Starbucks Banana Nut Bread Copycat Recipe

what's cooking guys welcome back to my,channel for today's recipe i'm going to,be making, starbucks banana nut bread copycat, recipe,it's super easy it's super flavorful and,it has beautiful, sweet flavor from the bananas we're,going to add and also the textures from, the walnut so stay tuned for the recipe, don't forget to hit the subscribe button, below before we start, and now let's get baking, let's start by preheating our oven to,350 degrees fahrenheit,so i have two large bananas here they, are already soft and ripened i had them, sitting on my counter for a couple of,days, just to get ripe and ready for this, recipe and if you don't have, ripe bananas but you just have regular, unripened bananas on your counter, just let them sit on your counter for a,few days and just wait,to make this recipe or if you can't wait, you can always just put the, unripened bananas into your oven for 20,minutes,at 300 degrees fahrenheit and then once, you remove them just let them cool down,so you can,use them for this recipe so guys for the,dry ingredients i have, one and three quarter cups of,all-purpose flour here,if you want to make it healthier you can, also use whole wheat flour and to this,i'm going to add half a teaspoon of,baking soda and then i have baking, powder here and i'm using, two teaspoons of baking powder, and for salt i'm just going to add a,little pinch, about a quarter teaspoon and then you, just want to mix, your dry ingredients up with a fork, and our dry ingredients are all set, there we have it,and i'm just going to put this to the, side and move on to my wet ingredients, next,so guys i have one third cup of softened, butter here, and to this i'm just going to add some, sugar and this is 50,less processed sugar and i'm using two, thirds,of a cup of granulated, sugar, you want to mix your sugar and butter, together really well for at least a good, two minutes,i think this is a very important step, and you want to spend time creaming, these two ingredients together, just to ensure a soft and moist banana, bread, and this step is important for any kind,of baked goods that you're making, and i like to start on low speed with my,hand mixer, and then just increase the speed, gradually to like a medium speed,so guys once you're done creaming your, butter and sugar together, you now want to add in the rest of your, wet ingredients so i'm just gonna put in,the mashed bananas which was a cup, then i have two eggs that i'm using, large eggs, and then i have two tablespoons of milk, add that in also and now i'm just going,to mix all of my wet ingredients,up so that they are well incorporated, together and always make sure that, you're cold,or wet ingredients like eggs and milk, etc, are always at room temperature otherwise,if they're cold they're not going to mix, properly but they will also kind of,curdle and that's exactly what we don't,want,so room temperature is the best way to,go so once your wet ingredients have, all been mixed well you want to add in,your dry ingredients, but i'm going to add them like in,batches so i'm going to add half of the, amount now,and mix it all up,rest of the amount and mix it again,so now that my dry ingredients and wet, ingredients have been, well incorporated i'm going to add half,a cup of,chopped walnuts and then you just want,to mix this, one last time but don't over mix, okay so here is my banana nut bread, batter, and i'm just going to put this in my,prepared pan,i already poured all of my banana nut, bread batter in here,in my loaf pan i had already greased, this up as well, and now i'm just going to top this off, with some more walnuts, another half a cup so in total we have, one cup of walnuts in,this bread,so that's all of my walnuts for the, topping and i'm also going to top this, with a little bit of oats and these are, quick oats, and this is optional guys but i really, think it looks so beautiful once it's,done baking that's why i like to add, this oats and not a lot this much is,good enough for me,and i'm just gonna put this in the oven,so now this is going in the oven and i'm,gonna bake this for at least an hour or,so,but i'm going to periodically check on,it so time to check on this banana bread, guys it's been in the oven for an,hour my,skewer came out clean so this banana nut, bread is done i'm going to take this out,of the oven, after you take the bread out of the oven, you want to let it cool in the same pan,for about 10 minutes before you remove,it on,a rack just to cool it further for at,least a good, hour so our banana bread is out of the,pan and i'm letting it cool on the rack, and look how beautiful this looks all,the textures, and the golden brown colors you can see,the walnuts and the little bit of oats, this looks absolutely perfect i just, wanted to show you,the inside of this bread and it just, looks so,pretty and it's just so soft, and spongy it's absolutely perfect guys, time for taste testing guys you know, that's my favorite part,so look at my banana bread,it's really really soft and it's still, warm, out of the oven so beautiful,a

You've Been Making Banana Bread Wrong This Whole Time

You've Been Making Banana Bread Wrong This Whole Time

Banana bread is the epitome of comfort food.,To be sure it comes out perfectly, there are a few tips that novices and experts alike, need to keep in mind.,Here are the mistakes you might be making, and how to avoid them the next time you attempt, the perfect loaf.,"Jake Jake Jake!","What, is he coming?","No, but there's more than muffins!,There's banana bread too!",First thing's first, banana bread, of course, requires bananas.,After all, that's what gives your loaf its flavor and its lovely texture.,But can you just grab any bananas from your kitchen counter fruit bowl and get to baking?,Or even just grab a few at the store for your baking project?,Absolutely not.,Banana bread requires super ripe bananas.,We're talking ripe enough that they're starting to get brown spots on the peel.,You want no green on the peel, but you also don't want your bananas ripe enough that they're,rotten.,As a banana ripens, the starch in the fruit turns to sugar.,Ultimately, they become sweeter the riper they are, which is why those with brown spots, are utilized to add great flavor to baked goods.,Part of making banana bread is all about incorporating the sweet, ripe banana's flavor throughout.,In order to achieve that, it's important to introduce the bananas in a way that can be,easily incorporated, rather than having to break them down in the mixer with the rest,of your ingredients.,If you want to have banana bread with completely smooth bananas throughout, and no chunks,,mashing them in a separate bowl before introducing them to the mixture is the best way to go.,Using the back of a fork will do the trick wonderfully, or you can opt to use a potato, masher.,Baking truly is an art form, but there is quite a bit of science to it as well, and,if certain ingredients aren't introduced in the right order, they work differently with, the other ingredients.,Much like baking a cake, baking banana bread requires a specific order of operations.,Adding the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients allows for better introduction and incorporation.,According to Cook's Illustrated, that order is actually crucial.,If you were to instead add the wet ingredients to the dry bowl, you end up with pockets of,flour rather than a smooth distribution.,Plus, it's easier to fully mix things together without over-mixing, which can definitely, hamper your banana bread's texture.,As simple as the ingredients are for banana bread, and as achievable as the method seems,,banana bread can be a bit finicky.,Whether you opt to make your banana bread in a stand mixer, or you're simply using a,bowl and a spoon, the key to a beautiful, fluffy, moist loaf is not to overmix the batter.,According to Southern Living, the reasoning for not over-mixing is all about the gluten.,As you mix, the gluten begins to develop.,When too much gluten develops before baking, you can end up with a dense, chewy loaf, rather, than the soft and delicious banana bread you were hoping for.,When it's time to add the dry ingredients to the wet, gently fold them in,“You fold them in.”,“I, I understand that.,How… how do you fold it?,Fold it in half like a piece of paper and drop it in?,What do you do?”,— maybe even using a spoon and not a mixer — just until everything is fully incorporated.,Whether you're using a metal or a glass loaf pan, greasing your pan with oil or butter, will help your banana bread come out smoothly.,Either using canned oil spray or simply rubbing butter or shortening along the insides of,the pan will create a layer of oil that makes for easy release.,Sprinkling the pan with flour after buttering will really make sure nothing sticks while, baking.,Opting for parchment paper is another possibility as well.,According to Bon Appetit, that's the way to go, allowing for a smooth release by just, lifting up the paper.,Whichever way you choose is up to you, but definitely be sure to choose one.,Digging your banana bread out of the loaf pan with a fork really isn't the best way,to eat it.,Most banana bread recipes call for it to be baked at 350 degrees for 50 to 70 minutes.,And while that may seem like a huge range, there's a reason for it.,According to The Kitchn, your bake time will depend on your bananas' sugar content and,how moist they are.,Often, if you make banana bread and cut into it only to find a gooey, underbaked center,,that's the reason.,It's thanks to those bananas not having enough time.,It's best to begin checking your banana bread sooner rather than later, but don't pull it,out of the oven until you've checked that it's fully baked.,The top and sides will be a caramel, dark brown, with a yellow bread color in the center,,but check it using the classic toothpick method to be sure it's done.,If it's clean, or there are only a few crumbs, it's ready to pull out.,You've selected the perfect ripe bananas, mixed your batter, and baked your bread.,It's time to eat it once you pull it out of the oven, right?,After all, what's better than warm, freshly baked banana bread?,"I mad

Moist Banana Bread Recipe | Sweet Bread

Hey everyone, it's Natasha of Natashaskitchen.com. Today we're making our,all-time favorite banana bread. It's so soft, moist and loaded with ripe bananas,,tiny raisins and toasted walnuts. This is the best way to use overripe bananas.,You'll start with 1/2 a cup of unsalted softened butter. Place that in a large, mixing bowl and add 3/4 cup of sugar. Cream those together on medium-high,speed. In a second medium mixing bowl mash together 3 ripe bananas. Coarsely, mash them up until you reach the consistency of baby food and there's no,need for perfection here. Add the mashed bananas to the rest of your batter, along, with two large room-temperature eggs and mix those together until combined. In a,small mixing bowl whisk together one and a half cups of flour, a tsp of,baking soda and half a tsp of salt. Add those to the creamed mixture and, stir to combine. Stir in 1/2 a tsp of real vanilla extract and last but not, least, add half a cup of raisins and one cup of coarsely chopped, toasted walnuts.,Using a spatula, fold those together just until combined. This batter looks and, smells amazing. Use a little pat of butter to grease the sides and bottom of,a loaf pan then dust with flour. This will help keep the banana bread from, sticking to the pan. Shake out any excess flour then transfer all of your banana, bread batter into your prepared pan,,lightly smooth out the top and bake in a preheated oven at 350˚F,for 55 to 60 minutes or until a toothpick, inserted into the center of,the loaf, comes out clean. Once it's out of the oven, let it rest in the pan for, about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool to room, temperature. All right, it's cooled down to the point where it's just warm and,we're gonna do the taste test. Okay, so I'm gonna slice this up and that rose, beautifully. Okay, here we go...,Oh my goodness, you guys, my kitchen smells like a bakery right now! Mm-hmm!,And I want you to look at what's inside of this luscious loaf. All right, I cannot, wait to bite into this thing, look at that. It's so soft and moist and loaded, with everything good... so many walnuts and raisins. And if you got somebody that's,allergic or doesn't like walnuts or raisins, you could totally leave them out.,The banana bread will still be amazing. Okay, let's do this taste test. How To Make Banana Nut Bread - The BEST Banana Bread Recipe!

How To Make Banana Nut Bread - The BEST Banana Bread Recipe!

hello and welcome to crouton, crackerjacks today I'm going to show you,how to make the most moist and delicious, banana nut bread you will ever have, these the ingredients that you'll need,so let's get started I'm going to start, off with my bananas here I have got, three medium bananas and I let these get, ripe on the countertop until they got, that nice little black speckles on them, and then I put them into the freezer, putting them in the freezer and freezing, them turns all that starch into, delicious sugar and makes the sweetest, banana bread you will ever have doing it,this way is the way you want to do it,and after they were in the freezer for a,few days I let them thaw out and you, will see they are not very appetizing at,are at all they're very disgusting, looking you just want to cut the end off,and squeeze the banana right out of the, peel and there'll be a lot of juice in,there you want to retain that juice and, just kind of squirt this out into a bowl, now once I got those into a bowl I'm,just going to take a fork and mash these,up until it is a puree if you want to,leave bigger chunks in your banana bread, you can go ahead and do that I like mine, rather smooth so I'm going to make sure, that this is pureed well now to make up,our batter I've got a large bowl here, and I'm going to add in one stick of,softened butter you could also use, margarine be sure and save that wrapper, because we will use it later to grease, our pan and add in one cup of granulated, sugar and I'm going to mix these two, together and I'm just using this nifty, little handheld egg beater thing that I,got I want to try it out so decided to,use it on this but you can use whatever, mixer that you have you want to use an,electric mixer or stand mixer go ahead, and use that and once I got that sugar, and butter cream together I'm going to,add in two large eggs to my bowl and you, want to mix those eggs into the butter, and sugar mixture and before you get, going too far you want to add in one and,a half teaspoons of vanilla extract and,I just go ahead and mix this all, together using your beater and then go,ahead and set that off to the side and, then we can start working on our dry, ingredients now in a second Bowl I've,got one and a half cups of all-purpose,flour here I'm going to add in one, teaspoon of baking soda as well as half,a teaspoon of salt, and I'm just going to mix these, ingredients up together make sure that, that baking soda and salt gets, incorporated into the flour and then I'm,going to dump my dry ingredients into, the wet ingredients and I switched out,to a spatula here because this batter, gets kind of thick right here and you, just want to mix this up be sure and get,all that flour incorporated nicely into, the wet ingredients and you can see here, how you know kind of stiff that batter,is I'm going to add in half a cup of,sour cream and this is going to keep our, banana bread nice and moist and tender, now if you don't have sour cream or,don't want to use it use yogurt that, would be the best substitute for this, but it is best if you use sour cream and,I'm going to take my three bananas that,I pureed and dump that in and I'm going,to mix all these ingredients together, until this is well combined you want to,make sure and scrape down the sides of,the bowl you don't have to be careful, with this at all you know if you want to,get your mixer back out to mix this, together by all means go ahead and then, once that all comes together you want to,add in a two ounce package of chopped,English walnuts you could also just, leave them out if you wish you just want, plain banana bread you just want to mix, those in and then set your batter off to,the side now I've got a nine inch by,five inch loaf pan here I'm using a,metal one and using our butter wrapper,I'm going to grease this pan this is a,nice little tip whenever you are making, something with butter and it requires a,greased pan just save the wrapper from, that and use that to grease the pan it's,a lot easier it's a lot neater you don't,have to get out the shortening or,vegetable spray or anything like that, just use what you have that you'd,normally throw away anyway and then you, want to pour out your batter into your, loaf pan now if it didn't stay before, this is a nine inch by five inch loaf, pan it's just a regular size normal, sized loaf pan and you want to scrape, all that goodness out of the bowl into, your loaf pan and you want to even out, this batter and you want to bake this in,a preheated 325 degree oven for between, sixty and seventy five minutes now, you're really going to have to watch it,towards the end so it doesn't get too, brown on top if you need to go ahead and,put a piece of foil over the top so it,doesn't Brown we want to make it until a,toothpick or a knife insert it into the, center, comes out clean and once it is done, baking go ahead and take it out and let,it rest in the pan for about 10 minutes, and then use a knife and kind of release, the sides for the pan and then go ahead, and turn that out and

Professional Baker Teaches You How To Make BANANA BREAD!

Professional Baker Teaches You How To Make BANANA BREAD!

i'm going to start things off with, banana bread because everyone needs a,good recipe and mine is a keeper there, are two reasons you really make banana, bread you have overripe bananas on hand,or,you crave the smell of banana bread, baking, now i have both i want that smell and i,have three very ripe bananas here,so i'm going to peel these and put them, just in a bowl, and i hand mash my bananas,i'm using three large bananas and i've,noticed some recipes will say oh use, three bananas use four bananas use two, bananas but it really depends on the, size of the banana,so i've narrowed it down,to a total of one and a half to one and,three-quarter cups of mashed banana, perfect,i'll put that into my larger bowl,i've got six tablespoons of unsalted, butter that i've melted it's still a,little warm and that's absolutely fine, what i love about this banana bread, recipe is essentially you're doing it in,one bowl banana bread's supposed to be,easy to make i've gone through extensive, testing to make sure this banana bread,is the perfect recipe and i tried it,using soft unsalted butter using, vegetable oil and using melted butter, and i find by far i get the best taste, and texture using the melted butter, now i'll add half a cup of granulated, sugar, and half a cup of light brown sugar,i'll just whisk this in,this is one of those recipes that has, nice even measurements,so after you've made it a couple of,times you won't even have to refer to,the recipe you'll just know it off by,heart,a single egg,and a teaspoon of vanilla,we go,now i'm just gonna put my sifter right,on top of the mixing bowl, and measure in one and a half cups of,all-purpose flour,i need a teaspoon of baking soda,a quarter teaspoon of salt, and i'll just give that a little sift in,you want to switch to a spoon or a,spatula at this point, and you stir just until it's evenly, blended, now if you're a banana bread purist this,is ready to go into the pan,or a classic addition is toasted walnut, pieces you could add a cup if you wanted,to,personally i'm a big fan of adding, chocolate chips so i'll roughly measure,in a cup,i've got a greased loaf pan,and just scrape the batter right in,this is ready for the oven which i've,preheated to 350. and here's the sweet, torture you have to let this bake for an,hour and 15 minutes but believe me it,smells delicious every minute, this smells so good here it is out of,the oven but cooled for about 20 minutes, and at this point regardless of what, loaf cake i make i like to turn it out,of the tin,to cool completely, you don't turn them out right out of the, oven they're too fragile and risk, cracking in half but the reason you do,turn them out is because of the moisture, inside the loaf cake, and the condensation as it cools that, can build up will actually soften the, crust and i like having a little crust,on the outside to contrast with that, soft moist center,it slices so easily, the chocolate chips are still melted, isn't that an absolute treat, smells so good,um,there's that little bit of chocolate, with the banana, mmm

How To Make The Ultimate Banana Bread

How To Make The Ultimate Banana Bread

banana bread is the queen when it comes,to classic quick bread recipes,it's sweet thick tender customizable and, dare we say, moist banana bread is relatively simple, and easy to make but surprisingly a lot,of factors can take your recipe in,different directions there are hundreds,if not thousands of banana bread recipes, out there so we tested a ton of,variations to bring you tasty's ultimate, banana bread,we're going to start with preparing a 9,by 5 inch loaf pan spray it with some, nonstick cooking spray line it with, parchment paper and then spray it again,we'll set that aside and move on to,browning our butter add the butter to a,non-stick pan over medium-high heat, cook and stir occasionally until the, butter turns amber brown and smells, nutty the process will take about three,to four minutes but make sure you're,watching carefully so the butter doesn't,burn, quick tip brown your butter in a light, colored pan so you can see the butter, brown more clearly once you have that, nice amber brown color remove the pot, from the heat and set aside to cool for, about 10 to 15 minutes now that our, butter has cooled we'll add that to a,large bowl along with our brown sugar, using brown sugar instead of white sugar, will add more of a caramel flavor and, moistness to your banana bread we're,adding one cup here quick tip if your, bananas aren't extremely ripe just add, another quarter cup of sugar,we'll use a hand mixer to beat until, evenly combined about one minute, next we'll add one egg and whip it with,a hand mixer this will help leaven and, lighten the texture of the banana bread,we're only whipping for about three to,four minutes because we only want a,little bit of air if we whip it too much, the bread will rise and then fall, because it's too dense now wouldn't be,banana bread without bananas, for ultra delicious banana bread you, want those bananas to be mostly brown, and slightly over it like these brown, bananas are sweeter and have a more, pronounced banana flavor they're also, easier to mash and will better, incorporate into your batter we tested a,couple different ways to ripen bananas, more quickly if you're ever in a time, crunch we bake them in the oven at 350,degrees fahrenheit for 15 minutes while, the bananas did soften they lost that, caramelized banana flavor you get when, you let them ripen naturally they were, also a lot less sweet leaving the loaf, tasting like it was missing something we,also tried them in a brown bag with an,apple and it did nothing in fact only, the apple ripened the next day we took, the apple out and just let the bananas, sit in the bag they didn't ripen any, faster than the ones we let sit on the, counter, simply put the best way to ripen bananas,is the old-fashioned way time and trust,us when we say it is worth the wait for, this recipe we're using two cups of,mashed bananas we found that it's best,to measure bananas in cups because they, differ in size one person's four bananas, might equal two cups, while another person's bananas might, only equal one cup,a fork is probably the most popular, mashing method it takes a little more, effort but it works great,if you're looking for something easier, try using a potato masher if you're,looking for a little less mess you can, actually mash the banana inside the, banana peel like this, add the mashed bananas to a medium bowl, along with some full fat sour cream, emphasis on the vole the reason we're,using sour cream instead of milk creme, fraiche or greek yogurt is because sour, cream adds moisture with a little bit of,tang the acidic properties of sour cream, also help tenderize the loaf to give it,that soft texture let's add a little, vanilla extract and fold to combine, let's move on to our dry ingredients to,another mixing bowl we're going to add,all-purpose flour, kosher salt, baking soda, and cinnamon there are a lot of spice, options you could add to banana bread, cinnamon nutmeg cloves allspice cardamom, and even ginger but cinnamon is going to,pair best with the dark chocolate we'll,add to the batter later now that our dry, ingredients are well combined we're,going to alternate folding the flour and, mash bananas into our creamed mixture we,want to start and end with our dry, ingredients to avoid getting a dense, loaf we'll mix everything until just, incorporated we don't want to over mix,the batter won't be perfectly smooth and, that's okay there's some debate out, there about whether to add chocolate or,nuts to banana bread but it tasty we are, team chocolate for obvious reasons we,love using dark chocolate chips because, they complement the sweetness of the, loaf pour the batter into the prepared, loaf pan and we are ready to bake, okay we lied we have one final step,we're going to sprinkle some turbinado, sugar on top this step is totally, optional but it's going to give our loaf,a little crunch and texture drooling yet, because we sure are,now we can pop our banana bread in the, oven we're going to bake it at 350,degrees fahrenheit for about 60 to 70,minutes you'll know it's done when you,
