Aunt Millie's Live Carb Smart Bread Review & Glucose Test

hey there it's steve from serious keto,and in this video i am going to be doing,a review of the live,carb smart bread from aunt millie's,bakery,ever since i did the video reviews of,the love and fresh,zero net carb bread from aldi's and the,natural ovens,supposedly keto friendly bread from,costco,i have gotten inundated with requests to,review,all manner of other breads unfortunately,a lot of these can be difficult to find,i think,a number of them are sort of regional,but i had one of my viewers,kyle volk send me two loaves of this,bread,from aunt millie's i have the wheat and,the five seed,both of them boast only one net carb,per slice for the wheat we have 13 grams,of total carbohydrates 11 grams of,dietary fiber,and the rest is made up by allelos so,i'd be like one gram,the five seed has 12 grams of total,carbohydrates,10 grams of fiber 1 gram of allulose,in terms of ingredients fairly similar,i'm going to run down the list here and,see if we see any sort of,suspect ingredients resistant tapioca,starch,wheat protein isolate inulin yeast wheat,gluten oat fiber allulose,wheat dextrin guar gum soybean oil,not real thrilled about that potassium,chloride salt vinegar,looking all right over here on the five,seed,essentially the same thing but a lot of,seeds flax seed,sesame seeds black sesame seeds,sunflower seed carrageenan,soybean oil so both of these contain,soybean oil which,i'm not thrilled about i mean i'm not,like dogmatic,keto but soybean oil is really a,pretty garbage oil and it's something i,try and steer clear of,i'm gonna have one slice of each i'm,going to cut them in half,toasting half and eating the other half,as bread for the sake of the blood,glucose test i'm just going to eat them,plain,based on the experiments i've done,around resistant starch,i've found that adding fat has a,significant,blunting effect on blood glucose and i,don't want to confound this experiment,with that,i'm using the levels continuous glucose,monitor so i'll be able to show you,exactly the size,and length of the blood glucose response,but first i need to take a little,picture so i can,mark it along the timeline,i'm going to take a quick glucose,reading right now my glucose,has been kind of high today and i,attribute that,to a really bad insomnia last night i've,been up since,about 2 a.m and the stress of that tends,to have an elevating effect on my blood,glucose,so i'm starting off at 103 which is a,bit high for me,at this time of day i'm routinely in the,upper 80s lower 90s,but to me what's less important is the,starting point versus the actual amount,of blood glucose increase that we see,or don't see we'll start with the wheat,bread,first off the texture very nice it's,pliable it's,soft it does not smell,especially bready the five seed,seems not quite as moist it kind of,cracks a little bit when i bend it,also not a huge huge bread smell now the,straight up,bread test,when i was initially chewing it i liked,it,but there's something at the end that is,almost sort of a,powdery sensation in my mouth,that's the only way i can really think,to describe it it's not,especially gritty but there's something,that i still felt sort of on my tongue,and on the roof of my mouth that i kind,of had to,make a couple of like you know those,sort of emotions,to get rid of it and it doesn't have a,strong strong bready or yeasty,sort of taste to it,next we have the five seed bread,i like this quite a bit more i really,like the texture that the seeds have,and i'm not getting that sort of powdery,mouth feel to it either,if i made this bread myself from a,recipe i created,i would be pretty proud with the,exception of the soybean oil,i think i would be a low-carb hero this,is,this is some pretty good bread and now,we have the toast,i sure wish i had some butter on this,so the wheat bread i think is better,toasted,than it was just as bread i'm not,getting the powdery,mouth coating feel but i'm still getting,something,mostly the roof of my mouth a little bit,on my tongue,i can tell you that toasted it doesn't,seem to have that gluten network,that holds things together quite so well,i i think on a big enough sandwich or,especially if you add,some condiments this i'm not sure how,well this bread would hold together,and now the five seed toast,i really like this i liked it as bread,i like it as toast this is some solid,tasting,low carb bread right here,so i will be back in two hours to see,what the blood glucose impact was on,this,and decide if we need to do any further,tests,so at the two hour mark the level,software,gave the bread a score of seven which is,a pretty decent score,my glucose went up by 19 points which is,a bump,but it's not a spike and probably the,reason that the score on this,isn't a little bit better is i did have,that slightly elevated starting point,which meant i spent more time over the,110,threshold for glucose now by way of,comparison,earlier today i had an egg witch which,is basically a sausage and cheese,sandwich between,two

tonight i'm going to try,a grilled cheese sandwich with the,velveeta slices with jalapeno,this is supposed to have jalapeno in it,normally i've showed you how i make my,grilled cheese,normally i buy the um i think it's,old el paso maybe brand jalapenos and i,take two slices of cheese,and then stack the jalapenos in between,the two slices of cheese and heat it,like that,but then kevin spotted this and i,thought well why not kill two birds with,one stone,this was two dollars at walmart which i,thought was pretty cheap,um they're 45 calories a slice which is,the exact same,as the uh two percent cheese that i buy,anyway and that surprised me too because,normally velveeta is a higher calorie,than that,so i'm still going to use two slices but,i don't have to load it up with the,jalapeno in the middle tonight,i don't see any but we'll see there's,little spots there yeah we'll see,but i'm going to try it on my regular,the heiner's bread that i'm,i'm used to having now i do have the,aunt millie's bread,um and i'm going to review it tomorrow,night once i've had,the sandwich with this new kind of,cheese on,my regular bread then i'll be able to,tell you what i think of the,new kind of cheese on uh potato bread,so um um,i'm gonna cook this and then i'll try it,and let you know what i think of the,cheese,okay i tried the cheese i ate half of uh,half a sandwich,and this cheese is a lot more uh orange,color than the two percent,um but as far as taste goes,it does have the jalapeno taste but it's,not strong i mean like,if you don't like hot foods i don't,think you would mind this cheese,if you just like it a little mild it's,there but it's not gonna burn your,throat it's not gonna hurt or anything,like that,um i will use the slices i have,but for me i miss the crunch,of the actual jalapeno rings um,i'm used to that texture being in the,middle if that makes any sense at all,i'm a,texture person when i eat and i'm used,to that texture being there,so i miss that and it is a little bit,hotter,so this is good the velveeta is,definitely good,but for me it's not hot enough,this is going to be a bread comparison,take two,a couple months ago uh kevin and i,andrew and christina found the some aunt,millie's bread,and they loved it so they wanted us to,try and,we'd never heard of potato bread the,whole word potato,and i've heard this from other people as,well so it's not just me,if you're not used to hearing potato,bread that kind of is off-putting,so we tried the multi-grain ant mellies,and we weren't that crazy about it,because we were comparing it to heiner's,white bread so melissa,from aunt millie sent me a coupon she,said if you like,uh white bread you really need to try,the potato bread so that's what i'm,doing tonight,i got my free loaf of aunt millie's,bread and just to say this,it was 40 cents cheaper anyway the aunt,mellie's was 40 cents cheaper,at kroger than heiner's which is,surprising because,kroger is usually more expensive on,everything anyway so to be,40 cents cheaper on aunt millie's than,walmart was on heiners,it surprised me so right now i'm just,gonna open it up,and one thing i did like about aunt,millie's last time was the slices were,uh nice sandwich uh type slices like,this,that is a huge slice the calories,that are both 35 calories both the same,amount of slices,in the heiners and the aunt millies,everything,is the same so i don't know how it's,possible that this bread i'll show it to,you,this is the heiners and okay i just,picked a random piece this is one thing,about heiner's i've noticed,almost all the slices have holes i don't,like that but i've always liked the,taste,but i want you to notice i don't know,how,aunt millie's does it how they get there,so much bigger,but potato bread not but even the,even though their multi-grain bread was,just like this when we compared it,it was exactly like this it was that,much bigger,same thickness yeah so i don't know how,they do it,so i know what the heiners tastes like,and last night you saw that i was trying,the velveeta jalapeno,sliced cheese so i'm going to do the,same thing tonight,and i'm going to use the aunt millie's,potato bread,instead of my heiners and i will let you,know what i think,one of the things we want to do with the,potato bread was try it toasted,and so i'm just going to take this is a,piece of potato bread and i'm going to,eat,half of it just regular and i'm going to,put butter on the other half,because i like toast without the butt,so let's see what it tastes like just,plain,has a lot of flavor to it it's really,good toasted um,you can see the color it tasted good,some of the the 35 bread doesn't taste,very well,it tastes really funny that's really,good actually,doesn't taste potato let's go that way,it's even better with butter that is,really good bread,actually,it's got a good texture good consistency,toast really well,got a good flavor to it um i would eat,that in place of honors at least on,toast,i'm actually going to eat a peanut,butter jelly

hey what is up flavor family it is Bobby,and art back at the grocery store to,review bread oh my gosh there are so,many options for bread and I kind of got,news for you probably 85% of them are no,good and last week at the end of a,Costco video we asked you what do you,want to see next week and bread was the,overwhelming request so we are gonna,hook you up the thing is a lot of people,try to give up red and they just can't,do it so if you're gonna eat bread I,want to make sure you guys are eating,bread that's nutritious made with real,and good ingredients and it's not gonna,spike your blood sugar and make you,hungry 30 minutes later I want it to be,really really satiating bread,so before we break down all these breads,hook me up you guys subscribe to our,channel because every single week we are,rocking out three videos two videos on,the weekend one at live stream during,the week better yet there's a little,bell icon right below the video click,that bell because you don't want to miss,these live streams we're cooking a,recipe we'll start to finish and it's,super fun alright so first off I thought,we start with the worst of the worst,they don't even have it here at Whole,Foods I brought it in the white bread,right this is the stuff I kind of grew,up with my parents would take us to the,Wonder Bread factory just outside of,Chicago we'd get this we make sandwiches,and feed the ducks at the local pond,poor me poor ducks because this stuff is,the worst of the worst look at the,ingredients the number-one ingredient is,unbleached enriched wheat flour so,that's red flag number one never buy,breads made with bleached or unbleached,flour because they're basically taking,what was a whole green stripping it down,and getting rid of all the good stuff,the white bread and the grains like this,will spike your blood sugar and make you,hungry 30 minutes later and has no,nutrition in fact they strip them all,away and if you read the ingredients,that put some of them back in man made,which is really really bad and the,reason why you want to buy whole grains,is cause it's a complete green it has,the bran the germ and the endosperm when,you have the enriched you'll get rid of,all the good stuff except the endosperm,which is why they add that nutrients,here because it took all the good stuff,away then you have stuff here like,partially hydrogenated vegetable oils,tons of chemicals and bad ingredients,and generally the bread is super light,and you can squish its into a ball like,that it's typically a bad thing so this,is a no-no that I think you guys all,knew that,then I brought this with me to any fob,bred from pet root pepperidge farm is,gonna be a know this is probably one of,their life or premier lines the,farmhouse oatmeal bread and it feels,kind of heavy and dense and you might,think it's good but this is where you,have to read the ingredients on the back,number one it's within rich wheat flour,so not whole grains at strike one,it's got soybean oil does it say it's,non-gmo No,so they're using a highly processed,highly refined soybean oil that has a,chemical called hexane to extract all,the oil so that's really bad but a lot,of breads will use something like,monoglycerides it's another word for,Ingo conditioner it's a chemical they,put into the bread so it bakes quicker,why do you want to bake bread quicker,because they're a factory right they,want to churn and burn these out as,quickly as possible good bread is worth,waiting for us so anything that has a,little conditioner and I'll put the list,of all the names for that you want to,avoid so this is a no and anything from,pepperidge farm as and no let's go to,something really really good sprouted,breads these are the Bobby approved top,choice for bread because nutrition and,ingredients is amazing this brand is,silver hills it's a really good quality,bread now why do you want sprouted,grains because it's a grain soaked in,water until a little tail forms and it's,ground into a paste and made into bread,sprouted breads are very easy for their,body to digest plus when you sprout a,grain there's a ton more nutrients your,body derives out of it so it's a double,whammy which is why you want to buy this,one and then look at the ingredients,this one's my favorite the Big Reds,bread organic sprouted wheat the grains,seeds nuts you don't see any chemicals,you don't see any dough conditioners,this stuff is really good if you want a,lighter texture the little big bread,it's a little softer and chewier great,for sandwiches and then right above it,is brown berry which I want you to avoid,because marketing gimmicks right natural,weeds and other titles like cracked,wheat multigrain seven grain all-natural,doesn't mean anything all you have to do,is turn it over and read the ingredients,the first one is cracked wheat cracked,wheat is another word for unbleached,enriched white flour,not work there's soybean oil in here,once again is it non-gmo no it's not so,this is just as bad as white bread bu

so it seems like everywhere you turn,around these days you're gonna find,another,keto friendly or low carb bread and it's,great to see this stuff coming out there,it's great to see people,putting their best foot forward when it,comes down to living a lower,carbohydrate lifestyle,but let's be real just because it's keto,doesn't mean that it's healthy or that,it's clean,or that it's truly even keto friendly,okay a lot of people can easily jump on,a marketing bandwagon and,slap a keto label with no real,regulation nothing's really,defining if it's keto or not so i'm,seeing a lot of these keto breads and,this started a while ago i did a video,when i went to costco,and i found that they had keto bread and,i uncovered,keto bread there and i took one look at,it and i was like whoa is this what's,out on the market right now,so i figured i'd put together a little,shopping guide to help you understand,what you should be looking for on a,label,if you're shopping for true low carb,bread because there's a few things you,really need to just be careful of hey if,you like these kind of videos you like,consumer reviews you like keto you like,low carb you like fasting this is the,channel bread video but truth be told,really is a stellar product so check,them out down below,they're made with almond flour made with,psyllium just a really cool thing,they've got tortillas they've got buns,they've got all kinds of stuff,so down below in the description but,let's also arm yourself with knowledge,so you know how to shop because,they're everywhere okay the first thing,you want to look for is net carbs this,sounds very elementary to someone that,is an avid keto person right but it's,important to note because i've seen a,couple of particular brands i'm not,going to name names,that claim high fiber and therefore,implying it's automatically low carb,net carbs are what matters not the fiber,content if the net carbs are still going,to be,5 6 7 10 grams of carbohydrates even if,the fiber is exponentially higher,that does not mean that it's keto,friendly so disregard fiber at the end,of the day,and look at the net carbohydrate number,that being said there's a curve ball so,if that net carbohydrate number,is factoring in sugar alcohols it throws,a pretty big wrench in things,because as far as what the fda requires,on a label,sugar alcohols can technically be,subtracted from the net carbohydrates,so that means you could have a bunch of,sugar alcohols in something,and it's going to tell you that it's low,carb even though those sugar alcohols,may contribute to your overall,carbohydrate load,not necessarily blood sugar but still,carbohydrates okay,so these are not necessarily always bad,but there's something you want to be,cognizant of okay,xylitol maltitol mannitol,isomalt even glycerin in bread you have,to be careful of,because there's a study that was,published in the canadian journal of,diabetes it looked at xylitol,and they found that about 50 of xylitol,is actually absorbed,meaning 50 of the carbohydrates from,xylitol were actually affecting,the person as way of carbohydrates so a,general rule of thumb,is to not follow what the net carbs say,when it comes to sugar alcohols,take the sugar alcohols divide it by two,and that is the true carbohydrate effect,so,simple math here if you have 10 grams of,sugar alcohol,in something you're gonna count five,of those carbohydrates you're gonna,count half of those because it's safe to,assume that 50,will get absorbed so in other words be,very cautious,with sugar alcohols a lot of times i'll,load them into a product to add flavor,to something that might be a little bit,bland,another thing is the types of fiber okay,chicory root is commonly used,in keto breads or low carb breads small,amounts of chicory root is fine but the,amount that is needed in bread to really,give it the volume,and the texture that they're after is,quite a bit and there's quite a few,studies that,demonstrate that chicory root can cause,some pretty severe,gastric upset another thing you might,see is inulin which is going to be an,even more concentrated form,again inulin can be used as a prebiotic,fiber and not always bad,but if you're consuming two slices of,bread you're gonna have a lot of inulin,which is probably gonna make you feel,fairly uncomfortable but when it's,combined with some other things then it,gets really sketchy,okay so now we're talking about the oils,here this is the big piece i need you to,be careful about,okay do not turn off this video listen,to this piece hey everybody southern brother Here I am,back with another video and just want to,welcome everybody back to my channel and,this video is going to be something,really really different that a lot of,people have never thought about but I,have been asked this question time and,time again seems like forever I know,that I've stated in other videos that I,had owned a bread route for about 14,years,well today is that day here is the bread,man's video I'm gonna answer some,questions as far as things that you've,asked me and the biggest I guess,statement that I have had over the years,is well how hard could it be it's just a,loaf of bread well you would be,surprised how much is involved and,hopefully this video will show you just,how involved owning the bread route or,just running a bread route how much,there is involved with it and let me,tell you it's a lot now let me give you,a brief history I started out in the,grocery business as a teenager and went,through numerous jobs throughout my life,and then when my now ex-wife was coming,back from the military I had to get a,full-time job good-paying job and I kind,of fell into the bread business and I,had no choice but to make the best of it,well I did really well in it for a long,time made a lot of money with it but,unfortunately with the bread route it,takes up your whole life you may work,actually delivering you may work ten or,twelve hours but that's not all that's,entailed in it there is a lot of other,things,I mean you as you will see in the video,you go to where depending on what,company work for you,you go to the warehouse either pull your,bread or your bread is already at your,door for you and then you have to,separate your bread by stops that you,ordered which is the way it was at the,company that I used to work for or with,the company that I did this particular,video for you just pull your own bread,and then you just take the full trays,and you put them on your truck and then,as you get to each store you will see,what they need and then you will go back,out to your truck and pull what they,need and take it in so each company's a,little different but the principles are,still the same so I hope that this will,answer some questions for everybody and,actually for my family and friends that,have asked me about it over the years I,hope this gives you a little clarity of,what I went through for so many years so,I hope everybody enjoys it so you guys,just sit back and hopefully I got all,the aspects of it at least a clear,enough message that you will understand,so here you go everybody go,through when it comes to dealing with,grocery stores the process at which you,have to do it so you guys come along for,the ride and let's get this done and,show you all exactly what it is so I,will grab my stuff I already got my,lunch packed got the computer and the,printer ready to go so I'm gonna go,ahead and walk out to the truck and,we're gonna get started,alright let this thing warm up now,we got a printout or order I happened to,be running a pepperidge farm bread route,so I have to,going here oops wrong one,the back the sellable,and we'll do load,we have to highlight today's orders,just need to print it out,let's head on down the road,finally made it to our exit,fifteen minute drive,over to the Depot about a file and I,have,and go get our,bunch of bread today get them loaded and,get them to the stores so let's do it,hey guys I'm at the depot I don't know,if you can tell in the background there,was a bunch of bread in there you got to,pull your own got a list right here got,to grab what I ordered,let's go check it out as you can see,I've got all your bread right over in,here you got to pull it yourself,according to the order and then you got,to load it up on okay I want to do a bread comparison we,are used to eating this 35 calorie bread,behind earlier said I'm sorry I don't,have a whole lot there,it's heiner's 35 white bread 35 calories,per slice so we are used to this bread,and I'll just get a piece out in the,middle and usually there's holes in it,and some are big and some are small but,we went to visit my son and,daughter-in-law and they were we're not,impressed with the heiner's they said,that they pulled an extra small piece,out of the loaf of bread and so would,really aggravate them cuz it's expensive,it's not as cheap as the butternut or,other kinds of bread so they had bought,this Aunt Millie's 35 calorie bread and,they bought the whole grain and so,that's what I picked up at the store,today they also had one called potato,and I just don't know how that would,taste with the word potato and I don't,know it just makes me not want to try it,and it's different so yeah and I'm,really funny about Brad I want it to be,you know tastes like bread so I'm just,gonna pull a piece of this they're both,just so you know they're both they both,have the same number of slices in the,bags so even though a nor first thing I,think this is bigger it is the same,number of slices and I'm seeing right,away that it's definitely wider it's,definitely a wider piece of bread and,I'll just put this on top here so you do,get it's the same size from top to,bottom and from side to side you do get,you do get more is it the same thickness,Kevin it's exactly the same the same,thickness so this aunt millie's is wider,it has like four more ounces in this,whole love so I don't know how that's,possible how,works out but if it tastes good I will,buy this from now on we've been using,the hunters per year so it'll be quite a,challenge but we can do a toast test on,it because I know one of the things I,did not like about the 35 calorie white,bread does not toast well yeah every one,I've heard from a need or Kristina we've,tried this toasted the heiner's none of,us have liked it toasted so yes we will,definitely we will toast a piece right,now and we will try and I'm going to,make me a sandwich and I'll let you know,what I think of the taste of this - all,right a little toast test I just took,both pieces improving the toaster at the,same time one on one side one on the,other,I'm you can see this one getting get as,brown as this one they're both feel,toasted I mean they both have a crust on,them this side did taste a little bit,browner on this one and a little bit,brown on this one as well so maybe this,one just doesn't get as brown as the,other one but this one I don't like the,top says early so I'll try one of the,bottoms they really got toasted good,well does it make a difference that this,the heiner's is white and the and that,made that maybe I don't toast a lot oh,so it could be at this one didn't you,brown because of that but like I said it,is toasted I can hear it oh yeah yeah,it's okay it has a strange texture to it,wink assisted it's like um I don't know,almost like a grainy texture to it it's,not bad it's just kind of different,let's get a good flavor to they actually,both taste tested about the same that,one doesn't have that that grainy,texture to but it has more of a I don't,know what the right word is maybe a,fibrous texture maybe a little thicker,texture to it I'm not sure exactly what,the war would be but it's a little,thicker when you taste it then this one,is so they're both good they actually,the white one I touched it better than I,remembered it toasting so I didn't taste,bad could be that I'm just used to,eating this bread nowadays and I wasn't,way back then well they were pretty good,actually toasted it's a draw it's not,the wine I was still working on this but,I wanted to just follow up by most of it,and actually enjoy the white better,toasted with a little bit of butter on,it I just put very little this Land,O'Lakes butter I'm not a whole lot I,liked the white better could be this,because I'm used to white bread the,wheat bread though I don't dislike weak,where I've never disliked we brought I,like wheat bread so I don't think it's,because it's wheat bread I think it's,just it has a little bit different,flavor to it than we're used to I'm sure,if we were to eat it regularly we would,like it but as if if I were to say hey I,want a piece of toast I would go into,the white hunters brand,I've been eating and I've tried you can,tell a little bit this is a tuna fish,sandwich and it could be exactly what,Kevin said we could be just used to the,heiner's bread I don't care for this I,mean I ate my sandwich this is my dinner,I really didn't care for it though it's,just the flavor of it I don't like it I,just like the white the white heiner's,bread different this just has a,different flavor than I'm used to I,could get used to you can get used to,anything but do I prefer the heiner's,yes I will keep buying the heiner's if,Kevin doesn't finish off this loaf then,I will give it to a tou

hey there it's steve from series keto,and in this video i am going to review,carbonat bread now this is one of the,most requested products i've been asked,to review,so here we go,it seems not a wheat goes by that i,don't get someone asking me if i've,tried carbonate bread or if i would do a,review of carbonate bread now i haven't,seen it anywhere around here in,wisconsin apparently it's regionally,available both in the u.s and in canada,at places like costco target whole foods,etc it's also available on amazon now,interestingly last week carbonaut,reached out to me and asked if they,could send me some bread and i said sure,i'll give it a try they sent me their,hamburger buns their white bread their,seeded bread and their cinnamon raisin,bread when i looked up the prices for,the loaves of these breads or the bag of,the buns i had a little bit of sticker,shock,seems the prices range anywhere from,about six dollars a loaf or bag to 12,depending on how much you buy,so a little pricey this better tastes,really good,also one of the things that i haven't,been doing in videos lately is testing,my glucose i had one continuous glucose,monitor left and i wanted to save it for,a special occasion,this is that occasion so,i've got it on and i'm going to test,using the levels software first let's,take a look at the ingredients,the white bread seeded bread and buns,pretty much all the same,we've got water wheat protein resistant,potato and or tapioca starch flax meal,highlight sunflower oil,i hope i pronounced that right oleic,oleic,i know i print out sunflower right,psyllium husk yeast inulin cultured,wheat starch p fiber salt and citric,acid the cinnamon raisin bread is sort,of the odd man out here,that uses primarily modified resistant,tapioca starch,what else we got there the hialeigh,sunflower oil chicory root fiber native,corn starch psyllium yeast modified,cellulose rice bran xanthin gum cinnamon,natural flavor and salt,now for each of these tests i will be,eating the bread or buns the way that i,would eat them in real life meaning,either toasted with butter on it or as a,sandwich or with a burger now i realize,that having these additional ingredients,may blunt the glucose response a bit but,i'm aware that i want to eat these the,way that i would eat them in real life,and test them the way that my body would,i guess deal with them in real life,so we're gonna head on over the toaster,and toast up some cinnamon raisin bread,butter it up give it a test,all right i'm going to start by taking a,glucose reading,we're at 96 and you can see it's been,stable pretty much since i got up this,morning,i have toasted and buttered two slices,of this bread,which i will now take a picture of with,the level software so that we can start,the tracking,so here we go my first ever taste of,carbonate bread,now it does not have the sort of gluteny,chew that normal bread has,and also as soon as i buttered it really,kind of got kind of thin i don't know if,you can see it all that well,texturally i'd say it's better than any,store-bought keto bread that i've had in,the past,there's still something,almost a little bit powdery like to it,that's that's in my mouth it doesn't,have that same sort of like i said the,chew and moisture of traditional bread,but,it's,it's all right i think that's about the,best i can say about it i,it's all right i i don't i don't feel,like this is something i would really be,craving,from time to time but if it doesn't,spike my blood glucose,i could see making some bread pudding,out of this,so i'm gonna eat this other piece and,then we'll be back in two hours to see,what the impact was,so the two hour mark the level software,has enough data to rate this particular,food item,and it rated it as a four,that's not great it's not horrible but,still a 42 point spike in my blood,glucose and it lasted over 90 minutes,let me see where we're at,right now,so here we are two and a half hours,later and i'm still at a 111 for my,blood glucose started at a 96 so i,haven't even gotten back to baseline,yet,now since blood glucose tends to lead in,terms of a metric by about 15 minutes,versus a continuous glucose monitor,i took my reading at 23 after the hour,this was just getting right close to the,two hour mark using a keto mojo and i,was at 120. i took my reading 15 minutes,later on the freestyle libre and,i got exactly what i expected a 120. so,it's good to see that there's,consistency in the measurements what's,bad to see is that that bread is gonna,be a no-go,so now i'm going to try out the white,carbonate bread now the reason i made,those air quotes is if you look at this,it's really sort of a light wheat,looking it's not like white bread like,wonder bread type white once again i'll,start by grabbing a glucose reading,and we are at a 91,then i'll use the level software to kick,off the measurement,and i'm going to test this out a couple,of different ways,the smell,fairly pretty,oh it's tearing like bread,now try it without anything
