HOW TO MAKE AN AIP HASH | AIP Hash Recipe | Quick and Easy AIP Meal

hi shanna here welcome back to my,channel all about finding joy while,learning to live well with autoimmunity,i am so glad to have you here so today,i'm showing you how i make an,aip hash so aip hashes are something,that you can make a big batch of each,week,you can portion them out you can stick,some in the freezers you have on hand,for meal prep,it's great to take when traveling and,it's really really easy so,when i make a aip hash i don't use a,recipe,i simply choose a protein lots of,veggies and whatever seasonings i like,so you can use grass-fed ground beef you,could use,ground chicken ground turkey ground pork,you could use like grass-fed ground,sirloin any kind of protein that you,want,and then the veggies that i'm using,today,are sweet potatoes so another thing i,love about hashes is i love that you can,not only change up the type of veggies,that you use but also like,the variety so i have here like a,japanese sweet potato,i have a purple sweet potato and i have,a hannah sweet potato,hannah white sweet potatoes are my,favorite i love them and then i,am using onions so i have a couple,different kinds of onions i,love onions i have some mushrooms the,i'm using,the baby organic baby bellas today but,you could use,white ones you can use any kind of,variety i have some carrots here,and then i also have an avocado here,just to remind me to tell you that after,i make a hash and i go to eat it i love,to like chop up like,half of an avocado and just eat like a,piece of like a little bite of avocado,with each bite of hash too i love that,um so today i'm using grass-fed ground,beef and then as far as seasonings i am,using organic coconut aminos i love,coconut aminos and then i'm also using,garlic powder today,and seaweed salt so you could use pink,salt himalayan salt,any kind of unrefined sea salt is,awesome and then i'm also,asked what kind of pans i use a lot so i,thought i'd show you so,in this case so a lot of times i use,stainless steel,i have an all a set of all clad,stainless steel pots and pans,this one is a green pan so it's a green,pan you can get them at target or amazon,i'll put a link if you want to check,them out so the reason why i use two,pans is because i'm impatient,and i just want my food to cook faster,so i get,my onions and my ground beef or whatever,ground meat i'm using going in one pan,and then i get my sweet potatoes going,in another,the sweet potatoes are which take the,longest and then i'll add in my carrots,too,um to the same pan with the sweet,potatoes and then i just like stir it up,as i go so i've got both going at the,same time,and then i add in my chopped mushrooms,to my ground,meat and my onion mixture and if i'm,doing cauliflower rice i'll add that to,either pan,and then at the end i'll just throw it,all together,and add my and i add my seasonings like,throughout usually all of the coconut,aminos at the end,as you can see there are so many ways to,change up aip hashes with the meats with,the vegetables with the seasonings,you can use fresh herbs you can cook,with different kinds of healthy fats,so today i'm going to use coconut oil to,cook,my my sweet potatoes my carrots in so,some other veggies that i'm not putting,in my hashes today but that i,love to is like summer squash zucchinis,you can put all kinds of things if you,want a recipe for an aib hash there's a,ton of them online so you just,so if you just google afp hashes also a,heads up aip hashes are super easy to,heat up i love them heated up and just,like a skillet,with some like you know bacon fat or,some coconut oil and get it kind of like,crispy i love that so i'm gonna go ahead,and start peeling and chopping,and this is something that's great if,you have kids who can help you peel and,shop,this is fabulous it makes aip hashes go,way faster,so there's a lot of different ways to,cut sweet potatoes my husband cuts these,completely different than i do,um i probably this is probably not,well the best way this is just how i,like to cut them not a chef not,professionally i'm trained this is just,how i do it fastest,um so i make these little circles,i like them i like mine pretty thin,because they cook faster once again i'm,a bit impatient,and um,i also like because they get a little,bit crispier and it's just,i just found that this is like fastest,for me to chop them but my husband's,fast and he does it a whole different,way,all right so i have everything chopped,up now i'm going to go ahead and throw,it on,just a heads up i wanted to show you all,of the different colors of,vegetables in this hash there are,there's orange there's white there's,purple,mushrooms different onions you could,even use a red onion so just a reminder,that,the aip is not just about foods to,exclude,it's just as important to focus on what,foods to include and so getting a,variety,of those nutrient dense healing foods is,really important,if you're at the beginning of your aip,journey and you're like hello and welcome back to my channel,today I'm going to show you how to make,a sweet potato breakfast hash I have,been on the AARP diet for a few days now,and I've had this for breakfast each day,and I've really enjoyed it and I thought,I was gonna better cook another lot for,the next few days and I thought I may as,well film to show you because I've been,enjoying it so much and you may enjoy it,too the recipe is AARP friendly paleo,vegan vegetarian friendly and it's so,good and so tasty and I never really,combined these ingredients together,before and I am absolutely loving it and,as always I've written a full blog post,which I'll leave down below which will,have the full recipes step by step,instructions and you can click through,to pen bookmark and save whatever you,want to make it and make sure to leave a,like to subscribe for more videos and,comment to let me know if you give this,recipe a try and what do you think so,let me show you what I am making okay so,these are the ingredients that I'm using,in my personal favorite combination this,is third fourth day I'm making this and,I am loving it we've got broccoli I've,got a huge sweet potato over here I'm,using coconut oil frying and using salt,as my seasoning I've got a gonna use a,couple of apples garlic and onion and,I'm just gonna cook it all together,basically and as I said I'm an AARP diet,so these are the ingredients that I,happy friendly there are so many ways,you can spend this if you're on a,regular Paleo diet if you want a vegan,vegetarian I will write loads of ideas,in the blog post down below but this is,how I've been enjoying it and I do enjoy,protein and meat and chicken and fish,seafood all through the rest of the day,I've been transitioned from vegetarian,to meaty can't diet with us a RP diet so,I kind of still have been having veggie,breakfast I might have some chicken soup,as well on the side but I'll get plenty,of protein through the rest of the day,but in the blog post down below there,will be loads of protein ideas okay,we're gonna get started by heating up,the frying pan adding a bit of coconut,oil to it and getting our veggies,chopped starting with the garlic and,onion the garlic and onion very roughly,chopped in my coconut oil I'm just gonna,get this starting to soften,while I peel and chop my sweet,Hado and the sweet potatoes all peeled,and very roughly chopped and we'll add,it in with the onion and garlic the,sweet potato is in the frying pan I,added a bit of salt a bit more coconut,oil or give it all a toss through and,get it,styling stuff in and then we'll chop and,add in the broccoli then I added in the,chopped broccoli you can add more,coconut oil if you even add olive oil if,you want instead as much as you want and,we'll just keep cooking it until it's,browned and and a little bit add in,peeled and chopped apple to go in,through as well and just cook it until,the Apple is suffering all the sweet,potato and other vegetables have,softened and it's golden and crisp to,your liking it's getting there the,kitchen smells pretty amazing as this,cooks now if you want you can cook it,enjoy it the breakfast straight away or,you can cook it in - it's almost done,cool it down pop it in a container and,store it in the fridge and then you've,got breakfast for days ready to go and,that is my preference of doing it,because then it just makes it easy in,the morning you've got this all cooked,up you just heat up proportion and,breakfast it's ready to go almost happy,I'm going to take it off in about a,minute what I like to do is drizzle over,about a tablespoon of olive oil give it,a final toss throw that just adds more,flavor and good nourishing healthy fats,to so I'm gonna do that and give it a,minute,and then take your feet and then you go,it's off the heat it smells pretty,amazing and our breakfast is made and,done a bit of batch of cooking doesn't,take long and now breakfast done for a,few days I'm going to leave it in the,frying pan to kind of cool down a bit,and then move it up with a glass,container over here I'm ready to go with,my spatula from cooking and I'm just,gonna pop it straight into there once,it's cool enough and then I've got,beautiful breakfast and that'll last me,for through for a few days and it's AARP,friendly paleo vegetarian vegan friendly,- and there's loads of ways to adapt to,add in some protein AIP,friendly ways to just sprinkle on a bit,of nutritional yeast if you like of,course you could coop with meat as well,but I've just won a veggie breakfast and,then I have meat and bits through the,rest of the day but that is the video,for today thank you so much for watching,make sure to leave a like subscribe for,more videos and comment to let me know,if you give this recipe a try and write,a check down below for the link to the,blog post with the recipe and loads of,adaptations so thank you so much for,watching and we'll see you again soon,bye

hi everyone this is brenda from mainly,hybrid homesteading,today we're gonna do an easy,healthy comfort food sweet potato hash,anybody can cook this,we're going to be using uh sweet,potatoes,and i have,like three good sized sweet potatoes,here,don't worry about the size you know if,you want more sweet potato in it then,use larger potatoes but if you want a,smaller batch then use smaller ones,and we're going to i like to use a,roasting pan,you don't need a pan this big but,i started out using a 13 by 9,baking pan a pyrex dish,and my recipe fit in there but we're,going to be taking this out of the oven,every 15 minutes,and um we're going to be stirring it up,and i find that you know i'd have a,loose potato here and there,um so use what you have i just find this,easier because then i'm not,i'm making less of a mess and if i want,to make a larger batch i can,so we're going to be,chopping our potatoes and i'm just going,to be cutting it,into cubes,and we're gonna i'm just going to um,put a little olive oil in the bottom of,our bottom of the roasting pan,i just use this brand it's uh the lucini,extra virgin olive oil,it's not the bottom of the barrel but,it's still good quality and,decent price,i'm not saying that my cutting,strategies are,perfect,my son is a chef and he probably cringe,at my uh,my cutting techniques here,the main thing is you just want to make,sure that you're cutting it,in even,pieces so they'll cook evenly so if you,want bigger pieces you can have bigger,pieces they'll just take a little bit,longer to cook,my,okay,so you probably noticed that i did peel,my sweet potatoes first,but if you like to have the peel on,there we just scrub them really good,first and then you could use them that,way,so,we have our sweet potatoes in there,and just going to drizzle a little more,olive oil on there,and the total recipe calls for three,tablespoons of italian seasoning,i'm gonna put two,with the potatoes here two tablespoons,and don't worry about the recipe i'll,put it down in the description box down,below,and we're going to put,a pound of,ground meat that i've already pre-cooked,and i had put a tablespoon of italian,seasoning with the meat while it was,cooking,you can use,any kind of ground,meat that you like,i'm using,some mousse that my,daughter and,son-in-law gifted me,if you're following paleo then it's,preferable that you try to use,grass-fed,meat,or at least without any hormones in it,this recipe would also be good with some,ground chicken or turkey or even some,sausage,i'm just doing the basic recipe today,but you could certainly add some onions,in here and,if you want more color some zucchini,this is going to cook for um a total of,45 minutes at 375 degrees,and i'm going to be setting my timer,uh for at 15 minute intervals and just,kind of stirring it up and then putting,it back in the oven,if you were going to put zucchini in i,would suggest that you do it in the last,part of the cooking so that it doesn't,get all mushy on you,another good addition would be some,peppers,but the peppers are not on the,at least not on the autoimmune protocol,okay,so,we're all ready to go,and my oven's warmed up,at 375,so in 15 minutes,we're gonna pull it out and mix it up,again and stick it back in for another,15 so a total of 45 minutes,and like i said if you're putting bigger,pieces of potato in there then it may,take longer,or your oven may you know have different,temperatures than mine,so it's already smelling good in here,so our hash is all done,it smells yummy in here i love the,italian spices,i had to put it in an,extra 10 minutes,so i wanted my sweet potatoes a little,bit softer,i love this,dish as a side dish or a main dish,i,sometimes will add some bacon to it,just to change it up a little bit it's,good for breakfast,and,just a,great comfort food healthy for you lots,of vitamins and fiber and the sweet,potatoes and,easy to make really,i hope you enjoyed this video and,we'll see you next time,you

welcome to real-world AIP I'm Stacey and,today I'm making red flannel hash a lot,of people ask you know what can I eat,for breakfast on AIP because you can't,have eggs and pancakes and stuff I know,that you read all the time oh you just,eat whatever you had leftovers you know,eat soup people just seem to want,something kind of breakfast tea that's,where scrambles and hash cumin,they're very breakfast tea and they're,if you combine I got the idea from this,cool 1955 cookbook I got at the thrift,shop I love looking through these old,books they give me tons of ideas I just,you know turn them into AIP,they always use organ meat and cool,stuff and there's always some,interesting things like for instance,this book says to make mayonnaise out of,mineral oil if you're on a diet,oh my google that and good they call,organ meat some grease there's a recipe,for squirrel in here there's also some,normal recipes it red flannel hash I got,this recipe on page 357 except I,modified it because the original recipe,wants you know butter weight potatoes,Dairy Milk so you know I made it AIP and,as far as the meat and this I got beef,brisket from Whole Foods I cooked it in,the crock-pot for like 10 hours with,some water and bay leaf and carrots and,onions and anyway I took the the beef,and I just chopped it up so it's chopped,up beef brisket,you could probably use any old kind of,chopped up beef and then for the potato,I'm using Yahoo tea of Lanka the reason,I'm using it is because it's very,similar to weight potato but you could,use instead of this because I know this,is hard for a lot of people to find,green plantain boiled green plantain,slice that up it'll be very similar in,this recipe oh you know you can use,white sweet potato one more thing Amanda,this so I'm gonna be using this,breakfast blend and if you want to make,it at home it's got salt garlic onion,oregano cinnamon turmeric and ceej,anyway this stuff's really cool so let's,get started this is four tablespoons or,a quarter cup of coconut oil make it fat,if you have some bacon fat laying around,paleo bacon fat use that in place of the,coconut oil and it will just be like,very very very good I'm gonna melt this,up and while that's heating I'm gonna,mix up my hash so in here I'm gonna add,this is two cups of that chopped beef,brisket that's already been cooked that,weighs 300 grams then I have two cooks,to here two cups of my weight potato,substitute I'm using Yahoo tea apopka or,like I said use green plantain or white,sweet potato these two cups of galatea,weighed 270 grams the red flannel part,comes in I'm using cooked boiled eat,chopped up nice and fine so this is 1,cup or 175 grams quarter cup of onion,minced that weighs 40 grams this was not,part of the recipe but I have some,tribes from my garden,and they're going in there throw in this,primal colored Breakfast Blend I'm just,gonna kinda I don't know like maybe a,half of cheese that's kind of good,1/2 of cup of what they want rich melt,can they call for so we're going to use,this a where these coconuts 90 grams,we're gonna mix this up the way I like,to mix things up okay now that I got the,oil melted I'm going medium on this,here's something that I learned from,reading bulletproof Dave a squeeze but,when you take your spices and you put,them over a hot pan and you shake shake,shake like this that Steve is going,right up into those little little holes,and it's getting moisture into your,seasoning mixes and then you can get,like mold and stuff thanks Dave Asprey,for that knowledge starting to smell,really good I'd say this is this looks,to me like four servings so here's what,I put in there this is the yo-yo and,coconut beef brisket beads on your,coconut milk and this thing just how,killer eats it all for you I put in how,many servings for so yeah I'm there's a,link below to the cronometer app if you,want to check it out one serving of my,breakfast red flannel hash is gonna give,you 80% of your daily value of vitamin,b12 nice amount of niacin and b6,impressive my money copper manganese,selenium zinc very nice 79 percent of my,zinc I like it and copper is 34 that's,perfect that's like you know two times,as much as Incas copper I'm loving that,so the carbs is actually 29.7 but you -,the fiber and then the net carbs of 25,which isn't bad only five grams of sugar,out of all that and protein very nice,amount of protein it's like half of that,protein you need all day and yeah all at,all I think it's a healthy step to your,day if you liked this video subscribe,below I put out new videos every,Thursday you can also find little clips,from my everyday AIP life on patreon and,their lens feature which is free I have,a link to that below too anyway I hope,to see you soon and it's,be healthy

hi everyone i'm audrey and this is it's,on,if you're new here welcome if you're,returning welcome back i'm really glad,you're all here,so today we're going to have what i,would consider like a kitchen sink hash,which just means it's a bunch of stuff i,had in my fridge,that needed to get used up and i made it,into a delicious nutrient dense packed,breakfast,so this is basically just canadian bacon,it's nitrate free aip friendly it,doesn't have any spices or anything like,that in it that it shouldn't,and then i just paired that with a bunch,of vegetables i had some beet greens and,some broccoli to use up and some,mushrooms to use up,really breakfast hashes are one of the,easiest ways to get,lean protein fat and a lot of vegetables,into your diet,so a really nice way to start your day,lots of nutrients,and the fat will stay with you so i,added a little bit of fat to this,because the canadian bacon was quite,lean,and it was just a little bit of avocado,oil but this type of a meal would keep,me full for hours i wouldn't need,any more food for quite a while so if,you,like that kind of a meal you're going to,love this video and even if you don't,like savory for breakfast this makes a,great dinner or an easy lunch as well,i hope you enjoyed as much as i do,without much more chatter let's get,cooking,so,you

10 AIP Breakfast Ideas (Autoimmune Protocol Diet)

in today's episode I'm gonna go over ten,autoimmune paleo or AIP diet friendly,breakfast ideas the reason I wanted to,do this video is because breakfast is,probably the hardest thing to really,kind of get your head around while on I,a IP I it's like I think eggs cereal,pancakes all of these things are normal,things on anyone's diet,and then when you go to AIP you can't,have the eggs cereals kind out and I,mean you can make your own cereals and,stuff you can always make your own of,anything but it's really difficult and,then also even things like pancakes you,can have but it's not really recommended,because you really don't want to start,your day off with a like sugary things,and only you know go down from there,with the blood sugar because otherwise,you're gonna get stuck on that blood,sugar thing and you really don't want,that either you will see one of my ideas,does encompass blank pancakes but let's,just get to that so I'm gonna go,straight into my list these are just,some ideas of what you can eat for,breakfast again just like most of my,lists not completely comprehensive there,are many other things you can eat but,these are just some ideas to just kind,of get the ball rolling for you so you,don't feel so paralyzed when it comes to,breakfast ideas while on AIP,so the first idea are those breakfasts,parfaits that I shared a few episodes,back I'll link to it here and I've also,linked to the post on my blog that has,the full recipe as well but these are,made out of coconut milk and gelatin and,can be customized in pretty much any way,with the toppings that you want and also,the ingredients that you put in him the,one I shared was for a pumpkin pie,coconut parfait that had sauteed apples,on top and raisins and it's just a,delicious good high fat kind of way to,start your day and you can always add,something else to it like a breakfast,sausage but I really like these because,they kind of remind me of yogurt and so,you can make them into parfaits or what,you want and they are very similar to,something that you may already be eating,while on like I stand an American diet,or Paleo they're also great because you,can make them ahead of time and then,just kind of grab and go with them in,the morning because I know breakfast,time is always one of those really,really busy times of the day and,anything that you can do ahead of time,so that you're not kind of in that,stressed-out mode really can help,especially set you up for the day,that you're not stressed and then also,just make it easier to accomplish this,diet in general the second idea are,soups,now if you haven't done a IP before or,haven't really been doing it having soup,for breakfast might sound like a strange,idea but it is kind of my favorite thing,to have for breakfast it's easy to,digest so especially if you have like me,I have a versions to a lot of things in,the morning I don't know what it is but,like I cannot have fish like don't get,me it's smelling anywhere near fish in,the morning I will throw up and just,other things like that I just there's,certain things I just don't find,palatable in the morning and I think a,lot of you suffer from the same thing,and so soups are easy to digest you can,bring them with you where you go you can,drink them out of a straw if you have to,like a smoothie or you can just reheat,them after having made them on the,weekend I mean again like they're easy,to make they are great for getting in,all kinds of vegetables soups I mean to,make one all you really need is like a,chicken or beef broth or stock and then,some roasted or steamed veggies you can,use pretty much any steamed veggie and I,mean even greens like leafy greens can,make a great soup and just kind of mix,them all together you can experiment,with herbs and some spices on AIP,but like a salt and just they're gonna,do delicious and like I said easy to,digest in the morning do have my a IP,soups batch cooking plan available now,for sale on my website and that one is,how to make four different soups like,four different servings of four,different soups in like an hour to hour,and a half period that you can either,make for the week or freeze for later,and,it gives you step-by-step exactly what,you need to do and it's a great thing to,have in your freezer for later in case,like a emergencies for those mornings,where you're just going crazy so that's,available for sale on my website I will,link to that below and it's also part of,my autoimmune collective AIP only,membership site so you can either get it,via just the book or part of the,membership site idea number three is to,have like a bowl of several different,components one of my favorite that I've,been eating lately has been some sauteed,mushrooms which dr. that particular day which is,i'm going to make you a breakfast hash,what i sort of eat for breakfast every,day,and i vary it depending on what,vegetables i have on hand,and then i'm going to share with you,what i had for dinner this particular,day,the dinner oh well both of them were,amazing but the dinner is now my new,favorite,you guys have to try there's a gal i,follow rock and robin i'll link her,below,i came across her video yesterday and,i varied the recipe to kind of make it,aip,friendly and oh my gosh,it was so good i'm telling you,everything i make of hers is so good so,i will link her recipe,in the description below if you want,exact measurements,now because i'm cooking for a big family,i just eyeball it,to be quite honest with you so and you,could,just eyeball it with this recipe it's so,simple but,so full of amazing flavor,in fact i liked it so much i may make it,tonight,it was that guys if you're hearing,noises we've got construction going on,outside the door over here so i,apologize but,i want to share with you some wonderful,news you guys,i went to the doctors last week i am,down,nine more pounds i got on the scale i,said that it's not right,you got to fix the scale and she said,get down off of it and get back on and i,went,what what,i am now officially down over 30 pounds,i can't believe it my clothes are,literally falling off of me look at always sure about the whole,leaky gut,discussion whether that's true or not,but i i,i think i'm finding that everything,starts with,your gut health and if you have good gut,health,you start having better health in all,different arenas,and i have to tell you you guys i have,not been able,to eat onions since 2000.,i had my first daughter when it was the,year 2000,i was then later diagnosed with,ulcerative colitis,which is also an autoimmune disease so,onions were a huge no-no why because,anytime i ate them whether in you know,onion powder,or regular onions oh my gosh,the worst stomach pains and cramps,of my life so i have not had onions,in all of those years and now i'm i'm i,ate them last night and no problems at,all i've been having onion powder with,all my food which i love i grew up on,onion powder and i haven't been able to,have it all these years,and due to this diet i i feel so much,better,the joint pain is going i wouldn't say,it's completely gone yet because,sometimes if i do eat something i'm like,oh,shouldn't have had that that must be a,trigger you know i have to make mental,notes of things that are triggering,inflammation,but you guys you guys saw me just,several months ago with my face,so swollen you could see the pain on my,face i can see it i look back at some of,my videos,and i'm i just i feel awful for myself,because i,remembered how awful i felt it you could,see it on my,face and now i just i feel like a whole,new person,and i'm eating clean healthy food is,just,the bomb.com when you feel great now,i have to tell you there are people that,are,die hard aip,diet people and they do everything by,the book,i am not that person because i have to,be realistic and i'm i'm going to be,honest with you guys,i cannot find organic in every store i,go to,there's always like a very small section,and i am starting to see,shortages in the grocery store where,organic is concerned,not all stores but certain stores and so,sometimes i'll go in and i'm like oh i,need to get some broccoli or some,zucchini or whatever and they've got,like one left and it looks like it's,seen better days and i'm like oh,shoot well i'll just get a regular,zucchini and i'll wash it really good,you know so i'm not perfect i'm not by,the book i want to be,i try to be but as far as my vegetables,and all that go i'm not always organic,my,chicken some of the the meats i get are,not always,all natural for the most part they are,but you'll see,in the video that i ended up get i i did,a grocery uh,pick up and they ended up substituting,some things for me that were not organic,or aip approved so,i recognize that and i'm not going to,eat those but some of them i will eat,because that's,that's all they had so anyway just um,keep that in mind when you watch this,video all right guys you ready to watch,it,i know a lot of you have said i want to,see what you eat so,you're gonna get to see it and i don't,typically eat lunch because i'm not,hungry,my breakfast is so filling and so,nutrient packed,and the avocado just fills me up,so i rarely eat lunch,and so really on this date it was just,breakfast and dinner,and then i had some strawberries and,blueberries for my dessert so,anyway this is a longer video so,
