Making homemade cinnamon rolls from frozen bread dough

hey everyone welcome back today i'm,going to show you a really quick and,simple way to make,homemade cinnamon rolls and you will,thank me,later this is a really great recipe,and if you don't make them from scratch,which a lot of people don't or they,don't have the time,and making them from scratch is,relatively easy,however today i'm trying to make an an,easier route,instead of making the dough i bought,frozen bread dough you can buy that in,your,grocery and they have roads,frozen bread dough it is the loaf not,the rolls,the loaf and today we didn't find roads,but we found the store brand,so i'm not going to give a shout out to,the store just because,but because they didn't have the roads,rolls that i really wanted,but it's going to it be the same purpose,it's going to,be utilized just the same and but we're,just hoping the dough is as good as the,roads,frozen dough this is the loaf,as i mentioned the one that i got today,is a store brand and it came with five,loaves in one package,and the first thing we're gonna do is,we're gonna butter our parchment paper,you want parchment paper,not waxed on a baking sheet,and i put just a little bit of vegetable,oil so it does not stick at all,and i've got the second loaf over here,and it is approximately,four o'clock in the afternoon we're,gonna let this rise overnight,and when we get up in the morning this,dough should be all the way risen and,then we're gonna start making the,cinnamon rolls and i'll be back and show,you the step-by-step process to do that,it's super easy you'll thank me later,because these taste amazing,and you can make so many different,varieties of this,i was thinking about making maple but,i'm not sure if i'm going to do maple or,strawberry yet and then the regular,cinnamon roll so we'll be back,to show you the step-by-step process,once the dough,rises and you want to let it rise in a,fairly,warm place not it doesn't have to be hot,it doesn't have to be,like super cold but in a somewhat of a,warm place i'm gonna actually put these,two,loaves of bread dough on my stove,so that they can rise and hopefully in,the morning they'll be risen i'm sure,they will,because that will be over 12 hours to,rise,um and then we'll start with the,inside of the dough and i'll show you,how to bake these after we get them done,and how to cut them etc etc so we'll be,back once they rise,guys now we are going to,interpret you see it's been out,overnight,onto the,floured surface,and what you're going to need is you're,going to need some cinnamon,some brown sugar,and of course,some butter and a rolling pin what we're,going to do right now is we're going to,roll this out,i'm going to flip it over to the other,side,and we're going to roll that out,you guys probably can't see very well,i'm trying to,get it where y'all can see it all right,guys we are going to go ahead and roll,this out,and i was reading a bunch of different,recipes last night,and apparently you want to,leave this out i left it out for 12 over,12 hours,and i'm guessing,by what i read that you don't need to,leave it out that long,so and i didn't have the roads rolls,packages so we're just going to do it,we're going to wing it and i think it's,going to be fine,so you can see we already have our dual,rolled dough rolled out,you guys can see that i hope that's my,camera,tripod it's not working with me real,good this morning,then we're going to go ahead and we're,going to slather on the butter we've got,kerry gold,that's the best butter y'all the best,better,i'm gonna slather that all on,you want that to be generous because,we're going to put cinnamon,and i've got it on just a big old butter,plate which is like it looks kind of,crazy because it looks like wow it's a,huge plate for butter,usually i have like a butter dish but,this is what we use in our house,sometimes,we put two sticks on there so we got,lots of butter,all right,okay and that is that for that,we've got lots and lots of butter on,there if you can see,i'm going to do a double layer of,cinnamon because i love cinnamon,so much and sprinkle this on,all right and now we're going to do the,brown sugar,and you don't want to skimp on this this,is the one thing i'm always talking,about listening,to sugar and salt in recipes this is one,time,you don't want to because let's face it,cinnamon rolls,and cinnamon rolls,all right,you don't want to be skimpy this is,going to caramelize inside,so for those of you that have never done,this before,this will caramelize,and just make your cinnamon rolls taste,so good,okay,now you can add nuts if you'd like we're,not gonna do that this morning we have,kids gonna eat this,they're not allergic but we are not,gonna add nuts we're gonna just leave it,i think one of the little my little,granddaughters doesn't like nuts but,she's not allergic,so that's a nice thick layer,of brown sugar,and we're going to go ahead and do more,cinnamon,here's my coffee but i told and I'm so happy to be bringing these,recipes to you they're a tried and true,recipes and they are delicious and easy,so today I'm going to show you how to,make my version of cinnamon rolls very,very easy you do not have to make the,dough from scratch you're going to use,frozen bread dough that you get from the,supermarket so easy and they make their,own glaze they make their own frosting,so all you have to do is turn them out,when they come out of the oven you're,going to turn them onto a plate turn,them over onto a plate and the icing is,there already and I'm telling you they,are Stellar they are so delicious I've,been making this Cinnamon recipe for,years and years I never have a failure,with it it's always delicious so let's,get started on this wonderful recipe I,know you're going to like it thank you,for stopping by thank you for all of my,new subscribers I'm so it's excited and,thrilled and happy from the bottom of my,heart that you are here to spend some of,your time with me so let's get started,on those cinnamon rolls,so today I'm going to be making my,favorite cinnamon bun recipe that I,usually make on Christmas morning they,are so fast and easy and they are so,delicious you won't want to go to the,store and buy them ever again because,they're so easy to make so I'm just,using roads and you can get these five,loaf packs right in the store and they,are frozen,and you're going to need two of these so,you take two of them out and we'll let,them thaw on our countertop,so I'm just going to get some Pam,cooking spray and I'm just going to,spray my pie plates I usually put them,in pie plates to let them thaw,I need to,spray them so in your dough didn't stick,as it's rising,take them out and place them right into,your pie plate just like that,and then we're going to cover them with,plastic wrap and we're going to let them,rise on your countertop and thaw,okay so what you're going to do is take,your plastic wrap and put it right over,the top just like that,and then,you're going to flip it back,and spray the top spray your paper your,spray it so that it does not stick I,can't talk today I'm so sorry so you're,going to do that with both of your,Loaves and you're going to let them sit,on your countertop until they thaw it,out,in the middle of our rolls we're going,to be adding this beautiful mixture of,brown sugar and cinnamon so one half cup,of brown sugar and one tablespoon of,cinnamon I'm just going to mix these,together,we're going to sit this aside,so what we need to do is we need to,flour our surface so we can roll out our,bread dough,foreign,and you can see they have risen,so I'm going to take it out,and we're just going to give it a quick,roll,make sure your roller rolling pin is,covered with,flour,you roll it out to about a five a 12 by,5 inch six inch rectangle,now we're going to be taking our,softened unsalted butter and we're going,to be putting a thin layer,over the top,okay now what we're going to do is we're,going to take half of our mixture,because remember we've got two loaves to,do,and we're going to spread,this onto the top,and just spread it out,now we are going to roll it up,foreign,to just pinch the edges,together,okay,get this out of the way move our dough,out of the way,for the mixture that you're going to put,at the bottom of your cake pans you're,going to add,one uh and a quarter cups of,powdered sugar,and one half cup of whipping cream heavy,whipping cream,so let's mix that all together,you get this mixed it's going to go at,the bottom the bottom right,of our cake pans,we're going to put half of our,into,the bottom of this I know it sounds,counterproductive but it absolutely is,so delicious you're not going to believe,how wonderful this recipe is,so we'll put half of that in here,and you're just going to spread it so it,gets all around the bottom,we need to cut our roll into 12.,pieces two,three,four,five six,seven,eight,nine,so I only got nine,I got nine out of this but,nine to twelve,okay and then we're going to put them on,top of our cream mixture that we just,put in there,okay and you just put them around,with one of the sides down,so that your mixture shows at the top,all right there we go,we've got them all in now these need to,rise for,another about 45 minutes to an hour,put them in a nice warm spot,the rolls are looking so good they are,on their second Rise and they just need,a few more minutes and then we'll pop,them into the oven,pop the cinnamon rolls into a 375 degree,oven for 20 minutes immediately upon,removal from the oven take a plate turn,the cinnamon rolls onto the plate and,just lift your cake pan off and the,glaze will absolutely just fall all over,the cinnamon rolls and you won't have to,put any kind of extra glaze on it it's,all done for you so I hope you get a,chance to enjoy them,foreign

here's the ingredients we need for our,cinnamon rolls you'll need milk - frozen,bread dough's stick of butter a little,bit of cinnamon vanilla pudding it just,can't be instant pudding and then brown,sugar the first step for our caramel,rolls is to take your frozen bread dough,and go ahead and put it in a pan grease,the pan first so they don't stick but,just go ahead and put those in there for,two to four hours or until they about,double in size so here's about what they,should look like after they've risen,they've about doubled in size these,flattened or flattened out a little bit,because I've been handling them a little,bit so that's what they look like,now we're gonna go ahead and start,cutting these up,right after we've greased this pan,really really well it's important we're,gonna take our loaves and we're gonna,cut it into just little pieces with some,kitchen C scissors or your wife's linen,scissors done literally matter just go,ahead and start cutting it like this,about quarter-inch sizes you're gonna go,ahead and do this with all the pieces or,both pieces of dough okay as you can see,we've basically taken both bread dough's,and we've chopped them up into little,pieces just make sure it's kind of even,throughout the pan just like this and,then we run for ready for our next step,all right now we're gonna go ahead and,mix up our ingredients for the caramel,part of this we're just gonna take all,these the rest of the ingredients go,ahead and put them in a saucepan we got,our vanilla pudding non-instant,by the way,one stick of butter or margarine if you,prefer one cup of brown sugar,proximately two tablespoons of milk,close enough and if you want to take,like I say about a teaspoon of cinnamon,just go ahead and sprinkle that on okay,then we're gonna go ahead and put this,on the stove and heat it up till it's,smooth and blended alright our,ingredients are nice and melted by the,way we did this on a medium heat it took,about five to ten minutes to go ahead,and get this blended up nice so now,we're gonna go ahead and dump this all,over our dough,alright so we're gonna take our caramel,mixture and we're gonna go ahead and,just dump this over our little dough,balls nice and even really smells really,good so next we're gonna go ahead and,put this in a preheated oven that's been,preheated to 350 for 30 minutes okay,it's done,so we're gonna go ahead and pull this,out it's nice and golden brown so once,you pull this out you're gonna want to,go ahead and invert this onto a pan just,like this and voila

Hogan everybody boy do I have a great,and easy recipe for you guys today they,taste like cinnamon rolls but really,there's cinnamon buns,they were super easy to make so if you,want to have something fresh and ready,for breakfast the next day and you don't,want to think about that morning you can,make this the night before and then all,you have to do is pop it in the oven,welcome to Ellie's kitchen if you want,to make a dozen cinnamon buns then,you'll need a 9 by 13 pan and to get,started you need a quarter cup of melted,butter and you're gonna pour that into,the bottom of your pan and then I took,about Oh,1/3 cup of brown sugar and sprinkled on,top of the butter this creates that,super good gooey mixture underneath the,cinnamon buns,trust me it's really good and for the,pecan lovers I'm just gonna take a,little bit of pecans about 1/2 a cup,chopped them up and put that only on,half of the side of the 9 by 13 pan so,they can have pecans with it or without,oh and just so you know down description,box down below I do have a list of my,ingredients I do that for all my videos,so check that out if you need to I like,everything,easy and convenient so instead of making,the bread dough and letting it rise and,you know if you ever made cinnamon rolls,you know what I'm talking about so just,make it easier for everybody I buy a bag,of frozen dinner rolls a lot easier and,a 9 by 13 will take 12 of these now this,recipe just keeps getting better all we,need next is a box of instant vanilla,pudding and we just open it up and we,sprinkle it evenly across all 12 rolls,oh and let's not forget the cinnamon,part we're gonna make cinnamon buns we,have to have cinnamon so just spring a,little bit on top I don't have the right,measurement for you can see what I'm,doing here just just a little bit and,you don't need to mix sugar with it,because the pudding will provide the,sugar part just a little bit cinnamon on,top now we're gonna need some more,butter you might notice a lot of my,cooking videos we use a lot of butter,have you checked out my butter swim,biscuit recipe or the banana bread,recipe that took two six of our and the,banana bread was really good,melt 1/2 a cup of butter and pour it on,top of the frozen rolls cover them with,saran wrap that's been sprayed with,cooking spray it's a good tip that I,like to share because when the rolls,start to rise sometimes it can stick to,the saran wrap and then when you remove,the saran wrap to cook them sometimes,the rolls will go flat on you and then,just leave them on the counter in a warm,spot to rise I let mine rice for 8 hours,and look at them the next day they got,so big they look great they look,wonderful they look beautiful this is,what you want your buns to look like,let's get these buns into the oven I cut,fine at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about,18 minutes while our cinnamon buns are,baking in the oven let's make some,powder sugar glaze I'm using,approximately about 3/4 cup of powdered,sugar and about 1 and 1/2 tablespoon of,water the rolls are done baking and yes,I'm adding more butter I just like to,whenever I make bread to add a little,bit of melted butter on top just just to,soften them a little bit of course these,are best fresh out of the oven but if,you happen to have a couple left over,for even three days just reheating them,in the microwave they're just like fresh,again,thank you for watching Ellie's kitchen,today if you subscribed already thank,you if you haven't then please do we'll,catch you next time

your side cast no these are yeah you do,you just ate one little bit wine sack,there's cinnamon buns but check this out,why are they not round max I don't know,well there are these ones these guys,these ones you hit and then you open up,you do them in a round like cake pan,yeah and they'll sit beside each other,there's a fast way that says on the,package,instead of like 17 minutes it's like 9,or 10 minutes you just put them on a,baking sheet 2 inches apart they do have,this little shape to them but that's,okay because what we're gonna do with,them today doesn't matter about the,shape and what we're doing with the max,is cinnamon rolled bread pudding yeah so,let's say you just happen to have an ass,load of leftover cinnamon rolls okay so,I made these intentionally for this but,they're gonna be great so we have our,Bowl so here's all you have to do we're,just gonna cut these guys up into rough,pieces right like any bread pudding item,that's all you need like this so let's,see I don't know exactly how many I need,so we're gonna go with what looks right,I think we're gonna end up with four of,these things maybe maybe more hold on,let's see what that looks like,that was three right yeah oh yeah we're,for sure going with three more geez I,could smell the cinnamon rolls the,second I walked away just come out of,the oven,look bread pudding is one of those,really easy things to make and I would,say you can use almost anything there's,a recipe on the website for I think I,want to use them all should I sure let's,see there's a recipe on the website for,bread pudding made out of a loaf of,cinnamon raisin bread that's really good,okay so this is us keep one keep one,back okay,okay so that is eight cinnamon rolls,without that without that super sweet,sticky toffee because we're gonna make,our own topping that's gonna be really,good okay now comes the quick easy part,ah I think this is gonna be enough I may,have to add but we're gonna find out so,the ratio is now a cup of milk for an,egg so I've got two eggs here which,means two cups of milk which is there,that should be fine put the eggs in,that's I need some sugar and I don't,need too much sugar max because what's,gonna go on tops gonna be a little sweet,so we'll give that two tablespoons of,sugar okay it's pretty easy so far right,yeah two cups of milk 2 eggs 2,tablespoons of sugar now my goal is to,try and beat these eggs it seemed like a,really good idea yeah I'm getting it,pink in color so I know the eggs are,being beaten okay good good might not,need all of that now that I think about,it but can't really do eggs in half I,also have some pecan pieces so let's do,this,look at that,Oh perfect like I've done this before,which I have not,you want a moisten everything,okay,and now we take some of these pecan,pieces oh I know what I wanted to,add back up sorry sorry sorry it's,bourbon just a little drizzle of bourbon,in here just because so we'll give it,what like a tablespoon when I try to,make it too boozy we're just trying to,add a little extra flavor just now back,we go I'm smelling it okay okay now some,of the pecans what is this this is a,quarter of a cup a quarter of a cup of,pecans let's make it a third of a cup,and then we'll do this again,you smell the booze tiny bat maybe too,much look screw it,I'm putting this last one in nine nine,cinnamon rolls it's basically one two,phenomena - hey there i thought it would be fun,today to show you five of my all-time,favorite recipes using these rhodes,dinner rolls all of these recipes are,exceptionally easy and so so good so i,hope you enjoy it and let's go start,cooking to kick us off today we are,making these personal pizzas so to begin,on my cutting board i'm spraying it with,plenty of nonstick spray so that the,dough doesn't stick to the cutting board,and then i'm grabbing one of my rhodes,dinner rolls i did thaw these dinner,rolls out overnight in the refrigerator,so they are no longer frozen and then go,ahead and roll your dinner roll out so,it is super duper thin about six inches,in diameter i'd say and then i placed,them on my sheet pan i'm just doing four,today but of course you can make more or,less depending on your preference and,then i poked holes all over the dinner,rolls to make sure that they don't,bubble up in the oven and then pour some,of your pizza sauce or marinara sauce or,any sauce over the top and then spread,it out and then this is the part where,you could be creative and make these,your own i'm just using mozzarella,cheese first and then i'm putting three,pepperonis on each of the pizzas and,then sprinkling the top with a little,bit of parmesan cheese and then italian,seasoning but you could add whatever,toppings you love this will bake on 450,degrees for about 7 to 11 minutes or,until they are a nice golden color,here they are out of the oven these,taste identical to normal pizzas you,cannot even tell that you used a,shortcut by using dinner roll dough for,the crust these make for a perfect,dinner lunch or snack they are just so,simple to throw together i really think,you'll enjoy them,now we're making this taco chicken bake,so to get this one started you will want,to combine your nine thought dinner,rolls out and then place them on a,greased surface so it doesn't stick and,then go ahead and roll this out into a,large rectangle,once our dough got to be a large thin,rectangle i placed it on my sheet pan,lined with parchment paper and now in,the center of our dough i added one and,a half cups of black beans that i did,drain and rinse next add your two cups,of chicken i'm using this fajita,seasoned rotisserie chicken i found at,walmart but you could use any type of,cooked cubed chicken that you like you,could cook it yourself or you could use,a normal rotisserie chicken really,whatever type of chicken you like go,ahead and use right now,after i placed our chicken on there i'm,sprinkling a tablespoon of taco,seasoning,time to start making cuts about an inch,and a half apart along the sides of the,dough,this is always my favorite part it's,time to start braiding it now so you,will first fold the top in and then the,strips on the side you will overlap them,over each other just like this,the last couple things you'll do before,placing this in the oven is spray olive,oil spray over the top or you could,brush olive oil over the top and then,sprinkle a fourth a cup of shredded,cheddar cheese on it this will bake on,350 degrees for about 30 to 35 minutes,or until it's golden here's my plate of,food i love serving this with my,favorite taco topping so i did a little,bit of salsa on the side sour cream,cherry tomatoes cilantro and lime this,has extremely bold delicious flavor on,the inside,this is kind of just like the perfect,simple dinner to make,i don't know if i dare say this but this,has to be one of the best cinnamon roll,recipes of all time to begin in this,little bowl i added a half a cup of,brown sugar next add two teaspoons of,cinnamon and then stir this mixture,together,the dough that we're using for this,recipe is one of these rhodes white,bread loafs or you could use about 10 or,11 of the dinner rolls that you thought,out anyways i floured my surface and,then i'm adding the bread loaf right on,there and then i'm going to roll this,out into a thin rectangle,once your dough looks similar to this,it's time to spread your four,tablespoons of melted butter all over,the top,with the cinnamon sugar mixture we made,up earlier go ahead and pour it all over,the top of the butter and then spread it,out evenly next you're going to roll,this up,whenever i cut these into cinnamon rolls,i typically get between 10 to 12,cinnamon rolls in the end so go ahead,and cut them at this point and then you,are going to place them into your,greased 9x13 baking dish just like this,and then you will cover the top with a,greased sheet of cling wrap let this,rise in a warm place until your cinnamon,rolls have doubled,once our cinnamon rolls have doubled in,size go ahead and remove the sheet of,cling wrap over the top and bake them on,350 degrees for about 20 to 25 minutes,or until they're golden while they're in,the oven we are going to begin on the,icing this is the best icing recipe ever,you need to save this one so into this,bowl i added a fourth of cup of softened,butter along with five ounces bread and,the sauce are really the stars if you,love raisins you can of course add,raisins to bread pudding,toasted pecans there's so many delicious,things that can be added to this,trying to cut these pieces as,efficiently as possible,and they don't all have to be exactly,the same size at all i'm about to have,some virgo feelings over this bread,cutting,i'm not gonna lie so because i'm using,fresh bread instead of stale i want to,remove some of the moisture so we're,going to give it a quick toast in the,oven at 250 for about 10 minutes there,we go push that onto a baking sheet,if you want to skip this step just go to,the market and ask for like some stale,bread before they throw it out or feed,it to the birds into the oven 250 keep,an eye on it so it doesn't singe but,it should be fine while that bread's,drying out in the oven we're going to,make a simple custard that will just,fill every nook and cranny and bake up,into some amazingness here's the deal,three tablespoons of butter half a cup,of sugar two cups of milk i warm my milk,up a bit in the microwave first just so,it's not ice cold and half a teaspoon of,salt there you go all right we're going,to,mix this up a bit and then place it over,like medium heat and just scald it we,want it to be,almost getting to bubbling the butter's,already melted the sugar is dissolved,and once it scalds or you see just a,little bit of bubbling on the edge i'm,going to take it off the heat if you,love custard click up here for my eclair,recipe it is,so good and filled with the pastry cream,that's similar to this but a little bit,thicker so it can be piped,all right so it's scalded bubbling on,the edge we're all done taking it off,the heat and it'll need to cool down for,just a couple minutes,my bread's just out of the oven and it's,nice and crisp now so it's going to,accept that custard and really just be,amazing the custard is almost done it's,just cooling down before i add the eggs,and vanilla but in the meantime let's,just grease our baking dish,you have to go crazy here it's not going,to be really a sticky situation but a,little butter goes a long way in not,having,a mess,baking dish greased let's add in our,bread and,if you see any big pieces you can rip,them up kind of want to have less gaps,on the bottom so just push them around,and,if you have any extra bread left over,croutons just keep baking them hello,that's good what i like to do is just,take some of the crust side and place it,up on top so i have a little bit of,contrast,in the finished bread pudding and also,if i see any holes i can just fill them,in and,everything will be nice and comfy cozy,now i'm setting this aside,let your milk mixture cool down so it's,warm it could be like warm warm but not,hot so,you don't want to scramble those eggs,they need to be nice and silky not,chunky all right i'm going to add in one,tablespoon of vanilla right now if you,want you could add in a few tablespoons,of brandy or whatever else but i'm,keeping that for the sauce not for the,bread pudding okay now it's time for the,eggs let's whisk them in and we're gonna,be set,there we go so you can see,i still have a nice,smooth consistency it's not curdled or,anything,this is a matter of waiting so don't,rush it,and i'm gonna reserve about like let's,say a third of a cup of this custard,now we're going to carefully pour it,over the top try not to spill,i want to make sure there's no dry,pieces lurking around on top now i want,to show you,because there's all this liquid in here,we can begin pushing down some of the,bread because even though we try there,were some air gaps here so don't smash,but just gently kind of let the bread,find the the bottom of the pan,i have my reserved bit of custard and,i'm just gonna spoon that over the,topper pour it over the top just,because i can see a couple pieces of,bread that are dry and that's not the,life i'm living my bread pudding is,ready to go into the oven at 350 for,about 40 to 50 minutes you don't want,the bread
