How to Make Dinner Rolls in 30 Minutes/30 Minute Rolls
believe it or not you can make homemade,yeast rolls,in 30 minutes these rolls are easy,delicious,picky eater proof and the entire family,is going to love them,hi i'm leanne from your homebasemom.com,and this recipe for 30 minute rolls is,one of the most popular recipes on my,blog,it has hundreds of comments people love,that that doesn't take,four hours to enjoy a homemade roll all,you need are a few ingredients and 30,minutes,let's get started so this roll recipe,makes 12,rolls which is about the perfect amount,to feed a family but if you've got a,reduced-sized family like i do you can,easily divide this recipe in half,all right we are going to use the bowl,of our stand mixer today to make our,rolls,this can totally be done by hand too if,you don't have a stand mixer,and we're going to start with two,tablespoons of,dry active yeast okay now,initially that may seem like a lot of,use to you and it is but we're going to,make these rolls in 30 minutes and this,amount of yeast is what helps,make the rolls rise quickly and but,don't worry that the yeast,does not give the rolls a really yeasty,taste so it's not overly yeasty so,two tablespoons of dry active yeast,we've got a fourth of a cup of sugar,we have a third of a cup of oil now you,can use canola oil vegetable oil,olive oil avocado oil whatever your,preference is,and then we're gonna add in a cup and,two tablespoons of,warm water now you want your water,temperature to be between 105 degrees to,115 so that it,activates the yeast and doesn't kill it,if your water is too hot,it'll kill the yeast if it's not warm,enough it won't activate the yeast,we're going to give it a quick swish,here,and then we're going to let it set for,15 minutes until the yeast gets all nice,and bubbly,one thing i like to do to help my yeast,proof a little bit faster especially if,your home,is a little on the cool side is just to,put a towel or a plate or something over,the bowl,and voila it's going to be nice and,foamy and bubbly we are ready to add in,our other,ingredients we are going to add in one,egg,a teaspoon and a half of salt,and three and a half cups of flour now,today i am using all purpose flour,but you could also use bread flour if,you have that,then we're going to put it in our stand,mixer and we are using our dough hook,we are ready just to knead it for a few,minutes until it's all nice and soft and,smooth,after a few minutes of kneading our,dough is nice and smooth,and soft and we're going to take it out,and divide it into 12 rolls,now to divide my dough i like to just,use my bench scraper,and you can get technical if you want,and pull out your little food scale and,weigh,each roll to make sure they're all the,same size but,i'm not that technical or precise so,we're just going to take it and divide,each half into six pieces,and then we're going to take our a,non-stick baking spray and give our,pan a light spray i am using a 9 by 13,pan,all right then we'll take each of our,pieces of dough and just with a quick,little roll of our hands we'll,form them into a ball and again if,they're not all the same size,i'm okay with that if you're okay,so the rolls have risen for about 10,minutes if you want to give them 15,you've got a few extra minutes that,works too you can see they've gotten,bigger,but they are also going to rise more in,the oven so,don't worry if you don't think they're,quite big enough yet so we're going to,pop them into a 400 degree oven,and we're going to bake them for 10,minutes,30 minutes later and you have beautiful,delicious,homemade rolls that smell amazing,now for the taste test nice and light,and fluffy,of course we're going to add some butter,there is no need to wait for a holiday,or a special occasion,to enjoy homemade rolls all you need is,30 minutes thanks for joining me in the,kitchen today,you can find the recipe for these 30,minute rolls and the description down,below,and be sure to click over here to check,out my other recipes here on youtube,and as always i'd love for you to,subscribe to my channel by clicking down,below,and turn on that little notification,bell so that you'll be notified every,time a new recipe drops here on youtube
