Reviewing corelle dishware 🍽 Best dishware set 2022

welcome back to the channel i'm lena and, today we are talking all things corel, dishware are they worth it are they, breakable and more if you are wondering,if corel might be a good choice for you,and what it's really like, this video is for you on this channel i,make content simplifying money and home,if that sounds good to you come be a,part of it by tapping that little, subscribe button and ringing the, notification bell so that youtube lets, you know whenever i upload a new video, and with that let's get right into it,first off this video is not sponsored in,any way i am not being compensated for,my opinion uh either positive or,negative first up is corel dishware, pretty are they actually attractive and,you would want to eat off of them and, share them with your guests so first off, they have several different designs, which are pretty pleasing here we have a,set with some dots they've got lots of,different options so,if you wanted to you could get corel,in a,very pleasing pattern i really like this, one i didn't know they even did that i'm,just figuring this out today, they also have these cool trees and this,is like the square version i guess so,there are different options to have not, just plain white corral plates and i,didn't show you all the options you, could totally explore and look and see,if there's one that you really like but,you do not just have to go for plain, white but,me being ever practical,i am into all plain white this might, stem from my childhood and i have, memories of going to pier 1 with my mom,and we would go and get plain white, porcelain plates and i thought it was so,boring but it always matches with, everything you don't have to coordinate,it with your tablecloth if you're having,a party and you can pretty much, guarantee that there will always be,white plates so as your dishes break, you can just replace them with other, white plates because some of these, limited edition sets with the cool, patterns and stuff i bet you they're not, going to be around forever which means,it's going to get increasingly harder to,find that set so this is my dinner plate, boring old white i'm pretty sure i will,be able to buy this kind of dinner plate, forever, and i can dress it up and look fancy if,i want to or not i can have crazy, napkins but i can just have all my,plates be the same and pretty much, guarantee that they'll all match so yes,you could get pretty corel plates but,i will be doing that next up i'm talking, about what we're eating off of,so part of our plate collection still, has some of our wedding china so part of,our decor or wedding, were these centerpieces that involved, china plates so my mom got a bunch of,cool china plates and turned them into, these centerpieces and it was so cool so,then we ended up with a bunch of plates, and of course i love the china because i,wanted that for my wedding so we still, eat off of some some of those even today,so we got married over eight years ago,and we're still eating off of them and,yes we put them in the dishwasher so,here's one of them,it's a little worse for the wear because,we've been putting it in the dishwasher, and you know the gold is coming off and,we still have some but you know they, keep breaking and you can't put them in,the microwave because they have the uh,the metal on the edge there i don't,think you're going to be able to see, this one very well this is one of my,absolute favorites you can see it's kind,of dinged up by the, dishwasher but it has this subtle white, pattern and i love that and these are, lennox real china plates and we eat off,of them because i'm not waiting for a,special occasion to eat off our nice, plates but you can't put this one in the, microwave either kind of a bummer now,we're looking at what we got for our, corel so this is our dinner plate that,we have for corel it's just so useful, because you can put in the microwave, you can put in the dishwasher it doesn't,really look worth for the wear,i mean there's a few scuffs on it but, pretty much not at all and this is the,big size that's the same as those china, plates this is the salad plate size that,i absolutely love there's how big my,hand is there's how big the plate is and,i just ordered some more of these salad, plates so i'm super excited for those, these are just a great breakfast plate,uh or kid plate all the above and, they're just so much cuter than the big, ones corel does make big soup bowls but,we don't have any yet so i got my first, corel at a garage sale and it didn't,have any big soup bowls but corel does, make that so i just have two, types of bowls i have a bigger bowl and, this is normally what we end up putting, soup in,and then we have this smaller bowl which, kind of has more vertical sides and this,is really a nice snack bowl if you want,to make sure you don't eat too much of a,snack,if you put it in the big bowl before you, know it you'll have had twice as much,i know they do have the square size and,the other different types of bowls but, those are kind of the basics that i ha

Who Makes the Best Dinner Plate?

Who Makes the Best Dinner Plate?

hey there welcome beginner flight i'm,joshua today i want to talk to you about, dinnerware specifically for the rv when, you ask an rvr what kind of plate should,i have oftentimes the answer is going to,be tempered glass in the way of the name, brand corel however ikea sell the, tempered glass for a fourth of the price, let's do some testing and figure out, what the difference is and if the corel,is really worth four times as much, alright so the time of this filming, corel plates you can buy for about three, dollars and 54 cents a piece the ikea, plates are 79 cents a piece, this corral measures 10 and a quarter, inches, whereas the ikea is 9 3 4. so the ikea,is slightly smaller in diameter all, right let's see how much they weigh i,put a measuring cup on there so i can, raise it up to see,the numbers on the scale and the corel's,coming in at 12.38 ounces now let's,switch that out for the ikea plate, back to zero ikea's coming at 12.42,ounces let's compare this the thickness,of these plates the ikea ones are coming,in at 2.7 millimeters, the corral plates are 2.9 millimeters,so let's talk a bit more about the, subjective how how they look and feel, the corel plate,is smooth tempered glass, front and back, the ikea plate is smooth glass on the, front, slightly textured on the back it's got a,bit more of a rougher finish on the back,of the plate than it does on the front,so it feels smooth on the front a little, bit more textured on the back whereas, the corel plate is smooth all over the, place the edge of the ikea plate is,straight whereas on the corel there's a,slight lip at the very end the ikea, plates are made in china, the rail plates are made in the usa so,for all intensive purposes they're,identical plates similar style same, color approximate size and weight are, nearly the same price is definitely, different let's scratch these and then, let's break them and see if one holds up,better than the other all right let's do,some scratch testing i've got some, stainless steel chainmail here that we,use on some pots and pans the sharp, edges of the caliper i'm going to go,ahead and scratch each one for 30,seconds so 30 seconds with the chainmail,on each of the plates in 30 seconds with, the calipers, okay there's 30 seconds on the chainmail, for the, let's do the calipers, now we'll give the ikea a try,and the calipers, all right just washes with soap and, water what can i see,i can definitely see scratches from the, chain mail on the corel it left a bunch,of scratches and some discoloration if i,look hard enough i can kind of see where, the calipers were scratching the corel, although it's not as apparent,on the ikea,i cannot see scratches from the chain, mail at all and from the calipers i can, start to see,two little spots, where, the scratches are showing up all right, the first test we're going to do is,counter top height off onto the rv floor, ikea's up first,do ikea again, three times with the ikea no issues, let's try with the corel, three tests each off the counter onto, the audio floor, both of them are still fine, let's take these outside see if concrete, gravel or dirt will make any difference, all right ikea first, nacarrell,so based on the performance in the rv,and on the concrete slab i'm thinking, that dropping it onto the dirt or the, grass isn't going to break them so we're,going to see how high we have to go,before they break we started at 60. so,five feet off the ground, will the ikea break, nope, not 60.,not at 80 inches pretty impressive let's,try the corel,60 inches, and at 80.,both the corral, and the ikea held up to 80 inches off,the ground, over dirt, all right we got the ikea first on,gravel,60 inches, ikea on gravel at 80 inches, and 60 inches corral,80 inches brown, all right so up on some different gravel, let's see if we get consistent results, again we're going to start with the ikea,at 60 inches,in the corral at 60 inches, and corral at 80,inches so let's talk about what we did,we scratched him with the chainmail and,it showed up pretty darn well on the the, corral it scratched pretty easily, couldn't really see it on the ikea both,of them showed minor scratches with the, sharp object from the calipers dropping, them within the rv from countertop, height both of them did fine did not, break dropping them from picnic table, height over a concrete slab both of them, broke which would be expected and then, with gravel we had a toss up corel broke,at 80 inches on one type of gravel the, ikea broke at 60 inches on the other, type of gravel most likely because they, hit a different rock at a different, position and you know over gravel is,something that you're going to encounter,in an rv spot or while boondocking but,you can't repeat the process and really, test to see on a specific thing of,gravel how exactly they're going to,perform so ultimately does the corel, perform four times better than the ikea, oaf test plate i'll let you be the judge, that so let's talk about some other, things considering these plates the ikea, ones they're only found at ikea corel, however i

CORELLE BREAK TEST IN SLOW MOTION - WILL IT BREAK?

hi fans of high quality entertainment, how are you, really,as you can see this is a this is a bowl, humor,it is by corel and right here you can,see it says, break, and chip, resistant, and last weekend my girlfriend molly was, here making all kinds of dishes for me,and i was helping by staying out of her, way, and you know doing the dishes and, whatnot, and this bowl well not this bowl because, the bowl i was talking about is,no longer with us,it was on the edge of the counter i,guess it was too close to the edge and,at some point it fell on the floor, and so i'm going to recreate hopefully, what happened, with the bowl with this, very similar bowl is the exact goal, but different if you know what i mean, here we go,and if it breaks,i larry graves aka canadian stud muffin,i'm going to sue corel,for,1,million,dollars,whoa,so the bowl was here and i'm just going,to push it onto the floor because, that's what happened and then later i'm,going to push, jinx on the floor and see if she is,break and chip resistant,i'm just joking teensy i love you,and my cats, water and uh,food bowl are usually there but of,course i move them and just in case you, know,it just in case the bowl breaks in half, and part of it lands in there, water, okay, here we go,one, two, three, you son of a,honest it shattered into like a thousand, pieces, the same bowl not the same bowl because, that bowl doesn't exist anymore, one more, yeah you better oh good, don't want a shard of uh,glass in your pot, here we go,and now,for the, breaking of the bowl, because i'm going to get a million, dollars from corel, and i'm just pushing it you know just, lightly pushing it onto the floor you're,gonna be amazed as it shatters into like,a thousand i counted them actually it,was actually 1992,shards of,glass or whatever it's made out of,porcelain or,ceramic or rubber one two three no i'm,nervous now this is the final one i'm,going to look like an idiot if it,doesn't break, one, two, three, ladies and gentlemen, did that not break, and i promise i just pushed it you know, lightly,i didn't throw it onto the floor, corel you owe me one million dollars or,a new set of bowls whatever, look at that though that's what happened,on you know, all joking aside, that's what happened it went into the, freaking living room sorry for swearing, jinx is like, petrified there look at her,and i'm wearing shoes, and i'll have to be that's my,mittens bed there i'll make sure there's,no,shards in there but, like i said i i promise i didn't do,anything over the ordinary it's just, like it you know it slipped off the, counter, like it did last week, and,so you know, break and chip resistant,i don't think so,hi there,i am honestly a little shaky from from, that because by the fourth time you know,me gently pushing it i didn't throw it,or anything i gently pushed it onto the, floor,i didn't think it would break and so it,was like a surprise to me and i'm still, still shaking a little bit but the good, thing is,the the shards of uh,the corel bowl make excellent toothpicks,so,congratulations corelle

Vintage Hutch Redecorate Using 1970’s Corelle Dishes

Vintage Hutch Redecorate Using 1970’s Corelle Dishes

good morning everybody welcome to my,home my name is becky i'm so excited, that you're here today today well first,of all i want to say welcome to all the,new subscribers i did a couple of,collaborations over the last couple of,weeks and i've gained a good little, handful of new people um that have, subscribed to my channel so welcome i'm,so glad that you decided to subscribe, and join the family,um second of all if you hear pacing and, panting and, heavy breathing, daisy's back with us today my daughter's,uh german shepherd daisy so she is a,nervous nervous nelly she likes to pace, and walk and get under my feet,so,that's what she does she's doing her, thing so if you hear the noises in the, background that's her just embrace it,that's what i do just embrace it,so,today we're gonna go back to the hutch, now a couple of weeks ago a few weeks, ago actually i did a video where i,showed you four different options on how,to decorate your the shelves of your, hutch with vintage dishes and one of the, options that i showed you was using, corel dishes but i did not have enough,to bring the whole, vision together,so over the last few weeks i've been, picking up here and there at the thrift, stores and i have collected quite a bit,of karel dishware and i want to put it,all together and see how it looks in my,hutch,um i've cleaned everything off all of my,amber glass and all of my depression, glass that i had up there has been boxed, away, august will be the start,of fall decorating time in youtube land,so i have boxed my depression glass up,safely and securely in boxes with paper, and everything and that will stay boxed,up until january because we're gonna, have,uh fall halloween christmas all of those, things have their own dishware in itself,so i don't want to have to,store it in the closet in case something, were to happen to it so,they are wrapped up and put away until, january when we'll bring them out,and you'll see a big smile on my face, because i will have missed them,so much and i'll be so glad to get my,depression glass and my amber glass back,on my shelves so,let's go over to the hutch and let's,play around a little bit with this new, style it will be up for a few weeks, because i can't quite start fall yet as,much as i want to as much as i'd like to,and as much as you probably want to see,it too,um i need to it's still summer it's,still it's july,so i got to keep it,light and bright around here for just a,little bit longer all right let's meet,at the hut okay here we are at the hutch,so i want to first show you the two, patterns that we're going to be using,up there the first one you have seen, before it is my favorite it is the um,butterfly gold, and i wanted to mix it with this one, which is i call it crazy daisy because, that's what the pyrex pattern is called, but i believe that um corel also calls, this spring, spring what is it called, spring blossom so that's another name, for this pattern as well but i thought, and you tell me but i think they look, better, mixed together, than,um you know if i were to put the whole i,have enough to do the whole hutch with, just this pattern, but i don't know i just like the two, mixed together it just makes it more, interesting than to me interesting to me,i also have, medium size, and smaller size and i'm going to mix, those together,as well the different sizes and the, different patterns so,let's get to decorating, okay so as you can see i have alternated, the patterns i put the smaller, size well the middle, size at the top and i did four of those, and then i just did the bottom three, shelves the same but i alternated the, patterns i don't have,a smaller, crazy daisy to go there so it is what it,is that's all i have but i just kind of,would rather see them mixed together, than all the same i don't know how you, feel about that but, that's kind of what i have so far, okay so that's a lot of white,i'm not used to that much white i'm used,to my display being a lot more muted, with the amber colors and the depression, glass so,it's a little it's going to take me a,little getting used to but i still think,it's cute and it was worth trying, something different you know just, experimenting and playing around,so also what you would have noticed in,that video was that one of the other, shelves that i did i mixed the green, avocado glass with my beloved amber, glass and the two colors together they, just went so beautiful together and it,was a nice little display so i thought i,would incorporate that as well in mix, mixing that in with this display and,you know kind of maybe get the best of,both worlds so let me show you what i,have i have this little amber, candy dish and i have this little amber, candy dish there is a lid but i don't,want to drop it so you'll see it in a,second so,put this here, and, then over on the other side we're gonna, put,we're gonna bring back the trashy, romance novels and we're gonna sit that, here, okay we're gonna use that in a second,i've got two beautiful, candy dishes here aren't they beautiful, together,i love the
