hey there today i'm going to be showing,you five new dinners that only require,about five ingredients not including,seasonings of course i really hope you,enjoy this and find a dinner for,yourself today let's go start cooking,to kick us off today we are making this,no peek chicken and oh my goodness this,recipe will seriously impress you my mom,used to make me something similar to,this when i was growing up and it's so,good so after i greased my 9 by 13,baking dish with nonstick spray i added,in my one box of zadaran's yellow rice,next add in a can of cream of mushroom,along with one can of cream of celery if,you don't care for these particular,cream of soups you could always use any,type of cream of soup you like and then,go ahead and add in two cups of water,and give this a stir everything doesn't,need to be well combined just kind of,give it a rough stir,i found that my favorite chicken to use,for this recipe is chicken tenderloins,and i'm using about seven of them of,course if you want to use chicken breast,you certainly can just go ahead and cook,this in your oven for an additional 10,to 20 minutes or until your chicken is,cooked so now i'm seasoning the chicken,tenderloins with a dash of pepper and,seasoned salt there is quite a bit of,salt in this recipe as it is so i'm just,adding a little bit of that seasoned,salt in i'm covering this with aluminum,foil and it's baking on 350 degrees for,50 minutes after those 50 minutes of,baking i removed the aluminum foil and,now i'm going to be sprinkling about a,cup of shredded sharp cheddar cheese,over the top i'm going to let this bake,in my oven for an additional 15 to 20,minutes,here's my plate of dinner i served this,with steamed green beans on the side and,oh my that chicken is so juicy and full,of flavor and the rice is cooked,perfectly i know this isn't the most,gorgeous meal in the world but it is so,so good,now we're making this sausage with,cheesy tortellini to get this one,started in my pot of boiling water i'm,adding my 12 ounces of cheese tortellini,go ahead and cook it according to the,bag directions and you could use any,type of tortellini that you could find,at your grocery store now over to my,large pot i'm adding my one pound of,italian sausage in i'm removing the,casings on the sausage and adding it in,but again you could use any type of,italian sausage you like and then i'm,going to break the sausage up and cook,it through,now that our tortellini is cooked i'm,going to remove about a fourth a cup of,the water that the tortellini is cooking,in and i am going to reserve it for the,sauce you'll see why in a minute but i'm,just going to drain our tortellini now,and set it to the side now that our,sausage is cooked i'm going to remove,any excess grease in my pan,and here's why i love making this dinner,so much now you're just going to add in,24 ounces of your favorite marinara,sauce along with the reserved pasta,water give this a stir and let it simmer,on your stove for about five minutes,after those five minutes of simmering go,ahead and add your drained tortellini in,along with about 3 4 cup of parmesan,cheese give this a stir let the cheese,melt down and then it's ready to serve,i served our tortellini alongside of a,side salad with spring mix cherry,tomatoes sliced green onions and dried,cranberries and avocado and then for the,dressing i just used this ball house,farms classic ranch it's really good and,i do recommend it this tortellini tastes,like you spent hours and hours trying to,make it but it's just so simple to throw,together,now we're making this barbecue chicken,pizza with an amazing two ingredient,pizza dough recipe but before we get,started on our pizza i do want to thank,walmart for sponsoring today's video and,if you know me i'm sure you know by now,i really do love shopping at walmart i,get so many different items from there,but they happen to send me this adorable,valentine's day themed box and i want to,show you kind of like what's inside of,it to get an idea for valentine's day,for yourself or for your friends but as,you could see here they sent dove milk,chocolate next this beautiful cute cake,pan it's shaped as a heart and then this,fudge brownie mix who doesn't love fudge,brownie mix and then what i'm most,excited for is this fondue machine i,have always wanted a fondue machine my,entire life but walmart has everything,you need to create a special valentine's,day for everyone you love for less they,also sent a cheese board and cute little,candles this box was custom made for me,but you could purchase all of these,items separately at walmart or through,walmart.com to make your valentine's day,extra special this year now to begin on,our barbecue chicken pizza to my,electric mixer or you could use a large,bowl go ahead and add one cup of plain,greek yogurt followed by a cup and a,half to two cups of self-rising flour,and then you will mix this all together,until it forms into a ball and then,knead it for about five minutes

today we're in the test kitchen making,five ingredient soups it's a perfect,food soup oh it's like a hug in a bowl,five ingredients are more than enough to,make a satisfying soup but the trick is,to make strategic choices each one needs,to really bring something compelling to,the table looking so spicy and hot and,delicious I can't wait to dig in,my five ingredient soup is clam chowder,reason being clams shellfish of all,types have tons of flavor so as far as,ingredients go it's one that brings a,lot to the table very very quickly and I,think it's one of those soups that's,like a very simple fast cooking amalgam,right of like just a few core,ingredients so I'm just getting the heat,in there I'm just starting with a splash,of water just so none of the clams kind,of singe against the bottom of the pot,I'm just gonna cook them until they,start to open and I'm going to pull them,out as they open,they're gonna cook further in the,Chowder so like there's not really a,danger of you under cooking them,necessarily if that makes sense you know,different clams take different amounts,of time to open shellfish much like,using a uh mandolin don't get greedy you,know if one is taken just a little too,long to open all the other ones are done,give it a minute after that minute you,know what,don't bother it's just not worth it so,this one you know is like mostly open,this one like what are you up to buddy,you're not the biggest clam in the bunch,we were just gonna say this one,isn't going to make it,clams are done I'm gonna pick the meat,out of the shell discard the shells and,I'm gonna pour the liquid through a,strainer just to reserve one thing that,clams do not have is fat right this is,slab bacon part of why I use lab bacon,for this is you can really control the,cut on it pre-sliced bacon is almost,always too thin slab bacon tends to be a,good bit drier easier to slice and we,have these nice thin lardon shapes which,are going to retain some of their chew,and bounciness in the Chowder I need to,give the bacon a bit of a head start in,terms of rendering before I put my,onions in the Bacon's really giving me a,head start on Flavor here so starting to,get some Browning lowering the Heat and,just going to let it sweat out render a,little bit more gently just because I,don't want it to create,super dark Fawn that's going to be,picked up by the clam liquid and water,and cream and turn it into like brown,clam chowder this is the strained clam,juice doesn't look quite like water I,mean obviously like it doesn't really,have any viscosity it's just slightly,opalescent,it's clammy it's salty I'd say we're,pretty good here like it's golden and,it's somewhat crisp but there's still a,little bit of texture still a little bit,of chewiness to the lean and the fat,onion,taking off just a few tablespoons of the,Bacon Fat I can always introduce it,later and now I'm going to sweat out The,Onion I don't want it to Brown really,it's probably going to pick up a little,bit of that fond just get it soft Yukon,Gold potato gonna throw some water in,there we're gonna simmer the potato,until it's tender I'm just going to get,the heat up a little bit,little cake tester slide right through,that's beautiful reintroduce the clams,reintroduce the clam liquid give a big,splash of heavy cream a grind of black,pepper,just looking at the consistency also,bacon can go in and we can reserve some,bacon for topping the bowl I haven't,added any salt to this whatsoever,I could use a pinch,so just want to boost the heat a little,bit make sure that kind of simmers,flavors meld okay I'm gonna take this to,the Bowl one of the things I also really,like about Yukon Gold is if you're,looking to thicken the Chowder but you,don't necessarily want it to taste,creamier you can Mash just a few pieces,of the potato and just kind of stir it,in and adjust the consistency that way,and this is where a little extra bacon,really does wonders,crack black pepper boom done five,ingredient clam chowder,for something that's like clams potato,cream bacon Etc it's like surprisingly,light,it's very satisfying bacon so clutch,cream so clutch honestly that is like,full-on delicious we work within the,constraints and I think we we nailed it,my soup is a kimchi chicken which is,kimchi stew so it's something I grew up,having all the time the version that I'm,making today is a nice kind of blueprint,from which you can really go off and use,you know whatever meats or proteins that,you have what would I do without the,scallion honestly I've said this in,every episode my favorite allium it is,so versatile separate greens from whites,and you could just keep it chunky the,whites were going to just chop our mints,and that will serve as the aromatic base,this is just your standard Little Pork,Chop that you can find in any,Supermarket I prefer it with the bone in,you can even use a little bit of ground,pork if you don't have little pork chops,or hey guys welcome back to my channel in,today's video I'm sharing with you five,five dollar dinners it has been quite,some time since I have done a five,dollar dinners and I thought that I,needed to bring them back so all of,these meals I got everything at Walmart,I would pick the cheapest store around,you to get these meals please just keep,in mind that where you live products,might cost different than where I live,that's how I judged,how to make these meals and what,ingredients and keeping the cost in mind,so I will share with you everything that,I got how much I spent and then I will,break down each meal and then all of the,ingredients and instructions will be in,the description box give it video a,thumbs up if you like it please share I,appreciate that and let's get into the,video,okay here's everything that I got at,Walmart,these are for five meals,um and I spent,with taxes,26.26 so,foreign,foreign,foreign,foreign,so this is some of my favorite bread,it's a dollar at Walmart deli and,sometimes you can go to the back and get,these for like 25 cents,and just eat them that day or put them,in the freezer thank you,blue red blue,so we're gonna use this bread and some,cheese we're gonna have grilled cheese,and tomato soup I am gonna put some,seasoning in the tomato soup the cream,that I put in made it a little creamy,and we're gonna put some seasoning in,there,thank you,foreign,foreign,here's the soup I put in,a little bit half and half because,that's what I had you could just do milk,or water whatever you want put in basil,onion powder and then all of that bread,made probably about 10 to 12 of these,this is what we're gonna have,um tonight so turned out really simple,and easy it's a really good winter meal,if you have croutons croutons or,goldfish are actually good in tomato,soup,foreign,okay y'all so for this five dollar,dinners,it makes a ton of food and it really is,five dollars,all you're gonna need is a bag of brown,rice this is like 88 cents at Walmart,okay,and then you can also buy this 15 bean,soup this is really good there are like,instructions on here if you want to make,it more filling or add more stuff but,honestly,it it usually comes with it comes with a,seasoning packet in it you literally,just have to do water you can add onion,or diced tomatoes or whatever like to,make it more filling you can even add,ham like a ham bone or sausage if you,have more than five dollars,um I'm just gonna Add Water it comes,with seasoning,and then here is some more one dollar,bread,at Walmart and so we will cut this up,later with butter and eat that,um I'll probably chop up an onion just,because I already have that here,super simple let it cook in your crock,pot all day and then cook the rice how,you normally would cook it and it's a,lot of food especially in the winter so,we're gonna do that we're getting a cold,front today,it's going to be super cold so it's,perfect for us today,okay so these are optional but I am,going to put in some of these beef,bouillon cubes so I'm just gonna do two,of these and then drop them in I don't,have any diced tomatoes so I'm not going,to do that I do have an onion I'll do,that and then I'm just gonna do like,garlic powder,onion powder,that's probably it,all right this has been cooking all day,long I did have to add one more cup,of water to cover the beans,but it looks really good,this is not going to take long I'm just,going to pop it in the oven really quick,at 350 to heat it up,foreign,foreign,dinners it's going to be Pizza Diaz,which are quick and easy and we're going,to dip them in ranch all you need is,mozzarella sauce,um,if you buy the Hunts one at Walmart it's,like 82 cents my husband used it the,other night on accident so I just have,this one from Aldi,and then pepperonis and then flour,tortillas and this is what's all five,dollars for this meal,foreign,foreign,thank you,thank you,thank you,thank you,foreign,dinner I'm gonna share is fried rice I,think I may have shown this in a video a,long time ago,but it's super easy all you need is the,bag of rice that was in like the,previous meal,for like 88 cents,soy sauce is really cheap if you don't,have it on hand already you need eggs,which you probably already have on hand,and then I just buy this little pack,um a frozen vegetables you can even do,canned honestly that's cheaper,and you're gonna need your rice cooked,so I just cooked the rice in the instant,pot,and I'm gonna throw it in like a skillet,and fry it up,um it's like super cheap and easy my,kids love it you could put chicken or,pork with it if you wanted to for more,money but we just like it like this,all right my rice is cooked you can just,cook the whole bag however you yo everyone i uh,this isn't my kitchen but we'll be back,in my kitchen soon anyway today we are,back with another cooking video i,thought i'd try and keep it simple and,make everything with five ingredients or,less actually five ingredients,there is one small caveat to that i'm,not going to include the oil that i cook,in,or salt and pepper so,hopefully that still counts hopefully,you'll dislike my video because,i've click baited you into thinking it,was five ingredients when actually a,sprinkled salt on something i mean it,doesn't really show dislikes anymore so,it's it's fine,i mean but don't all right let's just do,it,weird indirect intro,okay by the way i'm going back to my,kitchen now this is i'm somewhere else,i'll tell you in another video,all right first up we're making chicken,and broccoli noodle stir-fry ingredients,as follows chicken ketchup mannis that's,like a sweetened soy sauce kind of thing,indonesian i think good stuff,some noodles i'm using some egg noodles,over rice noodles because i think,they've got a few extra grams of protein,in which obviously makes all the,difference right,broccoli i'm using tender stem sometimes,also known as broccolini turns out it's,not just italian for broccoli and,finally an egg of the chicken variety,so chop the chicken let's not show too,much footage of that because it's grim,heat a pan or wok and pour in your oil,preferably sesame because you're gonna,get a load of nice flavor from that,transport your chicken into the pan and,then just like fry it a bit,whilst that's cooking you can chop your,broccoli this is what chopping broccoli,looks like,and then that can go in your pan as well,cook your noodles as per instructions on,the packet,that should only take a few minutes and,drain them and add those to the pan as,well,now for this ketchup manus,don't go too crazy because this is more,like a dark soy than a light it's quite,thick so you don't need loads of it then,give that all a nice little mix around,in the pan before pushing over to one,side,a drop more of oil,probably somewhat unnecessary crack your,egg in and then just scramble it using,your utensil of choice i'm just using,chopsticks because they won't scratch,your pan unless the korean chopsticks,which usually like silver or some kind,of metal anyway then just mix all that,together you might want to chop some of,your noodles so they clump together less,and then just dish it out easy tasty,loads of protein just all around belter,next up risotto,chicken don't worry it's not all chicken,breast this is the last one,garden peas,parmesan veg stock in whatever form you,want i've got this weird little jelly,pork thing and lastly risotto rice,firstly gonna give that chicken a drop,of oil and some seasoning then i'm gonna,stick it into a preheated oven on about,180 degrees,next i'm going to prepare my stock yours,might obviously be in liquid form,already or powder form or whatever i,would say if you're using one of these,things that i'm using just use half,because i made a slight miscalculation,and i reckon it would have been better,with half because slightly on the salty,side right all right risotto rice i used,about 125 grams because i was just,making this for one person,pretty good portion and you'll see that,shortly anyway,throw that in a pan turn the stove on,obviously give that a drop of oil,mix it around a bit just so the rice is,all nice and coated and then just give,it a couple of minutes to heat up before,starting to add your stock,my pan was a bit too hot there so i,turned it down a bit because i don't,want all of my stock to evaporate too,fast before the rice cooks it's not a,problem you can just add more water but,there's no need for it to be that hot,you're just looking for a nice gentle,simmer once that's all cooking you might,as well grate some parmesan this is what,grating parmesan looks like from three,different angles actually it's a,microplane but potato potato,i'm not sure if anyone actually says,potato if you do that's strange behavior,all right keep adding more stock every,time it's getting low you'll do this a,fair few times before it's cooked but,i'm not going to show you every time,because that would be boring right when,it's cooked take the chicken breast that,you remembered halfway to cover in tin,foil out of the oven by this time your,rice should be pretty much done or very,nearly so just dump in your peas and,give them a couple of minutes to heat,through,finally add some of your parmesan into,the pan and then keep some back for the,end,again give it a little stir and then you,can just plate it all up i sliced my,chicken breast because it looks,marginally better than just sticking a,full one on top,finish with the last bit of parmesan and,there you have it proper good mate,um,all right next we are making a creamy,prawn rigatoni so you'll need prawns a,chili this isn't a hot one,garlic some cream cheese out with,philadelphia lightest and some rigatoni,or obviously your pasta of choice,so

- Am I having regrets?,It's a little weird.,The flipping doesn't (gasps),(beep),Hi, I'm Alexis.,And if you know anything about my cooking style, you know,I love using an ingredient in as many ways as possible,it cuts down on food waste and it's better for your budget.,So today my friends, Betsy and Katie,have challenged me to make a three course meal,using only five ingredients.,I don't know what they are, but I think I'm excited.,I'm ready.,- I'm so scared for you.,- Love this! Okay!,Initial thoughts, I'm like, these are all ingredients,I have at home.,Dessert is gonna be weird.,For my surprise ingredients,I have corn cereal, chickpeas, shrimp, lemons,,and carrots.,- So I know at home you've got a pantry.,So we are gonna give you a access to a few pantry,staples to help you a little bit along the way.,- And what are those pantry staples?,Thanks guys.,For my pantry staples I have flour, olive oil,,sugar, salt, and garlic powder.,I really felt so excited seeing these surprise ingredients.,And I was like, I can totally do this in my sleep.,But I really just kind of blacked out and seemed to forget,that I won't have a full pantry.,I'm gonna brainstorm.,The shrimp shells could be made into like shrimp stock.,Carrot tops could be like a chimichurri.,With the chickpeas I can make aquafaba.,Wait, do I get any kitchen tool I want for this?,- Absolutely.,Yeah.,- Score!,Whenever I do chef out of water, I have whatever,ingredients I want, but a weird cooking tool.,So maybe this will be,easier.,(high tempo drum plays),(beep),With whatever I do I wanna make sure it's like properly,appetizer, main course, dessert.,Okay. I have a plan.,I don't know how I feel about the plan, but I have one,and we'll see what happens.,I'm so nervous.,I don't know what I'm doing.,- Is this harder than chef out of water?,- This is definitely harder.,So maybe this will be easier.,I'm gonna start with dessert.,I'm just gonna do really simple.,One to one, sugar and water.,Betsy and Katie told me I could use water,very generous of them.,It's making my life a lot easier.,Normally I would blanch the lemons before,but I'm gonna skip that today.,'Cause there's a lot to do.,When you're making a simple syrup,you want the sugar to completely dissolve,and come to a boil, so it becomes like that,nice syrupy mixture.,My simple syrup's boiling.,I'm just gonna pop the lemons in and let them go,for five, ten minutes.,I'm gonna move on to my streusel.,I would love some butter right now, but,you know that's part of the challenge.,I also don't really have one of these in mind,,so I'm really just winging it.,Gonna add some sugar and some salt,nice balance of flavors there.,I'm gonna add a little bit of the infused simple syrup.,- How you feeling?,How you feeling?,- I don't know.,This is weird.,Maybe I need more sugar.,Let's see.,I mean, this tastes pretty good.,I thought I'd add some olive oil,because I don't have the fat from the butter.,I don't want it to taste like olive oil though.,So I think I just need to be like pretty sparing.,I feel like I'm a kid, like in the pantry, just like kind of,like grabbing things and being like, does this work?,I'm hoping that some of this kind of like clumps together,like a little cereal cluster.,If this works, I will be truly, truly,truly shocked and very impressed with myself.,My lemons are done though.,I think I'm gonna pop the lemons,on a sheet pan and then pop them both in the oven,and then move on to the next part.,The last component of my dessert, is to make a meringue.,Usually to do this, you would use egg whites,but obviously I don't have any eggs,but I do have chickpeas.,In vegan baking it's really popular to use,aquafaba for meringues, for, even for savory dishes.,I've never done it before.,We'll see what happens when I try.,(beep),So to do this I'm just gonna pour the liquid in.,I just, it's hard to believe that this works.,Save these for later.,All right.,Just whisk.,(whisk whirs),So it actually looks kind of like egg whites.,If I was making meringue, I would start adding the sugar.,In this case, I'm gonna use the infused lemon simple syrup,really bringing it home, low waste guys.,And I hope that works.,- How you feeling?,- It looks like it's kind of working.,So fine.,Soft peaks.,I'm just gonna give it a little taste.,Um, I'm not sure the simple syrup is really doing its job.,So I'm gonna do two things and add regular granulated sugar,and some lemon zest, which I think are really gonna bring,that the flavors of meringue whipped cream home.,And we get to use the lemon in another way.,Win-win.,Let's see if this helps.,(whisk whirs),Nice. It's a little weird.,Wow. I feel a lot of things.,We'll start with the bad.,The lemons didn't quite turn out the way I expected.,I'm gonna rectify it by just chopping them up.,The corn flakes look amazing, but maybe I should try some.,Hmm.,We're gonna start with crumble and then I think creamy,and then some lemon.,And I'm just gonna repeat that again.,Double layer.,So cute.,I think

i'm constantly moving it around i still,have garlic pieces in there i don't,necessarily want to sit in one place for,too long i'm also pretending like i have,a lot to do because there's only five,ingredients today we're in the test,kitchen making five ingredient pasta,dishes i crave pasta every single day,pasta is sort of like looking into a,mirror and being like who am i today,five ingredients is enough to make,something that doesn't feel like you've,sacrificed on flavor at all that's good,oh yeah,pasta for me is,almost equal to life,you know there were some rules to this,challenge five ingredients being the,main one and we had a couple freebies,you get the pasta being one of them this,is the one i'm going to be using it's a,little analetti i refer to it as an,adult spaghettio it's just a really fun,easy shape to eat it's great in really,loose sauces i got some extra virgin,olive oil some butter and some salt they,gave me salt and pepper very kind once,again so those are my free ingredients,what i think is nice about this pasta,dish is that it i personally like food,cold and leftovers i think uh certain,pasta dishes especially ones that aren't,like a cream ford but more of a tomato,uh you can kind of get away with eating,them cold a little better it'll be a,nice saucy fully covered little noodle,ringo and a little cheesy little shrimpy,everyone's made a version of this at,least some point in their life we're,gonna have the shrimp real quick just,right down long ways i'll nip it at the,tail so we just get the full meat and,the tail stay on there and i like how,they curl instead of just being like a,just like a,it does like a,you know,and it'll make a nice little bite let's,pick some herbs real quick parsley um,you know it's versatile i love it it's,got a deep vegetable flavor all right so,we've got our parsley and then a little,tarragon and i'm just going to pick the,leaves off on this one all right all,right we're going to give the parsley,just a little rough,a little rough go let's get the water,going,yeah that's about right all right so,we're going to salt it to taste like the,atlantic ocean not the pacific ocean the,atlantic ocean and what i do like about,dried pasta is that you know it comes,together pretty quick the hardest part,is boiling the water a little olive oil,a couple tablespoons there no big deal,we're gonna have this slowly all right,i forgot i didn't need to sweat anything,so adding your loose tomatoes to your,hot oil you're gonna make a mess that,was a big no-no,but we did it anyway,you know i got a little add i suffered,my whole life so i don't want to go,walking around and start telling stories,about squirrels or something because,then we're going to overcook our here are 10 dinners that require only,five ingredients,first off i'm allowed three freebies,that do not go against the count of my,ingredients,salt pepper and oil because everybody,has those,and if you don't you shouldn't be,cooking i'm breaking out the air fryer,for,air fried pork chops with mashed,potatoes and green beans,the five ingredients for this dinner are,pork chops,croutons green beans mashed potatoes and,eggs,you take those flavorful croutons puree,them in a food processor and you've got,the most delicious breadcrumbs that's,going to be our breading along with some,egg,i'm going to salt and pepper the pork,chops dip them in my egg,and then into the breadcrumbs and,they're ready for the airfryer,then for my sides i'm just going to,saute some green beans in,olive oil salt and pepper and of course,my mashed potatoes are ready,this is not cheating to say you're going,to buy some refrigerated mashed potatoes,it definitely shortens your grocery list,so that you're not buying,potatoes cream butter and everything,else you're making fresh so why not,that crouton shortcut might be the best,bread crumb ever,golden brown and crunchy cooking with,five ingredients definitely takes the,stress out of cooking,and with this meal i didn't even break a,sweat i'm going with an elegant,seafood dinner next salmon asparagus,bread crumbs rice and dijon mustard i,said cooking with five ingredients,is less stressful i'm even going to,throw most of this dinner right here on,a sheet pan,cook it all together and we have minimal,pans to clean up brushing dijon,is going to act not only as a flavor,ingredient but also as,the glue to get our topping to stick,using a seasoned bread crumb also,eliminates,ingredients while adding extra flavor,now just drizzle it with a little olive,oil so it gets nice and golden brown,i'm going to get my salmon going then,i'm going to toss my asparagus with a,little oil salt and pepper and add it to,the sheet tray about halfway through,while my salmon cooks i'm going to get,my rice going it should all come,together at the same time,again stress-free cooking look at this,dinner,these five ingredients are fit for,company as tomatoes ground beef,and a little shortcut this,pepper stir-fry mix i've simply roasted,the spaghetti squash with just a little,oil salt and pepper,now i'm just taking the strands out and,we are going to make this,into a casserole these italian style,tomatoes are also a good shortcut,because they have garlic,and basil and oregano in there so,again a few ingredients into one just in,the skillet alone is already five,ingredients,and i still have two to go but i didn't,cheat,okay this is going to require some,strength,i don't usually love spaghetti squash,but this looks,really good and this would appeal to my,keto friends as well,this looks like a comforting casserole,if you were going to splurge for a sixth,ingredient i think some fresh basil or,parsley,would look really pretty on top but i,can't do that because y'all might call,the,ingredient police on me keeping with,casseroles i chose this next recipe from,all recipes because it had the word,easy in it it starts with ground beef,and then it adds a couple creative,convenience products that tie in a bunch,of flavors just in,a single jar i love creamy enchiladas so,this is perfect,you just simply add the salsa con queso,straight to the ground beef,just to thicken it up even more i'm,going to add some of the shredded cheese,into the filling and then the rest on,top next is jarred salsa that's acting,as the enchilada sauce in this casserole,you could definitely sub,red or green enchilada sauce in place of,this but i'm going to stick with the,recipe,then you just fill your tortillas roll,them up stick today i am sharing with you some easy,delicious five ingredient recipes so,stay tuned,this video is in collaboration with abby,over at simplified saver and abby and i,actually have a lot in common abby has,three young children and she comes from,a teaching background she was a teacher,and now a youtuber and that's the case,with me as well abby lives in texas i,live in oklahoma which let's face it is,almost the same thing and both abby and,i make a lot of videos in our kitchen,showing what we are making for our,families on a budget or to save time or,just to make meals that our kids will,eat that our family will enjoy so when,you're done watching this video be sure,that you go over and check out abby's,video on the same subject five,ingredient meals let her know that i,sent you and i will leave a link to her,video in the description box below if,you are coming over from abby's channel,i'm so glad that you're here i'm mindy,i'm married to my husband daniel we have,three children who at the time of this,video are 12 9 and 8 and like i said a,lot of my videos happen here in this,kitchen and they revolve around what i,am doing to save money or to save time,or just to find a way to feed my family,in a creative way so i hope that you,enjoy this video and i hope that you,also maybe stay wild take a look around,see if there's something else here that,you are interested in watching and if,you like it i would appreciate that,thumbs up to appease the algorithm and,consider subscribing click that little,notification bell so you know when new,videos are coming out because i don't,always post on the same days and the,same times for this recipe i am using,two red bell peppers these are pretty,large i'm using one package of potato,gnocchi this is just the standard you,know 17 ounce package i'm gonna use,about half a cup of this pesto which is,sort about half of this jar one cup of,half and half and one package of smoked,sausage smoked sausages are fully cooked,i am going to use this smoked chicken,sausage with spinach and feta this came,in an imperfect box it's been in my,freezer so i need to use it up and,that's it for this let's get cooking i,really feel like you could sub a,different kind of vegetable if you,wanted for this or i guess you could,leave it out you can leave out the,sausages as well i think that asparagus,would work well i think that broccoli or,zucchini would work well totally up to,you we just happened to have these,peppers i thought that they would,complement this and kind of bulk up the,dish a little bit so it's basically like,you know a one pan meal,got my sausage and my peppers here in,the pan and i'm just letting them saute,a little bit on their own before i add,the other ingredients i did add just a,smidge of olive oil here at the very,beginning i probably could have lived,without it the sausages will render just,a little bit of fat as they cook but i,did it just to be on the safe side make,sure that nothing sticks to my pan i'm,gonna go ahead and add my pesto and i'm,just eyeballing this i'm using about,half of this seven ounce jar so about,about four ounces which would be half a,cup i didn't want to go very heavy on,the olive oil for sauteing because you,know pesto has oil in it so i knew that,i would be adding some oil to the dish,so i don't want to go too heavy on that,plus we have the half and half there's,gonna be plenty of richness in this dish,i'm gonna let that all saute together,for another couple of minutes before we,add the rest of the ingredients and,finish it up adding my gnocchi now and,i'm gonna try to kind of break it up as,it comes out of the package and my half,and half by the way i let the pesto and,the sausage and peppers simmer together,for a couple of minutes probably about,three minutes before i added the gnocchi,and the cream so i had that all together,i'm just going to stir it i want to,bring it up to a simmer and then i'm,going to pop the lid on and i'm gonna,let it all simmer together for probably,about five to seven minutes until the,gnocchi is tender it doesn't take very,long for gnocchi to cook but um since i,don't have a lot of liquid in this pot,and so i can't submerge all of my you,know ingredients i want to make sure,that i pop the lid on and that i keep,all that steam and all that heat in the,pot so that everything cooks together,but i'll bring up the liquids to a,simmer first we are simmering so i'm,going to pop my lid on i'm going to turn,the heat down i'm going to check on this,in about five minutes and see where,we're at if it needs a few more minutes,i will let you know,i can't believe i did this again you,guys,i can't remember which video it was that,i made last month where i talked about,scorching the bottom of my dutch oven,and i was able to get it cleaned off but,some of you gave some suggestions and,one of them was to put dawn dish soap,and water in here and just heat it up,and that it would help kind of loosen,all the stuff on the bottom of the pan,so th
