i was putting them together,as i knew that the,there was no printing on the opposite,side that was going to show through,now,these stamps are brand new and they did,take a little bit to get them inked up,the way that i want them,and i had to stamp them off several,times before i knew i'd get the,saturation that i wanted and then i,stamped those to the front of the cards,of course,in between stampings i always clean my,stamps with baby wipes and then i placed,them back on their storage sheets,here i needed one more card so i'm going,ahead and getting all those layers,together,so that i can,make that recipe card,this was a very fun project,it doesn't take long and these recipes,are absolutely yummy some i have tried,some i have copied off or taken pictures,of to try at a later time,now i did decide to,make a individual lie sleeve if you will,for my recipe cards to go in,and you will see that later on here you,see me punching some tabs for my recipe,cards i am going to be using,my good old-fashioned,labeler mine's from dynamo,it is just like the old-fashioned ones,it just basically embosses the letters,onto tape and then you cut those out and,i place them onto the tabs and then of,course the tabs go directly onto my,recipe cards,it makes for a very nice finished,product and it shows that you took the,time to hand make something yourself,which i highly recommend so here you see,me i'm getting ready to make the um,actual envelopes i'm using my,we r memory keepers uh envelope punch,board you've all seen these boards uh,previously and,they are wonderful to work with,the,paper i should have actually cut that,just maybe an eighth to a half inch,bigger than i did to accommodate the two,bulky cards with all their layers but in,the end it did turn out,i'm going to get this envelope folded up,and i'm going to use my score tape to,fasten those two flaps down after i do,that i'm going to take the top and cut,it off,now what you're going to see is i'm,going to use the same punch that i used,on the cards for the tabs,and i'm going to cut that in the middle,so that when you look at the envelope,whether you're looking at it from the,front or the back you basically have a,finger hold to be able to get those,recipe cards out of i'm making sure the,recipe cards fit and they do it was it's,still kind of a tight fit but when you,take those cards in and out a few times,it will loosen up over time,here you see me making a belly band for,that envelope it was pretty much quick,and easy,to personalize that belly band i put the,recipient's name,on actually on the bottom of the,envelope the belly band i just,personalized by using scraps of paper,that i had on my desk from making the,actual recipe cards themselves put my,recipe cards,turn those two squares on their side one,measures two and a half the other one,measures two and a quarter and here you,see the pictures of the finished,products and they came out super,terrific i'm very proud of how they came,out i hope that you will give this a try,recipe cards are great gifts and stamp,happy please always be a blessing to,someone else,i appreciate you joining me today let me,know what you think of the new overhead,format and voiceovers take care everyone,see you soon goodbye

Designing a Recipe Card.

hey friends it's Melinda sense here with,Melinda Sims art here with another video,about digital drawing but this time we,are going to be making recipe cards so I,hope you enjoy in a hook that your safe,and well during this time here we go,alrighty so I have decided to use some,photographs that my husband had taken,for my Instagram I made the strawberry,cream cheese muffins from a recipe I,found on YouTube just added the,strawberries into the muffin mix / cake,mix and into the cream cheese filling,that's in the center there so good so I,just wanted to trace around the outlines,almost in sort of a contour sort of way,so you've got like the form of it so,they don't look super flat but also,they're not so highly detailed or,realistic that it takes away from the,actual legibility of the rest of the,recipe card and it's not too distracting,that would be Herman I always think of,like a light pink when I think of baked,goods with strawberry flavor,along the way you're gonna see me read,you a lot of lines I tried to edit most,of this out but you'll see prime example,me practicing some hand lettering that I,learned from my friend and not being,satisfied with it or not liking it that,much so there was any of it this takes a,hot minute if anybody has any tips and,tricks for a digital lettering that,would be amazing I know a little bit,about typography but when it comes to,like making my own fonts and things like,that is just really daunting and,somewhat frustrating as you can tell and,you are probably getting just as,frustrated I promise this is the longest,part of the video I feel like we're,almost there just just one more letter,Melinda okay anyway so these are,strawberry cream cheese muffins you,could honestly probably do you like,great blueberry cream cheese muffins,trying to think of what else whatever,at this point I'm just trying to group,them because I've learned the quicker,you group things the easier it's going,to be on digital artwork you know we're,gonna start putting the ingredients list,and originally I decided to try and put,the steps and ingredients all on one,side and I like to play around with,different ways to add emphasis to,different banners so you'll see here I,also like this sort of wonky quirky like,handwritten look to things I just feel,like it has more of a personal touch to,it if you wanted something that was a,little bit more official looking or I,don't know what the right word would be,if you wanted something more,professional-looking,or more like business maybe this is more,business casual hitting writing I don't,know you can always type in a font,there's different settings that you can,use an affinity designer that helps you,do that okay so I don't want to erase,the recipe but I realized that I wanted,to put the steps on the back of a card,in the size of the card I think it's,gonna be 8 inches by 6 inches I was,about to say 8 feet,holy moly so that way it's like nice and,large and legible but it's not so,massive that you have to keep it in like,an 8 and a half by 11 massive recipe,book you could just have it in a little,card look through it I think I'm gonna,make a whole collection of these and who,knows maybe I'll start selling them or,something so keep your eyes peeled for,that I will tell you um for those of you,guys who do write at an angle that like,the panning is my favorite feature on a,Wacom tablet um we can pan because I,literally will tilt my tablet downward,to the left I guess is the best way to,describe that anyway buddy yeah,so we've got most of these and then I've,decided to do the cake in the filling,ingredients on one side already said,that roll,can you tell I'm hungry my seventh row,okay so I made sure to indicate like,with two strawberries things that I,added in that weren't a part of the,original recipe I think I got the,original recipe from the YouTube channel,called apron and it's not any voiceover,it's just a video with a bunch of,directions and I think it might be ASMR,I'm not really sure but it takes a while,to get through the whole recipe which is,kind of cool for people who are into,that sort of thing if not you can just,fast-forward through it and find what,ingredients you need where or you can,just use this recipe card as reference,adjusting and adjusting and adjusting,you will notice that I eventually just,give you the other side of the recipe,card and I don't fill it in because I,figured you've seen me write the first,side but you may not want the second,side so with that said I will probably,post an updated version of it in one of,my next videos so that way you can see,the end result of it without the,time-lapse just a picture of it for,those of you that care about them,I felt like it was a little emptier it,just kind of looked like a handwritten,note instead of a recipe card so I,wanted to make it a little bit more,cutesy and fun so I decided to add those,muffins in the background just to kind,of make that back icon for the recipe I,think I might use this a

what's up YouTube and welcome back to my,channel tonight I am doing a requested,video that video is my recipe box so,what I have in my recipe box and how I,made it it was requested if you saw my,previous video on sticker planner,sticker organization two people,requested it there and if you requested,it on Instagram so thank you to those,that requested this video I'm happy to,do that for you and I hope you enjoy it,if you want to see more about how I made,my recipe box just keep watching so I,bought this recipe box from Crate and,Barrel it's just a plain wooden recipe,box I thought it was really nice,and it has the slit on top which I love,and I'll show you guys what that's for,here in a second these are my recipe,dividers my recipe card dividers I have,these made by a shop on Etsy called the,adorned abode and she unfortunately,closed down her shop and I told her to,let me know if she ever reopens it,because what she did with these is so so,cool you guys and I'm sure someone else,will catch on or is already doing it,I'll try to look up on Etsy and see if I,can find any other shops that are doing,this right now I know there's a lot of,them that are making dividers but these,are a let me grab one of my extra ones,in the back so I had some extra ones,that I ripped the label label off of,because I had actually ordered my first,set and then I decided to expand upon it,and I split some of my categories like I,had like soups and salads together and I,really wanted those separate so these,are really high-quality if you can hear,they are hard and will last me forever,they're so durable they are laminate and,I don't know exactly how she did this,but they're really cool and I ordered,all red checkered so I thought this was,kind of like a country look with the,wooden box just trying to keep it simple,some of the sets that I saw online are,multiple different patterns and I liked,that there's so many different sets,that are available I don't know if they,use this exact technique but there are a,lot of sets available on se shops and I,liked I wanted to keep it simple so that,that way the like I wasn't looking,through I didn't feel cluttered I wanted,it to live a simple look I think that,this does give it a simple like,country-ish look I really wanted maybe,like a few of the rooster on it I'm,obsessed with roosters but I did not get,that so so I have dividers that say,appetizers soups salads breakfast side,dishes sauces casseroles I have a list,today I apologize for that I don't know,what's up slow cooker mean dishes in,meat which I wish I would have split off,but hey desserts cookies for the kids,which I have no children but some day,breads and beverages so I'm thinking,about I mean obviously I want to keep,these like forever so the extra ones I,almost got rid of and then my husband,was like well maybe you could figure out,how to real able them later I don't,think I'm gonna need any more sections,other than just maybe splitting that off,but I do because it already looks pretty,full but you know down the road I might,have to get a second box so we'll see,because this really we don't have that,much in it and it already looks starting,to look full so that's those are the,dividers that I have so box from Crate,and Barrel I will link it below if it's,still available or a similar one and,then these are the dividers ok so what,this slit is for on top is it came with,this like plastic folder and you put a,recipe card into it and then you set it,on top set it on top set it on top I,don't know and you can have your recipe,out while you're making your recipe I,really like this because it makes it,easy to see now the DIY part of my,recipe box are the recipe cards I looked,so much on Etsy for recipe cards and I,found several that I liked but they were,just so expensive and I just felt like,oh my gosh if I messed them up I would,be so upset so what I did was,I got some stamps from Hobby Lobby this,is not all of them I got those and then,I also got some labels like and I tried,to stay neutral they're golden black and,I just bought some basic like index,cards they're 4x6 and you can do any,size that you want but you want to try,to fit your box of course this box fits,4x6 clearly so what I did was I put the,label at the top and then I just did a,stamp and I mixed it up on each one I,didn't have like a format and that's,what I think makes these really cool,they are like cohesive but they're not,all the same so yeah,very cheap and easy way I can make more,at any time so I love this little fork,and spoon - and then this one says from,the kitchen of and then this one is,family secret recipe so as you go,through here this is like what they look,like and I mean you can make these as,fancy as you wanted if you wanted to,like glue things on to them or whatever,I really wanted to keep it simple,because I don't want things like falling,off I really like the simple look lots,of like black but they look very like,homemade but I like that they're,cohes

hi guys is Shari I hope that you are,having a wonderful day y'all let's make,something fun festive and cute stay,tuned so during the holiday season we,spend a lot of time with family and,friends and we spend a lot of time in,the kitchen food is a very big part of,how we celebrate our holidays it is the,joy of food the love of cooking together,just that fellowship that takes place in,the kitchen and around the table it's,just one of those things that you really,can't describe and a lot of times we'll,make a dish and everyone wants that,recipe and today's video is going to be,a very simple one but it's going to be a,very cherished one it is going to be a,way to gift the memory of a recipe to,someone and it's going to be a way to,gift the memory of recipes to your,guests as takeaways at that family event,that you might be having and what I've,made is just a little box it's a favor,box that you can fill with some of your,favorite recipes and gift them to your,guests,now I didn't decorate the cards and the,reason why I didn't it's because the,cards are double-sided so I didn't want,to take away any of the writing room I,just simply cut the cards out and I made,a box to hold them and these cards are,very durable card stock and I'll show,you exactly what I used for the cards,themselves and I use this beautiful,beautiful recipe card set and it's made,by photoplay and you can see just how,gorgeous these recipe cards are front,and back so basically I just cut these,apart and I made a box for them to fit,in and that's exactly what we're going,to do today,we're going to make this gorgeous little,box so unfinished our box is going to,measure six and one eight by four and,one-eighth and then it will be three,quarters of an inch deep and I think,this is just so cute and so delightful,for giving to our guests oh and you,don't have to make many of these but you,know if you have a couple of diehard,cooks coming to the family and you want,to share your recipes find some,beautiful paper get some of those cutter,parts and make a nice little box and,just hand it out as a thank you for,coming favor so let's get started on,making this so to make our project we,are going to be using some chipboard and,I have already covered the back of my,chipboard so we are going to need two,pieces that measure 3/4 by 6 and 1/8,we're going to need one piece that,measure 6 and 1/8 by two and a half,we'll need one piece that measures 6 and,1 8 by 3 and we'll need one piece that,measures 6 and 18.4 and we are going to,need a decorative piece of paper that,measures 7 and 3/4 by 12 I am going to,bring my scoreboard in and we're going,to score this at 3/4 of an inch on the 7,and 3/4 inch side and we will score this,at 7 then we will turn it on 12-inch,side we're going to score this at 3/4 of,an inch,3 & 7 8 4 & 5 8 9 & 9 and 3/4 and then,we're going to follow and burnish our,scores,okay so now that we have our scores,folded and burnished we have tabs here,that we need to cut and then we have,tabs here that we need to cut on both,sides and then we have this flap here,that we're going to fold over once we,put down our chipboard piece so let's go,ahead and remove the opening for our,tabs,okay guys so once we have our taps cut,out we're going to go ahead and place,our chipboard pieces and the way that,we're going to do that is the end where,we have the folded flap we are going to,come back with our six and an eight by,three inch piece of chipboard and we're,simply going to place that down so that,it falls inside of our score lines and,the reason why I'm doing it like this,instead of laying chipboard and then,putting my liner piece in is because for,this particular box I like the,flexibility that having this space here,gives a lid like this on this project,I don't always do it like this but on,this one I found it to be the easiest,way so then we're going to come back,with one of our three and a quarter by,six and 1/8 inch pieces and we're going,to place that here alright guys so I was,talking only to realize that I wasn't,actually filming so I pretty much got,the box completed before I realized it,so what I'm going to do is I'm going to,set this to the side for a moment and,show you the process that I went through,so I was in the process of placing this,piece here and I'm just doing this with,paper no chipboard just to show you guys,how to finish this off so originally I,said that the piece should be six five,four it should actually be six by four,money so I've got that place down,alright so we're at this point and we're,going to put our box together now you so,we're at this point you're going to have,a second three and a quarter by six and,1/8 inch piece that you'll place here I,did not cut out that piece so hi everyone welcome to my little corner,where there is no wrong way to play with,paper and today,we are going to make recipe cards now,i'm gonna do this in several different,ways there's no wrong way and i'm making,these recipe cards for my recipe album,that i have coming up and we're gonna,have some fun yeah just be creative now,you guys know me i used my scraps so,i know you're shocked hold yourself back,okay,so,um i'm just gonna go over,a few things and then i'm going to use,these on my layouts so,i've talked about it over the last,couple videos how i've been storing,things for almost two years i went over,all of my gathered up papers then we,made a couple page kit yesterday,and today i'm going to make some recipe,cards to use on layouts and then,tomorrow i will do my first layout and,we're just going to see how it goes i,mean,just like y'all it's trial and error,that's how it's going to be so there's a,few things that i use to create,i guess you can look at this two ways it,could be recipe cards or you can look at,this as bases however you want to use,them is okay you could do this and just,make them journaling blocks also,um i'm going to use them as recipe cards,i'm going to show you a few of the,things first i'm going to show you ones,that i have made they're not completed,because i'm going to decorate them with,each layout and whatever papers i use,i'm going to use to decorate them and,i'll go through that a little bit more,as i go,um,i mean that's pretty self-explanatory,but we'll go over that a little bit i'm,going then i'm going to show you the,tools that i've used i will link,anything i talk about and i can still,help you find i will put that in the,description so when you're giving me,that thumbs up which you guys really,don't know how much the thumbs up mean,to me they mean a lot because it,generates more people coming then that,will lead them to,love rts and it will just be a beautiful,beautiful circle that we are making the,world go round right,so i will link those below so,like i said hit that little arrow on the,description and it will have every,single link i'm i'm getting better i'm,learning i'm learning i'm learning so um,yeah i'll put that in there and then,after i go over the tools if there's,enough time and it's not too long of a,video yet,well maybe we'll complete a couple,together that that's my plan,now you see a whole big old mess,but i have created these little file,folders,and you will see that this one says,recipe,okay,and then i'm going to open it,and it has lines if i need additional,um,writing space i may tuck in a index card,index cards easy everyone can do that,and you will see me use those through,the course of the layouts now my plan is,at the top of the layout because i'm,doing this at a 12 by 12,um format so my plan is to did i put,them in here i believe i did,oh okay my plan is to take these tiny,little mini paper clips,and i purchased these on amazon i'll put,that link below also sorry if there's a,glare these tiny little paper clips let,me get a white piece of cardstock,and,i am going to paperclip them if i do not,have a pocket to put them in is that,better i am going to paperclip them to,the top of my layout so i thought these,would be really cute at the top of the,page with a mini like a little paperclip,at the top not this okay i just have,them,oh i set them over here i set the wrong,thing to the side i haven't even opened,these and you've probably seen these in,one of my hauls,you can get them on amazon,you can get them maybe i got them,somewhere else it's been a while i don't,remember but i do know you can get them,on amazon so picture a 12 by 12 layout,and then up in the corner i'm thinking,maybe i will go like this,right and have that there and then all a,person has to do is to slip it right,outside the page protector take this off,open it up,and use the recipe i could also paper,clip it like that right,at the top that would work also oh i,dinged my paper up a little bit,more room for embellishment,um so although that's one of my ideas,another of my um and this is a die that,i got and i will go over those products,i,just kind of put recipes um you'll see,later when i show the product i cut the,s off because i hated that it said,recipes because each layout's gonna be,one recipe and it bugged me,yeah so,i did that this one i used a little,sticker,um from,a sticker sheet you guys have seen me i,use this on my simple vintage cottage,kits,um which i haven't forgot we're still,going to make embellishments for those,base pages we made,but,um,i used one a sticker and then i just,stamped recipe on it again i will show,you the stamps that i used,then i die cut,this one oh my washi tape my mouth put,glue i die cut a bunch of die-cutted a,bunch of these i don't know how it's,called i cut a bunch of them out and,with the little notebook thing you're,always going to have simple recipes or i,have a lot of them,that are i had five kids so literally,some of my recipes and don
