foreign,peppers,ah,what's good everybody welcome to another,abandoned video today we're inside this,really cool classic looking american,diner i mean,the red the chrome the white everything,in this place screams out like,1940s 1950s this place really doesn't,have a crazy history i know it used to,be a denny's,that business failed and somebody bought,the property,a independent family and they made it,this place and they made it pretty damn,awesome the thing is,this place had unbelievably terrible,reviews if you go on reviews online you,could see,one star after one star just overpriced,food,quality not being well so the place,ended up shutting down and,it honestly looks like they literally,left everything because there's syrup in,the,in the maple syrup containers there's,menus all over the place there's still,coffee mugs on tables everything's left,behind,so we're gonna be exploring this place,if you enjoy the video,leave a thumbs up and let's check it out,so i'm not sure if it was like,mold issue a structural issue or the,place just,plain went bankrupt but they really did,leave,everything left behind i mean none of,this stuff is really set up by people,it's just like the last shift happened,everybody walked away and,nobody cleaned up,got an old jukebox left behind,see if we recognize any music uh,i personally don't,see if we can change it oh,oh wow,i just got cd covers there you go,perfect song for a diner considering the,cover art is a diner,man i wish i so wish that we could play,the music in here right now,oh if we were able to play the music in,here right now it would add,such such a vibe to this place,beach boys echoing through here i know,right,a quiet diners is weird,got the grammy nominees got all,different,bands from 2006 green day mariah carey,coldplay foo fighters neil young,john legend bruce springsteen all the,classics,got the top rock and roll hits,ooh got prince,1973 top rock and roll hits,you still have kids drawings left behind,sippy cups these crayons are really,faded,got a painting of the,nathan's and coney island it's a pretty,uh,notorious spot right there,along with the red seats,and the white making everything pop in,here you also have the tin,ceilings which are pretty impressive,you know they don't make any ceilings,like that anymore everything,everything that looks like that's all,really old,just so wild i feel so post-apocalyptic,right now in here,like everything's just everything's left,got all sorts of selections here at the,diner,you guys let me know what your go-to,drink is,nobody's even unwrapped this like this,table was just sitting here in the place,and abandoned like they didn't even,clean up before they left,got a coffee spill right where the cup,fell,just wild to me,i really like these light fixtures,if the food was actually good here,according to the reviews they would have,done a really good job,because i mean who wouldn't want to come,here this is a pretty cool place to eat,just sitting at the bar,chair is like already broken,oh god,oh gross,still got debit cards left behind what,the heck,that's weird,a jurassic world,i guess that's when the place went,abandoned because i honestly wasn't sure,when this place went vacant,let's see if there's any goodies left,behind back here i got some old clocks,it's pretty cool even have the old phone,just sitting right here,you got all the forks and knives just,sitting,here just waiting for people to come in,sit at tables,so crazy,so this is where they were working,this stove has definitely seen better,days,pretty nasty really nasty,oh god,all that crud just sitting there,oh wow and the friars even still have,grease in them,that's disgusting,oh awesome here's a calendar this will,tell us exactly when this place closed,2018,check the ice machine,nothing,here's a storage room,not much left,got some christmas decorations,obviously for the holidays oh look at,that,so this place was a denny's and even,down here we have an old denny's book,left behind,it's weird that they would keep it even,past um,the new ownership and whatnot but maybe,it was like a legality thing,these halloween decorations are cool,he's an alien,i love halloween definitely my favorite,holiday,oh god this hand is weird and floppy,so there is a ton of mold back here i'm,slowly learning,and that's probably one reason for,closure along with the,terrible food quality but we're,continuing our exploration and i'm,walking into,probably the owner's office right now,you still have a ton of stuff left,behind i mean somebody took,the monitor for the computer but,the actual computer is still here,there you go denny's module 2,2010 promotion so even though we didn't,know much history going into this place,besides it being a denny's we're slowly,learning,what actually happened here so it looks,like denny's 2010 it was operational,back then,so sometime afterwards it was bought out,and it didn't last long only I'm Lacey Faye and I live every day like,it's 1958 people's reaction is it's,almost always positive this is who I am,this is what I like and I feel like you,should do what you like you should do,what makes you feel beautiful and you,dress however you want a dress that,makes you feel the most like you people,will stop dead in their tracks and,they'll just stop and their their eyes,are fixed on her as as we'll walk by one,place in town that kind of brings in the,nineteen fifties vibe quite well in the,local pharmacy a 12-volt drug and they,have a soda fountain they have a jukebox,and makes it a lot of fun let's do it,as soon as I put on the first 1950s,dress with my hair and makeup done,that's when I felt like I was finally me,I found my authentic self and I've never,looked back since then I really honed in,on the 1950s because of my grandparents,they got married in 1955 and their,stories it just made it sound like the,best time ever everything's beautiful,colorful happy optimistic,we bought our home four years ago and it,was built in 1953 we tried to pack as,much in as we can while keeping it,authentic I don't want it to look like,it's a fifties Museum I want it to look,like it's an authentic nineteen fifties,home that you've walked into when people,walk into our house for the first time a,smile comes on everybody's face,our 1950s kitchen I've tried to do as,authentic as I could and I think the,appliances works better it was built to,last forever that you would keep that,forever and I think so I mean a fridge,didn't run for 70 years that's fine it's,not stopped yet,the only room that's not decorated 50,was my son's room we let him choose it,feels so normal to me now that I,wouldn't really think of it as different,anymore when we first moved into the,house and started getting more objects,secondhand I always thought that was,kind of weird but it just got to be so,normal and now it's like fun you go to,the thrift store and find something that,just makes our house perfect this front,section is true vintage one of my,favorite ones I just barely found a,couple of months ago and it's actually,like a early 50s late 40s another one of,my favorites just this one and I love it,because it was given to me by the,original owner to me the 1950s style is,normal I understand that too outside,folks looking in that it could be weird,but I think everybody's weird in their,own way everybody's nerdy about,something and it might as well be,something that you love

hello everybody,welcome,now so i'm sitting here in the garden i,haven't been out today,uh,uh so,i wasn't really gonna do a video because,i've been out but,i've been waiting for a parcel to come,now i already did about a week ago and,it's come today,i'm quite looking forward to actually,and i did start opening it,well i thought i'd do it on video,instead,let me show you,i'm excited about it to be honest with,you,you see that,school dinners,from the 60s 70s and 80s recipes,now i all did that because,there's probably a lot of stuff in there,i haven't looked through it yet it's,probably a lot of stuff in there that,can uh you probably cook,but i want to try and replicate the,taste of school dinners,brings up memories,been a long time,so let's have a look through it,and see what they got see if we can,remember anything,right so it's from sally berry this cost,me i've got enough amazon uh it was poor,4.50 or something i can't remember me it,was only cheap anyway,let's open it up and have a treacle tart,jam tart,bread and butter pudding,college pudding,new college pudding,queen of puddings,queen puddings,can't remember that's old-fashioned,gingerbread pudding,jam sponge pudding pink custard oh he,remembers pink custard,cornflake tart,uh,red pudding,rainbow sponge eve's pudding he's,pudding can't remember that either,chocolate pudding with chocolate sauce,rhubarb crumble,country mincemeat tart,there's quite a few in here actually to,be fair,gypsy tart,mac cream dream topping,squashed fly pie,squash fly pipe,can't remember that either,so i need all the recipes,this slice is like a,dictionary thing uh what's it called,jack and all his thickness,tell me a story,one of the memories of,anyone who went to the british school in,the 60s 70s and 80s,has to be school dinners,many of us have fun memories of these,delightful chocolate concrete chocolate,concrete gods,oh that should be so lovely,and not so fun to memorize of,semolina lumpy mash and the unmistakable,home of cheese and potato pie,it's cool didn't where is it see if i,can get you in school dinners were,institutions simple and filling recipes,designed to fill generations of learners,so this could be quite good,because of budget style as well you see,do things on a budget brings you back,brings back memories,real food cooked from scratch using,basic ingredients,we didn't always appreciate them at the,time,they were often something to be endured,before we were free to go out into,playing field with our friends,yep looking back,you can fail to feel the twinge of the,nostalgia,as the thought of mashed potato being,served with ice with an ice cream scoop,i remember that yeah,on your plate,and you used juggerman custard yeah,remember them in the metal jars turn,them over i remember that it's all,part of it,with skin waiting yeah get the skin on,the top,oh wow i'm looking forward to doing this,so,if you would like to let me see me do,some of these,which i'm going to do so anyway,let me know what you'd like me to do,obviously i can't put sorry about the,banging,it's over the road,there's a,i can't put a pile up because there's,nobody like five things,so go through and leave me a all recipes,which i probably have to google to see,what the pictures look like back then,because i can't remember,it's a quite interesting book,and it's very simple basic instructions,you know i mean what's that cheese and,potato poison you can see that with a,light sitting out there,probably can't,but uh,i think it's gonna be interesting this,one and i'm looking forward to doing it,so there's
