Let's Eat with Mark Samuel, Episode 39 with Soozy's Grain-free and Global Tranz

okay, episode 39 we are rolling i got, mason sexton with susie's,grain free mike mimi, global trans this is going to be a good, one i,feel it thursdays i don't know like when,i get rolling here it's kind of like,by wednesday i'm kind of vibing right um,just good vibe momentum is happening so,uh thursdays are,are always a good show mason we're,talking, suzies give us the the day, time when it was started who it was, started with, what is the origin story yeah daytime i,mean, the first colonel the idea goes back, about five years now,is myself my partner susan i was the, gluten intolerant, person who was fed up with the options,in the supermarket and it started eating, paleo, and uh susan was the master baker and, came up with a great formula that was, grain free clean label, and i took one bite of that and i knew,we had something, and we formally launched the business in,september of 2017,so coming up on our third year in market,so there is a susie, there is yeah susie's her nickname kind,of a unique spelling with the s-o-o-z-y,but um yeah there is a susie and uh she,she was the original uh baker, extraordinaire,in the business how do you know her well, originally um we were a couple, and then we were no longer a couple but, kept running the business so so,basically, you were a couple started a business, then didn't become a couple because you, started the business,uh i would never put it that way,but i will say certainly starting a,business as a as i know you know,uh comes with a lot of different trials, and tribulations,so uh yeah you know we we have a,fantastic partnership now a great, friendship, and uh really both enjoying seeing the, business grow together, that's uh i like that actually um and, that shows that you both have good, character because,it is already hard to do right starting,a business, doing it with somebody that you might be,in a relationship with or not and then, continuing to if you aren't it shows, good character so,so i'll leave you with that one um as,far as 17,so you guys she's baking uh is she doing, that in a kitchen, and then how quickly did you start, moving that maybe into a commercial, kitchen, yeah great question so at the time she,was actually working on wall street, and uh she would bake to de-stress and,um that pre-dated 200 2017 was the, official launch but we were working on,this two three years before then just in,the kitchen, doing a lot of different runs started, talking to people in the industry about, what would it take,to take this recipe from the kitchen and, make it into a big batch formula that, was, something to be commercial you know, commercially viable in a manufacturing, facility and so,as most food cbg entrepreneurs know that,is a really big step,um we were very fortunate from the, standpoint of we bypassed that, you know commissary kitchen communal, kitchen sort of piece, and went right to one of the highest, volume manufacturers what we were doing,in all of north, america and ordinarily a company like, that, wouldn't want to have anything to do,with the startup but um i,i harassed them friend in a friendly way, over the course of about two months and,uh,ultimately opened their door and then we,were off yeah, let's talk co-packing for a second since, you just touched on that, for those that are getting into this, because that's what this is about about, value add right, those who are watching and maybe you're,in cbg or want to get in,uh the co-packing piece is such an,important piece yeah um,especially if you do get into the, volumes yeah, through the steps of approaching the,co-packer what do you think, were the the things that you provided, them, that that allowed them to to say yes, let's let's let them in the doors, yeah that's a great question and this is,obviously one of the early pain points, for a food entrepreneur so,you know if you think about any type of,manufacturing facility,uh the notion of working with a startup,is usually one of their worst nightmares, right because these facilities at least, the high volume ones and those are, generally the ones you want to work with,if you can, they want to have big runs big, production you know, allotments and um with a startup, any any company whether it's a startup, company there's always a lot of set up,cost there's always a lot of time, and so the tough part with working with,a typical size co-packer,is they know they're gonna invest a lot,of time and what's ultimately money with, you, and how bigger the order is going to be,day one you know every food entrepreneur, believes that oh,trust us over time this thing's going to,scale it's going to be massive etc,but they got to take that ride with you,so it's really hard you know i mean i i,don't think there's any magic bullet, there,i wish there were like everything you, know in this business and most business,in general it's relationship based, and at some point it's somebody taking a,chance on you and your vision, and i think we were lucky we had a very, strong early advisor that, that had some credit in the industry and,i think that showed

The above is a brief introduction to soozy's bread

Let's move on to the first section of soozy's bread

The Healthiest Bread To Buy In 2020 - Sprouted, Keto, & Gluten Free

The Healthiest Bread To Buy In 2020 - Sprouted, Keto, & Gluten Free

place city family what is up it is art,Bobby back at the grocery store for, another Flav City short this month is,all about helping you start the new year, off with the best possible products you,can put in your body at the grocery, store and today's short is all about, bread I mean look at the wall of bread a,lot of options are here and if you don't,know how to zero in on the ingredients,to read you might buy the wrong one what,is the wrong one right but look at this, you might buy something like this and be,deceived by the front because you're,like oh natural wheat that's what you, want don't listen to this this is,marketing the ingredients are something, you can't hide from so when you see, something either called cracked wheat, and enriched flour bleached unbleached, wheat flour that's the kind of stuff you, want to stay away from when you're,eating grains or eating breads that have,to be whole grains so words like cracked, bleached enriched unbleached are another, word for stripped grains they're not, whole anymore you don't want that, because all the nutrition is stripped, away so what do you do look for one word,in one word only what do you see right, here sprouted bread what do you see, right here art sprouted bread so why is,this so good cuz look compare the, ingredients you guys on the previous one,to this everything's organic in sprouted, spreaded seeds sprouted grains when you,do that your body is not only deriving, more nutrition from sprouted grains but,it's easier on your tummy to digest so,this is what they do this so if the, seeds are the grains in water for a,couple of days a tail forms and it has, sprouted this is the best kind of bread, you can get and if you have picky eaters,I'm going to tell you about this one in,a minute and I'm gonna bring hot dog and, hamburger buns with me but come over, here so I typically don't buy the bread, over here because first of all a lot of,the bad breads have preservatives that's,how they last so long I buy my bread, over here in the frozen section because, there's no preservatives in the breads, that are good and they're gonna go bad, after like a week or so so which ones, are good here we talked about this, before Ezekiel is the OG they're one of,the best because number one it's,sprouted and organic but look at the, ingredients here there, absolutely phenomenal here we go a,hundred percent organic sprouted grains, and fantastic in terms of nutrition but,I know you guys right I know some of,your kids they don't want this kind of,bread because it tastes healthy here's,what you do,get this exact loaf of bread this is,silver hills little big bread it doesn't,have quite as many sprouted grains in,there as the other ones but it still is,sprouted and if you remember back to my,ultimate grilled cheese video this is,the bread I use because it's soft and, pliable like a normal bread but it's,sprouted right so that's what I would do,but we have keto family out there we,have gluten-free family out there what,do you do let me show you this is by far,by far the best gluten-free bread I've,ever seen and it's this one it's Canyon, big house these guys do it right it's,their seven grain whole grain so what, does that mean I look at what the breads, made with and yeah there's a little bit,of tapioca, but brown rice whole grain sorghum whole, grain millet amaranth and what kind of,oil are they using I always go for that, extra virgin olive oil here's the, pitfall with a lot of breads right a lot,of gluten-free breads use inferior, simple starches what do I mean by that I,mean stuff like tapioca starch potato, starch white rice flour those are, nutritional and garbage you guys so I,look at something like this what's it,made with tapioca starch white rice, starch more tapioca starch it doesn't,have enough whole grains there's a,little bit of sorghum there but not, enough so really ingredients because you, don't want simple carbohydrates they, spike your blood pressure up a spike, your blood sugar and they don't say she,ate your hunger if you're gonna eat, grains I have to say she ate your hunger, now maybe best in class of any grain, free bed is this right here this keto, bread this is brand new look at this and,I'm so excited I have this at the store, now it's a base culture keto bread and, this is a cool company it's a,woman-owned right here right but it's,for net carbs first slice and look at,these ingredients water eggs almond, butter golden flax seed meal, psyllium husk almond flour apple cider, vinegar so here's what I would do if,you're gluten free and you don't mind, paying the price $9.99 it's pretty steep, this is even better because there's very, few if any grains in here there's just a,little bit of starch from arrowroot this,is the kind of low glycemic bread you, want to eat this is unbelievable the, price is pretty pricey at $9.99 if you, don't have access to this at Whole Foods,I'll put the amazon link down below this,is something I have in the fridge all,the time because it's great and then if,you want to get hamburger bu

My Favorite Grain-free Paleo Finds | Bread Pasta Tortillas

My Favorite Grain-free Paleo Finds | Bread Pasta Tortillas

what's up guys it's ren with paleochick, and welcome back to my channel,if you're new welcome glad to have you, here, today i'm really excited i got a lot of,stuff from whole foods and i'm pumped to,share it with you guys,as you saw in the caption of the video, which is probably why you're here is,they are going to be all, grain free so there are a ton of other, grain free things out there, but they just might not be paleo proof,so everything i share with you today, will be,both and about 90 of the products that,i'm sharing with you were found in whole, foods um,and the other 10 were on thrive market,if you're on a gluten-free diet, these are all going to be gluten-free it,doesn't go the other way around,gluten-free does not equal,grain-free before we get started the, obligatory, request please give this video a like, and wish my husband and i luck because, all the things that i'm sharing with you, guys, they're gonna be in my pantry just like, staring at me,it's gonna be a struggle guys and then, subscribe to the channel because i'd,love to see you back on the next video, and if you love this makeup look i,actually just filmed it and i will be,posting this makeup look, next week so hit that bell if you want,to be notified when i post it,i'm going to start off with the products, that need to be frozen,or refrigerated i'm going to start with, bread i try to steer, clear of gluten i personally find that,it triggers, inflammation in my body and also it was, just, recently associated with anxiety and, depression so,i don't really want gluten grain free, bread is going to be best found in the, freezer section, they're going to have the least amount,of preservatives because they're having,to be frozen, due to not having shelf stable, preservatives,um if i can figure out how i'm gonna, insert a picture, right here of the different paleo and, keto approved bread options,in whole foods there's susie's grain, free bread there's,paleo thin and there is base culture,we're going to be talking about susie's,and base culture i have not tried paleo, thin, but based on the price comparisons i,don't see that i will be trying it,if you're looking to kind of save money, but you want to try a grain free bread i,would start with susie's,it is the least expensive of the three, but it's also the only half, loaf the main ingredients in this one,are tapioca starch and almond flour, what i really love about this one is,that the texture of the bread really, held its form it wasn't super crumbly,it had great flavor um the one that i,got is the super seed so it reminded me,of just a really good like, whole wheat grainy like multi-grain,bread even though,it's none of those things okay the next, bread,is a base culture i actually have, two of these really love both of them, the cinnamon raisin bread, tastes just like regular cinnamon raisin, bread, the ingredients are a bit different than, the susies, but both of them are are really good, they're kind of unique in their own ways, the base culture bread has more of like,a,a gummy texture like more of a gluteny, texture, how about that capello's pizza crust, certified paleo the main ingredients, here, are eggs almond flour arrowroot flour, and cassava flour,i really struggled finding a pizza crust, that was grain free and, paleo approved a lot of them were gluten, free, there were things like cauliflower pizza, crust the number one ingredient,is cauliflower but then brown rice, check those ingredients birch vendors, waffles,i have tried these and they're really, good inserted right here you can see, they do have multiple flavor options, the main ingredients are water tiger nut, flour cassava starch and eggs, moving on to my favorite pasta fines, cappello's it definitely, takes the win for that today i bought, the gnocchi which is primarily just a,potato gnocchi, they also have fettuccine and lasagna, sheets all of which are grain free and, paleo, approved now here's the thing guys, potatoes on the paleo diet are a little, bit controversial, sometimes people say it's not allowed, other times people say yes,i'm definitely on the pro potato team, because,if potatoes are whole 30 approved, they will be paleo in my book the main, ingredients in this one,is organic potato almond flour and then, cage free eggs and it does have the, stamp of,approval for being paleo certified,i'm gonna take that as the paleo people, agree, that potatoes are okay even though it's,not the number one ingredient in these, almond flour is actually really high in,fiber and healthy fats,by the way guys i am trying to go as,fast as i can with this video, because i'm quickly losing daylight, sticking with the pasta theme i'm gonna, move on to,miracle noodle miracle noodle is really, interesting,um already made pastas,so they have this one is the angel hair, noodle but they do have like macaroni, fettuccine all kinds of different, options, and this is what it looks like,as you can see it's like a white noodle, that, really favors the texture of a spaghetti, noodle or just a regular pasta, the ingredients are just three, ingred

Best and Worst Keto Bread - What to AVOID (and what to choose)

Best and Worst Keto Bread - What to AVOID (and what to choose)

so it seems like everywhere you turn, around these days you're gonna find, another, keto friendly or low carb bread and it's,great to see this stuff coming out there,it's great to see people, putting their best foot forward when it,comes down to living a lower, carbohydrate lifestyle, but let's be real just because it's keto, doesn't mean that it's healthy or that,it's clean,or that it's truly even keto friendly, okay a lot of people can easily jump on,a marketing bandwagon and, slap a keto label with no real, regulation nothing's really, defining if it's keto or not so i'm,seeing a lot of these keto breads and, this started a while ago i did a video, when i went to costco, and i found that they had keto bread and,i uncovered, keto bread there and i took one look at,it and i was like whoa is this what's,out on the market right now,so i figured i'd put together a little, shopping guide to help you understand, what you should be looking for on a,label,if you're shopping for true low carb, bread because there's a few things you, really need to just be careful of hey if,you like these kind of videos you like, consumer reviews you like keto you like, low carb you like fasting this is the, channel for you so please do hit that, red subscribe button down in the bottom, right corner, and then hit the bell icon to turn on,notifications after this video a little, bit of a spoiler alert if you do want to,check out,a company called unbun foods i put a,link down below in the description, these guys have really nailed keto bread, and i know it might seem biased because, this is a how to shop for, keto bread video but truth be told, really is a stellar product so check, them out down below, they're made with almond flour made with, psyllium just a really cool thing, they've got tortillas they've got buns, they've got all kinds of stuff,so down below in the description but, let's also arm yourself with knowledge,so you know how to shop because, they're everywhere okay the first thing, you want to look for is net carbs this, sounds very elementary to someone that,is an avid keto person right but it's,important to note because i've seen a,couple of particular brands i'm not, going to name names, that claim high fiber and therefore, implying it's automatically low carb, net carbs are what matters not the fiber, content if the net carbs are still going,to be,5 6 7 10 grams of carbohydrates even if,the fiber is exponentially higher, that does not mean that it's keto, friendly so disregard fiber at the end,of the day,and look at the net carbohydrate number, that being said there's a curve ball so,if that net carbohydrate number,is factoring in sugar alcohols it throws,a pretty big wrench in things, because as far as what the fda requires,on a label, sugar alcohols can technically be,subtracted from the net carbohydrates,so that means you could have a bunch of,sugar alcohols in something, and it's going to tell you that it's low, carb even though those sugar alcohols, may contribute to your overall, carbohydrate load, not necessarily blood sugar but still, carbohydrates okay,so these are not necessarily always bad,but there's something you want to be,cognizant of okay, xylitol maltitol mannitol, isomalt even glycerin in bread you have,to be careful of,because there's a study that was, published in the canadian journal of,diabetes it looked at xylitol, and they found that about 50 of xylitol,is actually absorbed, meaning 50 of the carbohydrates from, xylitol were actually affecting, the person as way of carbohydrates so a,general rule of thumb,is to not follow what the net carbs say, when it comes to sugar alcohols, take the sugar alcohols divide it by two,and that is the true carbohydrate effect,so,simple math here if you have 10 grams of,sugar alcohol,in something you're gonna count five,of those carbohydrates you're gonna, count half of those because it's safe to,assume that 50,will get absorbed so in other words be,very cautious, with sugar alcohols a lot of times i'll,load them into a product to add flavor,to something that might be a little bit, bland, another thing is the types of fiber okay, chicory root is commonly used,in keto breads or low carb breads small, amounts of chicory root is fine but the, amount that is needed in bread to really, give it the volume, and the texture that they're after is,quite a bit and there's quite a few, studies that, demonstrate that chicory root can cause, some pretty severe, gastric upset another thing you might, see is inulin which is going to be an,even more concentrated form, again inulin can be used as a prebiotic, fiber and not always bad,but if you're consuming two slices of,bread you're gonna have a lot of inulin, which is probably gonna make you feel, fairly uncomfortable but when it's,combined with some other things then it,gets really sketchy, okay so now we're talking about the oils, here this is the big piece i need you to,be careful about, okay do not turn off this video listen,to this piece okay, first of all anything that says, hydrogenated, run the other way o

SWYD Episode 14! Featuring Mason Sexton of Soozy's!

mason how you doing, hey david how are you i'm doing great, how are you,i'm doing well thanks so glad you could, join us,yeah happy to be here um how's uh how's,your week going so far, wrapping up the summer week has been, good we've been busy this summer,um we're lucky in that sense but yeah, you know never enough time in the week, but we're doing well how about yourself, doing well you know wrapping up ice, cream season getting ready for the, winter,um congrats by the way on the new uh,whole foods nationwide launch with the,new cookie product, thank you thank you yeah we're really, excited about it,awesome well on a high level guys this,is episode 14,with susie's grain free uh incredible, brand and company,we've got mason sexton who's the,co-founder and ceo,um excited to have you on and really, pumped to hear a little bit more about, your journey and your story, yeah it's like to be here awesome well, you know definitely uh super casual, you know maybe we can start just a,little bit about you where are you from, where'd you grow up and how did you end,up uh in cpg and then and specifically,in baked goods, yeah so uh i'm from new york city, originally born and raised, still here uh it's been a been a tough,go with the pandemic but um,yeah new york city most of my life and,uh,i got started in this whole cpg journey, really as a,as a function of a personal need i was, diagnosed gluten intolerant about a,decade ago,and that was at a time where like,gluten-free wasn't really a thing,i mean it was starting to become one but,you tell people you were gluten-free,they thought, you know something was wrong with you,you know psychologically even at times, because they nobody could really wrap, their head around that as an,intolerance or an allergy as much and, when you went out to market then it was, really hooties and that was it,you know if you wanted to to get some, bread or you wanted to substitute a,gluten-free product and so,i met my co-founder susan a few years, later and was really frustrated with, those options in the market and i'd also, personally evolved to eat not just, gluten free but, cleaner you know for me and what that, meant was grain free, more of that paleo style nutrient dense, you know lower carb lower sugar, and the gluten-free options out there, really didn't capture that so when i met, susan i knew she had an incredible skill,in the kitchen to bake, and uh challenge her come up with a,recipe that wasn't just gluten-free but, that was also,grain-free nutrient-dense paleo and uh,she came out with a batch of muffins, that, blew my mind and i thought okay i want,to buy these at whole foods that was the, goal, and uh yeah we just kept taking all the, steps from there on out,so um that's awesome and i think usually, some of the most like the biggest, breakthrough brands come from really, solving a problem or a personal need so,you've got one brand in the marketplace, that is you know not to knock them but, maybe, just not a lot of options to choose from, and, maybe you know i don't know their, marketing strategy and how they're kind,of communicating with that next-gen,customer,but it seems like a great opportunity um,you know when i was kind of looking into, your backstory it seems like,uh you know you had some experience in,tech before you were also in finance, you're an equity analyst can you talk a,little bit about that transition from, because i think most people um you know, food and beverage yes it's a sexy, industry but it's incredibly challenging, but i also feel like those skill sets, from other backgrounds give you such a,serious leg up so,i'd love to hear a little bit about the, progression from the early days of your, other, career and how you made the shift into,uh in the cpg, yeah it's a great question i mean i did, start off uh,in finance as an equity analyst and one,of the great things about that job at,least for me at the time i was a,generalist i was on the buy side you, know early in my career, and i got to cover a lot of different, sectors and,and really as an analyst you're paid to,learn you're paid to learn quickly, and you're paid to come up with opinions, and a thesis on,certain industries and companies, specifically,so i did it for about five and a half, years it was a great experience,um and really gave me a solid base just,to understand you know, what a company looks like how it's,supposed to run you know what a good, balance sheet looks like what a bad, balance sheet looks like etc,um went to business school uh here in,the city and um,during that time actually launched a,tech startup during business school,at that time i thought well maybe one,day i'll be a private equity investor so,it'll be good to get some operating, experience, and uh decided this was the best, opportunity to do it during business, school and and built an application that, grew very quickly while we were in,school, none of us really had any idea what we,were really doing it was the early days, was this by the way was this while you, were at haas or was this a,uh separate yeah so actu

Grain Free Protein Banana Bread

Grain Free Protein Banana Bread

all right guys it's me back with another, recipe i mean who doesn't love banana, bread and then when it's good for you, too, that is like the best thing ever so,let's get started in making this because,i'm ready to eat it,i've already got one and a half cups of,protein powder in the bowl you're gonna, mix, all of your dry ingredients together, first, and then we have a half cup of and i,used erythritol but you can use stevia, however you want to do it just make sure, you get all your dry ingredients, combined really well then we have a,quarter cup of coconut flour,we've got four teaspoons of baking soda, and one and a half teaspoons of cinnamon, the cinnamon just kind of adds to the, homey taste of it since it's just a hint,so you're going to make sure you get all, that baking soda, blended up in,there get the cinnamon mixed around, okay and then you're going to set that, aside for a little bit and i've already, mashed up my two bananas in here, you're going to add all of your wet, ingredients this is going to be four egg, whites, and a tablespoon of,pure vanilla extract, and just combine that pretty good, now the magic happens, all right we've got all our dry stuff, here we've got all of our wet stuff here, when i mashed up those bananas there's,still a few little chunks in there which, will be so good when you bite into one, you're just gonna combine this super, well,i think growing up as a kid there's,nothing better than coming home and, smelling fresh banana bread, baking in the oven it's i mean it's the, best, there was always somebody at an event or,a holiday that brought the banana bread,or you go to a bake sale and there's,you know somebody's famous banana bread, and you know you want to get,a bite of that one because they make, them all the time, all right so,look at that, and you see some of the little chunks of,banana in there,oh this already smells so good, all right so i've already sprayed my,loaf pan,and we're gonna just pour this in,now by making it with the coconut flour, you have to be really careful when you, bake it do not over bake so you want to,start checking this one about 35 minutes,in,sometimes i have to bake it for about 50,minutes it all just depends but every, five minutes after 35 minutes i start, checking it,i'm trying to get all this goodness in,the bowl i don't want,to have that urge to lick the bowl, all right so we've got this all the way,in there, now with banana bread if you want,i'm keeping this just plain and simple, good old banana bread but you can always, add some chocolate chips butterscotch, chips you can add another fruit to it,you can layer some little banana slices,on top however you want to do it but the, nutrition info that i'm going to give, you for this banana bread is just for,the plain and simple, and i preheated my oven to 350,slide that baby in there, and try to be patient, all right i just pulled this out of the, oven and it smells so,amazing, but i'm gonna be patient and let it cool, for a little bit before i try slicing in,it,look at the little bites of banana, super soft and moist

BASE CULTURE CINNAMON RAISIN BREAD? IS IT A KETO KICKER? NICOLE BURGESS

BASE CULTURE CINNAMON RAISIN BREAD? IS IT A KETO KICKER? NICOLE BURGESS

i think we're finally testing something, appropriate, first thing in the morning, hey y'all welcome back to my channel if,you're new here my name is nicole and i,have lost 100 pounds over the course of,my health journey living a low carb, slash ketogenic lifestyle, and today we are going to be testing the, base, culture raisin cinnamon bread now i have, been eating this, mainly on my cyclical keto days i will, have that playlist in the i cards above,if you have no idea what i'm talking, about however i have also been eating,on my regular strict keto days too and, implementing it in my macros and i,love this stuff it is so so good and, they have a bunch of different, varieties i'm going to show you as well, but i wanted to test this one because,it's got the dreaded raisins in it,i know we all have like all these, stigmas in our head on,oh we can't eat that because it's not, keto that's not necessarily true guys, there are certain whole clean foods that, are good for us,that if we eat them that way we can, incorporate them in our daily macros and,it not kick us out of ketosis and i have, shown that on my cyclical keto, days if you watch those videos but i,wanted to test this because i know a lot,of y'all are interested in it but you're,scared to buy it,and see how it affects me now remember, what affects me,might not affect you the same so that's,why it's so important for you to go and, purchase your very own, ketone monitor the one that i highly, recommend is the keto coach because it,is the most affordable on the market, currently, and it's the most reliable from what i,have seen with other, monitors so this is one i always, recommend and i have a discount in the, description box down below, for your very first monitor y'all keep, asking me about the duelin i'm thinking, september but don't quote me on that,so if you already have a glucose monitor,go ahead and order this bad boy right, now,so you can see how you react to certain, products yourself so let's go test, baseline see where we're at this morning, eat a piece of bread, finally something appropriate for, breakfast and then we'll see how it,affects us throughout the day and i want,to show you the ingredients, the macros and the other breads in this, line here are the base culture breads, that i purchased,on amazon it's a woman owned company, which i also love, you can find their stuff in whole foods, too not all their varieties they also, have nut butters bars they've got a lot, going on,clean ingredients i was put on to this, from bobby from flav city is how i found, out about them, but we're gonna test this one but as far,as macros they have their original keto, bread, seven nut and seed bread and soft, sandwich bread six neck carbs for this, one and four for these, remember this one is six net carbs we're,going to look at in a minute,if you're wondering about macros this, one is the one we're testing,it is grain free gluten free, preservative free and what i love,is that all their breads are dairy free, ingredients on it are so spot on guys,we've got water eggs golden flaxseed, meal, raisin arrowroot flour cashew butter, almond butter almond flour, xylem husk powder apple cider vinegar, cinnamon coconut oil sea salt baking, soda applesauce which is apples water,non-gmo ingredients contains egg almond, cashew and coconut that is awesome,so it is so clean that like no funky, oils in it or whatever,so one slice is 90 calories 5 grams of,fat, total carbs is nine we've got three so,that's going to give us six net carbs, total of two sugars that's coming from, the applesauce and the raisins, and three grams of protein per slice, omg i love this stuff so much and it,tastes so good guys it is not, stiff it's not hard it is so soft and if,you, loved raisin bread prior to your health, journey like the bad raisin bread that's,filled with like 30 grams of sugar, this is going to do you just fine,so let's test and see how this affects,us today,i have high hopes baseline glucose and, ketones this morning it is 8 15. this is,a little off on here,75 for glucose we're coming in at a 0.4,on the keto coach monitor, now i have been reading in pretty high, ketosis all week post my carb, loading day on sunday so the very next, day i read a 0.8,and then every other day i've been, reading like a 0.9 almost a 1.0,but in the morning i do normally test, pretty, low it's usually after like my first, meal then i start to test in ketosis, throughout the day but we're at a point, four so we're right there,so that is baseline since you have to,keep the bread in the freezer or in the, fridge if you're going to be eating it,every day i'm not eating it that much so,i keep it in the freezer and i portion,it out in little, ziplocs here so i have a couple pieces,i'm going to eat the next couple of days,so i'm going to take one of these out, this is what it looks like up close when,it's not in the packaging, and i like to heat mine up in the, toaster not like necessarily toast it,but just get it nice and warm so here's,the piece that i'm going to be eating, just so you can see
