Alaska train ride and dinner theatre

here we are all ready to go,john has to sit over here, but the uh,one of the conductors told me that, conservative estimates for it are at,about a hundred thousand dollars a day, this is a gold mine, they might get about a thousand dollars, fire that used to be on it was stripped,up during world war ii and melted down,it was layers up there, and those are uh semi-valuable they're,considered ancient but i thought that he,was being chased by the devil,so he built a roundhouse so he could be,chased, from our, more modern part of the older type, very short,um,freight train carrying jet fuel derailed, and seven of the cars on the train were, ruptured, and they each contained 20 000 gallons,so it was a pretty big spill,it made natural news, but the spill was contained largely in,part because of a beaver dam, and, this looks pretty good,is laying around like the boom that they, put in the water to keep it from, spreading and everything,we just got up into the vest well if you, don't see right here, fourth car back, right now, there's another domed car behind us,right well they were just pregnant, there's jimmy coming around,as you can see we're up the stairs, hope they don't make a sudden stop,i don't know, see a lot of trees,it parallels the railroad along most of,its course but you can't you can't see,it from the rails that off,if we're if we're crossing in highways, from now into anchorage basically, you can't see it today, and we're going to be crossing it on a,bridge up here pretty soon, and across the river is hundred people, and most of people the cherries the most, famous is the tripod over there you can,see that yeah black and white structure, and we'll be coming right up next to it,so if you don't see it now we'll see it,in july, right there but they put it in the, smithsonian institution, and, this is a single span bridge and it's,you have a camera or a video, you can see when we,and at that time about 5 000 people, lived here,on wow right side up here we can see the, confluence of the indiana and tanana, rivers which,uh,one thousand eight hundred miles long, yeah two rivers right there, this year, there's a ballistic wrist still, coming down, don't anybody,40.,right next to the trees here, the only thing you could really see at,the depot and the inside that gift shop,is,it's the highest in north america it's,20 320 feet, and um,they say that that if they measured not, ever as differently that it would be the, highest,in the world um,it's hard to explain but they say that, that mount everest somehow they measure,it,from, where the, bottom of the mount of the whole,uh,appellation knocks out the appellations,up,let's see, yeah,um it's on a default zone,it's um denali falcon it's an extension,of the san andreas fault,um,because alaska at the bottom of it was, created by two plates brushing together,we've got the north american plate,it's moving upstream, they say that it's like in a million, years hawaii is going to be up by last, night's,real estate industry, but um,they, the bottom line, yeah, you know we're anchorages that didn't,used to be there that used to be ocean, and it's gotten moved on here all these, hills along here they're full of cooler, blue building that we'll see on this, left and it's called the eusabelli, tipple and they crush all the coal there, and load it on freight cars and they, take half of it to fairbanks, and um ship it to,other cities and people just fill them,in now,do you usually say samoa,we just haven't seen very many today, there are going to be a,billy coal mine, there, they crush the coal in,thank there, this is a part of the track, okay, okay, excuse me,right, see if i,right off the, bridge, river, out our back door of our motel room or,hotel room whatever they call it her, chalet room,i'll have to take inside and show you, what it looks like, here's the, first room, couch makes into a bed roll away, nice, then we go in here, and this is the bathroom here, they're lounging around in here, getting comfy,he's got everything together, there's one in every crowd you know, what that doesn't look like the height,of the comfort there no okay, aren't they cute,i don't know about you babe, the second one is anyway let's turn it,on okay, full plane, tonight it's for our dinner this is a,catch up here, dog, gold nugget to town back in 1906.,of course this was just a tent then, there's no piano and there's no stools, and there was nearly as much good food,to eat since it took me quite a while to,bring in all the dirt from my garden,it's not too bad i'd have to dig my own, sleep, but still our place was just packed with, pears panda handlers, gold diggers and, flyers, and it was just amazing what a good time, fox got up to back then she seems like i,can hear him singing even now,was pleasing to my mindy, emily thereof, but all too soon, honey, lil big horn, well you see this young prospector was, calling me after, and one night after my show, all wet, anyway he promised me the next day he,never showed up,since then i've been looking for him, everywhere,i heard he was sitting around these, parts so

which is kind of weird because, you know i love me some roller coasters, but it's like the complete opposite when,it comes to,you know actually thinking that you can,get hurt but,it doesn't make sense because skydiving,is still number one on my bucket list, right,so where's the reasoning in that,oh why does it look like a slide, you have to slide what yeah you have to,slide down, look what happened to oreo he's,shivering,no no no my vlog camera, hold on oreo's shimmering hold on i'm,gonna make some hot cocoa, swiss miss with of course marshmallows, because marshmallows, makes everything better,we ended because, hello it was like cold in alaska now the, grand auntie mercy's,and wow check this out eggplant, which is a fish she made,so the bean sprouts,i forgot the name of this one hot dog,the noodles for the pho,i think this one's uh hot stickers, chicken too and auntie mercy also had a,birthday cake for my mother-in-law which,is really nice,it was an ice cream cookie dough cake, and we also brought the bingo set over,to her house so we all enjoyed,a few rounds of bingo, island's practicing yes, bingo night again bingo nice, new year's eve definitely didn't,disappoint um i remember my,mother-in-law,was always so big with new year's and,it really took me back to like the times, when they used to live here,in ventura county and all of the kids, like darren, ian angel they were all still really, young, reminded me of that time period because,it's still the same my mother-in-law,still has those same traditions where, you know you make a lot of noise with, the pots and pans, lots of food all of the you know just, all of the superstitions to bring in a,really, good new year new year's eve chickies,we are just going to be having new, year's eve here at my mother-in-law's,hi i have ina who's playing what are you, playing nina,i'm playing war zone, and there's oh there's mocha, and then here's ivan i'm in what are you, playing, fortnite his favorite huh,we're just gonna be here having dinner, spending time with the fam,and i think we're also gonna have some, fireworks later so that should be fun,it is cold check that out ivan, ivan ivan turn around,is 10 degrees right now is it really, yeah,oh my gosh it was cold i don't know if i,mentioned it but,as long as you give me a scarf you know,to keep my neck warm, then i'm all good but how long were we,out there mary,we were out there for like at least 30,minutes or so yeah,so 30 minute mark 10 degrees,it's time to go inside and warm up so,we're gonna go outside later though, around midnight or at midnight you know, more fireworks the adult version,my mother-in-law found this today at,fred meyer,uh because circles are for good luck for,the new year,we have the coins chocolate coins, for prospect chocolate coins for, prosperity,we have uh some money here rolled up,some dollars you know for luck, for the upcoming year some fruits and,i believe this is a chinese money tree, and then we have some confetti,um party hats poppers and i know there, are also fireworks for later, all i need is 21 days and i'm fine, genuinely, every single year,uh,the next day was like a mommy's ladies, night dinner,in anchorage alaska they just reopened, their indoor dining so they are pretty, strict i'll show you exactly what i mean, where they are really strict especially, with um contact tracing i wanted to,share with you a really quick, outfit of the night oh look at oreo, guys hold on we're doing outfit of the, night,so here's tonight's outfit there's ena,the hair this is actually uh clip-ins,from inh i'll link it down below Best Things To Do On Alaska Land Tour | Alaska Wildlife Viewing

Best Things To Do On Alaska Land Tour | Alaska Wildlife Viewing

hi i'm rob and i'm sandy, and this is the carter chronicles, today we are sharing the experiences we,had when we spent a few days in,and around denali national park, denali meaning the high one in the, athabascan language,is the highest peak in all of north, america the, entrance to denali national park is,located 237 miles, north of anchorage and 120 miles south,of fairbanks,on highway 3 which is also known as the, george parks highway, the main focus of our trip to denali was,to see wildlife, and as soon as we arrived the welcoming, committee was out to greet us,at this point in our trip our first trip,to alaska,we had been all over the state and still, had not seen a single bear, and i for one just couldn't leave alaska, without seeing a grizzly bear,in the wild patience paid off though, and we not only saw grizzly bears but, moose caribou doll sheep, and much more in fact seeing four of,alaska's,big five in one park on one day,was pretty amazing the only one of the, big, five that we didn't see was the wolf, here are some of the highlights of both, wildlife and the scenery of denali, from our trip, one of the best ways to view wildlife in,denali,is on their park road as big as denali, national park,is it actually only has 92 miles of road, that road runs from the park entrance to,kantishna, which is also known as the end of the, road, you can drive a personal vehicle to the, savage river trailhead at mile 15,but to travel past that point during the, normal season, you must ride on that park bus, there are two types of buses that run in,denali, then narrated tour bus which is tan and,the non-narrated transit bus, which is green the green buses are more, flexible in letting you hop off and on,they stop for wildlife viewing whenever, possible and are much cheaper, whereas the tan buses have a more strict, schedule and do not allow for getting, off and on,but they do offer a narrated tour while, driving,it was our experience that our driver on,the green bus was very knowledgeable, and would share information about areas,of the park we were in,or animals we were seeing so we really, didn't feel like we missed out by not, doing the more expensive bus tour,at all,as we mentioned the bus will stop for, wildlife viewing, but they also stop to take breaks this, gives everyone a chance to get out and, stretch,or use the restroom at one of the stops, there was a temporary visitor center set,up,that had horns and antlers for us to see,it was amazing how heavy some of these, were, there were also some exhibits that were, displayed from the resident artist that, year,as far as visitor centers on the park, road though there's really only one, located at mile 66 on the park road,is the isleson visitor center here our,bus stop for us to take a break, use the restrooms explore the exhibits,or you can even venture off on a hike, from there,it's a beautiful facility with amazing, artwork displayed, and rangers are there available to,answer any questions that you might have, they also have a huge glass window for, viewing denali, which can only be seen about one third,of the time,so the other two thirds of the time, there is a frosted outline on the glass,to show you where it would be,if you could see it,one of the most beautiful and most, terrifying parts of the park road,is polychrome pass as the name suggests,it's an area showcasing many colors but, also it's a very narrow pass with a,plummeting drop off on one side, you've heard of white knuckles before, but i got to experience, purple thumb as our daughter was so,terrified going through this, area she squeezed my thumb to death, this one is not for the faint of heart, mosquito alert nowhere else in the, entire park, had bugs like wonder lake did thankfully,we had bug nets to wear and some, repellent bracelets to wear that helped, even though some of us decided to just, stay on the bus for this stop, this is the place that if the wind is,still and denali is visible, you can get some of the most beautiful, pictures of the mountain and its, reflection in the lake,we did the transit bus ride all the way,to the end of the road we got to see,all 92 miles of the road that denali, offered, and getting the obligatory picture by,the sign that makes it,official it took a little over 13 hours,to make the round trip,to kantishna and back which made for a,really long day,but it was definitely worth it,at the time of making this video the, park bus routes are limited,so if you're wanting to do a bus ride in,denali be sure to check out the, schedules and routes,on the park website besides seeing a,grizzly, another bucket list item at least for,our daughter, was to see the famous denali sled dogs, she was so excited to see the dogs in,person that she had, previously seen on the park's puppy cams, and website,at the dog kennels visitors are, encouraged to interact with the dogs, and pet them as much as you like they, also offer, demonstrations of the sled dogs at work, obviously in the summer they can't use, normal sleds so a,modified all-terrain sled on wheels is,used for the do

👔 What to Wear 👗 - Celebrity Cruises

👔 What to Wear 👗 - Celebrity Cruises

hi this is linda with traveling flamingo, are you about to be sailing on a,celebrity cruise do you want to know, what to expect in terms of the dress, code well we had our own fails and we,want to help you so you will be prepared, for your cruise all that and more coming, right up,thank you thank you thank you we just, hit 15 000 subscribers i remember, starting with one view a day and mostly, from our family it means a lot that you, take the time to watch like and, subscribe we love chatting with you, about your thoughts and experiences with, travel so thank you again and remember, memories are forever so make them, fabulous, let's get started with day wear, depending on where you are sailing you, will want different clothes for during, the day if you're going to the caribbean,or a warmer climate you'll want your, swimsuits cover-ups and sandals to be,hanging out by the pool,if you're heading indoors to the dining, room for lunch or to participate in one,of the activities having some casual, clothes like shorts a t-shirt sundresses, work great,if traveling to alaska during the day, you'll want to wear layers to stay warm, but also be ready for the rain pretty, much the same casual clothes that are, worn inside when exploring the ship, when packing having the most space and, organizing is key as you guys know we've,partnered with level 8 cases and they, are so good my sister has taken my,glitter carry-on bag i'm calling you out,in front of everybody i love to travel, and level 8 cases make it easy and give,me more space to bring back all my,souvenirs, level 8 makes innovative stylish and, affordable suitcases with awesome, features like integrated chargers laptop, compartments and a lifetime warranty the, other bag we have is the voyager,check-in bag and my favorite feature is,the wide handles on the edge of the case,so the entire thing is flat i don't have,to worry about the two pump bumps, running down the middle when i'm packing,my mugs, overall they're affordable durable with, cool features and style the next one i'm,getting is the two-toned yellow and, black case it looks so fun if you're in,the market for a new suitcase we highly, suggest checking them out many of their, cases are currently on sale and as an,added bonus using our link you'll get 10,discount on your purchase so head over,to level 8 and check them out, where we get the most questions is,around what to wear in the evenings and,the difference between smart casual and, evening chic let's start with smart, casual as this is most of the evenings, that you will be on your cruise ship, for women you can wear things that, include a dress skirt or jeans and a,casual top,for men you need to have long pants like, jeans or khakis and a polo or casual, shirt, this is where we made our mistake erin, has some really nice shorts and those, are not allowed it doesn't matter how, nice they are it needs to be long pants,so be sure if you are men that you're,packing a couple pairs of pants that you, could be wearing a pair every evening, for the evening chic this is what's,replacing the formal nights depending on,the length of your cruise you'll have, one or two evening chic nights, celebrity cruises is calling this a,reboot of formal nights it's meant to be,less dressy than formal night but you,can still get dressed up women can wear, cocktail dresses skirt jeans or pants, with an elegant top,men can wear pants jeans dress shirt,button-down shirt or sweater and a,jacket is optional, when we look at the difference between, the two nights for women it's really the, difference between a casual or an,elegant top and for men the difference,is,a dress shirt button down or optional, blazer we did see a wide range on the, evening chic night from when men wearing, jeans and a polo to men in tuxedos, some women also took this as an,opportunity to bring out the ball gown i,appreciate not needing the large ball, ground and for men not needing the full, suit as it can take up a lot of space in,suitcases, but it is important to know that t-shirt,swimsuits,bare feet tank tops baseball hats and, pool wear are not allowed in the main, dining rooms and at night shorts and,flip-flops are also not allowed so if,you're going to the mdr for lunch you,can wear your shorts and flip-flops but,not at night, you're also asked to follow the evening, dress code when attending the, performances in the evening at the, theater,so if you don't like dressing up or,putting on long pants there are other, options the buffet does allow for shorts, all the time and has some great food, this is a nice casual choice if you're,interested in it or you don't have time, after a busy day exploring to go back, and get dressed up,if you're looking for some lighter, snacks you can head to the cafe albacho, and the gelateria they have some stuff, there it's more like case cakes and, pastries but it's a nice little treat, when it comes to specialty restaurants, they're going to follow the dress code, for that evening so but many people do,take this as an opportunity,to make it a bit of a sp
