hey guys welcome back to the channel,today we're going to talk about,what you can eat on amtrak,all right so uh it's time for some,breakfast so i went down,got uh some breakfast they have lots of,different off options they've got um,like oatmeals and they have different,types of cereals,and milk and then you can also get,yogurts and muffins,and um they also have a breakfast,sandwich which is actually what i chose,to,get right here so i'm gonna eat that i,brought it back to the room at here and,just set the table out,um and i've also got a yogurt stripper,yogurt,and i've got my coffee of course we,gotta get some coffee to get the blood,flowing and wake myself up a little bit,um but i'm gonna eat this breakfast here,in the room at and enjoy the view,all right guys so we're going to talk,food um,on amtrak and this this is what you get,with your room at you do get all of your,meals included which is breakfast lunch,and dinner,if it applies to your ride and so,uh we talked about breakfast and what,you get with that so let's talk about,this,lunch and dinner is the same menu so you,can,you know you can choose if you see two,different things you like then you get,one for lunch get one for dinner,so i have gotten uh the vegan option,actually which is the enchiladas with,plant protein inside,and then there's rice and black beans,now every meal comes with a salad and,you can choose from,ranch or italian dressing,and then every meal also comes with a,roll,and you also get a dessert these are the,two options right now which is a brownie,and a toffee crunch blondie brownie,um so the other thing that you get which,i think is great is you get,free drinks so water sodas,juice and um also coffee,and they do give you right now they're,giving you one free alcoholic beverage,per ride so that's really awesome too so,you do get lots of different options,they do have a lot of options for,the for the actual meals i mentioned got,the vegan option they do have,one other vegan option which is asian,noodles,and then they also have several pasta,dishes and they even have,creole shrimp and andouille they have,chicken fettucini,they also have shrimp and lobster sauce,which is like hmm,i don't know if i should try that or not,they have chicken marsala,the enchiladas that i got and then last,night actually rob got the uh,the red wine and braised beef so there,are lots of options for that,so those are your options for lunch and,for dinner so you choose from those same,entrees for those two meals so lots of,different,uh things that you can do one thing one,mistake essentially that we made was,that,we brought sodas with us before when we,were in coach and we thought we would,need them again not realizing that,we can get beverages whenever we want,without having to pay for them um,you know like sodas and waters and such,so that's something that you don't need,to bring if you're in a room at,you don't need to bring your drinks,because you'll get those provided for,you,on the train uh and so there's three,different places,that you can eat you can um have your,meal,in the room like we're having and you,have a nice table that pulls out and it,actually slides all the way in here,you can also eat in the dining car and,you can make a,time reservation right now you have to,do that because of covet restrictions,or you can take the food into,the observation car and you can eat in,there so there's several,choices for where you can eat and if you,want to you know just have a private,meal or whatever lots of options for,that so,a lot of really good stuff really,available and the food is actually,um pretty pretty decent tasting so not,bad at all,so as i mentioned uh this menu is,actually,a different menu than the one they,normally use on amtrak,their food program was changed in the,dining car,due to some budget cuts and some changes,have been made as well because,of covet restrictions so the,room your room porter will come around,and ask you,if you'll want to eat in the dining room,or in your room or what arrangements you,would like for dinner,and then you make reservations with them,and they'll reserve a table for you,in order to allow for social distancing,so that's why they come around and make,those reservations for you,um and then once they do that then,you'll also you'll receive,a ticket and you'll take this little,ticket with you,to the dining room uh the dining cart,when you're ready for your meal it tells,them what room you're in,and what time you're supposed to be,there so as you can see here the tables,are spaced out,so you're not sitting right next to,somebody or right across from somebody,and then this side here all the tables,are closed this would normally be,reserved for,coach passengers to come and enjoy a,meal right now they are only serving,those in the dining in the room uh,the sleeping car so this here is the,asian noodles,this is the other vegetarian option and,it was actually,quite tasty it had lots of vegetables in,it,and it was an ove

okay so excited traditional dining is,finally back,so we are looking at the menu they,brought us the menu here in the room,and we're looking over it rob and i and,trying to decide what to have for,breakfast before we head over,so here are the choices you can do a,continental breakfast which is,like mixed berries a croissant a greek,yogurt,you can have your choice of assorted,cereals,oatmeal or grits then there's the amtrak,signature railroad french toast,and that's just like thick cut french,toast with whipped cream and some,seasonal berries on top,then there is the three egg omelet,and on that one you have your choice of,cheddar or swiss on top and then they,also you can have,vegetables on top which is peppers and,onions,and that's served with potatoes,breakfast potatoes,and a croissant and then there's the,scrambled eggs which you can add again,your choice of cheddar or swiss,and tomatoes and red and green peppers,and onions,you can mix any of those that you want,in there because they are made to order,which is really amazing,and then that's also served with,breakfast potatoes,and a croissant and then they also have,some sides of,meat choices as well if you would like,that they have the hardwood smoked bacon,and you get three pieces,they have the breakfast pork sausage,link you get two,and chicken sausage links you get two so,um from this list i'm sure you're,thinking you're deciding what you're,gonna pick,i'm gonna tell you what i'm gonna get,and then we'll see what rob wants to get,so i think,i like that three egg omelet that sounds,good sounds like a lot of food,um but that sounds good i like an,omelette over scrambled eggs,i don't know why um so i think i'm gonna,do that,and i think i'm gonna get the chicken,sausage links because that sounds really,good,um so what are you going to get rob i am,definitely going to get the railroad,french toast i knew you were going to,say that,i knew he was going to say that when i,read it i said,he's going to pick the french toast,because he loves french toast,and i'm gonna get the pork sausage and,the sausage yes,so that's what we're gonna get so we're,gonna head on over there um to breakfast,and we're gonna put in our order and,we'll sit there and they'll have the,full table service,and we're gonna bring you guys along,with us so you guys can experience it,too,the french toast is really good it looks,so pretty,strawberries and blueberries,good morning ladies and,this sausage gentlemen really good it's,like something to get at a restaurant so,it makes me feel like i'm at uh bob,evans,or you know like it's actually better,than like a denny's or something like,that but,it's really good,so i got the chicken sausage i'll show,you what that looks like,and it's actually very good so i would,highly recommend that too,okay wow um such a different experience,than,than um what we've been having on the,trains,with the quickie breakfast this is,absolutely amazing to have the table,service,first of all they bring your drinks in,the cups already so,they don't bring you the bottle and a,cup they already serve it in the cup for,you which i thought was really nice you,have real silverware,um and their amtrak plates,as well so that was great the food was,amazing,it was really good and it was actually a,lot of food as i had anticipated,but it was delicious um and it was a,really cool experience what did you,think about yours rob,yeah i thought that the the food was,really good it,kind of compared for me like being on a,cruise ship and,going into the main dining room for,breakfast which you can do sometimes,uh that quality of food so much higher,service than the,biscuit that you normally have been,getting with the traditional dining,now the other thing that i thought was,interesting about it was,they said that you might be sharing a,table,with someone else but from what we could,tell,nobody was sharing any tables and,they're actually open tables,and the train is pretty full so i think,they've been working,a long enough time frame to fit,everybody in,so we'll see what happens next because,our next,meal is at two o'clock we signed up for,the late lunch because we had the late,uh breakfast so i think it'll probably,be,just the two of us at a table again,we'll see,okey-dokey well um it is lunch time,so here are the choices for lunch for,the new traditional menu,so we're looking at they have a caesar,salad it's a classic caesar salad with,the romaine,and the first they add grape tomatoes to,it which is interesting,and then shaved parmesan and if you,would like to have some protein with it,you can add a roasted chicken breast to,that which is really nice that sounds,lovely,there's also artisan grilled cheese it's,oven roasted,turkey bacon provolone and cheddar,cheeses on hickory smoked onion bread,and then they're going to serve that,with tara chips and,coleslaw that sounds pretty good too,this is getting tougher,then the next one is the natural angus,burger it's an,angus beef burger and it's

hey guys welcome back to the channel,today we are sharing with you all of the,amtrak food options,we love riding amtrak trains and one of,the big things that's part of the,experience is,food and eating on the train so,we're gonna break down all your options,no matter what train and what class of,ticket you have today,and we're going to go through them all,for you so you can be prepared to know,what you want to eat when you're on the,train,first thing you need to know is you are,allowed to bring your own food on the,train so,if you want to bring a cooler we,oftentimes bring some subs if we're in,coach class or business class,and just kind of bring those with us in,a little soft sided cooler bring a,couple drinks and we're good to go with,that but,if you don't want to do that here's,everything you can buy or will be,included in your ticket on the train so,the first place you can eat is the cafe,and the cafe is on,almost every train there's a couple,trains like the hiawatha,that we've been on that don't have a,cafe and those are gonna be like two,hours or less those trains,anything over that is gonna have a cafe,and all of the,sleeper car trains have a cafe so,everyone is available or everyone is,allowed to purchase food from the cafe,and you can eat it either in your seat,or in the cafe or if you're on a train,with an observation car you can eat it,in the observation car as well so we're,gonna throw that menu up there for you,so you can take a look at it as we uh as,we go along but they do serve breakfast,uh lunch and dinner and this is the,breakfast menu we've got here,and,they've got quite a few selections i,think,yes they do have selections not just hot,breakfast but you can also have,some oatmeal and some pastries and,different things like that so there are,quite a few options there as well as,like muffins,so,you've got some things to pick from if,you want something you know sometimes in,the morning you want something warm,you've got that option or if you just,want you know something quick and sweet,like a pastry or a muffin you can do,that too you'll notice that the hot,breakfasts kind of run five or six,dollars and the cold ones kind of run,three dollars it gives you an idea of,what price you'll be paying if you don't,bring your own food right and then,moving on to lunch and dinner they have,kind of the same assortment of stuff,they've got hamburgers hot dogs pizza,pizza macaroni and cheese cheese which,we have gotten the mac and cheese before,we have it's actually really good it is,good we did like that uh i've gotten the,hot dog before uh-huh it's kind of like,getting a ballpark hot dog yes,and that's it it is a nathan's brand,yeah it is it's pretty good that's gonna,run you that same six seven dollars for,your lunches and then cold snacks chips,drinks,uh it's gonna be like a little meat and,cheese tray it's small um,but yeah it'll be a little bit less,about what five,anywhere from five dollars,down to about 250 or so exactly so uh,then you can get snacks all day which is,gonna be,uh like your m ms and your powerades and,those are all gonna run you two to three,dollars so,that gives you an idea if two of you,were to go eat in the cafe it'd probably,run you about 20 dollars,yes,and then definitely remember that,amtrak is cashless right now so you do,need to bring a debit or credit card to,use if you don't have one,you'll need to make sure that you get,one before you get on the train the,major stations do have a machine,available right now that will convert,your cash into a card that you can use,on board and the cafe also is not open,24 hours so it does there's usually one,person that runs it,and they sometimes often help with the,dining car as well so or if they go on a,meal break they'll close it,so it's going to be open for breakfast,lunch and dinner and it closes usually,in the early evening,eight or nine o'clock depends on the,train but in the person uh but don't,think that that's 24 hours if you need,to get something,get it when they're open because they,will close it a little bit later on yes,yes that that time does vary in the,morning they're usually open about,sometime between six and seven and again,listen for the announcements because,they will tell you when they're closing,the night before they'll tell you in the,morning i'll open at you know six or,seven or whatever exactly so now moving,on to the uh dining car,the most of the east coast view liner,trains are on the flexible dining system,and the flexible dining is not quite as,good as a traditional dining but still,pretty good and we're going to show you,what that is these are basically meals,that are prepared beforehand and warmed,up they're basically microwaved for you,similar to your airplane style food yeah,exactly and so these are going to be on,most of your east coast trains if you,want to know what your train has,you when you when you buy the ticket,it'll give you under the dining section,you you can click on it and see if it,says f

the Sam truck still have dining cars on,their trains what are they like,what routes have what meals what's,Amtrak food cost what are the hours and,the rules can I bring my own food and,drinks,hi I'm still Jeremy I'll go over all of,these questions and more in this video,climb aboard and let's eat,there are basically two ways to eat,Amtrak food simple things from the,so-called cafe or for meals from the,dining car of all the Amtrak routes in,the United States only for the Amtrak,Hartford Line the Hiawatha Keystone,service and Valley flyer have neither of,these so no food at all all of the rest,have at least a cafe and fourteen plus,one sort of also have dining car service,first let's talk about the cafe the one,that nearly every Amtrak route has the,cafe is a casual place to get simple,food including prepackaged sandwiches,and candy bars as well as heated up food,and on some routes pizza slices and,hamburgers and hotdogs and things like,that different routes have different,cafe menus all passengers whether in a,seat or a private compartment need to,pay for things from the cafe prices are,not too bad and there's usually a place,to sit and enjoy the views even on short,routes you can look at PDFs of the,current cafe menu on any route on the,Amtrak website you can also sometimes,buy things like batteries and Amtrak,playing cards at the cafe the cafe is,usually open from early morning until,late at night if you want an afternoon,snack or a beer the cafe is where you go,when it comes to Amtrak's famous full,meal dining cars there are two types,traditional and flexible let's go over,the differences dining cars used to all,be traditional but about half were,downgraded in 2019 as of this video only,these seven routes offer what Amtrak,calls traditional dining Auto train,California Zephyr coast starlight Empire,Builder Southwest chief Sunset Limited,and Texas Eagle traditional dining means,the classic dining car experience that's,been famous for decades it's a full hot,meal service prepared in the train by,staff in a kitchen how it works is the,staff will walk through the Train,beforehand and ask you when you'd like,to eat and will accommodate you the best,they can and issue you a ticket at York,time you take your ticket to the dining,car and you'll be seated at a table with,a white tablecloth and you order from,the server just like it,restaurant every meal is free if you,paid for a private sleeper compartment,but if you're travelling in a seat,you'll have to pay the server for your,meal again just like a restaurant it can,get pricey a note about traditional,dining on auto train between Washington,DC and Orlando it's only available to,those with a private sleeper compartment,and it comes with a free glass of wine,otherwise alcohol in all traditional,dining cars costs extra,Amtrak only serves alcohol to passengers,21 and over finally please leave a tip,for your server after each meal besides,the delicious food one famous and,notable feature of Amtrak's traditional,dining car is that tables always have,four people at them meaning you'll be,seated with other random passengers,conversations always break out as you,compare itineraries and impressions of,the train and the countryside it might,sound a little daunting to some but it's,really a fun feature of traditional,dining making temporary new friends as,part of the Amtrak experience the other,type of meal service is flexible dining,which was introduced in 2019 as a,replacement for traditional dining on,these routes Capital Limited Cardinal,city of New Orleans Crescent Lake Shore,Limited and Silver Meteor and Silver,Star so most of the eastern,long-distance routes,you might remember hearing news stories,in 2019 that Amtrak was discontinuing,its dining cars that made it sound like,no food would be available on any routes,nationwide but in fact the only thing,that changed is the type of meals and,the seating on these seven routes so,what is flexible dining it's sort of a,cross between traditional dining in the,cafe and it's only available for,passengers and sleeping compartments not,coach seats the quality of the food and,flexible dining is a step up from the,cafe but not nearly as nice as a,traditional dining car flexible dining,meals are prepackaged fresh enough but,merely heated up on the train you can,eat anytime you want in the given meal,hours since you are ordering anything to,be prepared just selecting from a stock,supply you can opt to be served in your,room or you can sit in the flexible,dining car which has no table costs and,no assigned seating the car is actually,open 24/7 so,outside mealtimes you can hang around,there but again only if you're staying,in a private compartment basically it's,the formality and forced dinner,companions of the traditional service,that were done away with in flexible,dining but so are the beloved higher-end,food options on the other hand one bonus,of flexible dining is that the first,alcoholic drink of your journey is free,this sit

so,do,good morning this is the second day so,we just woke up uh look up a little,early but now it is like 7 30 it is,approaching minot in north dakota it's,all snow outside and the sun is rising,in the east it's very good outside so i,got some coffee from the cafeteria they,are giving starbucks coffee which is,really good we will all work up and go,and show you the breakfast today we have,to go to the cafeteria again for the,breakfast and stay tuned with us,as you can see,once you open the bed there isn't much,for a family of four,family bedrooms extend the width of the,car with ample space for two adults and,two children,the beds turn into two sofas by day and,to upper and to lower birds by night,and it had to bake pictures windows,amtrak stations in north dakota are on,the empire builder route that travels,between chicago and either portland or,seattle,located on north dakota's drift prairie,mine art was incorporated in 1887.,the community recently completed a full,renovation of the 1905,red brick great northern railway depot,there are seven amtrak stations in north,dakota all serving the empire builder,which will take you to either chicago to,the east or seattle or portland to the,west,there's nothing worse than feeling,hungry when you're on the move,hungry plus angry that's hangry,you can enjoy breakfast lunch dinner and,of course desert across any of the long,distance train rides,so,whether you're heading home visiting a,friend or going on a vacation,you have got to eat,luckily amtrak has your cravings covered,an omelette free cheese omelettes,absolute bacon,chicken sauces,so very good option,how was your french toast,do you like your scrambled egg,yes,even kids can choose from children's,menu such as,hot dogs pizza and chicken tenders,amtrak's observation cars called,sightseer lounges provide an amazing way,to see the country on long distance,trains,there are currently only seven routes,that have these lounges with,floor-to-ceiling windows,the observation car provides you an,incredible scenery,seats in the observation car are open to,all passengers on our first come first,serve basis,you can come relax and enjoy the view,and we will be entering our montana soon,so,let's see forward to the view,what makes the car so cool is that they,have floor-to-ceiling windows giving,them their nickname sightseeing lounges,they bring daydreaming out the window to,a whole new level,literally,thanks to the awesome views it's always,a favorite for first time riders and,instagramers,empire builder passes through the most,scenic glacier national park it's very,nostalgic to me,when,i was young,maybe five six years old we used to,travel from kolkata to gujarat and it,was like,three nights and four days,we could,win a train and,traveling,this train particularly reminds me of,those deals,my favorite,the sounds of the train that iconic,whistle that sings adventure or the,click and clack of the tracks that see,you're on your way kids are already on,their ipads both of them,as you can see,traveling train is always uh you know,fun to me,when i was in india long back 20 years,back so i we used to go for vacations,with the family it trained overnight,journey so that's you know makes a,memory alive today when i'm traveling,with my family here,in u.s so,it's nice beautiful scenery outside,sunny shunts sun is shining so,really great and having fun with the,family,along with enjoying the scenery yes,multitasking as well,from chicago amtrak's empire builder,travels through wild and scenic parts of,minnesota north dakota and idaho this,particular route to glacier national,park crosses through all kinds of,landscapes including bustling cities,vast plains and rugged mountain ranges,a visit to glacier national park in,montana really is a bucket list,experience,so we are here for lunch we order the,lunch we show you what we are going to,eat so this dining car which is almost,middle of the,train but our car is almost already,packed for sure you're going to have a,unique dining experience in your long,distance trip,so i have,angus,burger with chips,what do you have,i have taken,a savory chili and you can see it's,loaded with bacon chili,and,to baked potatoes,so much looking forward to it,very good patty,here,lettuce,two sides of tomato and a yummy bun,with cheese definitely so let's give it,a bite,very good,passengers who have booked roommates or,sleeper car rooms have their meals,included in their ticket,passengers riding in the code section do,not have their meals included but are,free to walk to the dining car to make a,reservation,my dessert,i actually finished my carrot cake here,in the morning we are having heavy,breakfast let me go and sit there,watch the beautiful sceneries take a new,nap and then it's time for,lunch and then you come and eat this,heavy good food by the time we get off,the train for sure i'm going to gain um,10 pounds,amtrak's empire so,when traveling on an amtrak long,distance train at some point you're,going to need to eat,in this all-inclusive reviews video we,will cover the food and dining options,that are available while you're on the,train,the first food option is to bring your,own food depending on the length of your,trip this could be as simple as some,granola or protein bars in bottled water,or as elaborate as packing a cooler full,of individually wrapped meals to cover,several days,the second food option is the cafe,which is located in the lower level of,the site seer car,the cafe is open to all passengers,this includes coach and sleeper,there is a wide variety of food and,drink options available for purchase,this would include items for breakfast,lunch and dinner as well as a large,selection of snacks chips candy soda,juice various alcoholic drinks you name,it the cafe attendant will make several,announcements throughout the day over,the intercom system notifying you when,the cafe is open or closed they accept,cash credit or debit for payment please,make sure you bring enough cash just in,case the credit card machine is not,working,now moving on to the third food option,the dining car due to coveted,restrictions during our travels the,dining car was only available to sleeper,passengers sleeper rooms include room,ats bedrooms family bedrooms and the,handicap accessible bedroom breakfast,lunch and dinner are included in the,cost of these rooms the dining car,attendant will make an announcement over,the intercom system when meals are being,served for the sleeper car passengers,breakfast starts at 6 30 in the morning,and lunch at 12 on a first come first,served basis,dinner requires a reservation and one of,the dining car attendants will come,around to your individual sleeper room,to set the reservation time for you the,dining car has a certain procedure for,seating guests,as you enter the car they request you,wait at the end until they motion for,you to come to a table the dining car,offers a variety of food for each meal,during our trip we had four different,items on the menu for breakfast a,continental breakfast,the amtrak signature french toast,a three egg omelet,or scrambled eggs,at lunch time you can choose a caesar,salad with or without chicken this,happened to be one of our favorite,choices,an artisan grilled cheese sandwich with,turkey and bacon,a natural angus burger with chips or,coleslaw,or vegan chili on a baked potato or in a,bowl with toppings and don't forget,dessert,yep it's included with lunch,beverages for breakfast lunch and dinner,are coffee tea juice soda and bottled,water,for an extra charge at breakfast or,lunch you can order various alcoholic,beverages as dinner time comes around a,dining car attendant will announce,reservation times over the intercom,system head to the dining car when your,time has been announced,once seated your beverage order will be,taken dinner is the one meal that they,provide a complimentary alcoholic,beverage,dinner will consist of three courses,starting with a selection of appetizers,such as lobster crab cake,green chili cheese tamale or mixed green,salad with baby brie,moving on to the entrees,you have amtrak's signature flat iron,steak now i am a meat and potatoes guy,and literally ate this every single,night on the train it was absolutely,delicious,other options were the pan roasted,chicken breast grilled atlantic salmon,and the tortellini with pesto cream,sauce my wife is the more adventurous,eater in our family and sampled,everything on the menu between the two,of us we enjoyed every course now,dessert is my favorite part of any meal,an amtrak didn't disappoint,you can select a flourless chocolate,torte which was very rich and delicious,and gluten-free philadelphia cheesecake,i have three words for this,a maize ing,or their carrot cake yum i swear we,gained five pounds on this trip the,dining options and the quality of food,and service were outstanding i want to,acknowledge the wonderful service we,received in the dining car,a huge thank you to michael j,jess and jana,not to mention the chefs that were,preparing the food in the kitchen,located on the lower level of a,constantly moving train,hats off to them,the last thing to mention is tipping,everyone's favorite topic i know,if you received good service and good,food,show your appreciation by leaving a tip,as a couple for breakfast and lunch we,left five dollars for each meal and for,dinner we leave ten,some people opt for the end of trip,tipping method in the dining car but,we've found tipping after each meal,encourages consistently great service,so whether you're traveling alone,paired up for dining with other,travelers,sharing conversation with whomever,you're when you think about it,travel by train really kicked off the,American vacation experience in the 19th,century travelers stopped for meals at,stations along the way and later onboard,kitchens supplied gourmet offerings well,today Amtrak is keeping that tradition,alive with some unique meals on some,special trains these are the familiar,sights and sounds of train travel the,power and energy of the huge engines the,beehive of passenger activity at the,station the all aboard and sheer,anticipation of the coming adventure,riding the rails but this is the part,most train travelers never see the sun's,barely up and already dozens of Amtrak,employees have been working for hours,loading these trains with everything,from vegetables to juices dinner items,to dessert each year Amtrak buys close,to 50 million dollars worth of food and,beverage products to satisfy its 28,million passengers when that train is,stocked in the morning we load over,45,000 individual food and beverage,items on board that train,Amtrak's thomas hall says trucks,delivered those food supplies from farms,and factories to 13 different warehouses,in major American cities like this one,in Los Angeles from the warehouse it's,loaded on dining cars,more than 300 Amtrak trains depart from,stations across the US each day carrying,close to 80,000 passengers a lot of,hungry riders for instance we buy over,two hundred thousand gallons of fruit,juice a year 120,000 quarts of milk over,800,000 hamburgers a year 300,000,chickens,not to mention 300,000 steaks 660,000,hotdogs a half million tomatoes and,about 200,000 freshly made salads I,think what Amtrak does best is to,provide American comfort food and track,style,Daniel malls on Amtrak's executive chef,says there's a new effort underway to,select only the freshest best quality,food products and for Amtrak that,usually means buying American I think,America produces certainly some of the,absolute best food in the world there's,no question about that a great food can,only spring from great ingredients it,supports the American economy it also,gives us the freshest products available,and I think it also gives us the highest,quality products available for our,customers on board the train we do,design and tailor the food to specific,routes and we have some very vibrant,partners that we work with in that,process those partners may include,Colorado cattle ranchers Michigan,cucumber growers crab cakes for Maine,fishermen on this Coast starlight route,from Los Angeles to Seattle passengers,may dine on Washington State salmon,Oregon and California cheeses and,lettuce and tomatoes grown in fields,right outside their window,when we took the airplane it was like he,didn't did anything but this little,trail noise but this is fantastic,David and Patricia Englehart our regular,Amtrak riders the Delaware couple is,celebrating their 50th wedding,anniversary by enjoying Amtrak's,restored parlor car with its five-star,restaurant atmosphere quality-wise,and faster when they walked through the,dining car and they smell breakfast in,the morning or in the afternoon and they,smell these fresh roasted chickens in,the ovens down below it really gives a,sense that they're at a fine-dining it,down and Chardonnay sounds good that,chicken special stone is really good to,please all these particular passengers,it's a balancing act,literally preparing gourmet meals in a,tiny galley on a moving train hundreds,of meals three times a day,little wonder folks are surprised at how,tasty it all turns out in the food,business going back to the beginning,it's all about the product and the,American farmer is responsible for,bringing us those great selections

i'm actually,right next door,to the dining train,look at that with the,setup,we're about to have,dinner what do i order,um it's just,complimentary for the roommate,so what do i order like what are we,allowed to order,oh wow,lobster crab,cake so i'm gonna have a lobster crab,cake,steak or tortellini probably have a,steak,because it's amtrak's signature,i have to have the cabernet sauvignon,thank you,whoa nice plating,this is cute they have this amtrak,silverware,this is spacing right here,for appetizers i really like this,lobster cake,here you are this is it this is the,steak,let's see how this take it,it's actually not bad,it's tender you don't need like a steak,knife for it or there's a carrot a while,ago because it's the only thing left,unfortunately the only thing left is,also gone,it's okay i'm full but,that's the thing i won't be able to show,you how it tastes like,wow,thank you,i'm back here in my little bathroom,amtrak was not good at all before you go,anywhere you go,anyway,but tonight,i think i ordered the right food because,the lobster cake and the steak was,actually pretty good not bad actually,above these eggs,so that's my amtrak food experience,honest review for you please don't,forget to like and subscribe
